Listening in for rumors was not the easier of things to with the people that were shouting. Admittedly it probably wasn't the best of ideas to do so on the outer rim of the crowd, but it was too late to go back on that plan now that he was already here. Any form of information was what Arthur was looking for, specifically anything that he could use to possible turn a profit from or at the very least something that could aid him in his own endeavors.
After wincing at Finlay's much louder than needed introduction, Vallus went back to looking around their new surroundings. It was an interesting change of pace when compared to the broad darkness that had surrounded them for the longest time. He shot a glance towards the named that had been listed on the leader board. Even numbers, probably some form of groups then. The even numbers really only made the groups easier to form for whoever was sorting them.
Zephyr had been the next to act, donning on a matching red mask while flanking the giant spider. It was preoccupied with dealing with Izra which gave him the perfect chance to re position himself. Now standing at the side of the of the beast, Zephyr quickly formed up a shortsword and slashed at the nearest leg. Just as quickly as he had struck, he had already backed away and started moving. This way he could avoid the vemon. It wouldn't work against the webbing though, which is why he remained on guard for any signs of them being shot out.
Speechless, Kel was left speechless as once more the feeling hopelessness had washed over Kel as Hikaru sacrificed himself. The whole while he couldn't do anything stop it and the frustration showed with the way his griped his keyblade. He wouldn't let it overcome him this time, he swore to himself to never allow that to happen. Such an act would be an insult to Hikaru's sacrifice. As his keyblade was still alight from his limit as No Heart approached them. He wasn't able to stop Hikaru, but he will sure as hell prevent No Heart to getting to anyone else. A quick step back and Kel first cast Graviga focused directly on No Heart. That was followed by a wall of Reluctancy and that was followed by a line of seeker mine. That would be the most magic he'd used back to back for a while, but it should be a sufficient distraction as they fled the boats. Kel allowed his keyblade to vanish shortly after his act before turning towards the boats as well. Kel is on the boat for the Native Grounds
"While appreciated, that's not what I meant." Chrono then decided to be upfront with what he wanted to know. "The Lightchaser, you know the most about him out of all of us and I'd like to be more informed about him." They were supposed to be a team and the Light Chaser was their common enemy at this point, any information could prove to be useful to them. "So I'll ask again, what's going on in that head of yours?"
Guess I'll take the Line 3
With his glider being designed similar to a skateboard, least the way he saw it, it made things easier for him to get a general idea on how to ride it. Despite that similarity there was the clear differences in what he could do since he's never actually ridden one before. He had zero intentions to try to kick off the ground to pick off speed while he was in the sky, where touching the ground would probably mean that he had fallen from the sky and he didn't want that. Boreas had given them some advice that was helpful when Chrono put it to practice. Made things feel a bit easier to handle. Once settled, he looked up towards Boreas and Torrin. He still held many questions regarding him and did want to answers to at least some of them. Nothing was happening right now which made it seem like the best time to actually ask some of them. Chrono leaned forward slightly and fortunately his glider did speed up, albeit slowly. His approach to Torrin was in fact slow, but he did get there. "Yo Torrin, for someone who doesn't like secrets you sure have a lot of them. What's going in your head?"
Lumen had no say in whether or not he wanted to be dragged away by Alyse, thus by the time he could object, she had already done so. The guards had just come into view when Lumen felt his arm being released. The young witcher glanced at her, then the guard, then once again her pondering her words. Judging from her standard disposition, trying to take her in could very well be the more convincing way to go about it, which the likelihood he would have to genuinely put in some effort. The safer route however would be to take him in. "Seeing as I don't have much of a choice." Lumen held out his arms towards Alyse, hid wrists touching one another. "Lead the way."
Both Cerdic and the extractor had both taken a hard hits from the darkness, though Cerdic himself had managed to get back into the fight, Chrono's concern was more with the extractor. The orb that seemed to have spawned from it was the perfect indication of something happening and held the most of his attention at the moment. The dark creature seemed more poised to break it now and Chrono resumed his attacks on it to prevent that from happening.
Qrow's timing was a little late as they had already decided it was time to go before Qrow had walked in to tell them just that. Oh well, the end results would still be the same regardless. With his hands in his pockets Lazuli walked out of the room behind the others. He headed back to his room, Lazuli made a quick check to see if he still had everything accounted for. It was and so he grabbed his bag and left to rejoin with the others. The walk there was relatively short and left Noire leading them as the last thing that needed to happen.
The very Kel had tried to move after having been frozen in time, an blizzard spell was fired at him. His instincts told him block and he did so sparing him from most of the damage, but still leading to his lower half being frozen stiff. Try as he might, nothing physical would break through the ice. Thus Kel tried something different, he cast firaga multiple times down on the ice until it had cracked as well as sending one towards also frozen Luna. Cracked enough for Kel to break through the ice through his own strength. "We've gotten this far without sacrificing anyone and that doesn't mean we should start now." With the feeling in his legs coming back to him, he was quick to head off towards the clone of No Heart that had currently had Beuce pinned. Kel quickly made a quick move around to his back and went for an attack. Resonance Blade! His keyblade became a lit with a green glow as it was brought down towards the No Heart clone.
