The Microsoft giant staggered as a result of all the attacks that had endured, briefly giving off the impression that the keyblade wield ears (and Baymax) attacking it had done some severe damage to its current structure. While in a sense that was the, the lastest surge of microbots gave off a different impression as not only did it grow a second limb, but another sword as well. This time the giant was done playing around with them. Despite how intimidating that this all appeared, it did naught to stop Kel from flying in closer to the giant. With two swords in hand he would have to take even more care to not get hit by either of them. His first act was to strike the left arm of the giant and then launch a firaga spell at the right arm before flying off to put some distance between the two of them. Hit and run would be his primary tactic for their time being. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots 678,000 Remaining
AJ's attack's had allow Kel to get back onto his glider and put some space between himself and the microbot giant. Any further attempts at attacking close rang would have the same risk that Kel would now have to be mindful of. He didn't immediately go back in close range though, instead with an outstretched arm, a stream of lightning was sent towards the giant. It may not had been the best, but he could briefly stick with long range attacks via his magic. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 595,000
The giant was not too pleased with AJ's continued attack and had turned its focus towards him, granting Kel an window of opportunity that he very much so took advantage of. He swooped in on his glider and started to take away chunks of the giants side before backing off before a counter attack was made. For brief moment it looked like progress was being made once again. Then another surge of microbot came and took the place of the area he had just damaged. "Oh come on!" There was only so many times that that could happen before he got tired of his progress being reverted in one instant. "Not quite, but we can still manage! " He knew that Kaida and the others were doing their best to keep the microdots from reaching overwhelming numbers, the least that he could do was to deal with the ones up here as quickly as he could. The giant briefly turned its attention away from AJ and swung its sword towards Kel. Its sword clipped the bottom of Kel's glider and caused him to lose his balance. Had he not caught the edge of his glider he would've fallen right into the Microbots down below. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 679,000
The closer that Kel got to the now fully formed giant, and apparently fully armored and armed as well, the harder this appeared to be. It was already going to be hard enough, but now it could form into a suit of armor with a sword. Here's hoping to the sword being easy to cut through. The microbot giant turned to face the keyblade wielder having noticed his presence and was not to happy with him being close to it. Its hands tighten up on the sword, raised it up and slashed it down towards Kel. Despite the size of well, the entire giant, the blade went down towards him at a surprisingly fast speed. Fortunately Kel managed to avoid it despite that brief moment of surprise. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 728,000
One final blast from firaga from Kel had managed to give him some breathing room away from the mass of microbots underneath him. At first he thought it was because he'd gotten out of whatever range they could reach him, he was now flying through the air on his glider now after all. That wasn't the case unfortunately as one spot in particular stuck out to him. More microbots seemed to be amassing there, a lot more in fact. The singular spot continued to form and amass together, gradually becoming one singular being. A massive microbot giant. Seeing this, Kel felt as if all of the progress that he'd made earlier had just been erased. It wounded his soul to think about. No rest for the weary though as he headed towards the microbot giant. "If there's a chance we can get some more answers, then I say let's go." Chrono declared. naturally finding Mora's parents or the other villagers would be a good thing, but Chrono was more concerned about the prospect of getting answers. Nothing sounded familiar or rang any bells in his head out of anything that was said, but hopefully something at the sanctuary would remedy all that. Least that was what he was hoping for.
Now being in the open air and not above a sea of microbots that were determined to either knock him down or trap him within was a refreshing feeling. A short lived feeling seeing as there was still the current matter at hand, but refreshing during that short period. His being the air made it much easier for the microbots to try and target him by firing off multiple spikes at him. This prompted another dodging game between himself and the microbots, but this time he was able to fight back by shooting firaga's at the spikes that got closer than needed to him. Unfortunately he lacked the magic capacity to keep him this trend. At some point he would need to stop using magic so that he could recharge and hopefully not get knocked down in the the microbots down below. The massive sea of microbots was now trying to enclose around him, something that was more than enough for Kel to pick up the pace on his glider and fly, er, surf faster atop all of the microbots. This had put him in a race against time for the mircobots around him also sped up their entrapment process. It wasn't long before he was surfing within a half pipe of microbots towards a single point of light at the end of what at this point was now a tunnel. His surroundings continued to get both darker and smaller, a clear sign that he was running out of time to reach the exit. Suddenly he'd gotten an idea, a long shot, but as good as a shot as anything else he could've come up with. Kel held out his hand behind him and fired off a Firaga. The resulting blast served to both propell him out of his current situation to the much more open sky above the microbot sea, as well as take out another chunk of microbots. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 676,000
Instead of returning to the old pattern of dodging and weaving through the pillars that were being formed to stop his progression, everything was relatively calm underneath him. Things were gradually getting steeper, but otherwise nothing was happening. It was odd and pretty unnerving given what he had just gone through. Being unable to shake that feeling worked in Kel’s favor for it caused him to look around and notice not only that the see was not only was the sea still slowing getting steeper, but it had started to rise up and slowly close around him. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 706,000
Kel was fully prepared to have to think of some form of last second method to avoid the massive wall of microbots when another keyblade had flown by and saved him the trouble by making an opening to him. Now having a path to get through, he lept through it with his glider and landed on the other side. Once back on the sea, he noticed that AJ was flying along on a glider of his own. He didn't think that he knew how to turn his keyblade into a glider, but he wasn't going to complain. There were more pressing matters to deal with while still on this sea of microbots. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 736,000
What was just peacefully surfing over the microbot 'sea' now was quickly dodging all of the pillars that was being thrown at him in order to hinder his progress. The first few pillars were dodged with relative ease, but when they started appearing more frequently after one another it became a whole different ball game. No matter how many of them that he managed to avoid there would only be another set waiting for him. Dodging the more recent set, Kel found himself pitted against a wall of microbots. With it being too wide for him to go around, he would have to jump it. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 796000
For a few moments Kel actually thought he was fairly safe surfing on the wave of microbots, it was a bit odd that he felt that and yet so far none of them had made any attempts to hinder him or knock him into the swarm. In fact Kel looked down to what might as well been a sea of microbots underneath his glider. There was significantly more than enough for them to try and find someway of stopping him. Kel turned his attention up away from what was underneath him and up to what was in front of him...at what was possibly the best time for him to do so. If he had waited a bit longer he would've crashed head on into a pillar that had emerged from the 'sea' underneath him. He managed to dodge it in time, but another five more appeared along the way. Next time he would keep him mouth shut about things not getting in his way. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 853,000
He may not have needed the money, but he certainly wasn't going to turn it down. Despite the raised eyebrow look he gave him hearing why it was that he could the the money, he merely shrugged before pocketing it. Now as for his lie, unfortunately for him Lazuli has experience in seeing through lies, thus it was pretty easy to see through the one he was just told. However he wouldn't call him out on it, in fact he would actually go along with it. With a slight smirk he nodded. "Yeah, I know where it is." Suddenly another voice had entered the fray and Lazuli turned to see a girl in their now forming group or sorts. Lazuli didn't add much to her 'inspection' of the faunus. He did however stand idly by as he awaited to see how this turn of events would go. After that he would speak to throw something into the mix.
