Let's have a party!
I talked to Stardust, and she said as long as this is kept in a medical context, then it should be fine. So, please, no sex jokes or anything of the like. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puberty I'm mostly creating this because something got my curiosity, and that's voice changes. According to that article, on average, girls begin puberty at 10-11 and finish it at 15-17 and boys begin at 11-12 and finish at 16-17. I know that's on average, but even with that, at ages 18, 19, 20, etc., we are still growing and such, so does growing not really count as puberty since we do that ever since we're born? As for voices changes, during puberty it's more noticeable in males than females. Why is that? According to that Wikipedia article, it has something to do with the larynx. Generally, I noticed that until I was about 18 or 19, my voice often sounded higher and not my age. I believe a lot of it is that I have a bad habit of talking too fast -- my brain is ahead of my mouth -- because I noticed when I woke up in the mornings around 14, and even now when I wake up, my voice was deep and sounded my age, but as soon as I was really awake, it sounded higher. At one point I told my mom that, and she said it had something to do with not breathing when you talk too fast, but I can't really remember what she said. Here are some gameplay videos where I talk: March 29, 2007 - Age: 15 July 14, 2010 - Age: 18 Because this is a let's play, both my friend and I talk, so I picked a time for you guys to listen to my voice. Skip to 05:30. April 2, 2011 - Age: 19 I'm the first one that talks. August 19, 2012 - Age 20: Turn the sound up. I start talking 20 seconds in. Discuss.
This is something I've been curious about for a while. Is it possible to be affected by bad weather from other areas? As you know, Hurricane Sandy has been going on in the East, and it's been cloudy and rainy over here, so is it possible we're getting the hurricane weather, but in a minor form?
It's Halloween!
My mom was trying to install a burner program last night, when her computer froze. She gave up and just shut it down via the power button. This morning, her computer wouldn't start. It gets to the black screen that appears during boot-up and it asks, "Boot from CD?" That means it crashed last night. She said it's also been acting weird before this. When she did the CTRL + ALT + DEL to get the Task Manager up in order to end programs, the desktop would just go blank.
Who here knows of Metta World Peace?
Yup, another Misty thread. This time, let's talk about her love for water Pokémon.
So I unintentionally fell asleep last night and woke up at 2:19 AM. I brushed my teeth and then got in bed and could not fall asleep right away, and I was still up at 3:00 AM. Anyway, I was watching TeenNick, and Degrassi is on. This particular episode is about a prom or something with this one girl who doesn't want to go because she thinks she's fat and "Who would want to go with me?" She gives notes to this guy to help him in class, and Paige (I only remember her name) gets jealous. She decides to go to the prom, but Paige gives her some drink that starts with an S and makes her drunk, as well as pulling her skirt up a bit. At the dance while dancing with the guy, she collapses and then runs to the bathroom to vomit. One of the other plots involves two young-ish guys (I would say by their looks that they were 14 or 15) wanting to look at porn, and the kid and his friend tell the kid's parents they're not going. Right when they leave, they go to look at it, get a parental lock, but unlock it because he's an expert with computers. They end up losing the connection and then getting it back. While wondering what to call one of the woman's boobs (I think it was something like that) their parents get home early, and the father's makes some comment along the lines of, "I think she looks..." to which they get panic-y because they were caught. Their punishment? They watched porn with their parents, which also included men. I'll try to find out more info. about this on Wikipedia later, but I've got to get going now.
Come November 4, PDT will become PST. c:
I know there are already threads about this in The Spam Zone, but I figured we needed a play to discuss only the hurricane without jokes. There are several articles in this link regarding it. Everyone in the affected areas, please stay safe. You're in my prayers.
Simple. Correct the previous person's sentence to the best of your ability, and, then, type something incorrectly for the next person to correct. Let's start. i wanted to go the prince and queens store to get a bed but they dont have any beds
First of all, I've been waiting for two of the forty things I will be downloading to finish since yesterday morning because Cloud File is even worse than Rapid Share. Anyway, I fell asleep around 11:00 PM, so I didn't even get a chance to update my YouTube, wake up around 12:30 AM and browse the Internet for a while again, go to bed and am still awake by 3:00 AM, and wake up and fall asleep on and off. I had changed my alarms from 5:55 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:05 AM to 5:25 AM, 5:30 AM, and 5:35 AM because we had upgraded back up to the 200 package on DISH, so I wanted to watch TeenNick's Obsess This, and I fell asleep on it. TeenNick is on Eastern time, and TeenNick's Obsess This used to be on at 10:00 AM on Saturdays, which would be 7:00 AM for me, and 12:00 PM on Sundays, which would be 9:00 AM for me, but then they decided to stupidly move it to 8:30 AM both days, which would be 5:30 AM for me.
