Chrono felt a twinge of guilt as Tinarah had mentioned her injury, but he was quick to cast aside those thoughts to focus on helping out Take. The drawings on display for them were well drawn. To the point in which Chrono was able to figure out what the spells were before he glanced down to the names underneath them. He'd known that Take's reading skills weren't as up to par as one would expect them to be, but he didn't fully know the extent of it. When Tinarah had finished her offer to teach him, Chrono glanced once more at the book. Magic wasn't his strong suit and his limited selection of it furthered his limitation on being a magic tutor of any kind. "I don't know how much better of a teacher I'll make, but I can try."

For a brief moment Chrono contemplated whether or not he should tell Take that he did know that example didn't start with an 'x', he didn't want to undermine his friends discovery, but seeing as he simply just cut himself off, Chrono opted to take the easy way out and just nod in agreement. He took the first bite out of his hash browns before answering Take's question. "Mine was okay, just spared with Master Thalassa." He realized he said that pretty casually which was not an accurate representation of what occurred during said sparring match. "I wanted some help getting familiar with my drive form and Thalassa happened to find me on my way to do so." Chrono then took another bite out of the hash browns in front of him before spotting his sister a few seats down motioned for her to come over.

Chrono hadn't exactly come up with anything that he wanted to drink right away, nor after spending a bit thinking on it. He gave Qamar a wave of acknowledgment upon hearing her greet him and turned his attention to Take who had taken a seat next to him. He was a bit surprised to hear that there were packets here for making hot chocolate, but he supposed it didn't seem out of the ordinary for at least one of the masters here to have a taste for it. It was something to make note of at the very least. "Thanks for the heads up. How was your morning?"

It had been thanks to the numerous attacks the others had been hitting Tamatoa with that allowed Kel to roll out from underneath the crab to a more, relatively safer spot. The wielder didn't stay there long for as he moved in for another attack. His fist was alit with flames mid swing of his punch that struck true on the crab's leg. The punch itself did its own fair share of damage, but that blow had left a patch of flames on the leg of Tamatoa that exploded shortly and knocking Tamatoa further off balance. That success had lasted only for a moment as balance was regained and its free claw was used to try and crush Kel underneath him. In turn, he blocked the attack that surely would have caused a mess of pain to him. the impact, however, had brought Kel down slightly as a result of the momentum that was behind it. His guard was still up, but he was no longer in the best of positions to be in when blocking attacks. This had been easily noticed and prompted another attack from him. Tamatoa had raised its claw high and brought it down at what could only be assumed to be a higher velocity than the first attack. Blocking this would not be ideal at all and in fact, it would definitely be the worse route to go about for him. Using what little time that he had, Kel stabbed his keyblade into the ground and formed a barrier. Said barrier not only took the full blow of the claw attack but also bounced the clawback. That moment gave Kel just enough time to use barrier surge in the way it was supposed to by him jumping and crashing into the underbelly of Tamatoa himself.

This time when Kel had landed back on the ground after his attack, the first thing that he did was to back up so that there would be more space in between himself and Tamatoa. Next was to try and way to attack without going up to it and hitting it. A minor set back to using his soldier job that honestly wasn't taken into much consideration half the time. Sure he could just switch jobs, but there was the only one that could be as helpful right now and the drawback to it wasn't one that he wanted to deal with at his current moment. After a few more moments Kel decided to simply toss his keyblade at it from afar. Crude sounding, yes, but certainly effectively when it actually struck as well as when it was guaranteed to come right back to him regardless of whether or not it had hit its mark. In this particular instance, the keyblade had found its target. Unfortunately said target ended up being its shell and the keyblade itself had just bounced off the shell with a faint 'tink' sound. While not disappointed, he'd hoped that the attack would've done more than just simply attach more attention to himself as Tamatoa was now heading his way.

Even with the caution that Gale was starting to exhibit, it wasn't enough to keep him from flinching. On top of that Hector had started to heal himself. "Easier said than done." Muttering to himself, he glances at his spellbook. He would've loved to bring his A game, but for what his a game consistent of his mana was still low for what he wanted to do, not to mention that both of the spells was still on cooldown. It was a relief to see the one he had intended to use originally was still useable. With an outstretched hand, Gale tried once again to fire off a Great Fireblast at Hector.

