Yet, the Bible does. The Bible has some pretty ****ed up laws. Especially in Leviticus. On topic, the man is mentally insane. Not even a fundie would be that stupid... right?
Isn't there already a thread on this? First of all, there ARE other worlds. There are currently over 200 known exoplanets. Most are within this side of the galaxy. So, with some logic, you can conclude that there are around 400 planets in this galaxy. There are over a sextellion galaxies in the observable universe, meaning that there are even more planets. Two planets about 20 light years away (Gliese 581c and d), possibly have life. Though Gliese 581c is probably too close to its star and is tidally locked, meaning it's too hot on one side and too cold on the other. Gliese 581d is slightly out of the Goldilocks Zone (where water forms), but, according to computer models, it has green house gases, making it warmer, and more suitable to life. So, in conclusion, hell yeah, there are other worlds. Many probably have life, but it's doubtfull that the life there is intelligent enough to travel here.
I'm not posting this in the Creative Corner right now because, more than likely, I'll get bored with it and never work on it again. If a mod or admin disagrees, then please, suki-ni shi-te-kudasai (do as you please) For fun, I like writing stories. Unfortunately, due to my incredibly minuscule attention span, I can never finish one past at most chapter 2. This time may be different, so, before I put this in the Creative Corner, I need opinions, to see if this perks anyone's interest. Please tell me your opinion of my writing skills. The name of the story is "The Al Chronicles: Total Existence Failure." Originally, it was meant to be a series of short stories, but I decided to give it one story. Maybe two, if it goes well. To tell the truth, many of the concepts and stuff are based on the Ed Stories. So, here's Chapter 1 of the most-likely-never-to-be-finished-novel:
This reminds me of that movie "The Goonies."
Rem: ”Misa, I gave you that Dess-Note to use for yourself." Dess-note. LOL. The Japanese language mutilates its loan-words. Batto, datto izu howai japaniizu izu kuuru! (But, that is why Japanese is cool!) EDIT: Ontopic, Misa's voice doesn't suit her, but it's not bad.
... John Bud?
Too late. LOL.
I forgot what day I'm in, but I'm in the "Get to Towareko" mission. In order to get to the next area, I need to have five 500 YEN Badges to show the Shinigami. However, this is my problem: I can't get any! I've tried increasing the Drop Rate by decreasing my Level, fighting more and bigger Noise, and using Chain Battles. But, the only YEN Badges I've been getting are 1's, 100's, and 1,000's. For some reason, I'm not getting any 500's. Hmmm... Perhaps I need to change the difficulty to Normal? Thanks in advance. EDIT: I accidentally called the thread "It's a Wonderful LIFE." My bad. EDIT #2: Don't you just hate it when you figure something out yourself AFTER you asked? Changed the difficulty, got a 500. Mods, if needed, please lock.
And the Sonic Hedgehog gene makes your back have spines on it.
Well... I've translated a few things for this site. That's something. Cocohints. You're near Premium. So, I'd say 8/10, maybe.
Madi-chan... Meh, 7 or 8/10.
Learning a language is not just learning the words. You need to know how the words work. For example, in French, the conjugation system is a lot more complex than in English. In English, there are merely 2 tenses that do not use modal verbs (present and preterit/simple past). In French there are 5, I think(present, preterit, imperfect, future, subjunctive). Another example is Japanese. English and Japanese are two extremely different languages. I'll show two sentence to show this. Translation: "What are you doing? I am going to the park." Japanese: "Omae-wa nani-wo sh-ite-iru? Ore-wa koen-e iku-n-da." Japanese in detail: "Omae(you-informal-male)-wa(subject marker-"as for") nani(what)-wo(direct object marker) sh-ite(-te form of "to do")-iru(to be-animate). Ore(I, me-informal-male)-wa(subject marker-"as for") koen(park)-e(to, towards) iku(to go)-n(reason marker)-da(noun/na-adjective copula-informal).
... for asking a question. This is the post that was derepped. Okay, maybe I could've chosen a better title, but the post itself was a simple question that harmed no-one. The derepper gave this message: "boooo!!! u" ... I'm doing this cuz I'm bored, not cuz I care (well, I do care a little, not about the derep itself, but the fact that it's a stupid thing to derep.)
Never smoked, never will. I wouldn't like to go down the same way as my Gran. I want my death to be quick and as painless as possible.
... VEXEN?!?!??!?! But... um... wait... I thought... but how... ? O_O Xaldin, can you provide a link to this manga? I'd like to try to translate it myself.
Wow, completely false and people take it seriously? You mean like EVERY "Holy Book?" On topic: If it keeps them happy and stops them hurting others, I think it's fine. However, I'd rather people find out on their own that hurting others is wrong.
Online translators suck. Japanese is too different from English to get a perfect translation. Moving away from the topic of linguistics... AWESOME! Remember, Xaldin, if you need a translator, then just tell (provided it is either text or in furigana).
Lawight the Genius! Sega's new franchise!
... Well, that didn't last long, now did it?
Madi, all I can say to you is this: GOOD LUCK!
