As they awaited an answer from Seiza, Kel unexpectedly heard another voice chime in. He turned to see that Luna had found her way here and had overheard their potential plan regarding the mark of mastery. "So that makes four people here willing to take the mark of mastery now." He wasn't sure whether that helped the odds of passing, but there's strength in numbers and numbers was something that they definitely had.
After he had given his view on the given question, Damion had remained fairly quiet as some of the others spoke. As they went on he'd partially tuned them out some he only caught bits and pieces of what they said. None of which was all that much important to him. At this point he just wanted to see who was the one responsible for sending the letter or at least get the little meeting that they were having over with. He'd almost successfully tuned them out when his nose picked up a familiar smell. Looking up he saw that not only was the annoyance smoking, but so were Drake and Will were smoking as well. While Damion could tolerate being about one drunk and or one person smoking, putting three together was pushing it a bit. With every breath in he took along with it came the smell of tobacco, which in turn brought some less wanted memories. Unlike the last time where a old memory resurfaced, this one had a bit more to it. Mainly because it involved more of his step dad. While Damion has going through shit memory lane, he overheard Tasha asking them to put away the cigarettes. Least he wasn't the only one who had a problem with the smoke. Hopefully that would increase the likely hood of them, or at least two of them, stopping. Of course it would probably also help if he spoke up so that they knew that he too had an issue with them smoking. "Or at least wait til we're outside if you want to smoke." Damion sighed not to long after he said that. With these being the people that he's going to be working with, he might as well point out of the somewhat minor things that he dislikes.
The Official Trailer to RWBY Vol. 2. Hooray for more robot fighting scenes
I would help, but my theme isn't of an OP character. But you can sharpen your bone into a weapon and go hands of madness if them.
Now we find out how many people outside the RPA actually know who ~Pheonix~ Is
With all this talk about the sky, it was only natural that Chrona would turn his attention towards the sky as well. Not quite sure how he missed this while he was looking around in the carriage, but the sky above them was multi colored. "Wow is right." It was almost like he was staring at a rainbow that never ended. Having felt like he stared at the sky long enough, he was just about to look back at the others before he noticed the dual moons in the sky. Two moons, moving perfectly in sync with each other in the sky, least there wasn't two suns in the sky. That might make the planet a little to hot for his taste. Finally taking his eyes off the sky, he looked to the others and spoke. "Maybe we'll find someone who knows why we're here and what we're doing here." They would be killing two birds with one stone if they actually could find someone with that kind of knowledge. Unfortunately there were still people inside the carriage who hadn't gotten out yet. "Maybe someone should stay behind in case anyone else gets up. That way they can tell them were we are and catch up to us."
Well, this is unexpected. The cartoon and comic book that is. Still i'll probably check them out cause giant robots fighting monsters.
"Another day, another successful thief." Those words belong the the thief Damion who was currently playfully tossing around the recent bag of coins he'd pick pocketed off some unsuspecting fool. Despite his attire, he was quite skilled at keep a low profile and preventing those he's stolen from from seeing him. Though there were the rare cases where he did get spotted and chase. In the event that happened, he always had some kind of trick that he could use to his advantage. Despite his choice for an occupation, Damion was quite crafty. In fact he had made a few traps out of materials he's found on the streets. The things he made were nothing elaborate, just flash bombs and other things that could distract any pursuers long enough for him to made a clean get away and if that didn't work, he still had the throwing knives and dagger that he "borrowed" in case things got a little to hairy. A small sigh escaped his lips as he caught the bag of money one last time before pocketing it away. It was time for a change in scenery and since he didn't have a set place in mind, he would just walk around til he found something or someone of interest. Of course if he found a person of interest, what he did next would depend on if they looked like they had any loot on them. Still he was going to have to be careful to not get recognized by anyone as he was on his way.
