I can't agree with you more, Jeffrey. You look at any high school and most of them are already having sex. Therefore, teaching abstinence can be taken as a moot point. Yes, they can learn the importance of abstinence, but let's face it. Chances are that they will end up being sexually active at some point in their lives. If they don't learn the importance of safe sex then there's going to be an increase in STD's and teenage pregnancies. If the older generations choose to not teach safe sex, that's sending a message of ignorance to younger generations and they'll more likely go out and have unsafe sex. It'll start a small domino effect, so to speak.
Whether someone enjoyed the game or not, you can't dispute that it was revolutionary for it's time in terms of story, graphics, and side-quests. Yes, it's been whored out far more than it should have been by Square, but like people have said before; Square is a business. If they make money off of something, they will continue to do that something until they make no more money off of it. The same is being done with FFVII. Advent Children was amazing, as was Crisis Core. Even I thought it should have ended with that. They were overcomplicating the original plot with all those change ups that can't be justified. If they remake it, they'll end up justifying those holes somehow or another. That being said, I would love nothing more than a remake of this game. I would devote a whole month to whoring myself out to this game until I had done absolutely everything possible. But, I'd prefer to get Versus XIII, Birth By Sleep, and XIV. Mostly BBS and Versus, though. :lolface:
