Well, the only thing you can do now is be vigilant: don't take offers from strangers, lock every door and window, leave no ladders outside, stay close to your brother and uncle and aunt etc.
Also, I dissuade you from fighting. Kidnappers are often armed with something that can knock you out. I'd rather run if I were you.

I liked the story but overall it felt a bit too long and I'm not a big fan of the genre altogether... Still, it's a classic. What kind of stories do you usually like?
