A soldier came to Josh's cell and confiscated his harmonica. "The king is coming." he said, opening the cell as another soldier grabbed Josh by both arms. Joshua was taken to a large round room. He sat in a small chair in the center of the room. Many chairs surrounded him. Chains tied his wrists and ankles together so that he could not escape. As the king entered everyone stood up and bowed their heads. "Here comes the man who let this kingdom go downhill..." Josh muttered, chuckling to himself and watching the king. Next to him was his daughter, whom he recognized from his days as a slave. All he could do now was wait until the meeting began...
Joshua was now in handcuffs. Just a few moments ago, he had been walking past the castle when a soldier protecting it spat on him, calling him a useless slave. So, Josh warned the soldier that he could cause some serious damage to him. With a laugh, the soldier soon had several other soldiers pointing guns at Josh. With a smirk, Josh had burst each of the guns into flames, then kicked each soldier attacking him in the chest. Though this was a very stupid and ridiculous move, he loved every minute of it. However, the other soldiers did not. He was now accused of 'Disrespect to a Soldier' and was being taken to the castle for the king to decide whether he would be either executed, sent to jail, or freed. The soldiers threw him into a small cell and locked it tightly. "You will be taken out soon to speak with the king." one of them said through the bars. "If you attempt to escape, you'll be killed on the spot." The soldiers left, and Josh took out a harmonica, beginning to play it loudly. OoC: Eh...couldn't think of anything else... ;>>
Joshua walked the nearly empty streets of the kingdom. It was morning. Rats scurried past him along with burglars, hoping not to get caught. Don't get caught... Josh thought, the words echoing through his head. These were the last words he ever heard from his mother. Soldiers from the kingdom had come for slaves, and their family decided to split up... "I love you..." a woman whispered into a young boy's ear while hugging him tightly. "Don't get caught..." After a few more moments, the woman let go, her eyes filled with tears, and ran out of the large house. His family was rich, and that is exactly what threatened those of higher power, which is why they invaded. Young Josh watched his mother catch up with his father and sister...then taken away by the soldiers. He hid in the forest behind their house, running as fast as he could, hearing loud footsteps behind him. Finally, he felt a sharp pain in his back and fell to the ground. A few hours later, he arrived at a large castle as a slave. Josh, shaking his head and returning to reality, could remember everything that happened so vividly. After all, it was the most vital thing that ever happened to him. Now, he lived in a small house with his friend, no longer a slave. Suddenly, he heard a rattling noise and looked down to his left to see a pathetic looking man laying on the ground, shaking a cup that read 'HELP MONEY'. With a sigh, Josh reached into his pocket and dropped a small coin into the cup. The man smiled and nodded with gratitude. It shocked Josh to see a man who was once his neighbor back at his old home, laying on the streets. "Thank you, Joshua." the old neighbor said. Josh did not answer, but instead continued to walk. Memories come and go, then you move on. Josh had learned this rule over time, and applied it to nearly everything. "Memories come and go..." he mumbled, gazing at the castle. "Then, you move on..."

I chose Alternative as my favorite. However, I enjoy each of the choices. By the way, when I read the title of this thread, I thought it meant different types of rocks, like the kind you would find in nature and stuff like that. Just thought I would tell you guys that. Lol. :D
Xalibur jumped off of the ground and flew to the tallest mountains of them all. They were called the Mountains of Dawn. There he reached a large dark cave which he sat inside of and began to rest. The cave was completely empty except for several wolf skulls, a favorite decoration of Xalibur's. "Soon, all wolves shall die..." he whispered coldly, leaning against a rock wall. He never fell asleep, knowing that anything could happen within the time that he was not conscious of his surroundings. Instead, he took some time to do nothing but sit in silence as rest.
Axel glared at Demyx for a few moments after kicking Sora aside, then his eyes softened. "I'm sorry..." he said, hiding his chakras behind his back with one hand while extending the other for a handshake. "This is my fault. What do you say, pal? Friends?" Sora angrily stared up at Demyx who hadn't even thanked him for saving his life, then saw the chakras Axel was hiding. "Don't do it Demyx!" he shouted, trying to crawl up-shore. "He's lying!" Realizing that he himself needed serious help, Sora crawled all the way up to the camp, then laid down in the grass in pain and exhaustion.
Xalibur sighed as Akua called him a dragon. Why is it that no one understood that he was a dragon-human. Half dragon, half human. Not fully one or the other. "You can be as old as time itself..." he whispered to Akua underneath the water as his claws easily reformed. "But you're still way in over your head, brother." Quickly, he sliced at the dragon's chest several times, not really attempting to do any damage, but rather to distract him. Once there were enough cuts in the dragon's chest, he jumped out of the water and landed back on the ground perfectly. "It's about time..." he said, shaking his wet hair. "That water was getting a little too bloody for my taste..." At last, he noticed the others who seemed to be arguing. "Great..." he mumbled, simply watching them. "No one seems to be able to control their anger these days..."
Axel arrived on the shore and jumped out of the boat, a look of anger and hate in his eyes. Finally, he spotted Demyx and grabbed him by the shoulders, throwing him against a boulder. "Traitor..." he mumbled, backing up a few steps. "They say that if you shoot someone with fire 100 times, they burn from the inside out, suffering a cruel and painful death." Quickly, he shot a blast of fire at Demyx in the chest. "You just received your first shot..." Sora saw what was going on and ran towards the two. "Stop!" he shouted at Axel, taking out his keyblade. "Leave him alone." Axel rolled his eyes, then shot another blast. Afterwards he held two fingers up. "Well, well, well..." he said, shaking his head at Demyx. "Now you have our enemies trying to help you. Just for that, I'm gonna make this one extra painful..." He held his fists up and prepared for the third shot. Demyx could now barely take anymore before being severely injured. "No!" Sora yelled. He took a deep breath, and jumped in front of the huge fireball that Axel had just shot. The blast hit him perfectly. All he could feel now was extreme pain in his chest as he lay on the sharp wet rocks. Axel simply laughed and prepared to shoot Demyx again.
