Zephyr didn't really have any reason behind his decision to reveal his name other than he figured that it would be the polite thing to do in this situation. This was coming from the guy who had not only been shunned growing up, but on any other day would've kept on walking back to his destination. To say that he was out of practice with this sort of things would be an understatement. Despite this he had managed to get a name in response, Rigel. He made sure to make a note of said name as he shrugged. "Seemed like the polite thing to do." Once again, he was out of practice. In fact after that very impromptu introduction of his, he had no idea just what to say next to him. In fact his leaving was probably one of the better things that could've happened. Once he had sufficiently gone off, Zephyr sighed and headed back on his way towards Haytham's Investigations. This time he didn't any stops along the way until he was at the steps of Haytham's Investigations, in which case the only stop was to open the door and walk inside. First he saw the groceries on the table. A pleasant sight, one that he had no need to dig through right now. Then came the voices. One he identified as Dylan, the other on the other hand he had no clue as to who it could be. Perhaps it was someone with a job for them or just someone he did know. The latter was probably true regardless of how he looked at it. Zephyr then headed back to the room that he had claimed as his own so hat he could put his book back and perhaps find another one to read.
Zephyr had hoped that the answer to his would be something a bit more...elaborate than what he was given. Admittedly it was probably all the stories he'd read getting the better of him slightly, after all it wasn't like he'd asked if it was a magically enchanted or anything like that. Now that would be a severe case of his stories getting to his head. Nevertheless the answer he was given was a simple one and was followed up by a question. "No, but there are some rare cases." It wasn't quite a lie, he rarely went of his way to interact with random people he saw on the streets. Seeing as he was the one who started the conversation, he might as well have be the one to introduce himself first. "Zephyr. That's my name, figured I might as well tell you."
All was quiet for Zephyr as he focused all of his attention into reading the book that was situated before him. A common trend of his was to find someplace quiet remotely quiet to sit down and read, today spot of choice being a bench. Other than the sounds of your average bystander walking by, which he was used to toning them out. Having about one last chapter to read, he figured that he would head back to Haythams Investigations afterward. A chapter later and Zephyr closed his book and pocketed it. Another book finished meant that he had to find another one to read to keep himself occupied whenever it was that he had down time. It would be helpful for him to form an idea on what he wanted before looking for one, but he could do all that another time. What he needed to do now was to head back. On his way back he happened to walk past a church right as someone else had exited, the person themselves didn't interest him however the sword that they carried on his person did. Weapons, namely swords were something that he had always held a fondness towards. He then approached the man to ask a simple question. "What kind of sword is that?"
Upon seeing everything transpire between Ria and Mora, only one thing came to mind that he could say to her. "Look I don't care what you think about me, but I told you so." Was this the time to be saying that, no. Didn't change how he felt about the whole thing. She had started choking shortly after he had said that which made the timing even worse. The feeling of helplessness washed over him once more upon Marley's body disappeared. This time the feeling weigh heavier upon him due to the memories he had remembered. Chrono has no idea just what Cerdic was planning but he really did hope that the journal actually wasn't hidden off somewhere. It was something that he was still wanted read given that it was the first thing he remembered prior to all this.
And with Master Choma setting off they were left to their own devices. Shortly after Torrin had thrown in his own two cents by telling them to strengthen their bonds with each other. Doing so would make sense, but just how would they go about it. This did not seem like the ideal situation to just suddenly start chatting each other up. Illiana had been the only one to start walking in the direction they were supposed to go and hearing the violin being played, it was clear that Tinarah hadn't gone anywhere yet. He knew not to bother her while he was playing and he wasn't going leave without her, thus he opted to wait until she was done playing before speaking with her again.
At first what Battousai had said was sounding like a decent strategy, one you likely hear in a storybook of some kind of things you'd hear in a fantasy tale of sorts and quickly went downhill at the mentioning of getting drunk. The only way that Veilen could see that working would be if one any of them could somehow fight better while drunk as oppose to while they were sober. A possibility, but did not sound like it was worth the risk. Rayen's fears were understandable, this was a time in which one could loss a loved one in the blink of an eye. "Your sister and your pe-er brother feel the same. It's why were doing all this."
As he was told the tale form the witcher, Lumen did the polite thing and sit quiet while listening to everything that was told to him. What he was told shouldn't have been too much of a surprise when compared to what he had planned to do in general. in fact the hadn't really given it much that as to what he would do upon leaving Novigrad. "That's quite a lot that you have on your plate, certainly more than me. I'm still uncertain as to what I might be doing once I leave." Admittedly he hadn't given it much thought, something that taking into account his primary reason for being here was the rumors he's heard, made sense.