Arthur Rozen the Gunslinger and a very lackluster bio
After chuckling at Aria's reaction to his yawn and his own eating of the pancakes Take had made, Chrono had gotten up and headed outside along side everyone else and was given a glider and keyblade transformation. It was cool to actually be able to do that now, even if there wouldn't be time to well practice. The group had decided that it would be best to bait out the super villains, which was fine and all, but they would have to pose as heroes by again putting on their costumes. As reluctant as he was in doing so, Chrono inevitably walked back to his room and doned on the costume once again. Chrono had stepped outside once again just in time to see Take holding up Nini, who for whatever reason was wearing a cape, as the former had giggled. That's right, Take giggled and it had completely surprised Chrono. "I'll be fine!" He replied to Take, tossing his keyblade up into the air and letting it fall down towards the ground in its glider form. He didn't think it'd be that simple, but it made things easy for him. Getting on board said glider, he flew off behind the others in a moderate pace. Last thing he wanted was to fall off from this height.
Out of everything that had just occurred to either him, or the group as a whole, Chrono would not consider himself to be lucky in any way. That however was something for another time. He gotten himself back onto his feet and eyed the attacking darkness before them. The way it was attacking at first looked like there were know gaps in which how it struck, but actually watching it happen Chrono soon found otherwise. There was a window, a small one, but enough for him to take advantage of. Readying himself, Chrono waited for that exact moment that gap appeared and dashed towards the darkness. He moved as quickly as he could and made sure to get as close as possible before striking at it.
When Hikaru had sudden frozen, Kel thought nothing of it at first. Merely brushed it off as Hikaru joking around or someone casting a spell on him. That notion died quickly when Kaida had frozen in place, followed by Beuce. Out came his keyblade as the wielder was now on edge for one by one everyone around him continued to freeze in place and whatever was causing this was nowhere to be found. Nothing, absolutely nothing was around that could be linked to all this. Something that remained the same as Kel himself was frozen in place as well.
It was nice to see Aria smile again. She generally tended to be the more cheerful and upbeat one out of all of them, thus making it odd to see her not like that. "No problem. At least this much should be something I can do." Chrono said before yawning, rather abruptly at that. That particular yawn was one he was holding in since the start of Aria sharing her woes with him and it would've been rude to yawn right in the middle of it, despite how tired he still was.
At first when Aria had said that she was missing her homeworld, Chrono nodded in understanding. Well to some degree he understood for it was less his homeworld that he was missing and more his father. He had to have been worried after he'd up and left to go train with Master Atmos without saying anything. Throw in the fact that Tinrah had both left and as aged five years in a single day, from his perspective anyway, The poor man was liable to have a heart attack if he knew what they were currently going through. The real meat of the issue was something different entirely. "Maybe its not that he can, but he chooses not to. What I mean is after that Magicktech generator was turned on, we were sitting ducks to the villians of this world on top of the heartless. Given how we were at the time, that would have been a go time to try and capture you." He was glad that that hadn't happen. The Light Chasers apprentices seemed to have the upper hand against them even with their magic and such back. A face off against either of them or worse the Light Chaser himself would just be disastrous. Briefly thinking back to what had happened with both Scroop and Dentro, the black wisps that flowed off of them, and their respective fates before looking back to Aria. Both of which had been 'consumed' by darkness in a way. "Maybe its different. There's still a lot about that nightmare I don't know about so I can't give the best of advice regarding it. If the nightmare does cause you, a princess of heart, to get obliterated, then the Light Chasers students will also probably go given whatever small amount of darkness they have." If they could just stop his plans then they wouldn't have to worry about this happening. Still was a looming risk though. "For now it'd be better to just worry about what we know instead of all the 'what-ifs'" It was easy for Chrono to say that, he's said it to himself numerous times after all.
Chrono had made his way over to one of the available chairs and sat down. Being able to smell both the chocolate and the pancakes roused him from his sleep like state just a bit. Enough for him to chime in with a "I could go for some pancakes as well." before adjusting himself further in his chair. Aria being a blanket burrito was something to see, but how quiet she was had confused him. If it was cause she was tired, then that was fair given that lingering nightmare of hers. Chrono still wanted to ask though. "You're unusually quiet. Something on your mind?"
With everything being for the moment with Thea, they rejoin Izra who had been waiting for them. Zephyr noticed that Thea had been walking closer with Kylo and Izra, a sight in which Zephyr had sighed. There wasn't much that could be done about it right now. That and his mind was more focused on coming up with ways to work around the venom given the up close and personal way he preferred to fight. He heard the noises up ahead right as they were motioned to stop. A bright glow shone over both his arms and lower legs. Upon fading, they were replaced by a set of red armor on his arms and lower legs, this being the end result of his thinking. Not that it wasn't without its flaws and he had thought up of a back up plan just in case. "The sooner we take out the pet, the sooner we can get to its master."
Sleep had been a foreign concept to Chrono when he had finally stalked back to his room. With everything that was currently swimming about in his mind, the only thing that he did was to rummage through the pockets of his own clothes, that had been waiting for him in said room, to take out his pocket watch. The silver trinket sat in the palm of his hand as Chrono himself laid back on the bed. He eyed the design that was plastered on the watch as it continued to tick. This time it didn't do much to soothe his nerves, it was at least nice to listen too. Some soothing effect was felt however as Chrono blinked. Least he was pretty sure he blinked. Some rays from the sun had started to peak into the room and he was positioned slightly differently on the bed. The pocket watch still sat in his hand though said hand was clenched around it. Surprisingly he must have fallen asleep at some point and it wasn't a good rest. Taking the required time to change out of his hero costume and back into his regular clothes, which felt much more comfortable compared to what he was wearing before, and walked out of his room. A yawn had come out by the time he'd reach the living room, despite his best efforts to cover it the noise was still heard. "Morning." He said absentmindedly, not quite processing who it was he was saving 'morning' too.
