"But how do you know?" Larxene debated, feeling her eyes burn. She thought it was probably from the wind, so she ignored it. "I know what you mean, I felt it too...but what if it is all fake? Do you really think we are actually able to feel? Really feel?" Axel gave a ghost of a smile, not even reaching his nose. He tried hard to find some form of a tone, even if it was a rasp. "Wake up....and look to my side to find Larxene pissed off...waiting to strangle me cause I fell asleep on her...." He then set his eyes at the table. "And if it isn't a nightmare....I would want to go home...get on my bed, and make myself believe it was." He laughed, though it was empty. "I'm acting like a wuss, aren't I?"
Larxene stared at Naminé for a moment, before putting her gaze back on the floor. She didn't really feel like speaking, but she thought it will do some good, make her feel better about herself, though she doubt it. "Is hard to explain. I don't know...I guess I quite don't get where my feelings lie. I don't want to fool him. And I don't want to fool myself. Can he even...like me? Maybe is his memories tricking him. I want to be sure before it gets farther, that's all. I'm not used to this..." Axel's empty eyes looked over at Angel, and he just banged his head again. He wanted a diversion, something to stop him thinking about... Sorry, Axel, b-but...I can't. He shut his eyes tight, willing it away, banging his head on the table repeatedly. He gulped his permanently chalk dust mouth and throat. "Angel...please tell me I'm in some nightmare...." Axel didn't even whisper, he couldn't even manage to find his voice. He just hoped Angel could read lips.
OOC: Don't get mad ^_^;. For some reason, I like Axel suffering xP. Just for a little bit anyway. And NoD, Larxene left you with Zexion to go kill, but now he's talking to Roxas about his date...I think. Axel went walking towards the table where he was in before, feeling absolutely numb. He knew his mouth was probably gaping and he wouldn't be surprised if he was pale. He couldn't even hear the people asking him to be the DJ again as he passed through them, it was like an echo. Once he reached it, he sat, and immediately banged his head on the table, hard. This was a nightmare, it had to be. It felt like his nonexistent heart was stroke by lightning, stomped on by high heels, and shot through with pointy yellow kunais. All from Larxene. He could not *bangs head* believe *bang* this *double bang*. "Oh God..." Rejected. Utterly rejected. He didn't even have the decency to thank her. She didn't stop when she found herself running outside, wanting fresh air to deal with what she had just done. Insufferable guilt, or what it felt like, rush through her body like poison. But she couldn't do it. She didn't want to give him some false hope. He obviously really liked her, and she wasn't even sure of her feelings, if she could even feel any....like that. Okay, so she knew her rage was jealousy, she wasn't dumb, but, that wasn't enough. It was too much. Because she was never shown anything of that sort before, and she wasn't one to give it back. Sighing, Larxene sat on a empty bench, pulling up her dress a bit, and dragging her knees to her face. She hope she didn't hurt him that bad, she just had to figure things out for awhile. "I did the right thing...I know I did..."
OOC: LMAO!! I get in only to find this xP. It does look like it though. *cue music* Now, for the proposal.... "Of course that's how I like you. Don't ever change..." Axel admitted openly, and just as he said it, his throat became parched...again. But he wasn't going to stop now, even if he sounded like a croaky old man. He took in a breath. "The whole thing was a misunderstanding. Basically to make it short; I wanted and tried to ask you to be my date, but then you went with Zexion, so I got annoyed, and I went to the DJ's post. Angel joined me to cheer me up. Everything you saw was friendly. Even the hug, she was just nervous I'd think. All she did was support me." He paused for a second, wanting to see if Larxene had anything to say. But she was quiet. Taking the chance presented, Axel forced out the next line. "So...I was wondering...will you be mine tonight?" There. More sappy than he expected, but there. Finally. He said it. Everyone cheer! Hallelujah! Huzzah! Banzai! Blijdschap! Larxene just stood there, looking at him, still red in the face. More for the fact that she, indeed, felt stupid. She was going to basically commit murder for a misunderstanding. She stared at Axel, who was waiting for an answer, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. It was really funny, actuallly. She shook her head, however. "Sorry, Axel, b-but...I can't." She briskly let go of his hand, and started to quickly walk away, leaving him standing there in shock looking at the wall. OOC: *wedding music scratches* Oh. Burn :D. I'm sure you can. Most people have, and they got accepted. I think you can roleplay now, if you want. Though is not my say.