Xentus' eyes burst open and he quickly examined his surroundings. Trees were everywhere and the sky showed that it was dawn. He got up, and noticed that his clothes were completely different. A large heartless symbol was on his chest and his outfit was a bit like Ansem's, but black. Two words continuously echoed throughout his mind. Kill Sora... Immediately, he closed his eyes for a moment, sniffing the air. Opening them, he knew which direction to go. "Sora, your death is soon..." he whispered, summoning his weapon. To his surprise, he was now carrying a keyblade. It looked very dark and capable of doing horrible things. Xentus smirked at his new weapon and ran in the opposite direction of the sun during this time of day: The west. He had found Sora's scent. It smelled of some darkness, and darkness does not follow light. Thus, Sora had to be running away from the light. If Xentus could find him, he could kill him, which is exactly what he intended to do.
Xalibur sighed as the dagger was stabbed into his back. He felt blood drip down, but did not feel even a bit of fear. "You wolves think you're so clever..." he muttered, pulling the dagger out. He closed his eyes and his entire body glowed blue. A few seconds passed and no blood or cut could be seen whatsoever. However, it took a lot of energy in order to heal yourself, and Xalibur was now exhausted, but tried not to show it. Suddenly, he felt himself being forced into the water, knowing this was Akua's doing. "Looks like Mr. Cool is about to show his true colors..." he mumbled before stabbing his claws into Akua's chest, causing some of the water to turn red.
Xalibur's eyes widened, and he quickly reacted. In an instant, he grabbed the dagger with one hand, yanked it out of the wolf's grip, and threw it into the water. "You gonna get that?" he said to the wolf with a grin, unfortunately losing his focus on Akua.
Xalibur grinned at Akua's reaction, knowing that the dragon was now going to attempt to do something. Now we're talking... he thought to himself, a bit curious about what happened to the wolf who had disappeared. "You...are...a...fake." he said slowly and loudly. His claws extended and his wings were prepared to spread out, ready for whatever came next.
The dragon-human chuckled at the wolf's fear, simply humored by the small hit. Though it had damaged his bones a bit, it was cured after a few seconds. Then, he focused on Akua once again. "Trying to seem calm, cool, and collected as always, I see." Xalibur said to Akua, rolling his eyes. "You're a fake." He dropped the wolf in the water and turned around as he heard someone coming.
Xalibur barely felt the kick. In fact, it felt more like a tap to him. "Angry, eh?" he said, quickly grabbing the wolf by the shoulders. "Does this make you angry?" He held the wolf only a few inches above the deep water with one hand, while using the other hand as a claw, ready to strike. Now, the dagger was easily visible and Craig was a small distance away from death. "Does this look like a wolf who means no harm to you!?" he shouted at Akua, pointing at the dagger and the wolf.
Xalibur easily shattered the ice and gently landed next to the wolf. "Wolves are enemies!" he hissed, his eyes turning red and his head positioned so that he was face-to-face with the wolf. "They mean us plenty of harm. Just as the dragons have taught me. And don't you dare call me brother. I'm not even a complete dragon." Suddenly, he noticed the tip of the dagger behind the wolf's back, and smirked. "You're right." he said, backing away from the wolf. "He's our friend. And after all, friends play games, correct? Well, let's play a game..." Quickly, he ducked into the water for a few moments before jumping back out to tackle the wolf, hoping it would try to protect itself with the dagger, thus revealing itself.
Xalibur was flying higher into the air when he noticed a dragon and a wolf talking below. Sitting duck... he thought, ignoring the dragon and only focusing on the wolf. He changed his angle and was now soaring downwards toward his next victim.
Xentus could not hear or see Ansem, but was instead trapped in his own mind. Darkness swirled around him and a clone of himself stood before him. The clone seemed darker and wore an Organization XIII cloak. Not only that, but it seemed more like a phantom the way it had no feet and simply floated. Suddenly, the words of Ansem began to come out of the clone's mouth, but with Xentus' voice. "Surrender your heart to the darkness." it said, reaching a hand out. "Become darkness itself." In an instant, the clone transformed into the regular Xentus, with no sign of darkness at all. "Save yourself." the clone said, still reaching out its hand. "The darkness will make you feel stronger, but it's only hurting you. Don't surrender!" Quickly, Xentus reached out to the clone's hand, but was swept away by the darkness away from his clone before reaching it. After a few more moments, the clone was out of sight and there was nothing but darkness surrounding Xentus. "Fine..." he whispered, feeling as if he were now useless and that darkness was the only way. "If that's how it's gotta be...I surrender to the darkness." There was an intense pain in his chest and Xentus screamed, not sure where everything would go from here.
Riku cooked up a few orders and put them on the counter for Goofy to serve. OoC: Yeeaahhh...short post ftw. >>
"I showed him!" Xentus said, laughing as he picked up his weapon. Suddeny, a cold chill went up his spine. Die in the darkness you resist? he thought to himself, Ansem's words echoing through his head. Does that mean I have to accept the darkness in order to free myself from it? I wonder... So, Xentus made a dangerous move. He closed his eyes and cleared his mind of all thoughts. His body fell backwards, but did not hit the ground. Instead he felt himself...floating. "Here goes nothing..." he whispered. Xentus took a deep breath...then opened his heart to the darkness.
