There were others inside of the warehouse, but none of them looked like they had any intent to fight. Chrono flew down towards the entrance to cut off any escape they might try to take. A part of him wanted to laugh at Take 'embracing' the whole hero thin, evident by the chuckle that found its way out, but he also held back groaning. The downside of seeing all this after growing out of the phase in which he would take part in this. He only saw two of them and their shouts form earlier had mentioned a third. "Where's this Bowler Hat Guy you were talking about earlier?" Chrono had gotten off his glider by this point and reverted it to its usual keyblade shape and held it outstretched towards Xerek and Kronk by extension.
When they had arrived Kel hadn't expected to hear anyone's voice anytime soon, so the fact that he had heard two distinct voices was a surprise. They'd mentioned something about savages and then they were asked if they were the apparent savage in question. Apparently these savages look more human like and not quite what the first thing that popped into Kel's head. "I'm Kel and as you can see, we do speak English."
Vallus wasn't sure as to why, but there was a faint alarm sound in the back of is mind when Aeira had mentioned his inability to fly. It was a given that he couldn't fly, so she was just stating the obvious so why would there be something off about that. The answer had made itself clear once Aeira grabbed on to his arm and launched him into the air. Uttering the words "What the hell!" As he went flying through the air, reaching the apex of his unwilling ascent, it was easier to spot the tallest building and its general direction. Despite how much of a plus that was, he didn't appreciate being tossed in the air like this. The descend down wasn't as hazardous as it was for a certain red haired elsword character thanks to his time ability. A few consecutive uses of this and he was safety on the ground. "Never do that again." He said, then pointing off towards the direction of the building. "Its that way however."
A straightforward plan like that wasn't too surprising to hear. Chrono had called for his own glider having watched Torrin do so himself. "Good luck to you too." He watched as the other group had headed towards towards the streets, then took a seat on his glider. He thought it'd be best to get use to being on it, even if they weren't going anywhere right this second. He had sat there for a little bit, swinging his legs too and fro idlely just as he'd heard Boreas's shouts. "Looks like they've started." Chrono then glanced over towards the hat wearing heroes, waiting to see how they would respond.
There a brief feeling of accomplishment when Zephyr's attack had struck the spider head on. The mage remained ready though in the event the spider was able to counter attack. The flames from his magic had returned to his arm, coating his forearm in flames. From the corner of his eye he spotted the trail of flames that had spawned from Thea and igniting the beast in even more fiyah flames. It ends was dealt by a swift magic spike through it head by Izra. All this considered that was well. To which he gave Izra a thumbs up to her question, "I'm ready." All that was left for them now was the actual demon behind all of this and it would be brought down by their hands.
With the majority of the others agreeing to the current plan, Chrono couldn't really do much about it besides go along with it as well. Least the plan in itself wasn't a bad one, there was still risk with what they were doing. "What's the plan for when we actually get in warehouse then?" Chrono had shot a look towards Torrin when he'd asked. Looking around and being wary of anything that might be waiting for them was a give, but if it was just filled with more crates we they supposed break those as well? Chrono doubted that and continued trying to figure out what could be inside the warehouse.
Happy Birthday
While not completely ditching the idea of gender not being a requirement, hearing that in was did narrow things down a bit. The rest of what Boreas had said did make sense. The Light Chaser had taken a lot of by sending Tinarah to another realm if she was the second pure light. As for Iliiana, she didn't really have the attitude of one from what he's seen as well as his one interaction with him, but she was the last one on this current hypothesis. "That will just leave Illiana, which still seems odd to me." The conversation would have to be continued another time, hopefully with more information, as Torrin had spotted a warehouse up ahead. All of the missing heroes were there with those same bowler hats stop their heads. "Being taken by surprise or being outnumbered is nothing new to heroes, so I don't think it'll be quite that easy." Baiting one of them out was a better plan in comparison. "How would we go about luring them out. I don't think calling for help is gonna instantly get their attention."
With the tendrils that were restraining had vanished, Chrono had felt the relief as well as the freedom to be able to use his limbs. "I'm...fine?" Chrono had said, noticeably confused about why Daeni had made it a point to help him when he most certainly wasn't one who needed help. That honor went to Cerdic, who she did go to assist. Some satisfaction was felt watching the dark creature shrink as it lost its darkness, but the lingering disdain remained when the darkness took a form similar to his. He didn't want to be reminded that all this was connected to him. Chrono had laid eyes on the portal right as his memories had returned. There was no pain this time around, in fact the missing memories had just fit into place like a puzzle. It had put some things into perspective and answered some of the questions that still lingered about in the former haze that was his head, but overall it didn't make him feel any better. Any room for doubt was gone. "Just get it over with." Chrono was quick to turn away from the portal and walk towards the cave entrance. Now having all his memories had left him no desire to stick around here. He wanted to be away from it all, especially while some desires still lingered about within.
"I think it was two days ago." Take had informed him about this yesterday, so the day before sounded like a reasonable assumption. Chrono held back a chuckle considering that he had considered eavesdropping in the event he spotted Thallssa and Torrin having a conversation away from everyone. He looked down to make sure that his footing had changed at all while speaking to Boreas, then looked back at him with one finger held up. "I haven't heard anything for certain, but I do have some guesses. If we use Aria as a base, then the other pure light could be either Illiana or Tinarah." Needless to say he didn't want it to end up being his sister. Raising another finger, Chrono continued. "Though if we removed gender being a requirement, then in addition to those two, myself, Take and Glyde are possible choices." Which also had its fair share of concerns if any of those three ended up being the second pure light.
