The black and white thorns had come as a surprise to the scythe wielder, but he was ale to avoid them fairly easily. The same couldn't be said about the little boy and his mother, more so his mother. While Neoph had arrived and saved the kid, the mother was slain right before his eyes. While on the outside he appeared to have not been moved at all by the sight, on the inside though he was actually quite angry. Not being able to prevent the death of the child's mother reminded him of hos he was able to do nothing as his entire clan was cursed. His grip on his scythe had tightened as Zeal once more charged at the nobody. The difference was that instead of attacking its legs once more, he used his scythe to vault up towards the nobody's face. "Eat this!" With a hefty swing, he slashed across on it's face.
So far the fight seemed to be going well for them, in fact Tessa countering the energy attack that the suit of armor had sent towards them. Following up the next two attack, Zephyr shifted his Blue Flame Armament - Balmung into Blue Flame Armament Clarent and attacked with it.
Level 6 baybeee With both the goblin king and its summon being defeated, there was no more reason to be out on the battle field. Thus shortly after the fight had ended, Mordred vanished from the battle field, his purpose for being summoned having been fulfilled. The remaining Goblins around them didn't appear like they wanted to fight and <Chrono> didn't have any reason to fight them so he just left them alone. Another person among them had congratulated them all before saying something that pertained to whatever guild the man was a part of. <Chrono> stopped listening at that point, but he did think that heading back to the town was a good idea. Getting some more consumable items and other such items for potential emergencies was a good idea.
So at some point while Drake was talking to the village people, Gale had noticed that both Veera and Flame had gone off somewhere so he decided to go see where they went. At the time he decided to do thing, Drake looked like he could handle the situation on his own thus there shouldn't be much problem with him going off on his own.
"I picked it up off some rich dude after we beat him, though maybe he was a Celestial Spirit Wizard." After waiting around for a bit, Zephyr put the key onto the table in front of them before continuing his response to Alessia. "I've seen it work so it isn't broken, though last time she appear was of her own free will I guess." Mikasa had finally gone off the deep end and it was time to literally knock some sense into her. So Veilen attacked with Binding Strike. "I guess let them find out for themselves." Leo answered. While he didn't really mind telling other people, he wasn't exactly to type to do so and Silvia definitely wasn't so letting everyone else figure out was probably the better option suited to them. Story Time I guess Story/Prince Leo did whatever he was supposed to be doing at this point, assuming that he was supposed to be doing something right now.
Kel's consciousness had faded once he was completely engulfed by the ink. When it returned, he found himself locked in a cage. Certainly not where he was expecting to end up to be honest. Kel took this chance to look around and see just exactly where he was. It was a lab of sorts. Being locked in a cage in a strange lab, not a good thing at all. Next thing that he noticed was the familiar faces that were in the cages. Ananta, Glen, Kaida, Karina, Kross, Luna. Speaking of Ananta, she had asked him a question. "I kinda let my guard down." Next was addressing the doctor that had them all locked up here. "So why do you need hearts to become a toon in the first place?" No point in beating around the bush while they were stuck in these cages. Speaking of which, Kel had taken a second to make himself a bit more comfortable in the cage he was currently in. He may have been stuck in it, but he didn't have to be uncomfortable as well.
So the doctor lady had tried to shake her hand and offer her coffee and the other girl freak out cause she had gotten too close to her. From that information alone Zephyr wasn't really sure just who to believe, though the doctor knocking out the girl with a cloth basically made the decision an easy one. "I'm going to believe the girl you just knocked unconscious." The other man who had been kneeling in front of the now unconscious girl had walked past them, not exactly pleased by the doctor lady's, who's name was Isabella, actions. As for the other girl that was there, she tried to make the unconscious's girl position more comfortable before asking him for help. "Yeah, sure." Zepyhr then ventured into the room and started to assist her. Together the two of them carefully placed the girl back down on what they assumed to be her bed. So these were some of the people who stayed on this floor, well it was going to be interesting to say the least. @Aelin FireHeart @Magick
Zeal hadn't participated in the interrogating of the guard mostly because he didn't feel like it. Plus it looked like the others were handling the situation well so that his participating hadn't really mattered much. Then suddenly there was this crashing noise that could be heard from the outside. Going to see what had caused the noise had lead to an interesting sight. In fact Zeal wasn't sure what to make of what he was looking at. One thing that he could figure was that this giant monstrosity needed to be dealt with and they were the only ones around to do it. Thus, calling forth his scythe, Zeal went to attack the nearest limb of the beast.

Opening Animation for Vol.3 is out
As Kruez continued to progress through the forest, he eventually came across a clearing with a lone tree in the center of it. At the base of the flower were a bunch of various shapes and sizes. Kruez walked up to the tree and then crouched down. There was only one thing out of all this that he actually needed and that was the sole thing he was looking for. Thus his eyes scanned around the base of the tree til he found a flower that stuck out to him. The flower had red petals which was exactly what he needed. Part of being a traveling alchemist was making sure that you had things that could easily catch the eye of passerby, which would increase the odds of them handing out some case. Still in his knelt down position Kruez carefully picked up the flower and placed it into a jar that he had on hand with him. Now that the reason why he'd come to White Orchid in the first place was over, the mage had now started to make his way out of the forest towards the next nearest town. From what he recalled, Novigrad was the the closest place to where he was so that was where he headed. *Cue timeskip that only affects Kruez cause White Orchid is much farther away from Novigrad than I thought at first* The casual sound of wood hitting the stone walkway could be heard as Sweallow walked the streets of Oxenford. There wasn't anything particular that he had planned on doing today, well other than going for a walk to get some fresh air. He may have been a doppel, but he was by no means a hostile one. Sweallow much preferred to live his live in both peace an serenity. Krylen was currently on the trail of a monster that had lead him near a cave, though it would be more accurate to say that he lost sight of the monster and that he'd ended up in front of this cave. He didn't know whether or not the monster that he had been hunting had gone into the cave or not (though he was hoping that it did so that he wouldn't have lost it), but regardless of that, his pendant was faintly glowing near the mouth of he cave. Something that it only did when there were monsters nearby. So this cave was still worth checking out. That in mind, he turned to face the mouth of the cave and ventured into it.
