Kel shrugged off the comparison to him and Radcliff. Adventure was just never really a high priority to him when compared to other things. Either way John was clearly enjoying himself as he'd gone out of his way to hop onto a rock and pose in the wind. Kel actually chucked at the sight right as the wind had picked up. Maybe Luna had a point, there was a seemingly relaxed air among them despite John still holding his gun. "I'm starting to see what you mean there Luna."

Kel too was able to understand the adventure reason behind John Smith being here. It was a pretty easy reason to understand and much better when compared the other ones he listed. "I can get that, well kinda, there's never been much of a desire for adventure for me. Its a nice change of pace though." After all there's been numerous things that he's both seen and done while on this adventure that he probably never would've done before. In that regard he was certainly grateful for all this.
Lets go 4 points into AP and learning Judgement
"Pretty much what she said, we just decided to go for a boat ride and ended up running into you." Kel added. It sounded believable enough given the circumstances. "What about you? These so called "savages" Kel provided his own air quotes for this one. "can't be the sole reason in which your here." By this point Kel had moved his hands into his pocket, giving off a slightly relaxed air while they continued with their plan.
Aislinn did have a point and to be honest he was having doubts about them the moment John Smith had given that very unconvincing description on what a 'savage' was. From what he could tell they had done nothing to warrant being called that. "I'm not opposed to the idea of leading them away, but" He paused to look at another tree, inspecting its entirety before looking back to Aislinn as he'd found nothing on the tree. "what if he decides not to follow us, they, well Ratchilffe, already doubts us. I don't know, its not like we can just scare him away."
Kel continued to further examine the symbol, trying to see any connection as to what it could be. The others had made their own guesses, which made sense as well. "Well we got time I think." The sun wasn't exactly setting and the sky didn't look red so they had to have some form of time before nightfall. "Let's see if we can find anymore around here." Kel walked away from the first tree and went to the tree right next to it. He found...nothing. This wasn't going to be easy.
"Could be, looks like a rune to me as well." Kel added. That connection was odd to him given that back on his world runes for magic and well, he didn't think that anyone on this world could use magic besides them. Interesting. "This could be their hunting grounds, would explain the deer." A little concerning if it turned out that they did walk right into someone else hunting grounds. Though he was curious as to what the others thought.
Nothing out of the ordinary had occurred as they continued walking. No more animal sightings, alive or hunted, no hunter of said animal. Nothing at all. Which on the one hand was a relief, something like that could be problematic long as John Smith was around with his weapon. They had walked past a tree that had a marking which stuck out to Kel. "Hey, look at this." Kel approached the marking on the tree and the closer look reminded him of similar things back home.
Kel glanced around before returning his attention back to Luna. He hadn't heard anything rustling near them so nothing had gotten there yet, but they couldn't stick around long if someone was on the way. He tried to think of some way to compromise seeing that Luna was in the process of digging a hole to bury the deer. It wasn't needed though as Luna herself had stopped digging and walk on ahead. "Wait up." Kel picked up his pace to be walking along side her. "Not a good idea to be going off on by yourself right now."
His first attack had successfully wounded the hound that was later finished off by someone else. Arthur wasn't sure how to feel about assisting someone else in a kill he'd meant to do in himself, but seeing as there were plenty of other targets around he didn't think much on it. Instead he aimed towards another hound and fired a shot off at it. The bullet hit its mark and the hound collapse onto he ground. Spoiler: Za Rollz Attack Roll on Houndo 3: 1d20 +5 = 13 Damage Roll 1d6 = 3 Rip Hound 3
Based on that little back and forth that Daeni and Cerdic were having, he could easily see him believing that they were in fact siblings had he been told that before his memories had returned."Probably not." 'Aveum' was too deeply rooted to everything that had just transpired here and he'd rather not have his name be a constant reminder of that. Not that 'Chrono' was all that much was all that better. Comparing the two though, 'Chrono' was the more tolerable name. "Wait, how does 'Chrono' fit me better?"
