Yeah, I remember that video. It seems a little flawed in my opinion, though.

    a) It's also known that you'll never turn into anti-form when you're Driving outside battle. The modifiers only kick in when you're actually engaged with enemies.

    b) One could surmise that right after that 100 Drive test, they immediately tried the next method (albeit using Master Form instead of Valor as the punching bag). And since it seems they made Sora go Master Form before actually letting the Heartless spawn, once again it may be due to fact (a). Sora changing into Anti-Form unfailingly right after, I think, is due to:

    i) Changing 100 times outside battle may still have affected the counter (i.e. if they really did Drive 100 times, it's possible they had 100 Anti points)

ii) He Drived during a Heartless battle (or any battle for that matter) unlike the previous.

** I'm assuming this might be the same that happened to you when you said you drove several times into Valor/Wisdom/Master, then when they didn't work you went straight to another world and got pummeled for a bit, then changed back during the battle.

The only way I'd believe that video's theory is if they remade it showing (and actually showing all 100 attempts in one long stream of unedited video) Sora Driving 100 times *during* actual battles.

I watched my sister play KH2, and she was rather horrible at it for the first few worlds. And I saw her literally get pummeled while in Valor form all the way through her meter, and changed back. She Drove again and didn't go Anti-Form. She got pummeled *again* (and I mean pummeled, didn't get many hits in) in Valor form. I told her if she really needed Valor form, she should use a Drive Recovery item--which she did. This was right after her second pummeling. She followed my advice and drove again in battle and still no Anti-Form.

Granted, after many many many times driving into Valor form, she finally went Anti-form in a random fight, but this time she Drove early in the fight--leaving no time for enemies to get a chance to get a lot of hits in.

I will seriously consider trying out the 100 Drives in actual battle myself over the summer if I have time.

Yes, in fact. I own that Super Mario RPG. Square published those games. Nintendo created them. Get your semantics correct, please.

First of all, the context in which I said, "Mario does not belong with Square" was referring to that whether or not Square and Mario have some kind of niche together, not if they were actually legally affiliated. The fact that Super Mario RPG is the only Square-Mario RPG title in existence and this 3-on-3 Hoops game, I'd say their niche isn't a very developed, nor thriving one. So what you're claiming, good sir, isn't even the point of the argument.
Good wholesome fun. Does Square-Enix look like a company that is very big on this idea of 'good wholesome fun'? Were any of the FF titles 'good wholesome fun' to you? Fun, yes, but this 'good wholesome fun' would do absolutely no justice to the prevalence of Square's gaming reputation in both terms of their intricate story-lines and vivid character inventory. Square's particular attention paid toward every RPG they make is the very reason they don't plaster random faces on 'half a dozen games a year'.

Two companies with very different philosophies. Square's games tend to shroud in them various life lessons and themes that you would usually find in literature. Disney to some extent also cradles this philosophy in their motion pictures.

What do you learn from Mario games? Oh right, that mushrooms increase your size and eating flowers grant you fire powers. Oh, also that Mario can play every sport known to man. How did Mario become a plumber? Did he always want to be one? Does he really love the Princess? How does he feel about his brother, Luigi? Does he really hate Bowser? Or does he just want everyone to be friends?

The Mario franchise can stick to their 'good wholesome fun'. I, on the other hand, would like to play RPGs with a good story. And that, is more often than not, Square's expertise. The structure of KH does not go very well with Mario's way of doing things. It wouldn't work; it'd fail miserably. And just between Disney and Mario in terms of being all-age inclusive--you can't even compare Disney's complete defeat over Mario on this matter. There is a much much higher appreciation for Disney than Mario within the retired age-group.

    - was 'Sora' on the old Square Spirit Forums around 2001--which is now no longer in existence.

    - Former Super Moderator 'FlipNautix/.Velius/Soushirei' on Square Spirit Legends (the remake) from 2002-2004 (?)--which as well is no longer in existence.

    - was nomadic for the next few years on several forums including RPGDreamers, Square Ultima, Smash Boards, Saiyaman forums.

    - came to KH-vids in early January 2006 as 'Soushirei.' and hung around until March until I disappeared. e.e.

