Arian was the one to get the main focus of Qrow's wrath, which was fitting taking into account how they had been the one start it. Watching Qrow's response brought about a chuckle from Lazuli. He would've tried to hide it, but figured that he was too preoccupied to notice. By the time Qrow's attention was aimed at himself, his chuckling had ceased. "Aye, aye sir." Now as for Ozpin, his demeanor was that was clearly different than Qrow. Their taunts towards him aside he got that feeling from the way he'd addressed them. "Stories and rumors yes, but that'll all they will amount too." Outside of those stories and rumors, he'd never thought much on any of the guardians. Lazuli glanced in the direction of the woman Ozpin had briefly looked at, curious as to why she was here.
First came the feeling of satisfaction upon seeing the 'mission complete' appearing on his keyblade, then came the shock of seeing his hand go all digital before they were set away from Sanfransokyo and to somewhere else. Everyone else had appeared to arrived here as well as the 13 of them were the only ones in the room. The voice who had suddenly started speaking to them had mentioned that their former proctor was pulled from their job, which potentially meant that this was their next one. If that was true then it was a bit concerning to know that. Numbers had appeared on the screen and Kel at first looked at them with some confusion as to what they meant before taking another look. His second look through was focused on the one grouping that had a line with only 3 numbers. If this was how they were to find their partners then that was probably him. The benefits of having only 3 letters in his name. He went back to try and solve who his partner was when they had approached him. This time he would be grouped up with Aislinn. "I'll be counting on you to watch my back as well, we are partners after all." Kel said at first. He didn't like the sound of their current proctor nor the idea of what might be waiting them this time. "If he is deliberately going out of his way to kill us, then we'll just have to keep an eye out and support each others as partners."
Code, Moral High grounds, both were things that Vallus had some familiarity with and a small form of dislike towards them. Having them was all fine and dandy, but there were times they just got in the way of what needed to be done and in turn potentially lead to nothing but regret from those who failed to act because of those morals holding them back. This role was one that suited him much better. At the end of Lea's speech the first person to speak was the newcomer, Kiara. Her response was along what he would expect since it would've been a waste of time if the newbie that they were waiting for had been the first to opt out of this role. "I swore an oath on my sword that I would never run away or let anything get in my way again and I intend to keep it."

Master Choma's words were not ones meant to inspire confidence in them despite the current situation that was placed before them, but more of a grim reminder of the situation. The discomfort that had arisen when Takehiko had asked about their homeworlds had returned when Master Choma had mentioned it. There was a reason why he choose to think about that as little as possibly. He didn't want to have to add worrying abut the state of his home world or he well being of his father to the list of things that flew around in his head. One of the last things that they were told from him was that he would be leaving them to find the other Masters. It wasn't quite encouraging to hear that they would be down a master from here on out, but if they could end up with some more help as a result, then it was at least worth a shot. "Master Choma." Chrono started, pausing briefly to look towards Tinarah who had run up to stop Master Choma from leaving. "I just wanted to thank for looking after my younger sister." It hadn't even been that much time since he told Tinarah that he would thank him, at the time though he didn't think that the master would be leaving them for some time.
