Orpheus sat on a stone near the encampment they had set up for the night. It was rather difficult to ambush a squad of soldiers that never needed to rest, eat, or sleep. Their master, however, had already done so and awoken. He sat with the bound prisoners all in front of him, most of them looking at him with hatred and disdain. Sitting on the ground next to him was Cierra. She had refused to leave his side all night and day, so he simply allowed her to be near him if it pleased her so. He stroked her solid white hair as he looked at the soldiers. "Sex slave. You're really not helping that case, what with the whole at the master's side having your hair stroked with a collar and chain on. Like, seriously." "I realize they're scoundrels, but you truly are simply digging yourself into a deeper hole." "Also, would you mind putting Shakespeare over here in another prison spot? He's giving me a headache with his fancy talking." "I simply speak as a savior would. It befits one such as I." "And i thought i was into role-playing." "What do you-?" "Enough." Interrupted Orpheus. Those two were giving HIM a headache. "What exactly do you plan on doing with us, Necromancer? If you have spared our lives thus far, then you must have some intentions for keeping us alive. What say you to this?" "First, i gave you my word i would not harm you. The way behind it may not be ethical, but i have kept my word. Second, I suspected this as soon as you arrived without him, but a subordinate of mine has yet to return from the human district. I suspect he may have been captured. If he still breathes, i intend to release you in exchange for his safety." "All eight of us for just one man? How important must he be?" The savior said, obvious fairly surprised at this idea of his enemy. "Don't be presumptuous. The humans will end with the better deal, but you will not all walk free. I leave it to you, decide among yourselves three who will go free. Once you have done so, speak with one of the guards and we will depart." As the pale general finished his order to the prisoners, he rose to his feet and walked away, ordering the men and his undead to ready for departure. One in particular caught his attention. "Gawain Griffin. Come to me, and kneel." The way he general said it didn't sound as though he were angry or simply demanded respect out of him. He said it as though he were inviting him. Meanwhile, Beuce and Jedediah remained with the other prisoners. They had to choose who went free and who remained here in captivity. The white haired lustor let out a heavy sigh and leaned back against a rock, seemingly trying to get comfortable. "Well, i'm staying out of this. We all know it's not gonna be me going free. My money is on Hunter, Gwen, and Jed. Maybe swap one out for Emi." After all, why would they choose him to go free over one of their comrades? He barely knew any of these people, and the ones he did weren't exactly fond of him. Then again...Even if he did know them better, he had a feeling that he still wouldn't go free. He had never been the top gun in anyone's books. "Welp, get debating." Nickel jumped slightly at the massive bang of the rifle's shot. He didn't even need to see it hit a target, he knew it was a powerful weapon and would do a heavy amount of damage if you managed to connect the projectile to the enemy. Now that was a weapon...After a bit of explaining about the rifle, chief ordered him to go keep an eye on the prisoner he'd captured while he went and trained the people how to use these new weapons. The black bolt nodded and raced off to the jailing area. He'd been meaning to talk to this prisoner anyway. Upon arriving, he waved off the guards, indicating he'd take their place. Afterwards, he made extra sure that no one was around, and entered the room with the restrained lustor. "What the hell are you doing here?! You goddamn near blew my cover with that stunt! Do you know how hard i worked to get these people to trust me?! Then some piss pot punk with a anger boner walks in and just about wrecks it all by goin' on a killing spree. So tell me, who are you? and why're you here?" Panting. Desperate, frantic panting. That was all that could be heard aside from the shrill scrape of the chains the drug the ground. Next thing they knew, there was a crunch and a splat. Red painted the once solid grey floor nearly in its entirety. One more victim to add to the list. That list was indeed growing rather long. The servants that once served in castle Mordecai would no longer be of much service to their lord. Instead, their only remaining purpose was to deliver a message for their murderer. A crying woman, about seventeen lay back against a table, battered and beaten. She whimpered in fear of the warden, knowing her end was coming. She tried to use her powers to harden her skin and protect herself, but it was for naught. The coated figure's massive hand plunged straight through her brest and grabbed. His hand shook momentarily as he put forth a bit of effort, but it didn't last long as a sharp snap was heard. The woman's backbone had just been crushed completely in half. She let out a last word before perishing. "Why?" Pulling out his hand, it was now entirely coated red from her blood, he looked to the dead girl."Your lord crossed the wrong man. Your death won't be the last on account of it, either." The angry jailor walked forward up to the wall and began writing. He was leaving a message. A message to be discovered by whoever found this horrid scene. They were names. If your name was on this list, as far as just about anyone was concerned, you may as well just go into the next room and hang yourself to save him the trouble. "Cierra Escravo, Orpheus Graveson, Sven Arch, Gawain Griffin, The chains will find you." The was what the message read. Beneath it, he dug the broken hook Gawain had torn from the chain in their fight into the wall beneath it. If there was any doubt about who it was from, it was gone now. The warden had sent his message.

