I couldn't think of anything to say but I posted. xD I am hungry.
Seeing guards as she went on her way, Melanie walked slowly and made sure to stare at the floor while looking more unhappy then she already was. The slightest look of hope or nervousness would've hinted that she was doing something she shouldn't be doing, even though they barely payed any attention to her. In fact, she should be sweeping one of the many hallways in the palace with other servant maids. That could wait. She was thinking more about her stomach than about the consequences of getting caught eating the rulers food at the moment. Melanie glanced up at the camera in the top right corner of the hallway before looking back at the floor. Could she really be able to steal this food? She ignored the thought and began to imagine what was in that plant. Pork chops? Ham? Carrots? A loud growling sound ended the slience in the hallway as Melanie put a hand on her stomach like she could force it to stop. The guards that weren't paying attention suddenly started doing so now. Melanie tried ignoring their stares and continued moving before she heard one of them call her out. "Hey, you!"
