But at least she was around when they took it away from her. And like I said, that doesn't give her the right to go nosing in other people's "property". Especially not if the owner is still around to give the confiscated item back. Is that so hard to understand? Ever think that someone who takes his/her iPod back could have easily swiped something else of value from that desk? Right. Besides, if you value your iPod so much the very least you can do is go look for someone who can give it back so that person can tell the principal.
(1) To save herself the trouble she's in now. (2) Because the desk is the principal's territory and because it was taken for a valid reason in the first place. The principal has every right to chide on pupils that grope around in her drawers, even if they take something that's theirs. If you're such a goody two shoes about property, you should at least acknowledge that. Then she should have known that they definitely would have given it back. Just give your ride a holler and say you can't leave yet. I know that the principal overreacted. But she had her reasons.

So there's this game, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, where a couple of factions are introduced. All of them follow a specific Reason; a concept of the world and its inhabitants as they'd like to have them. Which of those Reasons (or Kotowari) would you choose? Since many of you won't know the game, I'll explain them briefly below. Reason: Yosuga Yosuga is the way of the "strong", or the skilled in general. The talented are the only ones qualified to be righteous and have the right to make the laws and impose them on the weaker or dim-witted. This is a state of constant evolution and revolution through conflict. Every individual hones its own skills to secure a place in a pecking order that determines the fate of the entire population. This always goes at another's expense however. Some have more because others have less. Mankind knows poverty because it knows wealth. Yosuga, much more so than any of the other Reasons, incorporates both regard for individuality and regard for society in general though. It is ever-shifting and never in a state of boring stasis, as chaos is its nature. You may choose to refine your own personality, skills or identity in general, but you may just as well relinquish them. Musubi is the way of solitude; it has no community spirit whatsoever. It is a state of personal freedom where one can do anything without consequence. You cannot harm others, nor can you help them. Me and my three best friends met at a convention for people with personality disorders and mental illnesses. So it wouldn't really count.

QFT. I've played the regular version of Persona 3, watched the extra scenes on YouTube though. Liked the game a lot. An extra layer of depth to the characters and/or overall plot would have made this game near-perfect imho. The story was disappointing in Shin Megami Tensei standards.

Hanging out with him will probably tick you off on several instances. He's not who you thought he'd be. Tough luck. Move on. Lots of nice people around. ;)

I'm a guy, and I don't like it. The story is painfully boring in my opinion. It wasn't quite as refreshing as I had hoped it to be either.

It is actually. It pays off to consider the option. It wouldn't be the first case in which rescheduling turns out to be more effective and easier than making up excuses. I'm busy too, but by no means have I ever felt the need to work online at 2 AM.

I finished it about a week ago and I loved it. The story, gameplay, soundtrack... Great game for a handheld! Love the post-game challenges too.
I meant that you have an overall advantage; either being with someone helps you or it does nothing but it does not hurt (unless you like the shy type, in which case it is not recommended). That is true, but it does not have to be a date or girlfriend you have to be with. Any female in your entourage will do, so to speak. A guy with many female friends has an overall advantage over a guy who doesn't have any or few. A lot of girls like him, so he has to have a certain charisma, a certain "something" that appeals to girls. That's the line of thinking that many girls (subconsciously or not) follow. That's what I meant from the very beginning. Besides, having a lot of female friends helps a guy to come in contact with relatively more girls than a loner or someone who has exclusively guy friends. Maybe I should have put it like that in the first place. The whole "guys that are taken" was rather confusing. My apologies.
If it has an benevolent effect on some people, and a neutral effect on others, then you do have a relative advantage. Granted, it will probably have a negative effect on a third group of people as well. Perhaps being with someone frightens less bold or brave characters. Guess it might balance out.
