    Absolutely nothing is in order
    Absolutely nothing is okay
    Yes, it's because of you
But you don't want to know anything about that
(freely translated: But you couldn't care less about that)
Otherwise you'd surely be here...with me
Sometimes I wish I was dead
    I hate my feeling
    And my helplessness
(In the morning the sun rises)
    And I hate you

The more you post, the more convinced I am of atheism and the more tempting the path of "evil" (read: everyone who even dares to think for himself instead of accepting Gods existence and vision blindly) sounds.
You're doing an awful job in spreading your faith, even Christians on this here site disagree with your ways.
Like I said before: at least try to make intelligent posts.

This is going to sound silly but perhaps you should try to find a clip of a Spanish speaker with a really shrill voice and play it very loud. :p It may not help, but what have you got to lose?

    Religion

I don't allow my opinion of religion to interfere with my social life, but I won't put a sock in my trap just because a friend has a different opinion than me.
Religious background (if any) is seldom a hinderance to anyone when hanging around with friends.

The fact that you guys are on the internet on your birthday makes me doubt if you even deserve to grow a year older, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
    Happy birthday guys!

I say yes. She did make the right choice. She didn't give into peer pressure and followed her own vision, giving her at least a chance for a more hands-on experience and see things both way.
Sometimes people don't follow the path you want them to. I'm not agreeing with how she changed, but it happens. They have an opinion of their own. Deal with it.

That's a very immature way to look at it. Using a condom is a shared responsibility, just like keeping track of the birth control pill schedule and the menstrual cycle. If you want your relationship to have an actual chance of survival you should know that you can't just hand the responsibility mic to your partner.

Which doesn't mean we can't judge her as long as we help her. Also, being judged can be very helpful. Behind the harsh words often lies advice.

Which lies? Give me one example and a logical explanation why it is a lie. For someone who hasn't been "desensitized" you make an awful lot of accusations that you don't bother explaining. ;)

Take your "God exists. Period." attitude to kindergarten where the folks are content with your non-arguments for ages 3 and below. :)
You are gonna need more than that if you want to be taken seriously here.

One more question just to make sure: you didn't bet on one horse did you?
Calendar method? Condom? Morning after pill?

In any case, your parents will find out eventually so it is indeed best to tell them in an early stadium. They may be upset but not as upset as they would be if they found out much later.

Good thing I did try my best to be helpful then. ;)

Read if this is your fault:
Serves you right. Should have use protection, shouldn't you? :) Sucks to be you. :p Gahaha, pregnant...

Read if this is not your fault:
Can you think of anyone who would be willing to raise the child, or can you consider adoption? Is your family against abortion (yes, I am suggesting the a word)?

A valid hypothesis is one that can be disproven.
A neutral statement can always be written in two ways: the "zero hypothesis" (untruth, no connection, etc.) and the "alternative hypothesis".

    For example:
Zero hypothesis: There are no wild gorillas in Belgium.
Alternative: There are wild gorillas in Belgium.

The only usable one is the zero hypothesis since it can be disproven. It is refuted the moment we spot a wild gorilla in Belgium. The alternative cannot be disproven because just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean that it's not there. You may have checked at the wrong place and/or at the wrong time.

Choosing to lean towards the alternative hypothesis is of course scientifically irresponsible (Bunterx' "intellectual suicide" slogan was the subject of somewhat of a shitstorm but he had a point).
Thus, religious folks advocating "openness" are of course endlessly hypocritical seeing as they support a statement that will never be disproven (nor proven, I'm guessing, but they don't seem to care much). And if you have such an impregnable "argument", then why would you go into the danger zone and try to see things the other way?

This is one of the many reasons why I prefer atheism. The way I see it it's the only point of view that is fair game.
Also note that while I admit that atheism's "zero hypothesis" can be disproven, I sincerely doubt that it ever will. ;)

I wonder if someone else here has ever seen it this way.
