Smudge or blur? I honestly don't understand anything...

I do. All the time. =/ It's just that one time I put Lu on the same layer, but I'm redoing it all and I'm changing the render.
I found it, but Luigi was on the same layer as, like, everything...I'm gonna re-try it all... I'll re-post it in a bit.

But it's not a render. I used NO pictures at all. Like I said, it's a BRUSH! A Luigi BRUSH.
I don't understand the second one. I didn't use a render...it's a brush. What do I paste on the new layer?