"Maybe, not 100% sure yet." There was still plenty that he didn't know about celestial spirit wizards and what they were capable of that he did know and wanted to know about. He would have a better answer as to whether or not he wanted to become one once he knew all that. "I might be able to, last time she kinda came out on her own." Zephyr explained. Maybe calling out to the spirit would summon her. Zephyr pointed the key out in front of his and spoke. "Come out, Virgo." Whether this would work or now, we would see. With Silvia's hand in his own, Leo walked back to the guild hall. He'd placed his hat back on the top of his head where it belong and was feeling slightly less uncomfortable. He was still somewhat uncomfortable, but not enough that his face needed to be covered. Leo didn't know what would happen when they got back to the guild hall, but probably they'd find a place to sit and talk like usual.
Upon entering the room, Ken found that there was someone else already in the room. That was fine by him. Ken didn't really have a problem with sharing a room with someone. Least so long as there wasn't a reason for him to not like them. His new roommate had noticed him and started to walk towards him in what could only be assumed as a greeting, but before the actual greeting could take place, a scream could be heard. The scream was slightly muffled due to it being from above, least that was what Ken had assumed. Naturally he was curious as to why someone had screamed in the first place. Thus he left his room shortly after his new found roommate did and headed towards the nearest stairs towards the next floor. Zephyr had barely even left his apartment room before hearing someone scream. His eyes were then drawn to the scene that was taking place up ahead. He saw some guy holding a girl briefly before another girl had arrived on the scene and cause the man to drop the presumed screaming girl. In fact the closer he got to the situation things seemed to have calmed down a bit, but still asking couldn't hurt. So when he had gotten to the door that the aforementioned three, four new that he could see the doctor (?) in the room as well, he decided to speak up. "So, what was all the screaming about?"
The first thing that Alex did voice the voice had faded was to look in the desk he happened to be sitting at for the aforementioned key. Just as the voice had said, there had been a key waiting for him. Room 0204. Alex took the key out of the desk and held it into his hand and got up to leave the room. Not only did he not do well in crowds, but he needed time to think. A lot of what the voice had said was still fresh on his mind which wasn't really helping him out. Using his surrounding as a guide, Alex manage to find his way to the room he was assigned. The door was closed so as far as he could tell no one else was in there. Probably for the best, he could barely handle himself around crowds, but he could get away from them. A roommate would be much harder since avoiding them whenever possible would be kinda rude plus there's whenever they're in the room together. Not much that he could do about that. He was going to be here all night if he continued to think about what could be on the other side of the door instead of just opening it. Alex mustered up some courage and placed his key into the lock and turned it. Though when Alex had turned the handle to unlock the door, the knob itself turned as well, opening the door. The first thing that he noticed about the room was that there were three beds. Next was that one of the beds were already occupied by someone. The boy was laying on the bed, flicking his wrist as well as repeatedly saying 'Nope'. Was there something that he was trying to accomplish by just flicking his wrist or was he just bored. "Um, what are you doing?" His meek sounding voice had gotten the boy attention, who stopped what he was doing to look at Alex. The boy then got from his laying down position and looked towards Alex. "Just trying to see if what that voice said about there not being any magic was true out not." "M-magic?" Alex couldn't help but to gulp at hearing that. Having a roommate was one thing, but having one that could use magic was a different story. His discomfort at this idea must've been clearly plastered on his face given what his new roommate said next. "Don't worry about it. Since we're going to be roommates, I should probably introduce myself. You can call me Zephyr." Zephyr? That was a pretty unique name to his pretty average one. "I'm A-Alex." Judging from the look that Zephyr had given him, the introductions must have gone well. Zephyr then proceeded to hop off the bed and walk towards the door. "Alright then Alex, I'm gonna head out for a bit." Without saying another word more, Zephyr did just that and walked out of the room. Thus leaving Alex alone to do whatever it was that he wanted at the moment. Right now all he did was walk over to one of the two unclaimed beds and take one for him own. That was about all he wanted to do right now. Maybe later he would actually go and walk around.
If that actually happened, i'd love to see it.
About 5 months later and I have returned for another RWBY Update. The official release has been set for Saturday, October 24th and here's some exclusive footage that has also been put out. Spoiler: Volume 3 Poster

(Thanks go to Cstar for the banner) Zeal patiently waited as Aedion assisted Ana with mounting her horse. He took Aedion moving forward on his horse as a signal to do the same, so with a light kick his horse started to stride forth. Not going much much faster than Aedion and probably Ana as well.
Zephyr was about to put the key back in his pocket when he noticed Alessia sit down next to him. "This?" Zephyr took a moment to try and think how to explain what the key was when he knew very little about it himself. "It's a magical key that can summon a celestial spirit. This key in particular summons Virgo." Well, he wasn't wrong. "Apparently its used by Celestial Spirit Wizards." Hearing Silvia giggle along with what she had said served to maintain the blush that was on his face, but Leo soon put his hat back on his head. "Yeah." Leo agreed, reaching out towards Silvia's free hand and holding it in his own. This was helping him feel less uncomfortable, which was shown by his face gradually returning to its regular color.
