Still recovering from that bout of questioning, Kel ended up lagging behind his father and the others. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of Zeke riding on his father's shoulders. It reminded him greatly of when he was that age and got the same treatment and as much as he would love to continue reminiscing about that, with the summit coming up and his promise to Quill it would be best to pay attention during. Not to mention there was a matter of what to do with the information on where Karina actually was.

With people still walking in and getting seated for the summit, Kel took this chance to ponder just that. At one point the option of confrontation came to mind and was quickly tossed out just as quickly as it came to mind. Way too many negatives with that one. he had to put these thoughts on hold when someone else started speaking to him. "Uh yeah, it is." Not expecting his hair to become the topic of discussing, but it was short nonetheless. "I actually do know him, is he a friend of yours?"

In the short time after he explained his doubts to his father, not only had Aislinn had arrived with what he assumed to be her niece and nephew, the latter of which ran up to his father, but now his father was presuming that Aislinn was his girlfriend. Naturally, that was the first thing was to do was to address that. "No, no, no, she's not my girlfriend, she's just a friend and not the one who was missing that I was currently looking for." She was still missing and it was good to see that she was safe. Kel then looked at her to say, "You know that Luna is engaged." And the immediately turned to his father before any other misunderstanding could be made. "Not to me, someone from her home." Kel sighed, feeling an odd mixture of exhaustion and flustered after explaining all of that.

Oh shit. Briefly, a look of concern form on his face as his mother was added to the equation, the one person he'd really forgotten to take into account how they would feel about his sudden disappearance. Something else to add to the pile of things that he wasn't looking forward to. With the cobbler in front of him, Kel didn't start eating any of it right away and instead just picked at it as he listened. It wasn't too surprising hearing that his father's talent's had gotten him a position like it. That was pretty reminiscent of what happened back home in fact. "It's not that, I just got a lot on my mind." He broke off a piece of the cobbler to eat. "One of my friends is missing and despite everything that I've been told, I don't know how much of it that I believe."

As they walked and talked Kel felt a sort of nostalgia form within him. It was nice just being able to speak with his father like this, even if the circumstances were not at all how he envisioned them. At the first set of his questions Kel paused for a moment to think of the best way of answering. "Well we were given the name SOS a while back and it just stuck with us. As for the world's, they've anything you could imagine really." He then looked to his father after the nudge. "Still how did you even get here, let alone find out that I was here?" And this was going to be how he avoided a relationship talk with his father.

As reassuring as it was to hear that approval from his dad, he would actually need to leave so that he could keep his promise to Quill. It should be easy to manage so long as he told him the truth about that in particular. At the very least everything else that he wanted to ask of his father could be done while they actually ate. Not to mention peach cobbler did sound appealing right now. "That's cool, but if we're going to leave now you did kinda just lock the door."

When he was suddenly pulled in for a hug, Kel didn't do anything to object the sign of affection from his father. He didn't even speak, not that he had any idea on what to say, just stood there in silence. Then he was smacked on the head, rightfully so mind you. It didn't faze him too much as he's been hit by a lot worse since he's left. The same could be said for the next smack and before the hypothetical third one, Kel put up his hands in a mix of defense and to show that he was ready to speak. "It's a bit of a long story, but I had gotten a letter sent specifically to me asking for help because I had the keyblade. I'd show it to you but," He held up his right arm with the bracelet attached. "I didn't tell anyone because I didn't think I'd be gone for as long as I was." And that was true, to a much lesser degree than the actual reason he left.

In the simplest of terms, that was a complete and utter shitshow. One that there was nothing that they could do besides sit back and watch just how painfully one-sided the whole thing remained. By the end of it all Kaida was sentenced to basically life in the cell and for now, it had been dismissed. He didn't think that he would be able sit through any more of that. "I think I'm actually going to go see my dad after all of that." He said to his friends, taking out his compass and heading in the direction it pointed in. With the compass as his guide, he found his way to the elevator that took him to Level 6. Not long after that he was in section D, namely the room in which his father was. This also just happened to be the point where all the nerves kicked in. A million of questions to ask him and likely the same would be asked back at him and with everything regarding Karina and her father, dealing with his own father had not been something that he prepared for mentally. Still, he took in a deep breath to at least gain some semblance of calmness, then knocked on the door. "Hey dad, it's me."

The doubt was still there, but there was nothing that could be done about that now. "Then I'll wish you good luck in your endeavors." Was all that he could say with a nod before walking off alongside the others. Now for the trial itself, he had no idea what to think about any of this and not at all because of his lack of understanding of how all of thing worked. He didn't have much faith in how this was going to play out before getting here, but now actually this was on a different level

Kel had turned to look at General Xares when he had arrived to inform them of the end to visiting hours, offering his own words that didn't really do anything to reassure him about the trials his friends faced. Before he did leave however there was one thing he decided to ask of Cares before everything started. "How goes the search for your daughter?"

It seemed that one way or another that he was still roped into doing all this regardless of how he felt about it. Their first task had been a bunch of investigations that they currently lacked the proper amount of information to conduct. They were given a starting place in the form of the letter sent over to Danni, but she had been the only properly give it a read. "Whatever you think will be helpful." The letter was a good place to start and since Danni was currently holding it up, Zeke moved himself to that he too would be able to get a look at it as well.

