I was watching Prime time and it was interesting there was these two situations that I thought we're cool.
Okay so it was a test. They hired actors to play parts and see how 'America' would react to them.

Anyway the first situation was taken place in a local coffee shop? I think it was. Anyway a muslim lady (actress) was dressed like um (I don't know the exact term but) covered up? Like with the towel? <_> I'm really not trying to be offensive but I don't know the terms ^_^;; anyway and the people behind the counter (also actors) one of them wouldn't take the muslim's order becuase he was saying that she wasn't American, along with that he made racial insults dealing with how she looked, war, and other stuff. So she would ask people nicely if they can, ya know, order for her (she even told them she had the money and would pay) And the first time with the first set of people no one said anything so they all ignored her. The next set the people all ignored her, but then there was some people who started incouraging and giving thumbs up to the man that was being racist. Then the third group, an old woman stood up for the muslim and told him to stop that it's just her religion and after she said that many people started to leave and tell the dude (the racist manager/actor) to **** off and that he was stupid and should stop. Than there was this man who has a son in the war, who stood up for her. And two girls that not only said something and left but stayed there and fought, one of them was I think white and one was muslim as well. The muslim girl (the one that wasnt the actor) had casual clothes on, and the manager didn't say anything to her becuase she was 'American' which only prompted them to yell at the manager more for saying that.

The results were I think 13 defended the muslim 6 agreed with (meaning they actually said something encouraging to the manager) and I think 20 just ignored it. Which made ignoring the majority.

    What would you do?

    -------

Then the other one was about these 3 girls (actresses) picking on one girl (actress) at the park there was one mom with her husband and her baby the mom was so enthuistic (sp?) about it that she even mocked the girls saying while moving in a girly girl motion "Like, it's so fun to make fun of people! *giggle*" (She was being sarcastic though) She then walked away. Another mom told them off just telling them off. Many people ignored it. Then they switched it a bit. The 3 girls changed into more 'gangsta' clothes and became more agressive to the girl by saying stuff that dealt with beating up. Most of the people ignored the girl but when they left they tried to target the victim more. Only one man stood up to the girls and told them that if they didn't leave he would call the cops.

(I agree with the observer that the reason more people ignored them and targeted the victim was because they didn't want to get into trouble, but that wouldn't work since the victim would just say 'it's fine' but deal with it later)

    What would you do?

(Remember this was all real and normal people)

For the 1st one about the muslim I'd:
First off, pay for the muslim and give her the drink. And even being 13 I would say something, tell him off and to stop being iggnorant. Espicially if I saw adults incouraging the manager because that only pissed me off more since I would think adults would be SMARTER and more MATURE to not incourage them. >_>

For the 2nd one (1st act):
I'd probably ignore it, and console the victim (only because of my age) since my say wouldn't be as strong as an adult's.

For the 2nd one (2nd act):
I would ignore it, and if someone was with me that was old enough I'd tell them to call the cops if it got that agreesive enough.

Be honest when answering, I'll honestly read your posts. This is interesting.