"Don't worry. This one is so good it will make you feel stupid," Axel snapped back, sending a secret look at Angel to make sure everything is back to normal. Feeling a bit daring, he interlocked his fingers with hers, and inwardly grinned as for the second time this night, she tensed up. He seemed to be on a roll. "Putting up a show in prom like that. You're insane." "But isn't that the way you like me?" Larxene flirted half-heartedly, as she looked away. Her face was burning, and she lifted her free hand to feel her cheek. It was warm...she couldn't be blushing, could she? No freaking way. Larxene looked around as he guided her to the empty hallways, a bit farther away from the bathrooms. Privacy indeed. His answer, though, is what shocked her and didn't relinquish that heat in her cheeks.
"Yes, I do," Axel nodded his head, a bit amazed at Angel's shout. He made his chakrams disappear, and still a bit shaken up from this whole thing, gazed at Larxene squarely in the eye. He was starting to thankfully calm down. "This wouldn't have happened if I had the guts to ask you in the first place. I-" He stopped himself once he noticed the crowd leaning over the stage from the corner of his eyes, trying to listen in on the conversation with curious expressions. He shook his head, and held out his hand for Larxene to take. "Come with me somewhere more private. I'll explain it to you there...please." The audience aww'd and booed in disappointment. Axel restrained himself from rolling his eyes. Nosy gits... Larxene raised her eyebrow as the words finally got through her head. Not his girlfriend? Then...right. Explain... Breathing heavily, she lowered her hands and stance, as her kunais faded away. She was still trembling from the bottled up anger, but managed to walk to him. Larxene hesitantly took his hand, while he grasped it tightly, and quickly lead her away. She gave a glare of warning to him. "This better be a good one." She looked at Angel one more time, before permanently shutting her out. It was a tatcic for her to control her resentment.
Though Axel's tone of voice did shock her into being frozen for a moment, it didn't last long, as she struggled within his grasp, flailing everywhere. For such a somewhat skinny guy, he sure had an iron grip. However deadly Axel's voice was, it was nothing compared to hers. "Axel. Let. Me. Go." When he didn't listen, she volted out electricity from her body, making him go flying backwards. "Is that what it is now?!!! Protecting your stupid little girlfriend?!! You bast**d!!" She didn't even bother to hear what Angel said. When Larxene lost it...she freakin' loses it. It was proven when she turned to him, both her hands with kunais now. Axel groaned from his spot on the floor, rubbing his back from the hit and fall. Axel was not a very patient person, he's known to be short-tempered, a hot head, so it couldn't be helped when his fury started to flare. She was getting out of hand, and he had enough! Setting his body on fire from the sudden burst of anger, he got up, and extending his arms out, summoned his chakrams. "Don't tempt me Larxene. Give me a chance to explain, damn it!!"
"Really?" Larxene laughed sardonically, her fingers crackling with electricty as her kunais made their appearance. "Sure didn't look like it to me!!" Though Larxene was in rage, her mind continued reeling. She knew Angel had some powers somewhere, so she, instead of using lightning, used her physical skills. In a blink of an eye, she charged towards her, momentarily disappearing due to her speed, only to go behind Angel and deliver a kick. Of course, she wasn't going to stop there. She was already going for another strike. OH SH*T! Axel exlaimed in his head, seeing the attack, rapidly making his way. People seemed to get the point of what he was trying to do now, and moved out of the way for him. He mimicked Larxene, and jumped to the stage. He growled to himself, looking at the situation . "I have no choice..." He quickly summoned a wall of fire to stand between Angel and Larxene, halting her from giving any more damage, all the while running to her from behind, as this was where he landed. He roughly grabbed her from the waist, and in a stern and dark, serious voice that didn't need to be shouted to be affective, ordered. "Stop it."
Axel tried to move around the sweaty bodies, wanting to stop Larxene before she does something. But he was right though! She usually talked...well, unless she was absolutely furious. Axel didn't know she would be this angry. What in the world was wrong with her? He glared as someone pushed him, and looked back to the stage top see how Angel was doing, only for him to stare in horror. Larxene walked...no, not walked, practically jumped into the stage. He even saw sparks of electricty. Before he knew it, he found himself running, shoving people out of the way. "She's gonna freakin' kill her!" Larxene narrowe her eyes dangerously as she steadily walked slowly to Angel, a smile on her face, though not a comforting one. This seemed to get the attention of the crowd, and some, making them whisper excitedly about this turn of events. "Now...may I ask, Angel, which you probably be one by the end of this, what were you doing with Axel!?" She roared the last part, sending a shot of lightning. They weren't suppose to use their powers here, but Larxene didn't abide by the rules anyway.
