    That.

Or... I don't know if this is kinda jumping the gun here but I have a feeling that she may pull off another Aerith act. After all, the trailer released with ACC implied that something happened to Serah, not to mention some of the crew from the original FFVII is working on the game (up to the point that Lightning acts like Cloud, Sazh = Barret, etc.)

But like I said, probably just jumping to conclusions.

I'm reading that one right now too. AP English stinks.

Although I find it funny how I got the same school book copy as my sister's from years past. :'D

Anyway, another book I'm still reading is The Great Gatsby. It was interesting up until one point and then I just stopped. .___.

I don't know why but I'll eventually have to read the rest of it for the AP Summer Reading tests in October. Ew.

Since it's in that Tim Burton style, this will probably be a movie I'll enjoy watching. I haven't seen it yet but perhaps I'll go this weekend or something. It looks really good for an animated movie though...

This Japanese-schoolgirl-esque-looking person is confirmed to be Lightning's sister. :O Here's the fully translated portion under her profile.

    Serah Farron:
"She is Lightning's younger sister. A headstrong girl who believes in solving her own problems and not getting other people involved. She is always very concerned for her elder sister. She wears a necklace on her chest, a present from Snow. Lightning does not approve of her engagement with Snow. Like her sister, she is a L'Cie and is marked with a tattoo of two red spheres on her left arm."

*note the necklace's design (hard to see I know) and the logo design are eerily similar...*

It's unknown at this time whether she's a playable character... but it would really interesting if so lol.

Expect more information in either the next issue or at the upcoming TGS 09. Or both.

I think Gilgamesh is a pretty cool character. I really like his Amano artwork design and his battle music/theme song is kick-ass (i.e., Clash on the Big Bridge). His other incarnations were also swell but my favorite would have to be the original FFV version. I haven't played that specific game but looking at all of the videos of him makes him sorta likeable.

I wish that he had a bigger role in Dissidia but oh well. But he'd better be in XIII. I'd love to hear an awesome remix of his theme.

Ah, thanks for the update. Good luck to Bret Iwan for filling in the giant shoes for Mickey Mouse. I hope that he will contain the same spirit that is seen in the character. :]

I believe so. But I did hear that they have one more playable main character to announce so who knows (total of six I presume).

And the equivalent prices of games in Japan to other countries is always a little bit higher than one would normally see. I'm pretty sure it won't be that expensive when it hits store shelves in your area. But then again, they could be talking about the bundle pack or something like that.

Just have Shadow in it and then I'm sold.

But in all seriousness, I'm quite excited about this. I hope there's at least a decent storyline to go with it. If not, I can still buy with mindless jumping and sidescrolling, just like the good ol' days. I think, like what most people think anyway, that this is a right direction for SEGA to go towards.

I also kinda hope this will then lead up to Sonic Adventure 3 too but perhaps that's too soon to account for. :|

Ocarina of Time, I think, is one of the best games out there (well, almost anything released on the N64 probably was... maybe).

But yeah, I remember my brothers playing it and beating the game (getting all of the Skullutas) took forever. I think my favorite part of the game was the Spirit Temple, just 'cause it had awesome music (or was it Gerudo Valley? Don't remember hehe...).

But anyway, I'd recommend trying to get it (I believe there's still a Gamecube version out there...) and play it to see where all the 3-D experience of Zelda began. :]

BTW, I thought the Wall-masters in the Forest Temple were the creepiest things ever in that game. *shivers*

It looks like Lionel Richie Sazh has a son in the upcoming Final Fantasy title.

    http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/5531/ffxiiisept9scan1.jpg

Here's some info from the scan (posted off from Livejournal) :

    # The scans reveal Sazh's son, translated name is Dodge.
    # Final Fantasy XIII Playstation 3 bundle to coincide with the launch of the game
    # Final Fantasy XIII will be coming out on the 17th December in Japan and it will be costing 8,800 yen without tax and 9,240 yen including tax. That translated to almost exactly 100USD or 60GBP.
    # J-Pop artist Sayuri Sugawara will be performing the theme for Final Fantasy XIII. The song will be called "Kimi ga iru Kara" (translated to "Because You're Here") and it will be released on December 2nd.
    # A Final Fantasy XIII Potion drink announced (I'm hoping it's as good? as the Dissidia potion...)

With the release of FFXIII in Japan coming this December 17 (not to mention the Tokyo Game Show around the corner), we can expect to see more new characters and awesomeness coming out of this game.

Alright, I've found the problem. It was actually the Data Install option that's screwing the game up. I deleted that and now my game is working fine. I've heard that some PSP's don't really need the Data Install (cuz to tell the truth, it's loading faster without it).

But anyway, thanks guys for at least trying to help. :]

OFW? If there was such an update, I would have done it by now. I've been playing the game since the day it came out but for some reason, it's stopping to work now...

EDIT: I've figured out the problem. You can ignore this thread.

Alright, so I have the UMD copy of Dissidia loaded onto my PSP. I turn it on and there goes the PSP logo. So then, I hear the UMD loading and the screen goes black. I see the memory stick logo blink. After a couple of seconds or so, the PSP automatically turns off. D:?

I have no idea what's going on. I tried my *one* other PSP games and are working just fine but the particular one is Dissidia. Now, I did have some trouble loading with the game, specifically before a battle (when they give you that Loading screen) and it freezes. My entire PSP completely froze for a while but I eventually got it back to turning it on and off again. I took out the game and let my PSP rest (since we have been playing for 12 days straight :x). The next morning (right now) I turn on my PSP, put in Dissidia, and the weird thing is happening. I'm not sure whether it's my UMD copy to blame or just the PSP.

Well, knowing that it is one of the very few great PSP games out there, this is definetely one to add to anyone's collection. It's decent enough as an introduction to the series, as well as the nostalgia-factor towards the older fans. The gameplay also reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, so extra points there I suppose.

Hey guys, updated first post with scans of our other antagonist from FFXIII, Yaag Rosch and of Lightning's summon, Odin.

    First off, with FFXIII:

    http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1736/ffxiiidissidiaaug19scan.jpg

EDIT: Here's some high quality scans featuring more of Yaag Rosch and Odin, Lightning's summon

    http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/8364/ffxiiiaug24scan1.jpg
(You can just sense the evil in his squinting...)

    http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/724/ffxiiiaug24scan2.jpg

Reveals yet another new character named Jill Nabato. She works for the Holy Government as a Lieutenant Colonel in the world of Cocoon (you might also have seen her in many previous trailers). Also shows Odin in action.

    Final Fantasy XIV

At Gamescon, there were clips of gameplay being shown, featuring each of the different races within the game. The video links can be found here:

    http://community.livejournal.com/ff_compilations/134586.html

(^I haven't seen these my self yet)

And finally, there will be an international version for Dissidia (because the Japanese can never be left out with all the goody stuff the American/European versions have) called Dissidia Final Fantasy: Universal Tuning, as seen in the FFXIII scan above. Again, all the stuff from American/European release will be included in this. So I guess this means that online play will be compatible overseas? We'll see when it's released November 1 for UMD and PSN Downloadable.

    Discuss and all.
