Tristan took out two more before suddenly feeling a giant blow to the head. The other sword vanished. Tristan fell to the ground unconscious.

Reaching out to the nearby flows, Tristan Shaped a blade in each hand and ran in to battle, all the while slashing at any lizard that came near. 1, 2, 3, 4 Tristan counted to himself as he struck down four Lizards. 10, 11, 12, 13 One by one they fell to his hands. Suddenly they began to realize that Tristan was a threat, and the began attacking him in groups. 29, 32, 35, 38 Lizards fell by the dozens, but Tristan was tiring fast. He was already bleeding from taking a swipe to the back. but he ignored the pain. this was a battle of life and death.
If you don't want to do the heat thing, that's fine. you can go flat out ice if you want.

Perhaps, instead of ice, it should be heat. If they control heat the can cool things or heat things. You can still get ice like that.
