See, the danger with answering "It's not age, it's more like emotional maturity" is that some teenagers who know **** about love are going to consider themselves long past their incredibly low standards of emotional maturity. You don't know what love is until you've seen both sides of its medallion up close. I'll put it like this. You can say that you know what love is when you've been together with your partner for over five years at the very least and have experienced several heartbreaks before. Oh, and online relationships don't count of course.
Care to elaborate just how Breaking Benjamin is any better? Sure, their lyrics might be a tad less vulgar in general but they have contributed no more to the modern rock scene than Nickelback, as far as I know.

*sigh* People want to make eco-friendly things and contribute to science and medical studies, and they are. It just so happens that a drinking machine is much easier to invent than a cure for AIDS, so this soda machine gets invented first and automatically we assume that the danger of AIDS is being ignored because we don't hear of any progress. Stupid. But wait! Let's take all scientists from all soda companies and have them work on the AIDS problem. That'll make things go a lot faster! Slick thinking right? Well, no. You want possibly creative minds to jump on the bandwagon and want them to try to untangle one of the most difficult knots of today while they may have to put hundreds of easier-to-concoct ideas in the fridge. Don't forget that these scientists are working outside of their field of expertise too. Your chances of a revolutionary idea don't summarize and many brainiacs will contribute little to nothing. Waste of manpower I'd say. I'd rather fill up the less urgent holes and leave the AIDS problem to people who don't have to force interest in Biomedics for the sake of altruism.
Ah, I see. Then I'm afraid I misunderstood the first time. In that case, it depends on that other person's willingness to be friends. If he speaks ill of me the way I do, then it's up to him to decide whether I still have a place in his life. I wouldn't be angry with him or feel sad. After all, he just follows your own opinion, and to get upset about it would be quite hypocritical.
We fear that we haven't shaped our lives the way we wanted to. We fear that we will not be remembered the way we wanted to. Death is the final full stop; we can't alter the opinions people have of us anymore. It is the uncertainty of the legacy that we leave that make people anxious about death. Or better said; it is one of many reasons.
Seen a bunch of narrow-minded answers here so I want to point mine out again for other people to consider:
If they have money to work on such unnecessary projects, it's because we fund them by consuming products from their company. It's basic supply and demand: we become lazy and fat because we want to be. The Coke company and its projects aren't to blame; we're indirectly pushing them into developing new products. It's hypocritical to talk about "them" inventing useless stuff. We have only ourselves to blame. We prefer to drink another cola rather than give a few dollars to poor kids, and thus the companies we buy and consume from ponder about what the consumer would want next. My point is proven by these last few posters who think this is a cool idea. You're only as lazy as you want to be, and passing the blame to someone else can be a form of laziness in itself. This is all painfully easy to understand. Seriously, what do they teach you kids these days?
That person obviously knows me too well for his own good, so I'll just surprise him by making whatever decision he's unlikely to expect.

Calling inventions for saving time, albeit a handful of seconds, a waste of time is quite ironic. And what reason do you have to be upset anyway? I don't recall your time being wasted when the remote control was invented.

*sigh* The Coke company is not going to waste its time with finding a cure to cancer or inventing the flying car. It has its own field and specialty and should stick with just that. They have their own engineers and scientists who work on the projects they get paid for with money that you spend on cola from vending machines. Life's not as simple as you wish it to be, kids. We don't get to choose what should be invented next and by whom. The sheer amount of members here who seem to need a wake-up call on that slightly disturbs me though. Instead of being frustrated that the newest invention launched at the consumer is again not the flying car (boo-hoo, my heart is bleeding), you could be glad that we still have creative minds altogether. But apparently we're much happier and feel much smarter by being pessimist and listing all the things that we still can't do. That makes sense.