Thia is old, but I thought I'd post it here since it hasn't been posted yet. R.I.P. Source: ABC News Published: 10/16/2012
Because I just don't get it. The Looney Tunes Show, which just happens to be on right now, is rated TV PG. Why?
This is probably trivial, but, hey. Just like with vBulletin, the default Session Timeout here is 15 minutes. However, even though they disappear from the Members Online Now list, here I noticed that their last location shows for quite a while. For example, (user) was last seen: Viewing latest content, 53 minutes ago After a while, it's just (user) was last seen: Today at 7:18 AM. What determines how long that lasts? From my viewpoint, it looks like it varies, because when I'm gone for two hours for my GED and come home for lunch or come home for the day, it'll sometimes say different things. For example, let's say it's 12:52 PM and I had just left to go back to the GED place from lunch and my last activity was 12:44 PM, and let's say I get back at precisely 2:07 PM and click on my avatar to get the mini-preview of my profile. It'll show one of two things, going by my original username: Amaury was last seen: Viewing forum Introductions & Departures, Today at 12:44 PM Amaury was last seen: Today at 12:44 PM In fact, here's a screenshot of the very thing I'm talking about: Current time is 9:44 AM PDT. So, how does this work?
Lately, videos on YouTube seem to sort of freeze on and off at the beginning of the video sometimes, so the playback isn't smooth. Additionally, if I leave a video paused for a long time, such as 30 minutes or more, because I'm doing something else, such as editing something on Windows Movie Maker, watching a TV show, or not being home, when I click play, both the video and sound sound like when you're getting cut off on the phone, and a lot of times, the video disappears and the video player shows a static screen saying an error has occurred. Also, if I leave a video paused instead of going back to my channel, it's because I'm listening to a playlist, such as Basshunter. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's my browser or not, but I'm thinking of moving back to Google Chrome, so I thought it'd be nice to get a pros and contras list of them.

Not exactly sure what to call this, but I'll try to be as detailed as possible. This seems to be something that started after a very small incident occurred during my junior year (2010 - 2011) at the high school here. It was around the beginning of the school year, I believe, and sometime in that period, I sent a friend request to one of my newly made friends -- we'll call him by the first letter of his name, which is C -- on Facebook. Sometime later, he posted something on Facebook with bad grammar (e.g., if I was instead of if I were), and, as a joke, I decided to post a comment correcting his grammar. A while later, I noticed there was a supposed "Unfriend Day" on Facebook, in which you remove someone from your contacts, and I happened to notice it. So, the next time I saw him in my Junior English class, I asked about it, and he said it was due to that grammar comment, to which I responded that it was a joke, but he said it didn't seem like a joke, and ever since, his whole attitude towards me changed. I'm not sure if it was because of that incident or if it was a coincidence that his attitude changed at that time. If I talked to him, when he replied, he would sound annoyed. I mean, I'm pretty sure we're all like that sometimes when we respond to people, and I even had another friend -- we'll call him C #2 -- that was in my DigiTools class (also junior year) that responded that way sometimes and sounded annoyed, but for some reason, it didn't "affect" me like C's. As the year progressed, things got better, per se, between us, and he started sounding more pleasant. We happened to have another class together last year (2011 - 2012) when we were seniors, which was 3rd Year Spanish, and he still seemed to have that "attitude," but it didn't appear to be like junior year. There were some "bad" days, but there were also some "good" days, and as the year progressed, him, other friends, and I started having conversations and laughing it up. When we did our presentations of the research paper we had to do on a famous Hispanic artist, he gave me a really nice compliment on mine when I asked him what he thought of it. To this day, even though we don't see each other anymore, we're still friends, so I'm not exactly sure if the whole "attitude" thing was towards me or if it was just a coincidence. I mean, I'm pretty sure that for a while after the incident, it was, but... Anyway, that was just sort of the introduction to my main point of this thread. I almost always have a very hard time telling the tone of a message online. If I ask someone something somewhere, and I get a reply that's worded in just the right way, I automatically think that it's in a negative and "getting after me" way. This seems to be more on KH-V, though, because, while I'm fully active on some of my other forums just like I am here, I get into more conversations with the community here, and I get that same feeling a lot of times when responses to me are made, most notably to threads of mine in either Feedback & Assistance or Site Assistance, from anybody, not just one usergroup (Registered Users, Premium Members, Coders, Reporters, Moderators, Super Moderators, and Administrators), and so I often feel like I'm almost always getting on people's nerves here. The closest thing I can think of is anxiety, but I don't think it's that, as it's only with this one subject and nothing else. Anyway, any feedback will be highly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
Would it be possible to add a Former Staff sub-forum to Staff? I'm only suggesting this because the current way seems a little confusing -- perhaps not to us senior members, but for new members, most likely, because the Staff forum implies that all of those people are on staff, which isn't true. Thoughts?
What's ironic is that this isn't even the Japanese version.
