My mom knows I go to this forum alot, the moment she sees it, she already gets where I am. After all, I spent my time usually here, so ^^;. And she even asked what's a forum.
"Anything you want to," Axel simply answered, finishing the last bit of his cocoa left, and licking his lips well as he looked at the mug. Placing it on the tray after Roxas, he didn't bother getting a napkin, his mouth wasn't dirty, and simply glanced towards his friend, knowing that was a change of subject. Then again, he didn't mind discussing another topic. "We can go to the others, we can find something to do, like the things I mentioned, or, I can smack you in the face with a snowball. That sounds tempting." He smirked.
Is hard to say what Xemnas said, as I don't believe Axel had a heart, he's a normal Nobody like the rest, but his friendship with Roxas drove him to feel more emotions. Nomura explained that Axel's death awakened Roxas from within Sora (which is why you face him in The World That Never Was), I'm guessing the shock of it. And I think what awakened in Axel was to feel like he had a heart, or that he got a true friendship compared to all the other Nobodies and he died satisfied, not completely, but obtained something that the rest didn't bother with. There's no other hint that Axel has one (and I really doubt it), because he's not special or anything of the sort, and if he did, it would've been mentioned by now.
"Not that the missions are much anyway, all we do is eradicate Heartless to get more hearts for Kingdom Hearts, and we'll be complete," Axel recited in a drone, though inwardly adding to himself that Roxas didn't really need to get a heart to be complete, Sora was out there, but that meant him disappearing. Shaking his head to keep away the thoughts, he took another sip of his cocoa, his eyes wandering thoughtfully at the falling flakes of snow, his breaths coming out as a mist, more so than everyone else since it was more hotter. "Too bad we can't eat sea-salt ice cream here...though I hated it my first time, I'm not even sure of it now, honestly, I just got used to it." He paused for a moment, as he tasted his cocoa again, and asked after he swallowed, "You don't remember much of your past, do you?"
It's been stated that to obtain human form as a Nobody, your heart must be strong or have a strong will. Those who are weaker turn into Dusks, so to speak, the weaker their strong will or heart is, the lower they'll be on the Nobody scale. That's why the Organization is also noted to be special, elements and weapons. That's how Sora and Kairi could create Nobodies of their own too, though special borned, they were still part of them. We know by how many times it is mentioned that Sora has a strong heart, and even if Kairi isn't great in physical strength, she has that within. It doesn't matter whether you have more darkness or light than others, whether you are evil or good, what matters is the strength or strong will of the heart you have that decides whether you keep human form. And if you see the new FM+ cutscene with Axel and the others in the Throne Room, is not that they can choose what Nobody to be, is that Xemnas has the power (his element is Nothing, and a Nobody is nothing) to turn his own league into Dusks. That's why even Axel said in translation as he became alarmed, with Xemnas' hand glowing as a threat of disobedience, "...a Dusk, huh?", and he agreed to bring down Roxas (which he never could, of course, and he was marked a traitor).
He didn't hesitate to encircle the little girl in his arms again, more tightly than before even, digging his head into her shoulder once more. Though Axel was still abit taken aback that he would've actually cried, or spilled tears, however you called it. He didn't want her to go away...that would be horrible, and all he could do is nod at her words. "It's okay...we just need to hope for the best, alright? Don't give up yet." He remained silent there, before requesting, "Now, how about we go back, hmm? If you want to, you can stay in my room tonight, unless you want to be with Naminé..."
OOC: Destiny Islands is tropical, so I'm sure it never snows xP. Unless something happens, yeah, is hard to imagine... Axel took a sip of his own cocoa, a much bigger one though, as it barely burned his tongue. He felt the hot liquid go down his throat as he swallowed, and he was glad he took the treat, since it was a different type of heat than his. Though, he raised a interesting eyebrow at Roxas, saying it's his first christmas, and knowing why perfectly. He chuckled. "Then I'll show you how it is then, you just need the right company...it always snowed where I came from...I just can't remember where...in your place, it can probably never snow..."