After everyone had taken their turn replying to the annoyance in the room. Tasha started going round to the others in, what he could tell, an attempt to get to know them better and further end the dull silence of the room . She'd gone to both Damien, or Drake as he would call him, and William before ending up at him. "Damion right? This will get confusing." "Just remember that I have white hair." He wasn't sure how much that would help. Besides if everyone called Damien, Drake, then there shouldn't be too much for him to worry about." "You work at a book store, so do you like to read? If so what is your favorite book?" Damion took a moment to think about his response before giving her one. "Hmm, I guess you could say that I like to read. Normally when I'm bored." Now he had to recalled what he considered to be his favorite book. "That's a tough one, I guess anything by Pittacus Lore would count as a favorite." Not too long after Damion had responded to her, the annoyance had decided to voice his opinion to each and every person in the room. By the time he'd gotten to him, Damion had already placed his index finger and thumb on the bridge of his nose, hung his head and sighed. There was no reasoning to this guy, so why even bother with a response. Just as he thought that he was finished ranting, someone else had walked in. This guy clearly was different from everyone else. In fact he was the only guy whose mood could be considered cheerful compared to everyone else. Then out of nowhere a pair of robotic arms came down from the ceiling holding two different boxes, each one meant for a specific person. Drake was the first one to look through the box that he was given. "So, uh, Doc Ock wants us to stop being, er... Debbie Downers." Sure, force a bunch of strangers together and expect them to all to be happy and cheerful. Seems legit. While this wasn't enough for him to worry about the mental state of whoever sent the letters, cause if they were insane odds were that they all be dead or trapped in some ridiculous game by now. Still he had no reason to be overly concerned. "So... do you guys think life's better short and fulfilled, or long and successful, but not fulfilled?" At least until he heard that. It probably was just him being overly cautious but he couldn't help but be concerned about any hidden meanings and curious as to if this was a clue to the reason why their here. Nevertheless, he gave his answer. "I guess so long as you have a purpose and can fulfill it, it doesn't matter how long or how short life is."
So the Mark of Mastery was a kind of test then. Least he was right about that much. Though hearing that it varied depending on the situations didn't exactly leave him feeling relieved or anything. For all they knew, if or rather when they took the Mark of Mastery, if may be the hardest thing that they ever had to do before. Or if luck was on their side, it may turn out to be somewhat easy. Before he could add in onto any thing, Beuce had agreed to take the Mark of Mastery while Cat chimed in, saying to help him out. Sure, leave him out of the picture why don't ya. "I guess I'll lend a hand as well." Kel finally chimed in. Upon hearing Cat's question, he wondered was there actually someone here that could administer the exam. If he had to guess, he would say Merlin, after all, he was knowledgeable on other world plus it was his magic that got him here in the first place. If not him then he doesn't know who might have the capabilities to do that.
Kel was quite to how to feel by the sight before his eyes. He was surprised at all the damage that Glen and Beuce had manage to do and at the same time, he wasn't all that shocked by who caused it. Nevertheless R was the one who spoke out about them fighting each other. Despite that, the one apologizing for all this probably had done the least out of the three of them.. It didn't really mattered to him though, so he just remained silent as he waited.
Aside form one more person entering the room, not much was done between the people who'd already arrived, which was understandable. Total strangers could only work so well together and given the circumstances that their all here for, the odds of someone being chatty were decreased. The silent went on a little longer before someone finally spoke. It had been the girl in the corner who'd spoken up. It was pretty clear that she was uncomfortable doing so, but she at least made an effort. That was more than what everyone else could say. When she'd finished by giving her name and occupation someone else spoke, granted it wasn't much good that was said. After listening to what was said, Damion knew that he most likely wouldn't get along with that guy all to well. Still since he wasn't a blonde German with heterochromia, he would have no reason to punch him should they ever interact. Luckily he was used to dealing with assholes so this wouldn't be anything new. Especially since he had his own non physical way of dealing with them, that worked every now and again. Damion finished the last thing of food he'd placed on his napkin before speaking. "I guess you can call me Damion and since you mentioned your job, I work at a book store."There wasn't a real need for him to say his job aside from being fair. His eyes made their way to the other who'd spoke before him. "Since its pretty clear that you don't give two shits about being here, why don't you keep your mouth shut." This was part of his method, which always had various results depending on who he spoke too.
