When the doors had first broken open, Arthur wasn't immediately concerned with what would come through those door. It would likely be yet another person here to deal with the rabble outside. His actions soon stopped as well upon laying eyes on the hell hounds that had appeared alongside the red haired eagle woman. His confidence took a quick backseat to his self preservation, followed by his feet running off in the south-west direction when things literally lit up.
Clearly the sun must've gotten in his eyes and that was why his first shot hadn't done as much as he would've liked. That is why Arthur fired a shot once again and the now lone nearby thug. Attack Roll: 1d20 +5 = 23 Damage Roll 1d6 = 5
Torrin's answer was a fair one, as in there wasn't much else that he could say to question that. There wasn't anything wrong with Torrin talking to her, nor any reason to be against it. He was just curious and not his skepticism fueled curiosity that lead to most of his prior questions. From there Chrono had stayed on his glider at they approached the building and whatever figure was up there. One scream as the fog started to clear and they found themselves looking at a duck. A masked duck at that. Odd, but Chrono assumed that it was because of the whole 'experiment gone wrong' route some hero stories tend to take. "I wouldn't call us fan." Despite Boreas accepting the offer of having his caped signed. Why the cape, heck why any part of their costume? Whatever. "Where were you yesterday anyway, it was kinda hard to miss everything that had happened?"
The instructions were simple enough, but the kicker was learning that Qrow wouldn't be joining them for this expedition. Lazuli took a moment to try and think of what could cause one of the more experienced huntsmen that they had to leave. Perhaps something urgent? If so, would be it something for them to deal with later on down the road. It certainly was possible. Lazuli had settled on that thought for the time being however. Trailing further on this thought track would lead worry and being over cautious. Not that there was anything wrong with being just cautious. At the fork in the road, Blaine had elected that their team take the right path. "Lead on then." He said fairly casually in fact.
The rumor tactic had failed much like he had expected it too, but the concern that Arthur had lied with how things had progressed within the crowd themselves. Right as he had taken a step back away from the group he was eavesdropping on, objects were being thrown, voices raised and not too long afterwards a whole fight had broken out. Admist all of the chaos, Arthur had turned his attention towards one of the nearby thugs and fire a quick shot at him with his pistol Arthur attacked a Thug with his pistol. Dealt 2 damage
Chrono had fortunately been able to keep his balance while listening to Torrin's tale thanks in part to the advice he had been given by Boreas. As for the tale, Chrono was silent as he processed everything. He already knew before that the Light Chaser was strong. In order to do half the things he'd apparently done, you would have to be. To singlehandedly take out a Master and all of their students. It certainly put into perspective the concerns that the council had regarding him. "Protect the light, is that why you've been hanging around Aria lately?" Chrono noticed that, but had no reason to think much of it at the time. "You could've told us if that was the case."
Zephyr had internally groaned after the spider had regenerated its severed limb. Long as they main body didn't regenerate as well, though the battle was still going to be hard. Zephyr found himself standing in the middle of webbing that had missed him, but landed on the ground. With his mobility cut off for the moment, he was quick to form a shield in place of his short sword to block the poison that had gone at him. The poison slid off of his shield and down onto the ground, killing some of the grass at his feet. "Memory Make Wyvern’s Flare!" His arm outstretched and a small flaming wyvern flew around it, coating his armored forearm in flames, meaning that when Zephyr had thrown a punch in the direction of the spider, all of that flames were sent flying off in the direction of it in the form of a much larger wyvern.
Listening in for rumors was not the easier of things to with the people that were shouting. Admittedly it probably wasn't the best of ideas to do so on the outer rim of the crowd, but it was too late to go back on that plan now that he was already here. Any form of information was what Arthur was looking for, specifically anything that he could use to possible turn a profit from or at the very least something that could aid him in his own endeavors.
After wincing at Finlay's much louder than needed introduction, Vallus went back to looking around their new surroundings. It was an interesting change of pace when compared to the broad darkness that had surrounded them for the longest time. He shot a glance towards the named that had been listed on the leader board. Even numbers, probably some form of groups then. The even numbers really only made the groups easier to form for whoever was sorting them.
Zephyr had been the next to act, donning on a matching red mask while flanking the giant spider. It was preoccupied with dealing with Izra which gave him the perfect chance to re position himself. Now standing at the side of the of the beast, Zephyr quickly formed up a shortsword and slashed at the nearest leg. Just as quickly as he had struck, he had already backed away and started moving. This way he could avoid the vemon. It wouldn't work against the webbing though, which is why he remained on guard for any signs of them being shot out.