"I didn't know either, why did you think I was yelling?! We would've told you, but who wouldn't be nervous the way you're acting right now, that's what can make us worry. And this whole thing happened recently...!" Axel began to explain, a bit hurt that she had pushed him away, but he remained in his stance, despite his eyes burning with something he wasn't sure of again... "And what do you think I want, Shi?! I don't want you to die either...if I could do anything, I would, but I can't do anything concerning memories...but I don't want you to di..." He stared at her honestly, though was a bit startled when he found his eyes blurry. Axel raised his hand, wiping his eyelids away, only to find there was water in them. He blinked, not truly believing it as he gazed at his wet fingers...
Axel was about to answer Roxas' question until Luxord interrupted, offering hot cocoa. He was surpised that the Superior, of all people, would actually hand out such offerings, unless their leader was on...christmas spirits. He hesitated a little on the drink, watching Roxas take his quickly, as he didn't need it (he was warm), but he knew it tasted good. Shrugging, he took one in his hands as well, his tastebuds winning, and gave a short nod to Luxord. "Yeah, thanks, Lux..." He then turned his attention back to Roxas, knowing he was waiting for a full answer. Axel was silent for a moment, as he went back to his unNobody past, and began replying to the younger male as his memories seeped in, "Well...people do alot of things, other than bringing other people together as Luxord said. Some go ice skating, some go snowboarding, they ski, they go sledding, which is fun, especially the steeper the hill is, um...there are snowball fights, you can make snow angels, some go shopping for presents and decorations, of course, christmas trees. In the end, people celebrate by having dinner with family and friends, who some come from far away to share the moment with...or a party, if they're wild enough..."
No, actually, his element is Light (Just like Sora. All official sources say so). People say that because of the contrasting differences in the Oathkeeper and Oblivion, representing light and dark each, hence, together make Twilight, but that isn't the case. I thought that as well, but when I actually read, I found out. Twilight--XIII: I also figured something out right now. Perhaps they also trained in The World That Never Was, after all, remembering the Absent Silhouettes in FM+? The data of their fighting must have been gotten somewhere, they might've practiced in a training chamber, though I do also believe that before joining the Organization, they trained by themselves went disocvering what they can do. I'm sure it takes some fighting ability to get in the Org., Xemnas wouldn't choose weak ones.
Axel stopped in a balanced halt as they seemed to reach a dead end, his breathing labored and uneven, as he kept coughing more, never having a chance to calm it down. He took a moment to do this, though not taking his eyes off the little girl as he tried to calm his lungs. Stepping closer to her once he got back to normal enough, he stopped when he was in front of her, and bent down on one knee, to her level. Axel didn't say anything, except wrapped his arms around her little waist and gave her a warm embrace, holding her tight againts him, somehow giving her some type of comfort, massaging her back with his hand. "...I'm sorry..." he croaked mournfully, half-lididng his eyes as his chin was on her shoulder. "But things might be alright...Naminé that was only a slim chance of it happening, and there's still hope...."
Roxas; element is light, that's official. That's one of the mysteries that has yet to be answered, is true. I've wondered that, even where they get their weapons. At first I thought it would be from Xemnas, granting them certain ability, but how were they able to wield it and fight so resourcefully? It takes training to get to their type of level. Unless...it goes by a connection to their past...?
Axel shook his head as a response to his inquiry once he reached him, putting a hand on his shoulder in greeting. He then pointed to himself with his free hand, wondering if Roxas had lost some type of brain cell to ask that question. "Of course I'm not cold in this, my element is fire, I'm always 100% warm. Though, you know, the Organization coat also keeps you warm despite heating abilities, they are made for special purposes. It might work better than what you are wearing now even, actually." After he was done giving the advice, he stretched his arm out that he had placed on Roxas' shoulder, finding it stiff, and went to stare at him questionably as he turned his head sideways. "I saw you standing here...what have you been doing? Not that there is anything to do..."