"Hmm, I can, but I don't know how helpful he would be in this case." Not doubting Mushu's abilities, but if he was going to know about another dragon, it seemed more likely that it would be one in his own world. Not a guardian of fire. Hearing Beuce go over the riddle for the light guardian next brought about even more interest. In fact, he'd never been this interested in magic before. Guarded by sages of time. That one line in particular stuck out him. Generally when one thinks of a sage you think skilled wizard, so a sage of time must be... a master of time. Coming here was a good idea. Hearing Cat's question, he took himself out of his thoughts to answer. "Well for the location I think it might be someplace with an abundance of darkness. As for the guardian all I can think of is a sage of sorts." Then he heard what Saiza had mentioned to Beuce about a Mark of Mastery. "Is this Mark of Mastery one of the requirements needed to face the Elemental Guardians?" Kel asked. He may no know exactly what the Mark of Mastery was, but considering how it was used and the name, one could assume that it was a test of sorts.
Jacket, check. Note on bedroom door, check. Crumpled up letter in the trash can double check. That stupid letter was the only reason that he was even going through with this. Hell if he had the choice, he'd completely ignore it and go on about his life. Unfortunately he couldn't risk putting his mother and younger sister at risk, so he had no choice but to comply. Damion had taken extra care to make sure that no one else was awake as he left, so that he wouldn't have to explain anything. There was a note left on his room door so if there was any questions then they at least would know that he just went out. He soon arrived to the door and reached his hand out towards the knob when something stopped him. "Damion? Where are you going?" Upon turning to see who it was, Damion saw that it was his sister who'd caught him in his attempt to sneak out. Great, so much for keeping this all low key. "Don't worry, I'm just heading out for a bit." For the most part that was true, but it clearly wasn't going to be enough to convince her. "Are you sure? Last time I was told that you were in Juvenile detention for 8 months." Of course she'd bring that back up. While she may have been a year younger than him, somethings never changed. Despite how calmly she attempted to speak, Damion could tell that she was truly worried. So he gave her a reassuring smile before patting her on the head. "Don't worry Alisa, you'll never have to worry about anything like that again. I'll be back, that much I can promise you." Alisa gave him a smile in return before nodding. "Also could you keep this a secret from mom, I don't want her worrying about me." Given another nod in response, Damion turned back to the door and opened it. Now it was time to get this whole letter thing over with. As per the instructions, he headed towards the office building and placed his hand on the scanner before him. "Damion Haal." There was something about the way he spoke that brought some old memories. Memories that he'd rather forget. No matter he proceeded into the building and up the elevator. The ride up he was curious as to what he found find when he arrived. The letter mentioned that there would be others so that much he could assume would be something that he'd see. With the usual ding sound, the elevator doors opened and Damion took notice of his new found surroundings. First off the table full of food. Least whoever sent the letter was true to his or her word, which wasn't that much of a good thing. Second the other people who'd arrived before he did. Two males, one of which clearly looked to the oldest out of them all, and one girl. Well things certainly would be interesting to say the least. Damion remained silent as he made his way over to the table with food on it. After having a general idea of what he was going to get, he grabbed a napkin, unfolded it and went down the table grabbing the items that he'd pre selected. Carefully holding the three items that he'd selected, he found himself a place on the wall to stand and started to eat.

As Chrona stood there waiting as the girl pounded her first on the wood, he tried his best to ignore the annoying sound. Least he wasn't inside the carriage still for it must've been a lot worse for them too. Suddenly the beating stopped and the girl was knocked onto the ground by the opening of the door. What Chrona had expected to see was someone walk out looking annoyed cause of said beating, not some guy wielding a giant hammer. As the man looked down on the girl he'd knocked over, Chrona's eyes were still glues to the hammer for it gave him a bad feeling inside. Just gotta make sure not to get on his bad side. Unfortunate it seemed that the girl had the exact opposite idea in mind for she got back up and soon expressed her dislike of being knocked down. While seeing a girl of her size challenge someone of the hammer man's size was interesting to say the least, he was glad that no one had made any attempts to attack. Then she started to speak to him, which due to her accent took Chrona a couple of second to piece together what she said, not that the loudness of the marketplace made that any easier. "Well we are in a market place, lets look around here and see if they've seen or know of anything useful to us."
