Duuuuude, I could really need some pointers if you have the time, one of my old mates from school wanted me to draw him a dragon that covers from his chest/shoulder, goes in the back and ends somewhere there on the other shoulder. And I am clueless over how I am suppose to get started or what I should keep in mind body wise. RIGHT: I agree with Cin and Jiku Neon, the concept sketch turned out to be the better out of the two. May I ask why you blurred so much in the final version? It became too much. Nice sense of head skull propotions, you obviously have a fair idea how the actual anatomy works. I also like it that you didn't just make a mirrored version of the first skull, that there are tiny differences for both of them. :3 The rose looks rather sharp/stiff petal wise, but it would work well for a tattoo motive. .. You drew this on MSPaint? Or did you scan in black/white? *curious*

For the first one, the shadow does look rather funky - it may be that it doesn't look like it's following the law of perspective like the street ground does. I would have tried stretching the shadow horizontally a couple of times, and softening those edges so that it becomes less viewable the longer away from the source (Vincent) it is. It all depends on the source of light/time of day. I also noticed that when you made the shadow's source start right on the toe it looks like he's standing on his toe rather than having that foot landing you know? May just be me. You should try to add some reflecting colour on his armour to make it look more realistic, it doesn't take much to make the difference you need. Since the city looks like it has a warm tone to it's building during this time of day, try adding some of the one you like and see how that goes. Maybe a liiiitle bit on his cape too, you have to admit that the guy stands out a little bit compared to his surroundings right? It's looking really nice otherwise though. If you decide to work more on it, concider the shadow and reflections caused by surroundings on the character eh?

Corel Painter = why I colour in digital style. SERIOUSLY. If you are used to traditional tools you'd use in real life such as pencils, choal, paint, that whole package, then this program would be the perfect thing for you. I mean, it truely does behave a lot like those tools in question - when you use digital watercolour you have to click on an option to make the paint dry.. XD *most used tool on my part btw lol* And concidering that you love to draw manga, a lot of the pros usually work in marker style when adding colour to their art, so using Painter would be an advantage if you want to go for a look like if it had been done on paper. I recommend it above all. <3 lol. Hope you have fun playing around with the trial.
Actually my fav one was the first.. It's got a nice retro feel to it, rather powerful effect even when being so simple. Hawt. <3 The second - I honestly do not like the light source you choose to add, it's too, what is the word for it? Too simple-photoshop-tool-ish, you know? Like it has no special effort behind it other than placement. I suck hard at giving a helpful opinion regarding graphic works tho, mweh. Perhaps you should "remove" parts of that sun thing - like when it is with that pillar/building in the background, I asume that this placement should really have the left part of the sun be hidden behind it, meaning it should make that part of the light break or at least make the sun have less light than it would have when there is nothing in the way. The blood splatter I like - the blood from Sylar's mouth, was it intended to keep it the same as the splatter one? Maybe for that part a realistic looking blood would look better? I commend you for experimenting with styles. /phailcrit out/

I really do like this one. :3 Usually I've never been that much of a fan when the character in question is being transparent-ish, but for this it works well imo. The orange lines steals too much attention from Zack though, you may want to keep that in mind. *I noticed one of them right under his nose too - bad place to place that one* I am unsure about the text, it's kinda in a 50:50 - were you intending for a solid looking font since it is a millitary motive? A rather good signature, just be more careful with those shot lines in bright orange when everything else is in a calmer tone of yellow/ocher. :>