Chrono going the Hp route
Preferred Username: Moksha Name: Caligula Age: 1547 Race: Humanoid Demon Appearance: Ora! Powers: Caligula wields the power to manipulate shadows to twist them to various shapes and forms to match his current desires. Primarily this is used to call forth his familiar Umbra and either a mass of shadows figures to act as cannon fodder. He can also choose to arm the shadows with basic, yet weak weaponry such as shield, spears and swords as well. Pet/Familiar: Umbra (see the demonic looking thing in the character image) Alignment: Demons Personality: Caligula claims to love humanity, although his definition of "love" is much different than one would assume. What he specifically loves about humanity is the unpredictability of human nature, and he greatly enjoys putting people in enjoyable or chaotic situations in order to observe their reactions. History: When the demons had launched their invasion, Caligula was faring betting watching the humans react to the situation without their magic. The ones that he would dare consider smart fled as far and as fast as they could from their inevitable fates, but that was a bore to him. Then there was the few that he could consider to actually have guts. Those who stood against their fate and attempted to fight, watching their struggles as they fought to their dying breath. Their plight brought a smile to his face. Other: Another demon has entered the fray

Survival of the fittest was something that Lumen was taught at an early age due to his parents abandoning him on the streets and effectively making his life a living hell for the early years. Days went by and each one was a struggle to survive, but Lumen had too much tenacity to simply die here and fortunately for him, it was the same tenacity that had caught the attention of a witcher from the School of the Griffin. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate that Lumen was found by and later trained to be a witcher by a witcher depends on who you ask, but he'll always see it as something fortunate. having someone free him from his life of abandonment and giving him a home of sorts was what he was more concerned with. The years of training was hard, but compared to what he had been through before, it wasn't anything that he couldn't handle. Time had passed and all this had taken a turn for the worse. Shortly after his training was finished he had received word that his mentor, the witcher who had practically raised him, had been killed. The new wasn't what the surprise was for in this line of duty, death was a common thing to those who were careful, but the circumstances around it. A lot of things didn't make senses to him and no one seemed to have any answers. In fact they all just played it off like nothing had happened. What are your weapons of choice? Steel Shortsword, Silver Longsword Who is your puppeteer? The one, the only, Moksha
Kuro followed behind his partner and her boundless energy while keeping an eye out for anything that stuck out or looked suspicious to him. Like a strange looking girl heading down an alley. That fit the bill 100%. "Hold on Blake, I saw someone head down that alley." Said person could easily be further down the alley now so they didn't have a lot of time to waste. Kuro was quick to start heading off in the direction that he saw the girl who headed into the alley enter .
When Tinarah had started speaking, Chrono remained silence as he wasn't sure just what to expect. There wasn't much of a noticeable change in his expression that would give off any hints of his being upset unless she looked towards his hands. What were once open palms and quite relaxed were now clenched fists that grew tighter with each passing second he heard more about what had happened to her. He couldn't completely fault her for going off on her own for in a sense it was similar to what he had done himself and when he had left, one of the last things that he thought she would do was to leave her room, let alone their home and homeworld. Silence had fallen over the two at the end of Tinarah's story and lasted until it was broken by a sigh. The sigh serving as a way for Chrono to slightly calm his nerves cause well...he was quite pissed off at what he had heard and part of him really wanted to get even with them. "Remind me to thank Master Choma then." After everything that he was just told, that was one of the few things that he could think to say to say. Plus with it being the one main thing that he wanted to ask her that he hadn't either already done so or has been answer in some way, shape or form.
A lot of things had happened while Veilen was looking around and honestly half paying attention to what was important. He'd caught parts of what was being said, enough to know that the dead sounding girl wasn't all that keen on the idea of helping them in their quest. It was only a matter of time before they came across someone who actually didn't want to help them. Then there was the mentioning of dragons, which honesty sounded like a cool thing to see despite how hostile they were now from the sound of things. "Do you think that anyone will actually help us? Or is this really a fools task? Will I have to watch someone else die?" "Hard to say, not everyone is ready to 'leap to arms' at the notion of getting magic back" The fact that just about ever villager here was in some form of depression was a solid sign of that. "But there's probably some other people who might help, somewhere." Oddly enough Veilen was kinda serious in his response, it may not have been clearly noticed due to his choice of words, but he was.
While waiting along side the others chosen to be a part of the landing party, Allec started to look over his weapon that he had taken with him. Ammunition was good and the weapon still looked to be in fine condition. Though that wasn't much of a surprise given that it wasn't the most well used weapon of his. Still he didn't allow for that to be a reason for him to slack off. With the sheer amount of training that was drilled into his head, it would be for him to do that. His time was occupied next by a series of breathing exercises as a way to re familiarize himself with the breathing patterns he would need to take if the need for him to use his rifle should arise. He couldn't help but to find it odd as to how quickly he was to get used to doing these kind of things.