That's more or less just east side.
Finally snapping out of the daze induced by Karina's (literally) smoking ass, Beuce decided to get back into the fight. Finally, he decided to actually do something. He'd been kind of switching in and out of his master tactician and total comic relief modes. To be honest, his writer was actually running out of funny things to write. So, if one option was beginning to be a no-go, then he'd just have to stay with the other. "Alright Kel, sorry about that. Rienzel was just trying to squeeze in six hundred words. Now that he's stopped caring about that, i can be a bit more useful." Beuce sad, assuring Kel he'd begin picking up the pace in the fight. And he fully intended to back that up. Stretching out his right leg in front of him, the keyblade wielder broke out into a run at the enormous purple heartless. They had to finish this thing off. Launching off a Fira, it wasn't aimed at the behemoth. It was aimed at the books behind it. Catching the pages on fire with the spell, he then used aero, creating a small twister of burning paper. The heartless squirmed and shook its head as the ashes flew into it's eyes. This was their chance to attack. He was more or less totally out of mana, the fuel for his magic, so that was out of the question for the moment. Luckily, the keyblade he'd gotten from Merlin vastly sped up the recovery of that. He pulled his keyblade up, over his shoulder, then hurled it forward as a strike raid to damage the behemoth. It struck into the foot of the monster, causing it to rear backwards in pain. Catching the key weapon, he leaped into the air and thrust his own body forward, cloaked in a barrier of light to protect himself from the burning books which flew through the area. They were only going to last a few seconds, but a few seconds was all Beuce needed. He rammed into the heartless at full force, knocking it all the way onto its back. "You know what to do!" Leaping up, he ran along the behemoth's stomach, raking his weapon through its flesh as he ran. As he did it, he was continually gaining energy to fuel his spells. Reaching the head, he jumped high into the air and slammed the blade of his weapon down against the horn of the beast, hopefully doing a fair amount of damage in the process. Although it wasn't enough to kill it, it did severely wound the beast. It couldn't take much more punishment from the two wielders. All they had to do was keep this up and the behemoth would fall quickly to them. Rolling over back onto its feet, Beuce was thrown from the behemoth. Once again it roared and an unavoidable bolt of energy shot from the sky, striking Beuce in the stomach and causing him to get sent back. The injury had damaged him a fair bit, and he winced from the pain, but, much like the behemoth itself, he wasn't going to go down from one hit. Beuce backed off from the creature and raised his keyblade into the air. "Luminous flower, restore the flesh and mend the spirit!" He said, calling out a chant for the spell. Was it necessary? nope. Was it original and not stolen from stratos? Would you believe me if i said yes? Didn't think so. It did, however, increase the length of the post. And that was what it was all about in this battle. Do you think you'll be able to post in this any time soon?
