The toes thing was because of the camera. Belive it or not I put a lot of detail into the toes because they always do shots of his toes int eh amine, but I guess allt he detail blended togethor to form a blob due to the shittiness of my camera. The angle is because he's pushing back on the chair and balancing on the wheel. See it now?

Without text ftw. Never lower the opacity of text, if anything it makes it stand out MORE. You need to work on your depth, all the effects you put on it have upped the contrast so high that depth is a thing of legend. Trying playing around with the burn tool plus soft black brush, then cut out places that it shouldn't be with the polygonal lasso tool. Also, add some blurring and sharping layers. Like I said before, try to lower the contrast, and bring out the right eye a bit. Also, if you can, try adding some more color to her skin and hair. (Make the borders skinnier) This is pretty good for not doing anything in a while, but terrible in comparison to how you used to be. Keep consistent and play around with photoshop frequently, you'll be back to your old self in no time.
The first version is better then the second, by far, but it still isn't that great either. The colors are off, and yes I know you said youd idn't have the colors, but a real artist creates their own colors from what they have. The only real advice I can give you is TRY MAKING YOUR OWN STUFF, reference is great and all, but we can't really know how good/bad you are until you try making your own work. All I've seen of you so far is referenced work, and quite frankly none of them are that great. You need to quit being afraid to go dark. Rinoa's hair is dark brown, L's hair is black, Zexion's cloak is black, you've done little more then light gray. You need to try working on shade and color variation, as well as consistency when it comes to detail and outlines. The main reason why the second version is worse thent he first is because the lips look 10x smaller then they're supposed to, and the outline for them is TINY in contrast to the rest of the drawing, where the outlines are thick and dark. You have potential Cupcake, but you have a LOT of work to do, despite allt he lies these people are spewing out.