Larxene got sidetracked for a second, rolling her eyes at Axel's display and the airheads that fell for it. But that wasn't what made her clenched her fists in anger, oh no. Not only did he announce "the lovely Angel", she was...was hugging him! "Excuse me," she growled to Zexion and Naminé, marching away and heading towards the stage, ignoring that Axel put one of her favorite club bangers that usually would make her dance. "I should be saying good luck to you," Axel chuckled, hugging her back. He let her go and looked at her with a amused expression. "Don't be nervous. Just make sure you alternate between genres, like hip-hop, rock, dance, slow songs, because they might not like a particular one. That's all." He tried to look around the gym one more time to see if he could spot Larxene. Thankfully, he did, as she was walking towards the stage, and her forelocks were always visible. And she was alone. She didn't look happy though, she was like a jaguar on a hunt. He smirked, however. "Uh-oh, Beast Larxene coming. I'll try to get to her before she does to you, talk or not. Scary either way. See ya."
Knowing this was impossible to talk this way, she grabbed her gently and switched her to her side, and quickly whispered. "I don't know. Just tell him something like...that you already had Zexion as a partner before, and that you're sorry, but you don't want to suddenly ditch him because he was lonely before and stuff. Things like that..." "She won't kill you at first, I know her. She likes to talk to find things out," Axel disagreed, but otherwise shrugged. "Give me one last song to put in and I'll leave." He swiftly stopped the track, while he put the speaker on. "How you y'all doing TONIGHT?!!" he yelled, only to get a booming chorus of cheers. The energy made him smile, before he put his most husky, deep, and sexiest voice. "And are all my sexy ladies enjoying themselves?" The girls practically screamed, cheered, hollered, and shouted "I love you Axel's". He eyed Angel in wonderment, his huge ego getting another boost. He was seriously considering being a DJ as a part time job. "Well then, I'm going to put one last song before I retire to dance floor, and taking over will be our lovely Miss Angel. This is a personal favorite, so keep the party up in this mug!" He pressed play, and soon Timbaland's "The Way I Are" boomed. Nodding his head to the sick beat, he turned to Angel. "You're on. And...thanks."
"Who said I was acting?" Axel questioned defensively, but the look on her face made him resign. He tentatively fingered the headphones that clung to his head, while scratching the record of the beat playing in cue times. He tried to spot her again, trying to see between the now mass amount of bodies dancing. It was really impossible by this time, it was actually club packed. He sighed, turning up the volume more, as the light and lasers flicker and move with the bass. "Fine, fine! You just gotta give me a moment when she's alone, and I'll do it. For real, this time. And you don't have to worry about your life while I'm here. Though if she wants to talk to you alone, just tell her the truth. She'll give you a chance before hurting you since she knows you."
"Depends on what you want," Larxene mouthed again, as they were making their way into the dance floor. "So I guess you wanna be with Zexion? If so, then just tell Roxas. I'm sure he'll understand, he's a good kid."
Larxene shrugged, not knowing what Naminé wanted to talk to Zexion about this time. The other, was about Roxas and dancing, but now she didn't know what the blonde girl wanted. Did she want to be his partner again? Did she want to say something supportive? "What is it?" she secretly mouthed to her, for Zexion not to notice.
Larxene gigled as she caressed his cheek, before hooking his arm together with hers in a friendly matter, and taking him back. She gave a thumbs up to Naminé to tell her everything is fine. "Good boy. It won't be so bad, I heard the food is actually coming in like half an hour. And....," she left the end float ominously for a while, before giving a "Axel grin". "You're going to know how to grind by the end of this night." Axel did a double-take, a look of disbelief crossing his face. "Larxene? Jealous?" he recapped to himself, not knowing to whether scoff at the idea, or take it seriously. Well...that did sound plausible, as Larxene never had a problem with Angel before. He couldn't help as a tiny bubble of hope rose up. He didn't know why either, is not like he likes her, right? He just wanted a date, and she fit his "perfect girl" description closely. "You really think so?
