Kel took a few moments to examine the rod that Tron had handed them. Had it not been for the demonstration that Tron had provided for them, he likely wouldn't continued to look at it with a confused look on his face until accidentally getting it to work. A mental note was made before his attention turned towards Sark's team...and the faces that they wore. Xara, Anora, D'daear, and Shapur, all of which he knew though only in three out of the four did his knowledge extent past simply their names. What made all this even more perplexing was the appearance of Xara, who had just been with them for the previous trial and despite not being on the list of partners, was now playing for the other team. "This isn't going to be good."
The giant hole in the rock, the tread marks that lead further into the darkness and lastly, the faint green light that he was barely able to spot amidst the darkness. All of which left the feelings of both curiosity and concern within Chrono. The curious part of him wanted to do nothing more than to venture further in, but the fact that they were down two masters and had only a limited amount of experience gave the concern half some more leverage on the situation. Despite that, he had to still proceed forward otherwise they wouldn't get anywhere. "Like we have much of a choice." Chrono muttered to himself, taking the first steps forward.
The giant sea snake he had seen, given that it would be pretty damn hard to miss something of that size. The other witchers on the other hand was something that he hadn't seen. Among them he recognized Veceslav though had no idea who the other one was. Oh well, that was much of a concern right now as the sea snake was. He was taught to always be well prepared for whatever monster he may come across and he wasn't prepare to deal with something like that. Her remark about his parents caused him to chuckle. It was because a stranger had chosen to talk to him that he was even standing here as a witcher in the first place. "My parents didn't even care about me, let alone who I talked to." He said in a slightly blunt tone. Always happened whenever he mentioned anything involving parents.
Chrono could feel the bonds keeping him in this circle weakening right as Mora had explained that the crystals had been here the whole time. He briefly wondered why that was before seeing that Mora was more fortunate than he was in her struggles and managed to get free before taking off. Chrono could do nothing other than to continue struggling until he felt the bonds once again become weaker, this time weak enough for him to actually struggle out. The fact that Cerdic was back meant that most of the crystals had to have been taken care of already. It didn't take long after being free for Chrono to set off in the direction of the last crystal which wasn't difficult to do so on the account that it was at the very top. Figures that it wouldn't be easy to get. His eyes scanned around for any point he could use to get closer and proceeded to get on the top of the nearest house. Doing so had gotten him closer, but not close enough to just whack it. Pondering this for a few moments, Chrono elected to toss his keyblade at the crystal with hopefully enough force to reach and break it. his attempt was successful as the keyblade struck the crystal, causing it to shatter.
Disregarding being called a plebeian by Kara, whatever it was that had happened in the town square had managed to attract his attention even with this being the first time that he's heard about it. That was primarily due to the involvement of the Royal Guard. It wasn't everyday that you heard about them being in action. Though there was still the issue that Mirabelle had pointed out. It would be no easy feat to get on the scene and beyond the very basic idea of trying to sneak in, which he had doubts would work, Zephyr was failing at trying to think of a solution He may have been quiet majority of the time, but he doubted his own ability to pull that off. That was why he simply asked, "Any ideas on how we could get in the scene?" with that hopes that someone would have something.
Right as the supposed dramatic reveal as to the Guardian of Air was said, another student walked in with what was likely the least friendly expression on his face out of everyone and that was a scowl. The scowl being the primary expression that was seen on Vice's face. Firstly what he did upon entering the room with all of the others that were in the room. Nothing but a general look around as such he didn't pay much attention to the faces bar the Air Guardian and the teachers. And? Just what kind of reaction was she expecting to get? The majority of which were confused as to how it mattered to them, which Vice was kinda the same. though with him it was more mixed with anticipation than curiosity.
Being able to do nothing but sit around, trapped in this circle as they were helpless had long since started to take toll on Chrono and with things finally calming down he started to try and struggle out. Mora had said only a few was needed for them to be able to struggle out and with no way of knowing just how many had been broken so far, Chrono had to hope that his struggling wouldn't lead to him passing out.
The situation with the police officer had come to an end once the door had been closed, allowing for the idea of them to get away from the office to be brought up. Zephyr, not surprisingly, didn't have any ideas himself as to where could be a good place for them to go. He knew of places that he would prefer to go and that was about it. The specific mentioning of the Dragoncrest Plaza didn't sound like a bad idea for their presumed intents and purposes. Therefore, why not just head there. "Dragoncrest Plaza, sounds fine to me."
On his way to the docks Lumen didn't fully know what to expects beyond some sort of monster. People would have the same reaction to a monster of any caliber that had appeared before them, so the lack of them shouting what it actually was wasn't helpful at all. The actually arrival did help to give an idea of what it was he would be faced up against and that was because of the giant the sea that had just risen from the sea when he had arrived. His medallion was vibrating like crazy which wasn't all necessary cause he could still see it. A variety of thought s had gone through his head, the prominent of which was to how he was supposed to handle this situation, the second was that the girl by the fire was the one he saw back at the tavern. Perhaps she would be able to shed some light on all this. "Mind cluing me in as to what's going on?" Was what he asked upon approaching her.
The sight of the cyclist being derezzed before them was more than enough to affirm the risks of partaking, but if they wanted to get the access code they needed to get to Sark and to do they, winning in the arena was the quick and only way for them to do so. It was concerning with the fact that the only vehicle that he's had experience with was his glider and that functioned fairly different compared to the cycles. Geez they hadn’t even been here all that long and their lives were already at risk. This new GM really wasn't holding anything back on them. “If my partner's up for it, then so am I.” Not that he would've been opposed it anyway.