Shortly after he had made a dent in the large mass of mircobots, the hole was repaired and the microbots had set their sights on him. In what was the equivalent to a giant wave crashing down upon the land, the mircobots did just that towards Kel. The latter did his best to get away before being caught in the tide. In that regard he failed, but fortunately he managed to turn his keyblade into its glider form and started to surf on the mircobots. That's right, he was surfing on them which was also destroying them in the process. A solid plan for the time being so long as he could keep his balance and not get knocked into the swarm underneath his glider. Kel destroyed 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 883,000
Kel blinked upon hearing Hiro's first plan and the massive swarm of microbots that Callaghan had at his control. No matter how he looked at it this was going to be a very long and painful battle no matter which angle he looked at it. Hiro's second plan on the was much better. "I'm going to be counting on you for that Kaida." His first action after that was to toss his keyblade at the massive swarm of Microbots and see it...actually take out a fair amount. Well that was certainly a good thing for all this. Kel destroyed, 30,000 Microbots MICROBOTS REMAINING: 913,000 @Glen
As the two of them started to head away from the manor, Chrono took note of the shining light in the sky. Amidst all of the darkness that was surrounding it, not only did it stick out like a sore thumb but did it serve as a beacon Chrono looked down towards Tinarah to see if she had noticed it and found her...scars? It was scars that were on her arm. The first thing that popped into Chrono's mind was were did these scars come from. Right before he could ask, she'd run off to help the man from earlier. "Tinrah, wait!" If her plan was to damn near give him a heart attack, then she succeeded. He wasn't just going to up and leave her with the guy who had just threatened them with their keyblade. Not a single thing about that was good at all. With violin case in had, Chrono went after Tinarah and grabbed hold of her wrist once he'd caught up with her. "If he wasn't lying about the heartless, then we don't have time to waste with healing him." Not to mention he didn't trust this guy at all. He couldn't care less what happened to him, but was much more concerned about getting Tinarah away from the potential threat he still was.
The next sequence of events had left Zephyr pretty damn confused. Everything from the zombie actually being a former teacher of the DWMA to them have to abruptly return, which he wouldn't be able to do at the quickest of speeds due to the injury in his leg. "I guess we don't have much of a choice." Hopefully they would get some answers from Stein once they were back at the school. "And Malik is?" That was the first thing that Kuro asked upon hearing what Stein had told them. The tone of worry was surprising to hear form him so whoever this Malik person was, they couldn't have just been some random student or student that had gone missing.
By the time that they had finally arrived at the settlement, Veilen had gotten tired of all the walking that it took to finally get there. It was less so that his legs ached as a result of lack of muscles, with all of the training that he had to do over the years, that would be surprising to him if that was the case. It was more the lack of a break, which given what they going to the settlement to do made sense, but it still sucked regardless of that fact. Once they were inside the settlement, he started to look around at everything that was situated around them.
All this waiting around was starting to bug Vallus. It wouldn't be as bad if there was at least something for him to do while he was waiting as opposed to standing around and waiting. Not exactly his favorite way of passing the time. Despite this Vallus continued to be silent while tapping his finger away on his arm. The finger tapping died down around when he heard the sounds of footsteps, finally they would be able to make some progress. "Figures that the grandpa would take his time." He briefly looked in the direction of the newcomer before turning his attention back to Lea. As it stood right now he had little reason to think of her as anything beyond another misfit.
Through the streets leading to Beacon Academy, a blue haired youth was whistling without a care in the world. He'd only been in Vale for a year and hadn't really planned on attending any schools for the foreseeable future, but the letter than he'd gotten was incentive to do otherwise. It seemed interesting and therefore was more than enough reason for Lazuli to go and check it out. It didn't take much to get him to go along with anything really so long as there w as some form of interest behind it. Lazuli rounded a corner and caught sight of some guy tossing some paper of the guy. A closer look revealed that it was a faunus who had thrown the paper away. If not for the fact that they were completely oblivious to this fact, he would've left them alone. Figuring that he should probably make sure that he was aware of that fact before someone less fond of faunuses came by and robbed them blind. Lazuli then walked up to him, picked up the hundred lien and said "You do realized that you dropped this." The money was currently being held out towards him while he awaited a response.