    - things happened, but a little over a year later here I am back on kh-vids, as ロクサス.

    hello...

Don't worry about it. It happened to me too when I registered this account. I didn't get any email confirmation so I thought that perhaps my username screwed up the process, but after a while I tried posting and it worked, lol.

    Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Yes! Warhawk is definitely waiting for me and MGS4. It's probably why I've been so picky with the next-gen launch titles and the few that followed. I don't wanna be broke when all the better stuff starts rolling in.

Talk about a next-gen standstill. The eye before the storm. *rolls eyes*

    PS3:
None! I've been considering Call of Duty 3 and Resistance, however.

    Wii:
Wii Sports, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Play

Don't have a 360 yet, even after they ported FFXI to it. I was FFXI'ing over PS2.

Too many games of interest are due this year. I've been actually buying PS2 games as of late (not including KH2FM+): Gundam Seed Destiny Rengou vs ZAFT II Plus and Rogue Galaxy.

    Haha, this made me laugh.

Over the years, this particular prof lets students fill out survey forms designed to give him feedback on his teaching. Here he places an assortment of slides showing particular responses he has received over the years.

I wish my Comp Sci prof was like him. Man, I fell asleep in this course every lecture.

    NTU lecture feedback!

I rented this a few days ago.

Verdict? Marvelous graphics and some unique combat gameplay, but that's all it has. Story is mediocre and it's pretty much a very lame excuse for an action RPG. It quite resembles a lot of things you might remember from the Dynasty Warriors games if you've played those. So some may find a niche with the game's battle system.

However, it's definitely not a game you'd wanna buy to keep. Rent it, instead. You'll get your fill for the complete 15 hours of story there is in that thing, and trust me you'll never wanna touch it again.

The graphics really are nice though, I have to admit. Blu-ray HD, joy.

And how I 'rented' it? From a friend. Hahahaha.

    Yeah, I'll try o_o.

I have a rough visual in my mind about how I want it to look in a basic sense, and it's heavily influenced by a few places in Twilight Princess, actually. However, when I have to sit down and make an outline for it, some original ideas will probably come up around then. I also will have to create some original chars associated with that world; it becomes a focal point sometime during the later half of the final arc.

    Hey, everyone.

I know I promised you Chapter Four about two and a half hours ago, haha. But I actually woke up late today around 1PM and had to give some input on the basement layout of my house (since we're getting it finished this month).

I gave one last proof-read of Chapter Four, but it was sort of rushed so if you see any errors then try to correct them yourselves in your heads, haha.

    -- Chapter Four --
    And there we have it.

For some of you who might be thinking "Holy crap, Kairi is one useless piece of crap, stop passing out". Please consider this phase of her development a temporary occurence, as she will change very drastically in Chapters 11 onward. Not much is being said about it now, but all of her blackouts will make sense later when the second arc begins.

Hope you all are still enjoying this fic and want to read more. ^^

The Mario franchise does not belong with Square.

Disney has some integrity with having a 'timeless' quality with their work. Disney has continually been able to appease people of any age and actually has some fairy-tale-like qualities.

Mario Bros has never done this. They're more of a retro-cult revered by all old school gamers.

Actually it would to a lot of people if they knew what Tupac and Osama Bin Laden had in common; maybe not you in particular. I spun off a controversial joke, but evidently you aren't up to speed on that particular media flare.

Anyway, Square wouldn't waste time on elaborating on tragedies such as death; they probably left it up to the imagination of the player.

You own a black trench coat similar to Organization XIII and wear it in the rain.

You can accurately hum every OST in sync with the music regardless of difficulty.

You can randomly quote any scene from the games including hand gestures and facial expressions.

You start taglining everything with "Got it Memorized?"

You name places of similar landscaping after KH worlds.

You suddenly acquire a fashion addiction to zippers.

You have tried to imitate Sora's High Jump, Aerial Dodge, Quick Run and Glide to the best of your ability by any means necessary.

You have hosted a Struggle tournament in your basement

You have tried to deliver mail on a skateboard... without getting off.

You claim a set of stairs has more steps than you counted earlier and see young blonde girls in white dresses by mansion windows.