Axel groaned when he saw Shigiku running out the door, probably frightened and knowing of her fate due to his shouting it to the world, and running a hand through his face in distress, he slid off the bed, following after Naminé, or rather, his own way. It was his fault for not being careful in case she heard this, and as he went outside, he could spot her little figure jogging. Eyeing her trail sadly, he quickly followed after, passing Naminé, as he knew he was quick on his feet. He was a fighter, and speed came with that package. As he came close to reaching her, he shouted at her, for once, not caring for his voice, "Shigiku! Wait! Don't run off, just come back!" Axel began to cough strongly, but even as he covered his mouth, he kept going after her, as his eyes stung from the action. She couldn't get lost on this ship.
Axel had folded back the paper after searching it through, not knowing where he was exactly, but not caring either. His black trench coat blew a little in the biting and cold wind, yet it had no effect on him, except for the fact that his face cooled for a second, only to get back to his normal temperature. Axel had never been more satisfied to have fire by his side as he did right now, constant hotness. As he kept walking aimlessly with no specific destination in mind, he wondered what he would do if there was something for a activity. He remembered, just slightly when he was a kid, that he used to love to sled, then there was ice skating, he also remembered vaguely that he could ski and snowboard. This might not be so bad. But he was still uninterested, and so he began to hum a familiar song under his breath that was fitting for now, just because he felt like it for the moment, and no one would listen anyway. "I'm Mister Green Christmas, I'm Mister Sun. I'm Mister Heat Blister, I'm Mister Hundred And One. They call me Heat Mizer, whatever I touch, starts to melt in clutch! Hahah, I'm too much..." He stopped his little bored induced sing along when he spotted someone from a few feet away, and squinting his green eyes to see better, he saw the obvious golden spiky hair, but he didn't recognize him at first glance because of the normal wardrobe he was wearing, instead of the uniform. Axel thought himself lucky as he began to walk at a faster pace to his best friend, "Roxas!"
Axel just stared blankly for a moment, letting it all sink in as he took the news, dumbfounded. It was after a moment of silence that he felt something in his stomach bubble in anger and some sort of pain, at Naminé for keeping this from him, and for the loss.... he knew it was risky, he was hoping that everything will be fine, so he allowed it...but he didn't want Shigiku to be gone....the girl didn't deserve it. "So she can die?! You're going to let her die?! Isn't there anything you can do...we just wait and sit until she falls down and freaking dies for a answer!?"
OOC: I know xP. Who knew that when Larxene was on her sadistic spree, it would end up helping someone? xDD
Axel was walking aimlessly through the halls of the Winter That Never Was (if the name came from Xemnas, then maybe they should rethink their leader), bored out of his mind, as there was nothing really to do here. And he couldn't even find Roxas so they could hang out, or talk, or go play in the snow, even, as long as it was something. The place was dull, and covered in ice. Axel had to keep in mind to be careful, or he'll accidentally melt the whole thing. He didn't feel any cold, as he was fire, and thus, he was warm, and looking around, he unfolded the paper that was on his hand, which was...the map. Maybe he could find some sort of activity to waste his day in...yet, nothing seemed interesting, to add to that, he was neutral on the holiday. Thought it superficial in some aspects, but somewhat enjoyable.
OOC: Lol xDD! Me too...I was like "awwing" all the while I was writing it. After he was sure that Shigiku was in the bathroom, and not be able to hear the conversation, he turned immediately to Naminé, eyeing her sternly, with a hint of concern. She seemed to be in thought, though he didn't have time for that. "Okay, now....spill."
"Night, Pumpkin-chan!" Axel bid to her back, returning her hug as his face dug into her shoulder as they laid down. He was quite...uneasy about what Naminé had to say, and he hoped it wasn't anything saddening. Releasing her, Axel kissed her forehead sweetly as he ruffled her hair again (a habit he's getting used to), and breathed. After this, he looked back at Naminé, aware that they were going to talk about Shigiku's health, and yet he turned his attention back to the little girl. "I wish I could tell you a story, but maybe tomorrow..."