When the light from the keyhole being sealed had faded, Kel had expected things to be business as usual, instead now he was able to see everyone else who had been in the UG this whole time. "That's good that they finally stopped working, it would've sucked if the effects had gone on for any longer." Kel too simply added on to the lie that Kaida had started with the hopes that Hiro would buy that as the reason for why 4 more people had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
The sight of both the masters being knocked out of the sky was not a promising one, nor was the giant hand that had struck from the sky. Despite bracing himself against the shockwave, he still felt the force of it as he was pushed back as a result. In a matter of moments things had gone from bad to worse for them with any chance at victory they had quickly dropping. "Just don't get yourself killed!" Chrono shouted towards Torrin. He may not have doubted this abilities to be able to handle himself, but an injured man could only do so much in this kind of situation. He was grateful to see that Tinrah had gone ahead to the portal, giving him one less thing to worry about. Chrono was next to head towards the portal. There was a faint pain in his heart over the fact that everyone else on this world was basically condemned to vanish along with it, but there was nothing he could do. No matter how much that he wanted to and this wasn't the first time that he's experienced this feeling. The sound of crying brought Chrono to his sister who was sitting off by herself. "Here, you forgot this." He held out their mom's violin to her. For the most part it was in the same condition that it was when she had first given it too him, there was a few small scratches on the case but it wasn't anything that would damage the violin inside. Chrono waited a bit for her to take it from his possession before speaking once more. "Just how did you get those scars on your wrist and I want the truth."
"And just what was that 'tantalizing hypothesis' you mentioned?" Chrono asked speaking up. Each time Ria turned his attention towards him didn't do anything but add concern to the wave of emotions that were surging about within him. Just why was it him in particular that seemed to be getting the most attention right now. There had to have been something else that he was missing, but once again he knew naught what it was.
Lazuli couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow when Qrow had arrived to escort them. Part of him found it odd that someone had come down just for their sake, but then there was the case with the faunus boy and how he didn't know where to go. Qrow's actions made some more sense once he recalled that. "He could always be impatient, or both." Lazuli paused briefly after saying that. "Yeah, I'd say both." A smirk formed on his face hearing what Aalis had called their fourth and still unnamed member of the group that had been formed. "Perhaps we should make Liar Wolf his unofficial name." Despite how much he tended to go with the flow of thing, being the one to prod others had its merits of providing entertainment, especially if he was just simply joining on what someone else had started. The potential risk in doing something like this was a factor was rarely fazed him.
The large barrier that surrounded had caught Zephyr by surprised when they had arrived back at the academy. The entire school was encased in what appeared to be an impassable wall, which was proven when Dana tried to go through it and was shocked. Things were starting to make sense as a result of seeing this however. If no one could get in or out then only the ones out beforehand could really do anything. It also meant that he couldn't get his leg treated unless he found someplace in town to do so. "Doctor Stein, just what is all this?" Zephyr asked as he approached him, being careful not to put on muhc pressure on his injured leg.
"Not that I can see." Kuro said. The explanation that he had gotten from Stein about who Malik was gave him some insight on who Malik was and being that he wasn't looking for any specific information on him, what he got was good enough for him. From what he could tell from his looking around, there wasn't anything that Kuro could see that would count as 'out of the ordinary'. "We probably won't find anything if we just stand here looking around, we might need to start walking around some more."
I shall take the 10-11 slot
Despite the pain that he was just put through, the pain that still coursed through his body, Chrono had a defiant look on his face aimed right at Ria. Once more some memories had flown back into his head in a less painful manner than before. A lot of things had become clearer as a result of the memories he had gotten, none of which however left any pleasant feelings in him. "Do your worst, I'm not backing down anytime soon." Hidden behind his words however was wonder about what Ria had just said and whether or not he should believe him or not. After what he was just told and remembered, he wasn't quite sure.