Well, this fight was going pretty in their favor i would say. Kel was able to knock the behemoth into the air somehow. That was a pretty impressive feat. Then again, this guy had strength to rival Karina. He was just less "I dun need no stinkin other stats" about it. If they could keep up this, the thing wouldn't last long at all. Just a little bit longer. In fact, he'd say free wily cat the slamjamoth was just about halfway dead. He was about to go attack when suddenly out of nowhere, he stopped. He....He had to pee. That brought back memories. Memories of when Ananta needed to pee in came- GASP! "The peasant. At the diner....He didn't pay his check." He began having a flashback when- GASP "Nequa took the sword of honor along with Excalibur. That means that she seems to be going around collecting legendary swords. If she's collected two already, then there's no telling what others she's collected. What's worse, what she could be using them for. That makes it all the more important that we get back Excalibur from her. Although, trying to do it now would be suicide. She kicked our asses in the last fight, and from what i hear, she's got a few buddies who are just as strong as she is. What do you say we work on that mark of mastery after this?" Beuce offered to Kel. However, He was interrupted by a blast of energy to the back. A surveillance robot had shot fair bit smaller version of the massive laser he'd seen previously. The attack still hurt quite a bit, but wasn't fatal. Yet, anyways. There seemed to be two or three more converging on him. He cast aero on himself to save him from most of the damage with a protective barrier of wind, but by the time he came out of it, his clothes were in tatters. He cast cure to avert the injuries, but the damage to his wardrobe was the same. "Man...this was my favorite coat." And on that note, he hopped on board the stripper bandwagon. He ripped off his coat and shirt, leaving him in just his pants and shoes. And....uh...He ate a strawberry sundae or...something. Anyway the guy was shirtless and all the heartless were disintegrated from his sheer sexiness. Yup. That's what happened. In fact, that was how he spent his 11 of his BP. The behemoth heartless was injured before the might of his sexy. His next action was done for a few reasons. Number 1, Karina was being all depressed and suicidal-y and that was just a buzzkill on any day. Second, her sheer angry might condense into some kind of like green lantern fist and fly at them and hit their behemoth, but most of all, she be jacking his swagger and making references. At least when he did it it was in character! "Hey Kel, come here for a minute." He said, calling over the other one fighting alongside him. He aimed his keyblade at her, and launched a fireball. Flying through the air, it landed right against her backside and exploded. Quickly, he turned around and looked busy fighting. Totally inconspicious, unlike that kel over there who was still staring! God, that meant he had been staring at her ass, what a pervert! Like, who even did tha....Beuce totally gave himself away by turning around and getting distracted staring at her ass. The general sat across from his assistant. They were in a chain coffee shop you could find on any corner. Buckstars, as it was called. He never knew why they decided to name it that, but at least their products were decent. Sipping his double mocha frappuccino latte, he listened to the message which had come from the director. Honestly, he had never trusted the director much. Of course he'd never expressed this distrust. His job likely depended on it. Not that he liked it much. "Do you have to add on the title? Can't just call me Quinn?" He requested. He always had hated formalities. Yet, he was promoted time and time again until he was one rank below the director himself. He knew he excelled past his classmates...But was he really THAT skilled? He himself had never thought so. And that's when the man across the cafe let out a confused sound. Sighing, Quinn just held out his hand and curled his fingers twice. "Give it here." He said casually, as though it were nothing out of the ordinary. In all honesty, at this point it wasn't. She was always getting herself into trouble. It was his job to keep her in check, but to be honest he didn't mind it himself. It kept things from the mundane routine. Nothing ever happened in the city. Although, with this Mila person, that may change. "Send a reply to the director. Tell him I'll handle the situation personally." He'd see how dangerous she was for himself. Then he'd decide exactly how much of a need to bring her in there was.
Fairly sure that's one of those "Prophetic dreams about destiny".