Trailing behind Nini, Chrono had walked into the kitchen and was immediately greeted by the smell of food cooking. Naturally, he was curious as to what was cooking, not to mention that the smell of food was reminding him that he hadn't actually eaten anything yet. After that match, he had against Thallasa, some food going into his stomach would be a welcomed treat. As Tinarah was currently preoccupied with Master Choma, he decided against speaking and found himself a place to sit while he waited. At the very least, maybe he should use this time to figure out what it was he wanted to drink.

Whatever sleep Chrono had gotten was shortlived, but at the morning rays from the sun found their way into his room, he found it not as bad as it usually was. At least this way he would be able to get an early start to his morning. Chrono's proceeded with showering and putting on a fresh set of clothing before leaving his room and while normally he would've gotten something to eat first, but the events of yesterday were still fresh on his mind. Even if it had been the Light Chaser that they were up against, in fact, that he couldn't come up with any plan in his head bothered him. It was for that reason that he was heading to the training room right now.

"Couldn't sleep?" Thallasa spoke from behind Chrono, folding her arms across her chest. "What's going on in that head of yours Chrono?"

Chrono had stopped and turned when he heard Thalassa speak to him.
"Oh, its nothing really. I had just figured that I should start training physically more." He wasn't wrong, mentally he gets enough practice trying to either figure something out. Take being a Prince of Light was a good example of that.

"Training? Well, it's always good to see a student show some initiative. However, at your level, you would be most productive if you had someone to guide you. Normally I'd go get your master but, if you'd like, I am free if you would like my assistance."

That certainly would be helpful and easily speed up any progress that he could make on his own. "I would appreciate the help."

Thallasa linked her fingers together and stretched her arms out until her fingers popped.
"Well then. Let's get started. What shall we start with for today? Magic? Close combat?" She called her keyblade forth and watched the boy for a response.

Chrono brought out his keyblade following Thallasa doing so. He briefly stretched out his limbs to prepare himself, then returned his attention to Thallasa.
"Magic, more specifically I would like some help on my drive form. I've never actually used it and I would like to have a good idea on what its capable of."

"Hm?" The woman tilted her head. "Well, that's not what I expected but of course. Go ahead and activate it and I'll see what I can spot. I'm not sure how much help I'll be in that area but I'll do my best." She spoke simply.

"Right." Nodding, Chrono had taken up a pretty basic ready stance with keyblade in hand. All he actually needed to do was activate his drive, it couldn't be that hard. He took in a deep breath and concentrated on his keyblade. To him, at first there was no noticeable change, but Thalassa would notice the silver aura beginning to cloak Chrono. He, on the other hand, spotted the golden translucent clock face above his keyblade's hilt. "I guess this is it." He didn't feel any different yet, nor were there any 'sudden burst of power' coursing through him.

Thallasa called her keyblade off seeing as how she wouldn't need it for this.
"Hm. I see. Well, my first thought is time. Stop magic shouldn't be much further from your grasp now so perhaps it might be related to that. Hm...yes. I suppose you must have an affinity for time magic. Given that it doesn't seem like your raw power hasn't increased very much...well it can't be well suited to pure damage."

"That's good to know I suppose, but never used time magic before." Time magic. It made sense when he thought about it and even more so when Thalassa pointed out that it wasn't a raw damage form. He didn't think it was a healing one, so maybe it was more geared towards support. "How would I figure out how to use my drive form. Besides practicing with it." That was a given, but Chrono would at least like a starting place.

"Well if it is time-based, one of the best things for you to do would be to get stronger and learn some time magic of your own to gain insight into it." She chuckled. "Otherwise there's little else to it other than practice as you've said. Even for practice, you don't even need to really do anything. Just activating the form and maintaining it will give you a better feel for it over time."

Part of him was relieved to know that he wouldn't be as strenuous to get familiar with his drive, but he still wanted to speed up the process a bit if possible.
"Gotcha. Do you mind sparring with me then?"

Thallasa called for her keyblade once more and nodded at Chrono.
"Of course. Prepare yourself." She spoke as she readied herself in a battle stance.

Chrono readied himself as well as the silver aura around him intensified. His opponent being a master meant that he would have to be careful about the moves he made. At first, he took a step back and followed that up by casting Thundara at her.

