Macs are great. I'm not sure what experience you've had with macs so far but I got one over the past summer and I'm happy with it. Safari is one of the fastest browsers ever, not to mention its really personable and easy to customize. I havent had any problems with mine so far. It also doesnt get viruses as easily pc's do, because most viruses are made for pc's anyway. People say they suck, but as a PC user for like 10 years they really are the same in most areas. At some point it comes down to personal preference. But by all means, I recommend them. They perform really well, they're fast, and easy to use. /mac commercial. XD
