Eyes began to flutter open, the grey and empty scenery had now changed in a mere instant. "What the..." Attair muttered as he stood up to his feet...but wait wasn't he standing a second ago. How did he return back to the room...unless. With that mere though Altair glanced down at his body and his eyes immediately began to widen "I-Its back" Altair said quietly as he turned his attention up towards Heidi and Casey. Everything felt so much better than before. There was nothing necessarily wrong with Marcus' body, but all the memories, the pain, the scars that he had earned were all with this body and he wouldn't dare let somebody run away with it and keep it. Glancing down at the palm of his left hand Altair softly smiled and clenched it. "Yo Heidi, hope I didn't keep you waiting. I told you I'd be back " Altair said with the usual casual smile that only belonged to him.
Upon hearing the words of Heidi, Casey's eyes immediately widened and began to sparkle like a little boy in a huge store. "yes....GOD DAMN YES!" Casey said as he jumped off the bed he was sitting on and immediately jumped at Heidi and hugged her "I WILL LOVE YOU FOR LIFE IF YOU FIX MY HAIR!" Casey said excited as his grin widened. Letting go, Casey jumped around the room happily awaiting the hair change he has been dreaming of. Altair stood on the roof and stared up at the empty skies. His laughter subsided and the teen merely just stood their and stared up with a dull empty look. He needed to survive this game, but how could he do so? Crestetia obviously meant business and wished for everybody to die after their worth was at an end. As a cold air blew by, Altair closed his eyes and realized a choice would soon have to be made. Will he live his normal peaceful life and die like a dog, or forsake what he believes in and kill in order to rise to the top.... His thoughts were suddenly cut off as he felt the sudden vibration of his phone in his pocket. Though at this point even though he didn't want to answer it, Altar opened the incoming text nonetheless and began to read it. "Heidi...." Altair said calmly as he began to type his reply and sent it to the girl.
After that short uneventful moment Darrius merely slouched and lowered his hand with a sigh "Well that was a bust" Darrius said lowering his head with a sigh. Looking up at his new buddy, Darrius watched him do his little nerdy thing. With a sigh Darrius took a seat on a nearby chair and crossed his arms as he waited. He needed to think about this much more thoroughly than before. If summoning the demoness was so simple then the other people in the email would have done it a million times by now. There had to be a purpose, but what...what would a demoness want. Most of the rules did not seem to benefit the demoness, but instead it seemed it was to merely bring misfortune to the participants. Once particular rule had caught his attention the most and Darrius began to move his thoughts to that very one rule. The rule of no suicide was a very strange one. Had the demoness wished for their death then this rule wouldn't have been put in place. What the demoness wished for was the pawn to survive...and then it hit him. This demoness was just like that person... "Entertainment..." Darrius said closing his eyes with a smirk. "The demoness' main goal is entertainment, to watch us squirm and to watch us despair, but most of all she wishes to witness something interesting" Darrius said. "I'll admit I've haven't really reacted much to the email and it hasn't really affected me so..." Darrius said as he glanced back at Elliot "but if we are to assume that this body switching is the work of C....well then I would assume we are like this because there is something wrong we are doing....or maybe because we are doing absolutely nothing" Darrius said. Trying to get to the bottom of the problem.
Upon hearing those words the teen's eyes immediately widened upon hearing those exact words. It was a question he had expected, but even so he was still caught off guard by it. He wished to hide the gun, to let nobody see it, but the situation called for it and he had no choice but to use it. "This gun..." Altair said as he stopped and placed his hand on his head. The migraine returned at full force and it became for too unbearable to merely ignore. "I-I need it, I need it to kill the person that ruined my life" Altair said forcing the explanation out of his mouth. Unable to bear it anymore, Altair stood up and walked towards the door "I-I need some time outside...I'll be back, don't you worry" Altair said as he immediately opened the door and closed the door with a bang. The sudden bang caused Casey to awake from his slumber and immediately look around "What the hell what that?" Casey yelled as he glanced around and looked over at Heidi "ah morning Heididy!" Casey said happily Altair stumbled down the hallway, it was unlike him to merely lose his cool like that but it was something that couldn't be helped. His hand gripped tightly on the gun in his pocket and he wouldn't dare let any of those snakes dare kill him now. He needed air, but he needed to be alone. He stumbled on and reached a perfect destination, the rooftop. Kill him...you wish to kill him But is that possible? the timer has been set, will you finish it in time? Just how far will you go to do so? Just what will happen next? You say you will risk your life, but in reality your life has gained...true purpose Zedler is not your main purpose and neither is that girl....whats most important to you is the game. You could have ignore it all, you could have simply put the invitation to the academy away and merely stay where it is safe, but you chose to come. You chose to watch the madness unfold. Death, despair, anguish, joy, hatred, love...you've bore witness to it all ever since this all began. Your time as the observer is reaching its end, you will soon have to act... You truly are a broken man who seeks salvation...isn't it time to end that pursuit? Tears ran down the teen's face as he stared up at the heavens and grinned a chaotic grin "Isn't it time I reveal my true self to the world?" Altair said as he began to let out a crazed laughter.
