Blend the renderinto the bg, get rid of the black, and try to stay away from brushes unless you use clipping masks, which I am sure you are unaware of.

SHARPEN UP THAT RENDER, BOI! Hmmm.... I think you should sharpen and blur parts for depth and sexiness. Also, I say add some flow to help balance the text. And add some lighting while you're at it. For ten minutes, thats pretty good, though. Good job, keep it up.