It being a police offer that was asking about this didn't change his point, well it didn't change it by much. Now with this information Zephyr was now curious about the reasons that the officer was here and asking about that kind of thing. As curious as he was, which admittedly wasn't all that much, asking about it would be asking about personal matters. "What do you think we should do?" The final say all this did was better decided by Dylan, least the way he saw it.
And I counter nominate the turtle @KHGrl15
As he thought Dylan would be the one to go open the door and Zephyr briefly caught a glimpse of who it was at the door right as his attention was drawn towards something much more puzzling. At first Zephyr thought nothing about Kara walking towards him and at the time why should he? He figured he just happened to be in the way of the general direction she was going. Her playing with his hair however very quickly broke mold that he wore on his observative face. The blush on his face was a clear indication of that, but it was added by the fact that his body went as stiff as a board. Even if he wasn’t inept at speaking with people, this was not a case where that matter cause it would not help with his lack of skills when it came to women. This was only short lasted for him due to Kara’s request. “R-right.” Now he could work on regaining his composure as he walked up to the door. He stood next to Dylan right as he heard what the guy wanted. “Usually random people don’t come up and ask about those kinds of things and even then it’s still pretty personal.”
First off Chrono wasn't sure just how to feel upon hearing that Alder was still withholding information regarding what the extractor could do. Especially with the grief that he was given before all this. Not that Ria took him up on that offer anyway. Still it irritated him. A lot of things did right now and being trapped in this circle wasn't making any of this better. Seeing Relli suffer the same fate as Xen and Chole, the sight and feeling behind the two were slowly starting to become familiar to him. He sat there as things progressed around him, Mora mentioning five crystals that would get them out of this circle and Cerdic and Daeni going off to break said crystals. "Where did those crystals come from?"
A newcomer had been the new voice that he had heard upon his return. Having another person around would be helpful at times given how few of them that they currently had. There was nothing much for him to not about her at first glance, outside of her attire. Compared to what it was that he currently wore it was a step above for sure. Initial impressions were good so far, she hadn't done anything that gave him any negative vibes or anything to those nature. "The more the merrier I suppose." Was the best that he could come up with in when it came down to a greeting of sorts, though what he said probably didn't even count as a greeting. By his standards it was close enough and that was the important fact. Perhaps he would come up with something else to say while she was conversing with Kara. Elsewhere there had been a knock on the door. Was someone else going to apply or was there something needed of them? Zephyr would find out when someone, probably Dylan, opened the door.
Looking int he direction of the two that Aislinn had mentioned and found that it was Stratos and Hikaru who had gone through that portal. Every other portal had at least two teams had into to in, especially the one that he initially suggested going through. Beuce was dragged in by his partner before the next pair went in. Come to think of it, the last time he's been to a world and was actually able to interact with Hikaru was all the way back in Deep Jungle so it could be cool being able to talk to him again. "Fine by me, let's give them all the help we can." Out of all the places that Kel has been to, this one took the cake in looking the most unique compared to them all. Everything around them was lit up in some way or form, including their attire. "Certainly a set up from Nottingham." Definitely beats being a fox. Kel followed his partner through the stands of illuminated people as she approached Hikaru, Stratos and the one they appeared to be talking to. "Hey guys." Was what he said towards Hikaru and Stratos, then looked towards the other guy and waved followed Aislinn's gesture to him.
It would appear that the answer that he had wasn't quite what Kara was hoping for, which confused him at first given that he had been honest. The mentioning of a sense of humor had done more than enough to tip him off as to what he had missed. Zephyr wasn't quite emotionless or 'lacked the ability to react', but what he was however was out of touch when it came to interacting with people. It was a problem that he was aware of and wanted to remedy at some point, but that would be no easy task. That didn't make him oblivious to things he could physically see, hence his muttering of the word "impressive" as Kara walked off and leaving him to his books. Oddly enough reading didn't seem all that appealing anymore.
Lumen once more nodded at Vecelav's words before finishing his drink, words that were conveniently timed due to the sudden noise that he as well had heard. The older witcher had already gone off to investigate whatever it was that had before he could response to the words of luck he had been given. A small amount of time had passed before Lumen had headed out as well, filled with curiosity as to what was going on and if this was what the Path had in store for him. The noise and subsequent panic outside was much more evident once he had stepped foot outside of the tavern. People were running away from the same direction, some in fact shouting something about a monster. Things had started to become clearer after hearing that, but the picture wasn't complete quite yet. For that he would have to venture there to see this for himself. Lumen took in a quick breath of the cold air before heading to where the people were running from.
Zephyr had just gotten to put his book back on his shelf when someone had started speaking to him. The voice belonging to Kara and to her telling him to not go snooping around through the groceries on the table, he simply nodded and responded with a "Noted". His eyes scanned his bookshelf for anything that he either hasn't read before or felt like reading again. He did this for a few moments before deciding that it was better if he paid attention to Kara while they were speaking. "I heard you the first time and yes, they pretty much are magic and swordfights." There was also the occasional legend thrown in there to spice things up but overall most of his selection consisted of those two aforementioned things. He had already turned to face her before giving his answer. "Anything else you'd like to know?"