Kel had done a great job at damaging the behemoth. It was a strong hit, and left a visible wound on the creature. "Good going Kel, keep up attacks like that and this thing will be steak in no time!" Although the downside to that was that the behemoth was now incredibly pissed off at the unfortunate blue haired wielder. It began charging up an energy orb similar to the one it had used earlier, only this time they were going to stop it before the fact. "Oh no you don't!" Leaping up onto the back of the enormous heartless, he tossed a strike raid which skidded up onto the horn, leaving a rather nasty wound in the back as well. It groaned at the pain, but kept charging up the energy orb. He grabbed the keyblade as it flew back on it's return path and fired off a few offensive spells at the horn. Finally, he reached melee range. Delivering one more combo to the horn was enough to throw it off and cause it to kneel over, granting easy access to its weakest point. At this point, Beuce decided to take to the ground once more. He knew from past experience that being atop the behemoth would only result in him being thrown off, something he'd like to avoid. "Now's our chance!" Gathering together some of the power which had gathered once more in his heart, he empowered his keyblade and ran forward, charging the giant purple heartless. Slash after slash, cut after cut, he unleashed a long flurry of attacks onto the beast. His wrath of the warrior limit had taken a fairly large chunk out of the creature's stamina. Once again, it stood up in a sudden and almost jerking motion. The same as before, it let out a roar and bolts of nigh unavoidable energy shot down upon them. Only this time, they had the Cheshire cat. The light around Beuce and Kel condensed into a rather large teacup which absorbed them into it and raced around the area in seemingly random directions. The good thing about this is that they avoided the attack through it. The bad thing is that they would have to gain a bearing on their new location before the enemy did, or else they run the risk of losing advantage. Beuce could feel the power of the cheshire cat waning. There was no way it would last the entire rest of the battle. In fact, if he had to guess, he'd say it would last about as long as this behemoth would. They'd both be out of the picture at the same time give or take. Regardless of if it expired a minute from now or years later, he needed to get back into focus. The behemoth seemed to have caught back onto his location, and didn't exactly plan on leaving him alone. A massive hoof struck Beuce in the chest and sent him flying back. Full deck didn't activate and save him that time, and he took the full brunt of the attack. Coughing and gasping to regain the air in his lungs, he looked over next to where he had landed and found he was next to Kel. "I'm gonna pay it back for that. I'm sure you've taken plenty of hits to do the same. What do you say we team rush him huh?" Rising back to his feet, he re-summoned his keyblade. "Guard while the other attacks, switch out, repeat. Just like in Camelot." He said with a smirk, referencing back to their fight with Gilgamesh where their team had exceptional teamwork which ended up leading to their victory. He and Kel in particular worked together well in a melee battle. If the two of them just worked together and attacked in tandem, the behemoth and any other heartless they encountered would prove no match for them. "Let's do this." (Social link go!) There it was. He had thrown one of his weapons, and left himself with only one. The opening was brief, and would only last for a second, but it was indeed an opening. Using the skintight darkness on his body to move himself at a much faster than normal rate, he flew at Gexln. The dark claws on his hands were poised to strike. Using his superior speed, he would strike, then be in another place altogether, and strike once more. Finally, it seemed as though he were going for a full frontal assault, when he vanished. The sound of a crackling fire could be heard behind Gexln's head as a dark firaga was held up to it. "Can you not salvage victory, even knowing what will happen?" OOC: don't have time to post more than this at the moment. Will post the rest later.
