Zephyr remained ever vigilant as they ventured deeper into the swamp. The spider webs around them were a sign that something could lash out at them at any given moment. Even stepping on the narrow pathway didn't help either, only grouped them up to make them an easier target in theory. His magic wouldn't be able to do much this this current situation unless they were given more space to move about. Then they had arrived at the tree, found Selena and all ruined by the mayor stepping out with Maliel as his hostage. It was cause of his self control that he didn't use his magic to form a weapon to attack them. That would be a poor decision right now and would result in lives lost the moment when the Mayor had made his demands. He was clearly taking advantage of his position he had over them. When Thea had stepped forward, he spied the single light finger she made behind her back which further held back his gut instincts. He would trust Thea, she was a member of their guild after all and in the end wanted the same thing they did.
One villain had been successfully detained and the other had removed himself from the equation in quite the amusing fashion to be honest. Moments like that were when he doubted one capabilities as a villain. The commotion outside had caught his attention as well as distracted his thoughts as he ran outside himself. His brain processed the sight of the it and more importantly, what was this guys obsession with bowler hats to begin with? One of the legs came crushing down and Chrono used that as his chance to attack with Vicinity Break as well as deal in a few extra hits of his own. HP: 85/85 AP: 26/46 MP: 30/30
Smith was doing a poor job at trying to convince him that these so called Indians were a bad thing. Maybe it was because he has yet to see a single Indian and had no means to judge them or the fact that Indians did not sound like a threatening name when compared to indians. Either way his concerns were slowly turning into curiosity as he wanted to see them for himself to properly give a verdict on how they were.
Kel merely nodded to Ailsinn's reasoning. As he had considered, it could easily be the fact that they weren't in their territory and thus had no reason to attack. All it would take would be one misplaced step and then they could find themselves under siege. They likely already had an advantage just by knowing the land better than they did. "Indians?" Confusion aside, the mental image that he had thought of for the savages had been completely removed by what Smith had told them. Was it really wrong for them to live like that? Kel found himself asking that while keeping a lookout for any changes.

I'd like to request the White Skull, TWO?! and The Promise Pins if you would be so kind.
The moment Chrono had stepped outside of the cave he took himself a seat. After everything that happened you would think he'd be happy to finally have all of his memories back, yet in reality he wasn't happy nor sad about it. He wasn't sure how to feel really. There were no more questions on what he did or didn't do nor any holes to spawn said questions. All he could do was sigh, sigh while gazing off into the distance. "Now what am I supposed to do?"
Maybe they weren't as John and Ratcliffe said, Luna had a point with that. Maybe it was just the fact that Ratcliffe had compared them to said savages shortly after they had arrived or how he just didn't like him. Either way he didn't rule out the possibility of something being different about these savages. "Well they're not as aggressive as I thought they would be upon hearing the name. Maybe we just haven't gotten into their territory yet for them to act." As long as they weren't in their territory they had no reason to act which made sense on paper.
Kel had nodded in agreement to both what Luna had proclaimed and what Aislinn had added on, all in one nod in fact. Camping did sound like fun and all and he would love to try it out. "Speaking about those...'savages', what do you guys think they're like." Taking away how weird it felt to call them that, especially with his mental image he added on. On top of that they looked similar to them as they were accused of being savages when they first got here.
Kel looked around at the woods that surrounded them, they were certainly in the right place to do so should they decide to. Depending on who or rather what these 'savages' were it might pose a threat. "I don't see no reason why not." There was a brief silence in which Luna spoke with Aislinn. Kel remained idle and just watched the surroundings around them. They were supposed to be still on the look out for any 'savages' anyway.
Kel listened along to Luna's story, nodding along due to somewhat understanding where she was coming from. As nice as all that sounded, it wasn't something that he could really see himself doing. Back home the nearest woods had a more 'interesting' set of residents alongside its usual group which made things dangerous. Some of the more threatening ones were the reason that they had a wall up in the first place. It made for an effective deterrent for them to have to deal with. Of course, silently listening wouldn't answer her question. "Sounds like a cool experience, wish I could do that myself."
Kel may not have had any idea who this Thomas person was, but he didn't appreciate someone who looked like that saw that he was weaker than someone. His other remark didn't fly well with Luna and presumably Aislinn either. Slowly Kel was starting to feel glad that he wasn't from this 'England' place. If the people there were anything like Ratcliffe then it was something he could live without. "You really do like nature Luna." An idle comment for sure, but it would help pass the time unless something happened.
The splinting up didn't faze him as much as the Noire had gone along with the others. Certainly an unintentional advantage that they would have should she assist them with the trials. Then again, she wasn't quite the most friendly person or cooperative with them. Somehow the idea of her getting past the trial with easy and just waiting didn't surprise him. Lazuli kept one of his hands resting near his weapons as they walked as a precaution. It turned out to be the right move when they heard the rustling, he stopped slightly and moved his sword slightly from its hilt. Should it be a small animal then this would be an over reaction, should it be a grimm and this might not even be enough. He said nothing and remained on guard for what might happen next. The Grimm shaped masked had immediately caught the attention of Vice. A cheap way of trying to look intimidating. They certainly weren't going to go back so a fight was likely to occur now, which was perfectly fine by him. A good fight could prove to be helpful right now. Vice couldn't help but to scoff at what Arian said, doubting his capabilities to actually kill one of his own then drew out his contained weapon before turning it into its hammer form.
