Beuce had been struck hard by the bombs, him and Stratos had been hit by more of them than anyone else. She did some damage alright, but that wasn't going to keep them down. Not with their kind of strategics. Shortly after he was knocked unconscious, Ananta began dancing. Yes. Dancing. However this dance possessed magical properties. The healing properties it possessed filled the party with vital energy, tending to their wounds, restoring their magic, and strengthening their hearts. Now sufficiently healed, he pushed himself up off the ground and stood once again, noting that they were under the cover of reluctancy. With the opportunity to do things other than attack, this was a golden chance. "Come out, Three caballeros!"
Beuce clapped for Stratos as he unleashed the trip around the sun limit. That was actually pretty intense. Even in her hardened state it would do massive damage, and if he'd done the calculations right, she wouldn't be able to sustain her Rhino form after that. "Did you ever think of pursuing a life in drama? You'd be pretty good at it." He said to Stratos with a chuckle as he waited for the smoldering of Mim to fade, allowing them to see her once more.
R nodded, pleased with the outcome. He obliged the request not to look behind the curtain, but spoke from the other side to Ananta. "Know this, Sage of the Crystal. So long as you don't betray us, you have my undying gratitude for healing her. But if you try anything, if anything happens to her at all, i don't care what else happens afterwards. You will die." R threatened. It was obvious and understandable that he didn't fully trust this mint-haired woman. After all, she'd expressed her hatred for people like them before. Nevertheless, he didn't have much choice but to trust her slightly for now. If he wanted Xepphiras to be healed, if he wanted her to be alright, this was the only choice he had. He took a seat, and began waiting for the healing process to finish. Satsujin did not hesitate in his counterattack. With blinding speed, he unsheathed Narukami. "Tsubame Gaeshi!" he called out, slashing at Natana three times. One at the neck, one at the waist, and one across the torso. Only, there was something significant about these strikes. There was no first, second, or third. No. They were all exactly simultaneous. Blocking one would mean you couldn't block another, and even if you managed to deflect both of those, there was no way to defend against all three simultaneous strikes without some form of barrier. And even then, most wouldn't think to use a barrier, as they would have no idea what was about to happen until it was too late. For plot relevant purposes, the strikes connected in this post and tore her body apart. She'd regenerate soon enough, but while she was in pieces a glimmer caught Beuce's eye. Right in the center of her chest. Well, if Beuce had learned ANYTHING from video games, it was that shiny things, especially in the chest, were weak points that lead to their defeat. "Unkillable huh? We'll just see about that, won't we?" He summoned his keyblade and Gugnnir, ready to defeat Natana once and for all.
Beuce didn't seem to be all that intimidated by the Rhino's presence, but he was grateful that he now had a magical barrier to take a bit of the damage should he be hit. Barrier...That might just work. His body began to glow with a pale white light. "You're goin' down sags." With a running start, he charged the rhino with as much ferocity as if he'd been one himself. Shortly before he came into contact with her, he pounced towards her, cloaking his own body in protective barriers and punch her. He punched a freaking rhino. An old lady looked strange but this...
The scenery of the world they arrived in was beautiful. Halls and streets of stone, citizens in the streets without a care. They had no idea of the impending danger. R didn't make note of any of this. There was only one focus in his mind. The red-haired girl next to him on the glider. Would he be able to protect her from Omega? Let alone Chaos? He could try. As they arrived at the medical wing and he was asked which of the two was more injured, the answer he would give came to mind immediately. Without hesitation, he placed his hand on Xepphiras' shoulder, his eyes locked onto her, and motioned for her to step forward with a nod. "She is the more injured." He said to Ananta. Though he knew it wasn't true, he knew he was the more injured, it was more important to him that she be treated. "I will be fine. My treatment can wait. The endurance of a heartless outstretches that of a human by far." R said, trying to convince the girl to go before him. It may have been quite obvious who was the more injured out of the two. R could barely stand. Yet still, he placed her before himself. Beuce turned around to see the source of the voice mocking him. It was the girl who had murdered his red-headed wife, his other wife, but not the other red-headed wife. Obviously as she was murdered too, yet still not his blue-haired wife. No...This was his green haired wife. "He used the cut your goddamn head off line, didn't he?" Said apparently the reincarnation of King Solomon, the biggest player in history. He glared at Natana for being evil and murdering the hot wife. "Oi, petals. We've gotta take down this chick. Think you can help me out?" he asked. Satsujin nodded. He'd failed in all of his battles thus far, he wouldn't fail in this one too. He promised Caleb that he would repay his debt by helping in the wa- "Okay does your text color change every goddamn post? Pick one and stick with it! Jeez." ...He promised Caleb he would repay his debt by helping in the war. So far, all he had done was slow everyone down. Not anymore. He would help defeat her, and Omega as well. He made a decision...Satsujin no longer had any purpose. Their only reason for living was the death of R. He...He no longer desired that. He would become a knew person. This time, he would fulfill his debt.