Verdant Paradise and Demonic Front, a stark contrast in names and given the brief insight into Quill's homeworld that he was given, it did well to paint a picture onto it all. Kel committed both names to memory and nodded. "Got it, I'll let you know if I learn anything." He would've tried to decide upon a place for them to meet up, but with all the uncertainly surrounding the trials, it would be best to not set any false expectations. Though he wasn't sure why he had been locked in here. "The same way you ended up here behind those bars if I were to take a guess." This remark had been directed solely at Vanitas after he once again tried to put them on edge again with more mole talk. As much as he did acknowledge the concerns behind it, worrying too much on it with next to nothing to go off of would only be just what they wanted from them.

Bob finally left, name dropping someone as he did so though, to be honest, he couldn't really bring himself to care about most of what he told them. "Oh, hey you guys." Kel said, addressing Luna, AJ and the two guys that Luna had brought with her. Were they some of the other people from her home that was here as well? Certainly seemed possible as Luna offered her own solution to the troubles of their jailed friends. "Its basically as Faust said so I suppose your best chance at appealing for the others would be during the trials." The summit was technically an option as well, but that would take a fair amount of convincing that they might not be willing to listen to. Speaking of, he turned to Quill. "I don't mind keeping an eye for them, but what was your homeworld called so that I know what to keep an ear out for?"

His patience was already starting to run low with this guy, especially with how vague he was being. He didn't or really care about whoever this Aldwin person was or even if there actually was someone with that name. For all, he knew that these were just names he was making up just to further put them on edge. "Word of advice, if you're actually going to try and be helpful, maybe be a little less cryptic about it." Kel then turned away, fully wanting to be done with him now.

Ignoring the taunts of who could they trust from Vanitas, Aux had confirmed that it was Ven as the group of guards had moved to assist him out. "The med bay, got it." He muttered to himself as he nodded to Aux's instructions. If Ven's condition then it would make his job a bit easier. Now it was his turn to address the stranger who had walked up to Beuce, claiming to know who the supposed mole was. And why exactly should we trust you?" For how internalized this issue was, to have some complete stranger claim to know the solution was pretty suspicious by itself.

Kel blinked in noticable confusion as Kaida's impression of Karina left her an electrocuted mess on the ground. Certainly explained why Aux looked worse off than he usually did. "As fishy as that is, as long as the 'evidence' is in his favor we can't really call him out on anything. Also are you okay?" It actually looked like it might've hurt.

"Yeah, its a lot of work that needs to be done." He himself wasn't sure if he actually wanted to attend the summit or not, but depending on how his talk with his father went as that was yet another concern on his mind. Still, he hadn't thought that there would be someone for Beuce to confront at the summit. The nurse did mention someone about the Riven faction when they were informed of who was looking for them and with the little information that he had to go off of, he assumed that confrontation was not a reason for seeking him out.

Kel slowly trailed out of the elevator and absorbed the scene around him. Everyone was here and with the exception of Aux, seemed to be in good shape given where they were. One weight had been removed from his shoulders in just knowing that small amount of information. Granted there wasn't a whole lot that he could think to say as he ended up standing by Kaida's cell as well, offering a quick wave as she was one of the two people down here that he was closer to.

"I will be sure to keep that in mind." Kel said as Alexander finished shaking his hand and did the same to Beuce before leaving. Karina's actual location was still unknown, but they were at least able to see their arrested friends sooner than planned. A good outcome but in the end, his doubts were still dancing about in his head. What he wanted was some sort of coherent answer and it seemed that that would be the last thing that would learn. Kel then groaned, annoyed with all these doubts and none of the answers. He then turned to Beuce, partially wondering if he guidance or at least knew what to do. "So, what do you plan on doing after we visit our friends?"

The silence that had followed both his and Beuce's words were unsettling. All of his doubts aside, he would've thought that someone speaking to her other than her father would elicit some form of response. The truth of it all was revealed when the door was kicked open by Alexander and startling sight laid bare for them all to see. A room in tatters and a clear lack of Karina in the room. Her trashing the room was believable, even if a little extreme with how the door was locked from the inside, but what bothered him most were the claims that she had just left them. Out of all the doubts and disbeliefs that were swirling about in his head right now, the one thing that he could firmly believe in was that Karina wouldn't just abandon them like that and even with that belief it didn't explain the room, which what was heard over the radio.

"It's not your fault." Is what he said, but how much of that he meant was a different matter entirely.

The disbelief that he felt upon learning what it was that his friends had committed sat with him as the elevator reached their destination and they were now standing before the door with the golden plate. Through all that disbelief, there was a surprise that they had actually been taken to where Karina supposedly was. The general knocked and was met with silence in return. Not surprising that Karina would be unwilling to answer if she thought it was just her father at the door. Then he stepped closer to the door and knocked on it himself. "Hey Karina, it's us."

The explanation was satisfactory and did, in fact, shed some light on things surrounding their situation. It was heavily not in their favor and even less so with this whole world border act thing that was just told to them. What made matters worse was that while the summit was likely their best chance at getting their friends out for whatever charges they were apprehended for.

Then Alexander went through with the names of their friends, going over what it was that their friends had done. Each name mentioned had a different memory associated with it based on some instances in which he interacted with them. Most of the names and their charges he found to be surprised due to not know much about them, but what really struck him was when Stratos, Kaida, and Ventus There was no way that both Stratos and Kaida for charged with a form fo terrorism, especially with Kaida's being connected with No Heart. As for Ventus, that was the name of one of Master Eraqus's missing students. The fact that he was here was a surprise in its own right. "That can't be right," Kel said, still clearly in disbelief.