Thallasa raised her keyblade up in the air quickly and cast a Reflect spell which blocked Chrono's own magic and exploded, knocking him over in the blast.
"You're going to have to be more aggressive than that if you're going to make a dent against a defensive opponent." She commented. "My turn." Thallasa brought her keyblade down and with it came a massive wave of water that cut down on Chrono.

Chrono was quick to get back on his feet and barely managed to avoid her own attack. Unsure if he should be grateful for the fact that she wasn't keeping on the attack, but learning that she was a defensive type came with its own share of problems. He took to trying to move again, though this time he had started to float slightly off the ground which had allowed him to skate around. There was no time to react to that small detail as Chrono first sent off a Blade Beam towards her, then quickly moved over to her right side. His keyblade aimed at her once more.
"Ragnarok!" Light gathered at the tip of his blade, before exploding off in a cascade of light all aimed towards Thallasa.

"That's better!" She called out towards Chrono as she swung her blade horizontally, cutting through his Blade Beam and sending the two broken energy waves crashing behind her. She whirled her keyblade about in front of her, spinning it with such great speed the beams of light that blasted out from Chrono's keyblade bounced off and struck everything except her. "Much better." The woman said calmly.

"Stop!" A magic clock surrounded Chrono but when it vanished nothing had happened to him. The woman tilted her head and raised an eyebrow. "Fascinating. But I have more than that." She then immediately cut at Chrono, sending a sharp wave at air at him with a powerful Aeroza spell

The sharp blast of wind had knocked Chrono down following the Stop spell casted on him. He was sure it was cast on him at least, he saw the magic clock behind him and everything. Either way his tactic from earlier had almost worked, he just needed some other way to go about. Maybe if there was another one of him, it could work. That instant a golden clock similar to the one hovering above his keyblade's hilt appeared next to him. The hands made a full rotation before another Chrono was left sitting next to him. Naturally, this caught him by surprise upon realizing there was another him right next to him, as did how it appeared to mimic his movements as he made them.

This gave him an idea that was immediately put into action and it was quickly noticed that the copy seemed to know exactly what to do. The real Chrono had leaped forward and sent a shockwave towards Thallasa upon landing as the copy went skating around her with its keyblade aimed towards her.
"Stop!" This time the real Chrono used his own stop spell, which was a shot in the dark if he were, to be honest. Elsewhere the copy had moved in to attack with Ars Solum, making the success of this spell quite crucial.

Thallasa retaliated against Chrono's copy first but hadn't been fast enough to react to both it and the real Chrono as he cast his own Stop spell. In that instant, Thallasa had been frozen in place for a brief period and when she came to she had been knocked back by Chrono's series of attacks. Bruised but still feeling well, she pushed herself to her feet.
"Haha! That's good...very good." She called off her keyblade and dusted herself off. The woman chuckled as she straightened out her hair."Keep that kind of tenacity in mind and you'll make it far. Well then. I think we're about done here. If you don't mind, I think I'll get cleaned up and check to see if the Council needs me to complete any more tasks for them."

There was a strong feeling of accomplishment following the success of his plan. So much so that he hadn't even noticed that his double had vanished nor the golden clock on his keyblade was gone as well. He did feel a bit wore out, more so energy wise despite the spot where her wind attacked had struck was still a bit sore.
"Thanks for both the advice and the sparring match." His drive was certainly a unique one, but he could work with this. Chrono headed out the room the to training hall shortly after Thallasa herself has left, running into Nini along the way. He hadn't expected to run into her without either Take or Tinarah being around, though she wanted him to follow her. Least that was the impression Chrono had gotten from the way she mewed and tugged on his pants leg.

There had been noticable confusion on Chrono's face as he watched Enzo shake his keyblade out of his pants leg. The first question the came to mind wasn't 'why don't you just summon it like normal?' but instead 'how did you even fit it there?' He realized that it might be better if he didn't actually learn the answer to that and choose to leave those questions in his head. "No, I don't know, but I'll take your word for it." Chrono said, dismissing the current topic right as it was changed. "I don't think so... does this place even have a butler?...there should be a room for you. A vacant room." The need to clarify came as the possibility of him just going into someone else's room to crash arose and Chrono rather it not be his room.