His curiosity as to why the woman was there was answered at the end of her explanation when her identity was revealed. Lazuli never would've guess that there was actually some truth to all the stories he's heard regarding them. It was fascinating to say the least, but there was that small hint of concern as to what this might entail. The sounds of footsteps behind him along with some additional voices indicated that others had recently managed to find their way here, and without the assistance of Qrow he might add. "Just how many more students are you expecting to arrive?" Unrelated to the reveal that had just happened, but something hew as wondering all the same.
Name: Zephyr Siegend Age: 20 Race: Human Nationality: Tyrranean Southerner Faction: Haytham’s Investigations Job: Investigator Appearance: Ora Weapons: Rune Gloves. They had been imprinted with runes that respond by becoming as hard as steel when magic is focused through them. Zephyr uses this as a quick alternative to fighting as opposed to his primary method. Magic: Fire Elemental. Zephyr’s magic works in two distinct ways that ultimately achieve the same end. In one way he can absorb nearby flames and use said flames to fuel his on magic constructions or he can create his own flames and in turn use them. The end result of either of these two methods is the creation of various different sword that he can wield as well as manipulate freely. Both methods allow him to form up to ten swords as a maximum. Religion: While he does believe in the gods, he’s not the most devote follower of them Skills and Strengths: Skilled swordsman, knows how to fight, but amounts to nothing more than a brawler and versatile Personality: Zephyr tends to keep to himself and usually is not the first person to go off and speaking to someone new. Typically has a good handle on his temper, but there are times where his immediate response can and will be to start swinging. He has a pretty low tolerance towards injustice and does step in on most situations. Flaws/Weaknesses: Isn’t one to back away form a fight, especially if someone else has thrown the first punch. At times will just walk off on his own if something catches his eye. He can be pretty stubborn at times. History: Spoiler Zephyr was one of those who were born as Sorcerer gifted with the power over fire, however he’d awoken to these powers at a young age and had little control over it once he started using it. Any small flame he was perfectly capable of controlling, but if he lost focus the flame would soon grow to a point where he wouldn’t be able to control it and started to catch things on fire. Due to the amount of times that this happened, most of which not being intentional, the result was him being shunned by his peers and those around him, while a select few kids around his age had taken this as a chance to bully him. The shunning he was able to cope with by shutting himself away and reading. Bullying on the other hand was met by him physically assaulting the bullies. It did naught to help his current situation, but he cared little about that. They could say whatever they wanted to him, but drag his family into the mix and they would regret it. In the years following Zephyr did beat the crud out of his bullies in the few times he left his home and they tried to see how far they could push their luck, but mainly he spent his time indoors reading whatever book that was either given to him or he could get his hands on. At the at of sixteen however fate dealt him a puzzling hand. His mother and sister had gone out to buy both groceries and some more books for Zephyr to read. With his father being gone for years now his mother and sister's temporary absence left himself as the only residence at his home at the time the an arsonist had decided to target their home. To say that it was lucky that the arsonist had just chosen to engulf their house in flames before leaving in confidence that another family had fallen victim to him, for it lead to Zephyr discovering that he could absorb flames as well as create them. Following this and the hasty removal of all the flames that currently were engulfing his home a need to expel all of the magical flames that he had just absorbed has a rose so he ran from his severely burnt and now crumbling home to an open area with no one around and released excess flames into the air. Anyone who choose to investigate would find his unconscious body lying there. Following the incident Zephyr had decided to join Haytham's Investigations in order to find the arsonist instead of relying on the Constable who were not having any luck in doing so. Kel sighed as well upon hearing the voice on the intercom speak up. It was only the second time that their new GM has spoken to them and he was already disliking whoever they were. This was making him curious as to who their last GM was since they had no interactions with them in any way, shame or form. Comparatively it was still better that what they currently were dealing with, who was intent on making things harder for them. The large and short man who stepped out was unexpected, but given the name and look of the Hub it was understandable that they might run into some other people before stepping through a portal. Other than the name 'Tales of Abyss' briefly popping into his head for some odd reason, not much came to mind as a respond to Felix's question. Fortunately both Stratos and Glen gave an answered that would worked. Probably. "We'll manage, challenging or not." Kel said to Aislinn, eyeing the portals the portals before them. Not really any clear cut answers on where he wanted to go this time. He walked up to the portal that Aislinn had gone too named "The Grid". "How bout this one."