His first look was towards the groups that had been paired up while his next one was at the list of trials that had been present before them as well. They were simple enough at a glance, but it wouldn't be much of a trial if they were as simple as they seemed. "Alright." His lack of a preference for which trial they did first was evident as he merely followed behind Aeira as she wished to climb a building. From what he could see, there were a multitude of tall building all over. "Any ideas on trying to find this building that aren't simply looking up at the sky?"
Chrono had been surprised to see that Boreas of all people had flown back to interact with him. Nothing against the guy, he seemed alright from the one prior interaction they have had, but he had assumed he'd stay in the front alongside Torrin. His question was a fair one, one he was hoping he wouldn't have to answer until he had either more information or a concrete answer. That was not the case. Denying anything was out of the question, especially after what he'd said to Torrin. Weighing his options and pondering the different ways this could go, Chrono sighed having picked a course of action. "I was hoping to avoid this until I had some more information, but I guess it can't be helped. He'd overheard them talking about the possibility of another pure light being in our group." A condensed very sure, but more questions were sure to follow. Just mentioning the fact that they could be another pure light would've sparked questions in itself.
Being restrained by the dark creature was everything but ideal for Chrono. In this state there was nothing else that he could do beside attempt to break free from said restraints. Said attempts were feeble at best, but it was all that he could do. "Just focus on the extractor right now." Cerdic and himself could no nothing from their position, nothing to help defend the extractor or repel the monster. Finishing them could be easily done if it really wanted to. The extractor was its prime focus which meant that they were not a priority for the time being.
When the doors had first broken open, Arthur wasn't immediately concerned with what would come through those door. It would likely be yet another person here to deal with the rabble outside. His actions soon stopped as well upon laying eyes on the hell hounds that had appeared alongside the red haired eagle woman. His confidence took a quick backseat to his self preservation, followed by his feet running off in the south-west direction when things literally lit up.
Clearly the sun must've gotten in his eyes and that was why his first shot hadn't done as much as he would've liked. That is why Arthur fired a shot once again and the now lone nearby thug. Attack Roll: 1d20 +5 = 23 Damage Roll 1d6 = 5
Torrin's answer was a fair one, as in there wasn't much else that he could say to question that. There wasn't anything wrong with Torrin talking to her, nor any reason to be against it. He was just curious and not his skepticism fueled curiosity that lead to most of his prior questions. From there Chrono had stayed on his glider at they approached the building and whatever figure was up there. One scream as the fog started to clear and they found themselves looking at a duck. A masked duck at that. Odd, but Chrono assumed that it was because of the whole 'experiment gone wrong' route some hero stories tend to take. "I wouldn't call us fan." Despite Boreas accepting the offer of having his caped signed. Why the cape, heck why any part of their costume? Whatever. "Where were you yesterday anyway, it was kinda hard to miss everything that had happened?"
The instructions were simple enough, but the kicker was learning that Qrow wouldn't be joining them for this expedition. Lazuli took a moment to try and think of what could cause one of the more experienced huntsmen that they had to leave. Perhaps something urgent? If so, would be it something for them to deal with later on down the road. It certainly was possible. Lazuli had settled on that thought for the time being however. Trailing further on this thought track would lead worry and being over cautious. Not that there was anything wrong with being just cautious. At the fork in the road, Blaine had elected that their team take the right path. "Lead on then." He said fairly casually in fact.
The rumor tactic had failed much like he had expected it too, but the concern that Arthur had lied with how things had progressed within the crowd themselves. Right as he had taken a step back away from the group he was eavesdropping on, objects were being thrown, voices raised and not too long afterwards a whole fight had broken out. Admist all of the chaos, Arthur had turned his attention towards one of the nearby thugs and fire a quick shot at him with his pistol Arthur attacked a Thug with his pistol. Dealt 2 damage
Chrono had fortunately been able to keep his balance while listening to Torrin's tale thanks in part to the advice he had been given by Boreas. As for the tale, Chrono was silent as he processed everything. He already knew before that the Light Chaser was strong. In order to do half the things he'd apparently done, you would have to be. To singlehandedly take out a Master and all of their students. It certainly put into perspective the concerns that the council had regarding him. "Protect the light, is that why you've been hanging around Aria lately?" Chrono noticed that, but had no reason to think much of it at the time. "You could've told us if that was the case."
Zephyr had internally groaned after the spider had regenerated its severed limb. Long as they main body didn't regenerate as well, though the battle was still going to be hard. Zephyr found himself standing in the middle of webbing that had missed him, but landed on the ground. With his mobility cut off for the moment, he was quick to form a shield in place of his short sword to block the poison that had gone at him. The poison slid off of his shield and down onto the ground, killing some of the grass at his feet. "Memory Make Wyvern’s Flare!" His arm outstretched and a small flaming wyvern flew around it, coating his armored forearm in flames, meaning that when Zephyr had thrown a punch in the direction of the spider, all of that flames were sent flying off in the direction of it in the form of a much larger wyvern.