Despite the multitude of attack that struck the crab, it seemed that he was determined to make a meal outta Kaida and most likely Moana as well. Tamota even tanked a blow from Excalibur, barely being fazed by it. Kel quickly looked to AJ who had asked him of any plans of attacks. "Just keep hitting it until it drops one of them, its shell can't possibly be that strong." A very basic plan, but cracking the shell was the closest as anything of a weakness that the crab might have. Unfortunately, this weakness wasn't as obvious as the headless horseman. Kel nodded to affirm this course of action with himself and stepped up to attack again and found that Kaida was not only free from the literal, jaws of death, but also he held on to Beuce's keyblade. While slightly confused, he was more relieved to see that she hadn't been turned into a crab's meal, though it hot on her heels. Its assault was ended by the burst of sound provided by Stratos, causing it to have seemingly lost its balance. At least, that was what it looked like to Kel and he took full advantage of that by charging forth towards the stumbling crab. First a quick change outta his Paladin job and into his soldier job. If his was to just hit it until its shell broke, then he would need power to do so. Power that wouldn't slowly drain him of his strength as he did so.

The moment Kel found himself to be in range, he jumped up and landed right on the back of Tamatoa. Keep his footing was not the easiest thing to do given the sheer amount of gold that was just plastered onto his back. Thankfully Kel did manage to keep his footing and not fall off long enough to deal a hefty 'cross' shaped swing down onto the crab's shell in order to make some sort of a dent. The first strike landed and knocked away some of the gold littering its back. The second strike didn't have as much force to it for the simple fact of the matter that Tamatoahad moved right as Kel had taken a slight step to adjust himself and ended up stepping on some gold that shifted to being right underneath his foot. The keyblade wielder soon found himself slipping off of the back of Tamatoa and onto the ground underneath. Thankfully a fall like that wouldn't be enough to really hurt him, he's been through much much worse, but now he was underneath Tamatoa who was still stumbling about above him. The realization of the danger he was he came when Tamatoa's leg almost came crashing down right onto him. Kel rolled out the way like any sane person would have done, but his initial way of escape was cut off by another leg stepping down right in front of him. He tried to go right and the same thing happened too, essentially keeping him stuck while trying to avoid being stepped on by a crab cat.

Seeing the Flammie appear behind them was a welcomed surprise and Torrin's reaction to seeing it was an amusing surprise to which he couldn't help but snicker at. His snickering was brief as Enzo had spoken to him. Well, fired off a bunch of questions was the more accurate way of describing the interaction. "Okay, I'm Chrono, yes I can use a keyblade and neither of us are princesses." Technically he didn't know that for certain about Illiana, but given how she was in general, Chrono figured it was safe to assume so.

Chrono was actually a bit surprised when Torrin had explained everything regarding Take being a prince of light, but glad that he did as it had confirmed his own speculations. Now that didn't mean he was any less surprised by said speculations becoming true or less confused as to what dictated it. Though neither of those was truly important right now. Take's reacting to the news was what had the higher priority. "This has to be a lot for you to take in all at once, but you don't have to go through it alone." Chrono chimed in. He didn't have much else that he could think to add besides those, hopefully helpful, words of comfort.

Chrono didn't know whether or not to feel unnerved or concerned at the fact that the Light Chaser had already known his name. However, what he said when addressing him had made him feel anger more than anything. "Seeing as you damn near got her killed with your so-called guidance, I wouldn't hold my breath on me ever being thankful for what you did." He fell back to silence when the Light Chaser continued to go around with his 'lessons'.

Once the spiels had ended, the Light Chaser had finally cut to the chase and it had been one he was dreading. His intent was to still take Aria and Chrono's mind still was drawing a blank on a viable way to get out of this situation. Everything he had thought up wouldn't work for a variety of reasons, but the only exception to that would've been using his drive form and even then it would've been the first time using it. By no means the ideal situation for that. His brain never stopped thinking. All he needed was something that could by time as the Light Chaser started moving towards...Take?

Everything had gone white before them before going dark. He couldn't have been dead, he could still feel the odd sensation of darkness around them. Not as bad as when they were in the incredible world, but still noticeable. When the darkness had faded and their surroundings registered in his head, Chrono let out an audible sigh of relief. His nerves started to calm slowly, but only slightly as the new guys, words reached his ears. He knew for a fact that he didn't know about the second pure light in their group as the only person that Chrono told was Boreas. Thinking back to the list he had thought up, he removed Glyde from it which left himself, Tinarah and Take. Tinarah being one was doubtful due to the risk of her dying which left himself and Take. Taking into account the Light Chaser's last actions before they ended up here, Chrono merely looked to Torrin to see if he had an answer to Aria's question.