Speechless, Kel was left speechless as once more the feeling hopelessness had washed over Kel as Hikaru sacrificed himself. The whole while he couldn't do anything stop it and the frustration showed with the way his griped his keyblade. He wouldn't let it overcome him this time, he swore to himself to never allow that to happen. Such an act would be an insult to Hikaru's sacrifice. As his keyblade was still alight from his limit as No Heart approached them. He wasn't able to stop Hikaru, but he will sure as hell prevent No Heart to getting to anyone else. A quick step back and Kel first cast Graviga focused directly on No Heart. That was followed by a wall of Reluctancy and that was followed by a line of seeker mine. That would be the most magic he'd used back to back for a while, but it should be a sufficient distraction as they fled the boats. Kel allowed his keyblade to vanish shortly after his act before turning towards the boats as well. Kel is on the boat for the Native Grounds
"While appreciated, that's not what I meant." Chrono then decided to be upfront with what he wanted to know. "The Lightchaser, you know the most about him out of all of us and I'd like to be more informed about him." They were supposed to be a team and the Light Chaser was their common enemy at this point, any information could prove to be useful to them. "So I'll ask again, what's going on in that head of yours?"
Guess I'll take the Line 3
With his glider being designed similar to a skateboard, least the way he saw it, it made things easier for him to get a general idea on how to ride it. Despite that similarity there was the clear differences in what he could do since he's never actually ridden one before. He had zero intentions to try to kick off the ground to pick off speed while he was in the sky, where touching the ground would probably mean that he had fallen from the sky and he didn't want that. Boreas had given them some advice that was helpful when Chrono put it to practice. Made things feel a bit easier to handle. Once settled, he looked up towards Boreas and Torrin. He still held many questions regarding him and did want to answers to at least some of them. Nothing was happening right now which made it seem like the best time to actually ask some of them. Chrono leaned forward slightly and fortunately his glider did speed up, albeit slowly. His approach to Torrin was in fact slow, but he did get there. "Yo Torrin, for someone who doesn't like secrets you sure have a lot of them. What's going in your head?"
Lumen had no say in whether or not he wanted to be dragged away by Alyse, thus by the time he could object, she had already done so. The guards had just come into view when Lumen felt his arm being released. The young witcher glanced at her, then the guard, then once again her pondering her words. Judging from her standard disposition, trying to take her in could very well be the more convincing way to go about it, which the likelihood he would have to genuinely put in some effort. The safer route however would be to take him in. "Seeing as I don't have much of a choice." Lumen held out his arms towards Alyse, hid wrists touching one another. "Lead the way."
Both Cerdic and the extractor had both taken a hard hits from the darkness, though Cerdic himself had managed to get back into the fight, Chrono's concern was more with the extractor. The orb that seemed to have spawned from it was the perfect indication of something happening and held the most of his attention at the moment. The dark creature seemed more poised to break it now and Chrono resumed his attacks on it to prevent that from happening.
Qrow's timing was a little late as they had already decided it was time to go before Qrow had walked in to tell them just that. Oh well, the end results would still be the same regardless. With his hands in his pockets Lazuli walked out of the room behind the others. He headed back to his room, Lazuli made a quick check to see if he still had everything accounted for. It was and so he grabbed his bag and left to rejoin with the others. The walk there was relatively short and left Noire leading them as the last thing that needed to happen.
The very Kel had tried to move after having been frozen in time, an blizzard spell was fired at him. His instincts told him block and he did so sparing him from most of the damage, but still leading to his lower half being frozen stiff. Try as he might, nothing physical would break through the ice. Thus Kel tried something different, he cast firaga multiple times down on the ice until it had cracked as well as sending one towards also frozen Luna. Cracked enough for Kel to break through the ice through his own strength. "We've gotten this far without sacrificing anyone and that doesn't mean we should start now." With the feeling in his legs coming back to him, he was quick to head off towards the clone of No Heart that had currently had Beuce pinned. Kel quickly made a quick move around to his back and went for an attack. Resonance Blade! His keyblade became a lit with a green glow as it was brought down towards the No Heart clone.
Arthur Rozen the Gunslinger and a very lackluster bio
After chuckling at Aria's reaction to his yawn and his own eating of the pancakes Take had made, Chrono had gotten up and headed outside along side everyone else and was given a glider and keyblade transformation. It was cool to actually be able to do that now, even if there wouldn't be time to well practice. The group had decided that it would be best to bait out the super villains, which was fine and all, but they would have to pose as heroes by again putting on their costumes. As reluctant as he was in doing so, Chrono inevitably walked back to his room and doned on the costume once again. Chrono had stepped outside once again just in time to see Take holding up Nini, who for whatever reason was wearing a cape, as the former had giggled. That's right, Take giggled and it had completely surprised Chrono. "I'll be fine!" He replied to Take, tossing his keyblade up into the air and letting it fall down towards the ground in its glider form. He didn't think it'd be that simple, but it made things easy for him. Getting on board said glider, he flew off behind the others in a moderate pace. Last thing he wanted was to fall off from this height.
