You can always talk non-seriously about KH and other topics in the spamzone. It still happens.

While its agreeable that a major reason people come online is to go into the spamzone, you're forgetting that members who mainly stay in the KH sections/other sections still spam every once in awhile. The spamzone provides an outlet for people who simply want to spam/chat/get to know other people and since it is there, in return people spam less in other sections. Removing the spamzone would either result in

1. People leaving the site
2. People turning another section into a spamzone

And neither of these are good. You also have to take into account that kh games are not coming out everyday, meaning during the times of games being released and still in production (which can last for years after BBS comes out) without the spamzone things would get pretty damn slow. Those times are already slow enough.

You say that off topic talk is fine, but usually the best events in the spamzone would be unacceptable (or spam) written in any other section, even if the talk was looser in those sections.

Question Time or KH-Vids User Awards in any other section? It doesnt work out. (And these things aren't Intelligent-Discussion worthy).

So maybe the other sections are a little less fun. Any radical change to the site (as in removing the spamzone as is) would probably ruin the site. KHV has been getting by fine "as is."

Besides, making any of the other sections looser would result easily in them turning into other spamzones. The one thing about our current spamzone is that while they are still monitored by staff, unless someone starts a flame war or posts porn, they don't have to do much about the content in the spamzone because, as you said, its meant for things that are "carbage."

Do you know how much harder it would be monitoring the other sections, where posts do count if things were looser? They would have to re-define the rules of each section, and constantly have to delete posts/give warnings/ban people when these rules are broken.