Due to the effects of the "i'm late" effect of mad world, Beuce sat there for a moment, frozen in time. Beuce finally unfroze from the stopping effect, finding that he had been hit at least twice by book masters. He winced at the damage dealt to him. The effects of mad world could potentially either turn the tides of a fight in your favor rather efficiently, or doom you to certain defeated. So far, it seemed to be fairly even with Beuce. The two book masters which had attacked him wouldn't live to regret doing so. He charged forward, deflecting a few fireballs with his keyblade, then cast gravity just a moment before reaching it. While it was floating up in the air, it was a perfect target for an assault. His keyblade began cloaking itself in an icy mist, He bent his knees, and struck down on the helpless scholarly heartless which floated in the air. It spun back, taking great damage, yet it was far from over. Leaving an icy afterimage from where he stood on the ground, he seemingly teleported back into the air behind it and slashed down again. For the third time, he appeared above the heartless and delivered the third strike of the aerial ice technique. Vanishing into a puff of black smoke, the book master was defeated. However, he couldn't just keep fighting on his own. His ally seemed to need help. Dear lord man, The behemoth jumped over the ice on the floor like some kind of free willy cat! My god...Kel needed to be saved from this horrible monstrosity, the behemoth was about to land on him and crush him like Karina crushed Kross' hp (shots fired). However, he was in luck. Beuce was in his area. Using Zantetsuken,Beuce vanished from all sight due to the immeasurably fast speed at which he was moving. He stopped directly in front of Kel, cherry blossoms flowing in the wind around him as he appeared, and it seemed as though he would push him out of the way, but instead he simply stood there and raised his hand above him. The shadow of the behemoth lumbered over them, at this rate they'd both be crushed. Yet still, he just stood there. Around him gathered a dense black and red aura, collecting into what was almost an armor rolling off of him into the shapes of hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades. The massive hoof plowed down onto the two wielders, but it was stopped. Stopped in its tracks by nothing but his bare hand. Pushing up, he shoved the massive heartless back. It stumbled, looking confused that a keyblade wielder was able to block the entirety of its weight with nothing but a single hand. "Come on Kel, Let's get him back for trying that." He said, motioning for Kel to join him in an all out assault on the monster. Beginning the attack, he sprinted forward. The echo of his boots rang out from the impact with the marble. The various magical based heartless fired spell after spell at him, yet he shrugged all of them off as though they weren't even there. The incredibly powerful defense this aura gave him was awe inspiring indeed. He leaped into the air as light condensed around him, forming a protective shield of hexagons. With a massive blow, he slammed his fist into the creature's face. It stumbled back, roaring in pain from the attack. Landing back on the ground, he looked at Kel, waiting for him to make his move against the behemoth. total exp: 213 Spoiler: North Side Behemoths: 10/10 (injured 234/300) Red Nocturn: 25/25 Blue Rhapsody: 18/25 Yellow Opera: 14/25 Green Requiem: 20/25 Shadow: 3/60 Soldier: 18/30 Large body: 15/20 Trick ghost: 30/30 Book master: 12/15 Surveilance robots: 35/35
Beuce, being the one who summoned the cat in the first place, was the being most afflicted by the effects of the mad world. The purplish light gathered around Beuce. It seemed that the satanic cat was making its base of operations Beuce's body. This wasn't a pleasant experience, but it would certainly step up his game in the fight. The "possession" (or possibly, it was just the effects of the mad world itself, and the cheshire cat wasn't actually taking control of his body at all. Who was to say?) His ordinarily green eyes took on a pink and purple hue, and lines of a similar color spread all throughout his body. The light of the mad world seemed thicker around him, as though he were its source. With the cat possessing him for the moment, he may as well have been. He grinned with the face of a completely and utterly sane man. Two heartless of a variety which had yet to enter the battle attacked him. They seemed almost like scholar themed heartless, with hats, robes, and a massive book which was likely their main form of attack.Unfortunately for them, the power of literature wouldn't save them from the foe that they were about to engage in combat. One of them launched a series of fireballs at Beuce in three bursts, the first containing a single spell, the second two, and the third one a trio of fireballs, while the other came in close and attempted to strike him with the book and send him flying closer to the behemoth. The one which got close didn't know what was coming for it. Slamming the book onto the ground, it tried to damage its opponent, but the next thing it knew, Beuce jumped overtop of the attack and landed on the book. A boot struck it in the face and it was kicked back into the other bookmaster, with its only weapon pinned to the