Read the post. And understand it too.
A reptile has obviously laid the egg, but regardless of the creature who stood at the base of this, it is still called an egg.

The concept of "egg" goes as far as sexual reproduction, wherein an ovum is synonym for an egg. This form of reproduction has existed long before avians roamed the skies.

    Volbeat

Their "Pool Of Booze" is basically our theme song. But they have other great songs too I must say. "Sad Man's Tongue", to name one.

This and everyone who disagrees is a dumbass. :) I'm sorry but you really are.

Suppose I have a reptile egg.
One mutation in its genome leads it to being 1% chicken.
This creature is still hatched from an egg.
A couple of other mutations occur: the resulting creature is 25% chicken but is still nurtured in what you would call an egg before its birth.
And thus the mutations along the avian evolution line continue. Right until you have a 99,999999% chicken. Sooner rather than later, the creature known as "chicken" would evolve from this precursor. This precur would still have to hatch from an egg (the type of egg is not specified so this argument does stand).

I am loaded right now so I must apologize if I didn't make sense. However feel free to refute it, I will gladly prove you wrong once I'm sober. :)

Your sibling rivalry has made me lock yet another thread (sorry Toshi but I hope you understand you won't be getting any real contributions in this thread anylmore).
I hope you realize by now that fighting your battles over the internet leads to nothing. Flyn Pnut and Rhopperguard, I think I speak for everyone, and I do mean everyone, when I say thet your bickering has gone on far too long. Next time you will receive a warning.

That's not an issue for me anymore. I didn't like it myself though, even though I didn't really have anything to hide.

Wow those were a lot of deletions. I'm not too fond of where this thread is going. Toshi and krayzie, I had to delete many of your posts either because they were spam, insulting or both. If I have to take such measures again I will warn you. Consider this your only verbal warning.

Also, this thread was meant for debate, difficult as it may be, so posts like "laptops are better than books" have been deleted as well. This section is meant for posts with a minimum of substance and argumentation. You'll know if I'm talking about you by the sudden absence of your post.

That is all. I'm on the verge of locking this thread.

Yeah, the nickname you gave him already did imply that he's blind as a bat. I wouldn't care for his opinion on matters like that.

    Because she's generic as shit.

Pete can make himself invincible. If he keeps using this until Sephiroth gets slow and tired he can just go in for the kill and shove one of his bombs up Sephiroth's ass.

Thanks guys! We celebrated yesterday night with a rave in the living room with us as only invitees (the dress code was "unmatching colours or nothing at all"). :D We got mighty drunk on rum, went wild on The Offspring songs, talked pirate slang, hung up a blanket and painted a skull on it and we had a coat hanger duel on the couch. I think we already did cause too much trouble.

We spent a good deal of the morning and the afternoon cleaning up (and buying a new blanket). Tonight we're going on the drinking spree to end all drinking sprees. :p And only after that things get serious...until the next weekend. Well I knew she had a very literal interpretation of the "you only live once" philosophy so it's not very surprising.

The question whether they should isn't all that relevant. It's whether they can keep up a relationship with that kind of age difference that really matters.
I'll try not to fall back to generalisations but I'd think that 12 year olds and 17 year olds have other hobbies, other interests and a different way of filling their social life.
This gap will only widen once the 17 year old comes of age and leaves high school to get a job or go to college.

Relationships like that, on that age and with that age difference, are usually quite short-lived and I don't see why this should be any different. They can be lovey-dovey as much as they like but I hope they're not eluding themselves by thinking it will be everlasting.

Babysitters are expected to be responsible. Everyone makes mistakes but if we don't point them out harshly enough they're never gonna learn.
It's not like she did it on purpose but she does deserve a decent long tongue lashing in my opinion.

Try to be a little more contributing to the topic at hand please. Posts like these will make it look as if you're post-whoring. :D

Distance yourself from them, but do it abruptly and they'll shrug it off and think it's your fault. Do it slowly and steadily, it's less painful for you too and they might understand that they were wrong somewhere along the way. No promises there though.

Don't worry with them thinking they're more or better than they are. These things have a way of working themselves out. Life will slap them in the face sooner rather than later.

Ergo Proxy, Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, etc.
Anything with a little more substance to it than oversized boobs and/or super magic ninja powerz. Anything that makes me think.
Except for FLCL, that show was great in its own right.

Also, please pay attention to where you make threads. General Discussion isn't the dumpster where you can just put everything you want. I moved this to Anime & Manga where it belongs. :)