The reappearance of Ardyn was not a welcomed one and in fact, he groaned moments after he had appeared. That annoyance and the groan it had spawned from was only short-lived as the news of Glyde's death reached them. He was surprised, shock and any anger he felt towards Ardyn was starting to be mixed in as well. His grip on his keyblade was still firm as the crimson blades summoned by Ardyn was aimed at them. If he was lucky, whatever had happened earlier might occur once more.

It did not happen, nor did Chrono become reduced to a pin cushion of crimson blades. A light had exploded before them, blinded both parties while staving off Ardyn's attack. The light faded and Ardyn was no longer standing before them and instead in his place was the Light Chaser. Chrono's heart sank for two reasons, the first being that they were currently faced with the Light Chaser, the man that the council had been taking precautions to avoid facing off with. If the entirety of the council were trying to avoid conflict, then what was it that they, a bunch of students, two masters and a knight could hope to do at this moment. The second was how out of the corner of his eye was Tinarah trying to attack the Light Chaser. He was relieved to see that Illiana had stopped her, but the twinge of annoyance at her actions remained. Chrono knew full well that his sister had plenty to hold the Light Chaser accountable for and he did as well. It had been his student that had kidnapped her and he himself who threw her into the other realm. That had not been forgotten nor would be forgiven til he got his own form of payback. Still despite Chrono didn't act on these desires as it would've been easy it for him to just blow them away and take Aria and leave. Him not doing so must've meant that he was here for a different reason and it was for that reason he too wanted him to just cut to the chase. Whatever it was couldn't have been good and hopefully, it wouldn't keep him from figuring a way out of this situation.

Kel felt some concern upon seeing a bunch of keyblades just lying among the other piles of collected treasures, but decided it was better to not ask about it. The answer to said question felt like it was something he'd rather not know about. Kaida, being the brightly dressed out of all of them, took it upon herself to be the bait to lure out the crab and unlike their wolf friend, he couldn't just throw out some crystals to aid in the shiny. What he could do was to move around and call out his keyblade, ready to toss it as a further distraction if needed.

Chrono had effectively toned out what the horned king next set of arrogant boasting threats due to the simple fact that there had been three of himself going to attack the king himself. He didn't recall ever dodging the attack, in fact, he was pretty certain that he had remained still for most of this. Yet he was completely unscathed from the attack and somehow was attacking him again. He made the smart decision to stop trying to wrap his head around this and attack the king once more. Vice was relatively unfazed by the punch, he stumbled back a bit, but overall stayed standing. The punch wasn't going to be something that he was just going to let happen, but what Arian had said rubbed him the wrong way. So instead of simply punching him back, Vice was sure to grab hold of his collar and swiftly headbutt him. "If he was as great as you claim him to be, then why did he get caught? If you care so dearly about him, then why didn't you stop them?" Each emphasis was aimed at Arian with a sharpness that could rival a knife. "Listen here, you don't know a damn thing about me and I don't care to share a single detail about me to you. Comrades, friends, bonding, all that can easily hold you back." Vice had never been one to back down, didn't matter who they were thus while the sight of his K-9s might've intimidated someone else, it was practically moot against him. "If you have a problem with that, then put that nose of yours to use and get back your precious leader, or better yet show me how much worse than a punch you can do and I'll be sure to return the favor."

No one else had any ideas on how to get across that wasn't walking and Lazuli wasn't all that surprised by that. Even in own semblance had limited uses in this particular situation. In theory, he could use it on Auburn given her smaller statue, but that would be a horrible idea on multiple accounts. "If we're all in agreement, then let's get a move on," Lazuli said, venturing off towards the temple.

"It was his own fault." Vice said bluntly. With the rest of the White Fang either already beaten, having fled, Vice hefted his weapon over his shoulder as he turned to look at his group. "He let his guard down and this is the price he paid for doing so, going after him would just be a waste." Not a single shred of remorse could be found in his voice.