ground by Beuce's foot. He kicked it into the air to intercept the rapidly advancing fireballs which the first bookmaster launched at him. After accomplishing its job, the book floated back to its owner. Those two were wary of advancing on this man recklessly, but before they knew it, he charged at them. The symbol of a rabbit and a pocket watch briefly flared up in the light around him, with the hands moving incredibly fast. When he hit the heartless' location, the fight began. And as the fight began, it was over just like that. He leaped into the air, weapon coated in a dark poisonous miasma, once again using poison edge as he had with the large body earlier in the fight, and struck down at the heartless, slaying it on the spot. Then, he ran the weapon through the second heartless which didn't have time to react, stabbing his spellbinder keyblade into its chest. If you hadn't been watching closely, you'd have sworn these attacks were entirely simultaneous. The two pink hearts floated into the air, signifying that two enemies had been slain. The power the mad world could grant...Few would be able to really stand against it, but as it could grant power, it could take it away. The same rabbit and pocket watch symbol appeared in the light once again, only this time the hands were moving incredibly slow. The first time it happened, He had been able to move incredibly fast. This time, he stood completely still, as though he were a statue. Even while he was in this state, the mad world's effects were still taking place. A large axe with the tip in the shape of a club materialized above the behemoth and struck down on the horn. words:616 Exp this post: 30 total: 183 Spoiler: north side Behemoths: 10/10 (injured 245/300) Red Nocturn: 25/25 Blue Rhapsody: 18/25 Yellow Opera: 25/25 Green Requiem: 20/25 Shadow: 6/60 Soldier: 18/30 Large body: 16/20 Trick ghost: 30/30 Book master: 13/15 Surveilance robots: 35/35
Anyone who wants to add more length to their posts can have the Cheshire cat doing things in their battle. I made it cover all four entrances for that reason.
It was good that Anora had managed to take out a few of the magic heartless. They were making a pretty serious dent in their forces. At this rate, the behemoths would be all that was left. He intended to make that happen. Speaking of the behemoth, that energy orb attack it had been charging up seemed to have come to its finish. Raising its head, it threw the orb up into the air, which broken into various smaller versions of it and spread out over the area. They weren't too fast, so with a roll to the side, he managed to avoid the energy attack. Looking around, the shadows were a fraction of what they were to begin with. Maybe he should bump up their casualty rate just a bit. If the majority of the heartless were the weaker variety, then he may as well do what he could to finish them off. Beuce took a deep breath, looking around at all the various heartless. He closed his eyes and concentrated. When he opened them, it was as though the weakest points on each heartless were painted with a bull's eye. He raced through. The shadows may as well have been standing still for all the good trying to dodge did them. One right after another, they fell, slain by Beuce's Keyblade. He had used a skill he recalled as being named Magnify. It exposed the weaknesses and made his skills severely more powerful. The sounds of heartless vanishing were severely raising in frequency. By the time he got to the other side of the north end, only seven shadows remained. Beuce made a "tch" sound with his tongue. He hadn't gotten all of them. Maybe....He needed some help. "Welcome to the mad house folks! We'll see how our luck favors today, shall we?!" Beuce yelled out as a purple light emitted from the tip of his keyblade. It spread over the area, until finally it began to dim out and fade. "I couldn't agree more. We're all mad here. But which of us is the maddest? Why, Me of course." From seemingly nowhere, a familiar voice called out. Followed by it was the appearance of a cat's head, then a purple and pink striped body standing on top of it. It was one of the oddest sights many would ever see, but Beuce was used to it by this point. This cat...It could be either a great help, or completely dick all of us over. It stood up and placed its head atop its neck. "Alright, no skimping out here. We need everything we can get from you." Beuce commanded. His voice was serious. He began to glow with a golden light, offering up the power his heart had collected over the course of the fight. "Oh? Well well, you're a chancy one. Heads will roll for sure, and the fight will be done. But will it be yours in end?" The cat taunted coyly. It held outs its paw, and Beuce in turn held out his arm. The claws of the Cheshire Cat raked along his forearm, causing blood to drip. The golden light from his body all collected in his arm, running down it as the cat's paw traced his arm with his claws. The power transferred over from Beuce into the mischievous cat (possibly of demonic origins, i dunno). It gave an enormous grin and faded out, until only the eyes and mouth were left visible. "The deal is sealed. No turning back now." The face and mouth too faded out into invisibility. The entire library, all four areas, dimmed into a dark purple light. "Sit tight.