India'd has his fill of tormenting Dmitri for the moment. Now, he started to analyze the situation as to where they were, and how to escape. He looked over at the front door, the most obvious option. It was wide open, but through the doors was a long staircase leading into a dark and chilling area. He doubted that it would even lead to the same world they were trying to get back to. Looking for another means, he deduced that the dark area was only lead to by those stairs, and any other means of exit would return them to their desired destination. "These will be quite useful." He said, taking down a piece of cloth which had the names of tournament participants written onto it. "perhaps we could form these into makeshift parachutes, then we leap off the side of the coliseum, allowing Dain to keep us afloat with his wind magic. I realize this doesn't sound like the best idea in the world, but we don't really have a lot of options."
Since Beuce had forgotten the mp cost for dumbo, He was forced to redo his turn through some paradoxical turn of events. He saw no Azurite around here, but paradoxes were apparent. He ran up and bare fistedly struck Mim multiple times, hoping to get in a hit and knock her into the mines. Unfortunately, his combos weren't as long as most. However, anyone could knock them into the mines, not just the user. That was good to know.
R's gaze turned to Ananta. She was offering them refuge. Nowhere was entirely safe from the wrath of kingdom hearts, but some places were safer than others at least. He didn't know if he could trust her, but at the moment there wasn't much choice in the matter. Nodding, he stumbled to his feet. "You have my thanks. As of now, conflict between light and dark is pointless. Unless we work together, there won't be anything left to fight over." R said, then helped Xepphiras to her feet. He held the girl close to his side as he spoke, as though protecting her was the main thought on his mind, even over the words he was speaking. "Lead the way." Beuce quickly got back onto his feet. R managed to make his laser things go back at him and temporarily stall it in the process. So if there were a time to retreat, it'd be now. He quickly got to his feet, and heard Ananta telling people to go to Crystalis. Guess they were making that their new base of operations. They had good food, so he wasn't complaining. He ran over to the person notorious for being knocked unconscious for ungodly amounts of time to make sure he wasn't have a relapse. Thankfully enough, the man was fully awake and standing before Beuce even had been. Satsujin looked over at Beuce running up to him. He had a vague memory regarding something about a nose involving him. Nevertheless, he remembered him as the one who had come up with the strategy for defeating the darks. "I believe retreat is our only option." "Yeah no kidding. I came here to make sure you weren't unconscious for another 20 pages." "...Pages?" "Don't worry about it. In any case, grab my keyblade!" Satsujin reluctantly did as he was told, and grabbed Beuce's keyblade. He didn't know quite how, but somehow the two of them were wisked away, leaving a rainbow trail behind them as Beuce yelled the word reference. It was by far the strangest thing the assassin had ever done.
Damion's eyes fluttered open as he found himself laying face down on the ground. His narcoleptic habits had gotten the better of him. While he had no doubt that his brother was able to catch and kill the witness, he looked around to see no sign of the girl he'd taken. This was bad. He hadn't gotten what he wanted from her, but that wasn't exactly a crying shame. What was really the trouble was that she witnessed them. They had to track her down and keep her from bringing the authorities into this. While him and his brother were strong, numbers beat power. Another option would be...to enlist some help. Perhaps join the mafia. Whatever they were going to do, he needed to find Darius first. Pushing himself up off the ground, he began walking in the direction he'd last seen Darius.
Beuce began frantically waving his arms and panicking as she began to flash them. "OH GOD PLEASE NO SPARE M- oh it's just light. I thought...oh." He said, apparently not really caring about the fact he could barely see. Nevertheless, dots filled his vision and attacking would be somewhat of a moot point as the chances of hitting her were down the crapper. So instead...Why not call in a little help? He raised his fist to the sky as an orb of light appeared around it, apparently channeling some kind of magic. With an uppercut-like motion, he threw the orb into the sky. "Come on out, Dumbo!" When it descended once more, it was now much larger and an oblong shape. From it burst a small baby elephant with enormous ears. It landed right next to Beuce as he patted it on the back of the head. "Hey, long time no see. We're in a bit of a jam here. Think you could help us out and knock wrinkletits onto those mines?" He asked the elephant. Having understood him, Dumbo took flight and circled around mim. He fired a barrage of 10 water pellets, each one knocking her onto a different mine. "Yea-heah! Get her!" Called Beuce from the ground.
Beuce glared at Mim as she bended the rules in her favor. Psh. Man if he knew you could make the rules that broken he would have done MUCH better than that. Like the"okay but we get all three of the evil apprentices and all our keyblade wielding allies and clones of them and the elemental guardians and yen sid in his prime and ALL of the order our entire party has a grow and full deck status and this rule can't be revoked by any means." rule. I mean they could just pendulum summon all that crap right? Invent pendulum summoning in the middle of a fight? No? aw. Well i guess there was no sense crying about it now. Beuce struck a stance that would make one swear he was in street fighter four, then ran at at Mim. He leaped over her rather skillfully and laid a field of mine square around her, as she was now on the ground. He expected stratos to follow up, placing his mine square so the overlapped and they could push her into two at once.