The only things that made me think that Axel did somewhat care for her, is the fact of his actions. Unlike Marluxia, Axel did not go after Larxene, and actually left a spot open for escape, intentionally or not. If she didn't go after Sora (why, Larxene, why?), she would have had a chance to run away. Another scene is when he gives her the card, and when she disappears with her wave of the hand, there's a one moment close-up of Axel looking contemplative for a moment at the spot where she left, before he turns cocky again. I pause on his facial expression, but I can't tell perfectly well what it is. I don't know whether that's mad, annoyed, sad, thoughtful, or whatever :xp:. I'm not good at this. Probably annoyed, sad, and thoughful at the same time? BTW, damn, Axel is freakin' sexy *cough*. And Axel all, but laughed at her death. When killing Vexen, he was gleeful and joked around all smiling. With Zexion, he smirked coldly and watched. With Marluxia, he acted like all men would when fighting another guy. When he mentioned Larxene to Marluxia he seemed serious, and I don't know if it's my Larxelness, I have no idea, but I could swear that I saw a flicker of sadness when he mentioned her name in Re: CoM. Or maybe is my eyes tricking me *shrug*. But otherwise, Axel is a wild card, and is hard to know what's in his mind. Though I wonder what Larxene did when she found out what Axel did, if it was anything close to the manga, cause she already knew by the time she appeared to Sora and Co. If one's not a trustful person, trust is very important to the said individual, as they rarely give it to anybody, and is hard to gain.
Yep, she can touch water normally. She has control over her element and I don't think she's stupid enough to use her lightning when taking a shower xP. I just hope Demyx never pissed her off. Poor thing.
Larxene's manga death pissed me off. She deserved much better than that. Basically, what califa630 said. It was a joke *fumes*. You can tell from the whole comical view point and the way Larxene acted when she was imploding. Is better not to take anything the manga offers that seriously, or work yourself over it. The whole thing was made of stupidity. Which is why I hate that Larxene's death was chosen to make a fool of. I'm sure she had more control of her lightning. And if she can use lightning as her power, then she must have a affinity to it as well. You can't summon lightning and be afraid to get shock yourself, is absolutely dumb. Just like I'm sure Axel can't get hurt by his fire either. In the manga, she got wet on the outside, the whole implode of it doesn't make sense. Getting a bit of some pain from it can work, or having a huge electric short circuit (xP), as the energy doubles, but inwardly exploding from the surge isn't a plausible cause. Is the author's way of fun. That's it. Nothing to put too much thinking over. There's no explanation to it, so we shouldn't make our own. If her death was suppose to be serious, the whole thing wouldn't happen in the first place. What happened to her, should be more of what would happen to Demyx. If he gets tangled by lightning while using his water element, he'll go boom, or fade.
"You do belong there," Larxene argued, placing her hands on her hips. She didn't know why she was bothering so much, she could leave it to Naminé and high tail it to the stage, but Zexion is her friend. Somewhat. And she needed a distraction anyway. "I don't know how you can feel weird. Everyone who matters know you. Just come back, and take it easy, nerd. This is coming from someone who actually reads. What can I do to make you stay?"
I never believed that Marluxia and Larxene were friends as Somebodies. Especially witth that explanation. The only theory I can take is that Marluxia somehow seduced Larxene into it, though even that is taken by a grain of salt with me. I don't disagree at all with what you've said, as it follows the same route I'm heading for. Personally, the whole taking over the Org. was a type of newbie mistake. Marluxia by the time of Xigbar's scene with Zexion, had just gotten in, and Larxene would be next. How long after him, is left up in the air, but they obviously talked when she came. As you explained, they found out they share some kind of goal, and worked together a plan, though I'm sure Marluxia was the mastermind behind it. If they had been longer in the group, their loyalty wouldn't have bended so easily. Besides, I always felt Larxene took Marluxia in respect more than anything, as she didn't act as comfortable with him as Axel, yet held him in high regard. As for Axel, I'm guessing Larxene and him had much more in common, as Marluxia looks to keep a distance, and with that, bonded more quickly. In a way that they can have proper conversations, they know each other enough for Axel to keep warning and reminding Larxene not to break Sora (he must know the way she works), etc., etc. Basically, how they acted around each other. Again, don't want to go much into Larxel. In the game, Larxene looked like she didn't mind him joining, and it was probably Marluxia that told her it would be a good idea to prove where Axel's loyalty lies, hence, the idea of killing Vexen. Now Larxene seems smart, and I'm sure she wouldn't let her own opinion of him get in the way of their preparations. She's not that trustful, after all. Notice how the reactions of Larxene and Marluxia differ when Axel came back from his murder. While to Marluxia it is proven that Axel is in their side and just took it without revealing much, Larxene commented that they didn't think he had the guts to do it, but then acted like she never doubted him in the first place, or like he proved something to her. She went straight towards him, looking all glad, touched him in the shoulder, and practically spelled it out for him in plain letters, with Marluxia gving the tidbits here and there. Barely even. I guess she was naïve to believe that he was honest in it all. But like I said before, it wasn't such a waste. Axel did prove, or rather, hinted, that he did care. In a way. And of course I'll check it out. And you're making me blush xP. I don't know much about Larxene, some are only theories that are derived from the facts or actions given.
