About thirty minutes later after leaving the basement, Melanie stared up at the large chandelier in the center of the ceiling in the hallway she was standing in. It was beautiful. It seemed to have been made out of solid gold with all sorts of wonderful stones attached to it like emerald, ruby, pearl, and other things she might not have seen since the last time she saw it. The ruler probably never looked or cared about that thing. To him, it was just to be used for decoration. Just decoration. That chandelier would be an enormous fortune to everyone else in Pulse. Shaking her head, Melanie continued down the hallway and started to head in the direction of the kitchen. She wasn't allowed inside, but she heard that there was a food stash nearby that some servants hid to help out others that worked in the palace.