Lumen took another drink of his Rivian Kriek before going to respond to Veceslav. "No reason in particular, just passing through when I heard rumors about this place. I became curious and thus here I am." It wasn't much of a story, but all of what he had said was accurate. It was truly nothing more than a whim that had cause him to head here. Normally Lumen wasn't a man of whims, but there were even times he had to see things for himself. Which is saying something given that he's a witcher. "And what about you? Unless your search of work was your reason?"

There are some exceptions to this in which he becomes much tolerable, namely in regards to people that have either earned his respect or beaten him. Which is one person as it stands. Appearance: Vice Bio: Weapon: Gojo Crusher Other: His name comes from a mix of Vanilla and Ice and is based off of Mushashibo Benkei thus why his weapon is named off of the Gojo Bridge in which Benkei stood guard on.
With Ria now gone and Kara still sleeping, there wasn't a whole lot for Chrono to do at the moment. Talking to Alder was an option and if not for all that had occurred prior, he might've done just that. As of right now however he did not have much to say to the only other person who happened to be awake right now. First he had heard Marley's voice, next he saw the group surprisingly being lead by Cerdic of all people. Chrys was missing from said group, hopefully a sign of him just lagging behind. Then came the onslaught of questions from Cerdic, some he did know the answers to and some he didn't quite know how to answer. Chrono held up his hand in which four of his fingers were outstretched. "Dunno, some dark circle that's keeping us stuck here, she collapsed and has been stuck like that and yes, Chole and Xen are dead." There was a slight paused as he gave the final answer, the scene in which they had died came rushing back to him. Each finger went down as each answer was given and nothing was said when Cerdic had brought up Aevum. "They vanished into the shadows, probably watching from someplace near."
They were in agreement, which was good taking into account that they were partners. Before he could say anything else, someone had had materialized in the room they all were in. A hooded figure that hide away all ways of identifying who they were. If they had given up their identities as their cost, but what had the rest of them lost as their entry fee? It was still something that was unknown to them. "Oh, that's Base. He's been with us for quite some time prior to this." Kel never really interacted with Base all that much outside of small occasions when everyone reconvene in a world. Still he did know him and it was nice to see him again.
Lumen couldn't help himself as he chuckled as the barkeep called him 'the cute one'. It wasn't often that that occurred, in fact Lumen could count the times that it did on one had. With exactly one finger. "Flattery will get you no where." Not that he really cared about his appeared , but why not play along. He grasped the mug that held the cherry brew and took a swallow of it, after which he did of course pay for it and a little bit of a tip. He was feeling generous after all. Briefly his attention was on the woman who had walked out with a man in tow. He would've thought nothing of it if not for the mace that the woman had to her side. It would be easy to tell if something happened if one of them came back, namely the woman and if there happened to be blood on the mace. Upon leaving his sight, his attention went back to the witcher who sat next to him. "Lumen Arkadian is the name." Of all the people that he could've meant upon deciding to head to this tavern, Veceslav was not of them. In person this was his first time ever meeting him, but it wasn't the first that's he's heard of him thanks to all of the stories that he heard from his former teacher.
Whether it was because of he was too preoccupied with looking around at the time or he simply just wasn't paying full attention at the time, but shortly after sitting down the vibrating of his medallion was all the more noticeable to him. That realization didn't affect how he would act though for there was no reason for him to actually do anything for the time being. Beside order himself a drink. "Some Rivian Kriek will do." Lumen answered. "Quite the place you have here." It was his attempt to make small talk following his eyes just glancing around while he waited.
Early Afternoon, at this time there was a handful of things that Lumen would be doing. Sometimes he would be resting or lounging about, other times would have doing some form of training in an effort to either maintain or further sharpen his skills. Today what he was doing was more in line with the former, more specifically resting. It had only been a few days since he had arrived in Novigrad with not much that he needed to do for the time being. That was the case until he had started to hear rumors about a tavern located in the slums. At first he paid it no mind, brushing it off as just a one off thing that the people here spoke about. His hearing about them was still infrequent, but he certainly still heard about it from time to time. It was starting to sound like someplace worth checking out and thus here we are now. Lumen had traversed his way both into and through the slums while his eyes kept a look out for the tavern. When his eyes did find it, he both walked up to it and entered. Lumen didn't say much when he did walk in. He just walked up to the bar and took himself a seat there. He took note of the few amount of people that were around, doing so in a way that wouldn't attract too much attention to himself. They're weren't many, similar to the amount of people that he had overheard talking about it and certainly made since in that regard.
Nothing about what Ria had said left a particularity good taste in his mouth. Despite hearing that the others were nearby, it didn't do much to alleviate this feeling of his. For all he knew this could somehow play right into Rias plan and Chrono could only hope that that wasn't the case.
