Then you thought wrong, didn't you? Because it's theoretically perfectly possible for two links of the same chain to co-exist.
Also, who says that humans evolved directly from chimps? For all we know, chimps could have taken another evolutionary path from a common ancestor, which would explain why they can walk the same earth at the same time.

It only makes sense to those who know absolutely jack shit about evolution.

Evolution never says that one species cannot become another. On the contrary, it acknowledges that isolation of certain populations of the same species can evolve into another.
Given that mutated genes get the chance to spread out in a population and accumulate, an organism will eventually evolve into another and be unable to produce fertile offspring when trying to mate with its original form.

This altering of the gene pool doesn't happen from one generation to another. Thinking that would be quite...******ed.

Please be a sarcastic post. Please.

I believe in evolution myself because the arguments backing it up actually make sense to the sane mind, in opposition to creationism who solely rely on "God did it".

I thought as much. There are few 13-year olds who do. But let me ask you this then: how can you be so sure that you can risk your life for what you believe? What guarantee do we have that you won't chicken out in the end? You're talking about risking your life, about sacrifice, while you don't even know what it means.

And as we all know, not liking someone is more than enough reason to act as a ****** to him.

Did he know? Because he might not have gone running around getting all angry and rawr if he knew.

And yes, you are being childish. If you had even a sliver of maturity in you then you wouldn't need weapons against staff. And yes, what this thread means to me is that another member's conduct is going downhill. If that makes me an artard, then so be it.
At the moment it beats being...you.

    Thread

    Human Tuning

You, as a human, have the privilege and the duty to improve your physical, mental, intellectual and social skills, as well as any others that can be useful and beneficial in any way. You may do so slowly but do so steadily.
If you were to meet someone who outclasses you in most or all major fields, you must do your best to surpass that person and/or sharpen your abilities in other areas.
You must harness your strong points and put them to a constructive use, and you may not accept your weaknesses, rather you must make it a priority to offset them.

    Discuss.

I give rep when I like what someone said, whether it be because it's intelligent or funny or for another reason still. I may have repped a friend for no reason once or twice but I don't do that anymore.
I de-rep people when they're being flamers, necrobumpers or just incredibly stupid. I also sign my de-reps (as well as my reps), which is fairly uncommon but I think it's fair to do so.

It should be illegal to sell any animal without informing the buyer of possible risks. This should be the case for poisonous animals such as the emperor scorpion. Even though its sting is not deadly unless you're allergic, you as a possible new owner of the beastie should still be informed of its potency.
It should also be illegal to own an endangered animal.
So yeah...I can see why ownership of an animal is prohibited sometimes.

This was a decent first experience. Sharing with friends, having an adult around, staying off heavier stuff... Most of us have an encounter with alcohol at some point, it might as well be a pleasant one.
Because let's face it; under other circumstances it might have turned out worse. Ending up in fights, getting pregnant, vomiting your guts out, waking up in the hospital etc.
It's nothing to be proud of but it sure isn't something you should be nagging about either. Go be a nun somewhere else thank you.

While getting drunk can be considered irresponsible drinking, it is still worth a try. You will be a different person, like Nick said, but we don't all evolve into ogres. Most people I know and drink with don't. It's a risk worth taking, maybe just once if the result is disappointing, but it's okay to try it out if you can handle the consequences (by which I mean that you can get back home safely).

And I ever see someone badmouthing alcohol or anything related to it again I will come down on him like the hammer of Thor. That is all.