Beuce looked over at Stratos as he talked about the equivelant of throwing a sun at someone. "Yeah, i know it. Pretty sure that falls under a category on its own. While you fight, your heart builds up power inside it. You can draw that power out in a lot of different forms, Generally the path you took will shape how the power manifests, but there are exceptions. Like, for example, the sun thing. That takes all the power your heart can muster to dish out, but there isn't much which can stand up to it. To be honest, i've never seen it. I'm curious as to what exactly it looks like. Maybe it's different for each person..." Beuce said, then began thinking to himself. While making a pondering face, he walked over toward Mim. "Oi! Quite NPCing and respond! Do you accept the rule?"
India gave a puzzled look to Dmitri. He stood silent for a moment, his expression as though the answer should be completely obvious. His mind sorted things out like a machine. "Dawn shows no signs of a traumatic experience such as losing a family member. She doesn't remember this other sister. Which could imply that she was either too young to know what happened, and given her age difference to you it's likely she'd have some recollection of it, if extremely slight, or that she arrived into the family after the incident happened. In addition, you and she share no discernable similarities in your appearance. There are siblings who don't look alike, but nearly all share something. A nose, their eye or hair color, but you two share nothing. Also, her name. Signifying the dawn of a new start, perhaps? Viewing these factors simultaneously, the most likely explanation is that she was adopted." India said. He and Dain made a good team. Dain kicked the **** out of them physically, and India did so mentally. Thus their opponent was left utterly defeated.
He's sexy. I like it.
finally. I was wondering when someone else would actually use the thing.
"Well, You might know it, but i'm pretty sure none of you have ever actually seen it though, or maybe even know much about it. It's called Reluctancy." Beuce said, beginning his explanation on the spell. Despite the carefree slacker impression he gave off, he was actually somewhat well versed in academics. He lead an army. He had to be somewhat smart. Whether he acted on the intelligence or not varied like the direction of the wind. "It's an advanced type of thaumaturgy, originally used by dragons, that bends the world between you and your enemy, creating a barrier of sorts. It's not that it's difficult to break in and of itself, but it drains the willpower of anyone who thinks about trying down to nothing. You don't want to break it no matter what. You still want to get to your opponent, just not badly enough to break that field. There's not a being alive willful enough to break the Reluctancy shield. Thing is it works both ways, so it's best used to provide some cover while you heal up and get ready for the next attack." He stopped and thought about what he just said. He was being useful again. Why was he doing that so much in this world? He was meant to be comic relief, not the leader of the group.
Beuce shook his head. He didn't know thunder, but my god that pun was horrible even by his standards. I mean i know i made one really similar in the battle sounds event but...i-...Its just bad okay?! Jeez. "Maybe she'll be thunderstruck." There, at least that was a tad better, being an AC/DC reference and whatnot. "Anyways, Thunder is a bit low on my list of magical learning. I didn't sacrifice the mystic so i'll get it sooner than your average warrior, but still won't be for a while." Beuce said, then looked at Stratos hoping he had something for them. "Hey, Stratos. You like seeing new magic right? In the fight, I'll show you a spell that will leave you in awe. Pretty sure Kel knows it too."
Because the planet makes her immortal. Yes. That's a totally logical reason.
Beuce took the punch at full force, and man did it send him flying. Up into the sky he went, even broke the clouds. He looked up at the lanes between rapidly approaching before him. Kel was strong sure, but he didn't know he was THIS strong. Just imagine what Karina would have been able to do. It wasn't long before he sparkled in the sky somehow from blasting off again...He wasn't coming down yet either. Looking onward, he was now soaring through the lanes between Well, this was trippy. Despite the worlds being huge, he could see the events happening to his keyslinging comrades...and only them for some reason. Odd. First up was Beast's Castle. From the looks of things, Karina was falling for a gothic Edward Cullen with a nice taste in capes. "Karina, Conceal don't feel! Don't let it show! Do you know how emo it'll make you seem if you also have a thing for vampires? I mean it was bad before but this is getting ridiculous!" That was all he had the time to squeeze out before flying on to the next world. Corona. There, he saw the party emerge from a tunnel, with Mr. not-so-tall, dark and moody having a flaming backside. Beuce found this extremely hilarious and began cracking up. "Was that kind of what the hun felt like?" He called down to glen. Needless to say, he didn't have time to get a response. He kept on flying, until finally he hit the edge of the lanes and bounced off with a "khing" sound. Back across the lanes he went until finally skyfalling back down onto Camelot. Down he fell, plummeting through the sky, rapidly approaching the ground. With a massive blow, he struck the ground hard enough to make a crater. Man, he was really lucky there was no fall damage in this. Climbing out of the crater, he turned to Ananta. "Might not be the best idea to discuss our plans openly in front of our opponent. I don't think she's gonna give us the same advantage of knowing what she'll do."