This time he was not as fortunate to somehow dodge the attack meant for him and took the full brute of the attack aimed at him. He was knocked back, still standing, but a little winded. By comparison there was no room for him to be complaining, Take had taken two heavy hits and was still standing. "Hang in there, we've almost finished it." They weren't the only ones taking heavy hits. That hat had certainly taken its fair share of damage as well and. Chrono allowed some magic flow into his keyblade, coating the blade in water before he went off to attack the giant hat once again. HP: 55/85 AP: 26/46 MP: 5 /30 DP: 3/3 Damage Done: 20 + 6 (Water) + 10 (Inspiring Rage) = 36 AP Water casted on himself
He had actually named the giant bowler hat he was currently attacking them in. Chrono found that to be very odd and borderline disturbing. Well not as odd as the strange phenomena happening that allowed him to dodge the attack meant for him. It would be a bit helpful if this occurred more or at the very least he had some idea as to what was going on. However being a question for another time, those thoughts were pushed to the back of Chrono's mind while he went back to focusing on the battle. His keyblade glowed as a barrage of magic flew towards the hat. It was his first time using Ruin and he assumed he was using it right. Said tactic worked for every other spell he's used so far. Chrono followed this up by attack again with his keyblade. HP: 85/85 AP: 16/46 MP: 15/30 DP: 3/3 Cast Ruin - 18 Damage Attacked - 30 Damage Total - 48 Damage
And I even said after seeing the release date "Now I got plenty of to pay off my pre order and upgrade it to the deluxe edition." time to stay true to my word.
At the point in which all that running would have taken a toll on him, Arthur had heard the sounds of dogs snarling and barking. Up ahead there was another Dottari was there with a ground of dogs that were making way attacking some random man. Well that certainly wouldn't do. Others had already gone ahead to attack, one he'd recognized from a few brief spotting in the earlier crowd. Arthur stopped after moving close enough in which the houndo was in range. Arm outstretched, he aimed and pulled the trigger, firing off a bullet that did wound the animal, but not enough to finish it. Attack Roll on Houndo 4: 1d20 +5 = 22 Damage Roll 1d6 = 4
When Kel had arrived, he was relieved to see the lack of a bear looming over Luna and even more so that she was still conscious. Seeing her holding a dead deer was a surprise. He walked up to the two girls and said, "Aislinn is right, we can't do anything for it now." ,before looking over the deer. The deer had been hunted, which wasn't something that they could do about it. Not only did the Indians apparently have wolf like instincts, but they knew how to hunt. That was something that did worry Kel. As it stood there was no reason for the Indians to not see them as hostiles and fortunately the same was true for them being seen as hostile. They needed to keep things like that, especially with John Smith following them.
Kel ducked under a low hanging branch right as Luna had run off ahead. While they may have been doubting the actually threat behind the Indians, or savages that John had grown accustomed with calling them, there had to have been some other form of wildlife here that they hasn't seen yet. He could hear the occasional bird chirping and catch a glimpse of one flying overhead. Silence had settled after Luna's advance, which left some uncertainty behind, then came the scream. A distinguished scream that only could have attributed to Luna. The first thought that ran through his mind wasn't exactly a pleasant one and was the reason why he was concerned about her going off on her own int he first place. Kel was quick to head off in the direction of the scream, hopefully arriving before something actually did happen.
Was hoping for a 2018 release in general, but all this considered that's not too bad
Chrono hadn't been expecting Daeni of all people to be the first to speak with him, though Alder had run off to dispose of the core so he was out of the running. Either way she had spoken to him and he might as well give a response. "I've been better, least I assume I've been." Which was all he said, again odd feeling like this after getting back all of his memories but there was nothing that he could really do about it at this point. Mora had thanked them right as Chrono had moved to get back on his feet. "It was the least that we could do." Might've sounded a bit more on the heroic side of things all things considering, but it was the truth. Even if the reason behind it had been killing Ria and getting his memories back for the most of it.