Darrius was so enthralled to learn that the boy before him was willing to actually go through with this...well technically he never actually said he would, but nonetheless he did not hear a word of protest and that was good enough for him. He sort of felt a tinge of excitement and really wished for this to work. The price part that Elliot spoke of made Darrius wary, but Darrius would merely have to bargain with the deity. Closing his eyes Darrius raised his hand and immediately pointed at Elliot "GREAT DEMONESS C!, I INVITE YOU HERE TO SPEAK WITH ME! I OFFER THE BODY THAT FORMALLY BELONGED TO ME SO THAT WE MAY CONVERSE! PLEASE HUMBLE MY REQUEST!" Darrius yelled out very dramatically. Usually they did this sort of thing in the movies so Darrius figured why not do it now.
Altair's eyes widened as the girl sudden grasped his waist and began to cry once more. Slowly glancing down at the girl, Altair softly smiled as he raised his hand and pet the girl's hair like he usually did "I already told you didn't I? I will always be there for you, I promise....but Heidi you have to make me a promise. Promise me that whenever you have a problem, no matter how hard it is to do so...please tell me so I can try to help you...alright?" Altair said with a smile. Darrius's smile widened upon noticing his body suddenly gain interest. "Now this little experiment is a simple one, one where we prove a little theory of mine or not" Darrius said as he crossed his arms and smirked "As you can see we both have switched body all too magically. If my sources are to believed then this is the work of a mere demoness" Darrius said shaking his head "of course this all sound like mumbo jumbo, but it doesn't hurt to try and and test this out" Darrius said opening his eyes and spread out his arms "Let us try to summon forth the demoness! She needs a catalyst and one of us shall become it! The other shall speak to her themself!" Darrius said.
"And I assume that your Aunt Stacy must treat you like crap" Altair said as he stood up and walked up to the girl and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I would never treat you any different from the way I do now." Altair said closing his eyes as he let out a sigh "Nothing will change at all, I just wanted to know from your own word, so I can help you" Altair said giving her a soft smile Help? Isn't it far more than that? "So don't worry, just stick by me if you wish" Altair said. A broken girl...wouldn't she be the perfect tool to observe? "I'll protect you" Altair said. His head began to hurt, but he would dare show it now. The girl had endured her share of pain and he would do all it took to help her from this pain, but could he really say that she was better off with him? Could he really stay true to his words? He truly wished to stick to those words. Step by step he walked on towards his destination. Walking down the streets and into the building, Darrius smiled as he stood before the door before him. Closing his eyes Darrius twisted the knob and kicked the door open. To his delight somebody was actually inside "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'VE ARRIVED!" Darrius yelled as he walked in an raised an eyebrow upon realizing just who was inside the room "and daaaaaaaaaaaaamn its all sexy in here. I guess my body is to thank for that" Darrius said happily as he walked up to his body. He was pleased to see his body in good shape, which made him feel a bit ashamed for not taking care of his new body. "Sooooooooo how are things? wanna work on a little experiment with me?!" Darrius said leaning his arm on Elliot's shoulder.
That night ended with Altair sleeping on a chair with his arms crossed. Time moved on and morning hit. Before the teen could even open his eyes a sound reached his ears. A peculiar new story was being played in the background and Altair listened to it thoroughly despite pretending to be fast asleep. His little waiting game had come to an end and now it was time he had to confront the girl himself. The time to play ignorant had come to an end and he could not ignore hearing this newscast. "Heidi...you've still never told me anything about yourself" Altair said before opening his eyes and staring over at the girl. "There is no point in hiding anything, I want to hear your story with your own words, not from any of the documents or rumours I've heard" Altair said. Those strange voices she heard, the self-pain she endured, Altair never took a blind eye to all of that. Altair had done all his research and so did the old man. He could have said something, but he waited, he wanted to hear the words from Heidi's own mouth and to know she was comfortable enough to tell him.
DAY 24 December 23rd, Sunday Where was he? What was he doing here? Ah...yes...he wished to use this body, but why did he pass out like this? What was his name? Darrius?......Ah yes...thats what the name was...but this body didn't match....how odd....why was he so lightheaded this morning.. Well that didn't matter now...things have all returned to his mind so there was no need to question anything further. Sitting up Darrius let out a loud yawn as he began to stretch. Many things had crept across the teen's mind and really he was stumped about what he should do next. Dusting his clothes Darrius smiled as he stretched once more. "Hey, we had a pretty fun time last night didn't we?" Darrius said. There was no response. "........aw don't give me the silent treatment like that...I'll tell you what...I'll make it up to you by vamoosing out of here...kay?" Darrius said as he looked over his shoulder and sighed ".....fine fine have it your way" Darrius said as he walked out of the apartment room. Where to next? would the wind guide him on and tell him were to next? he really thought about his next destination, but a certain conversation still burned in his mind. It was a peculiar conversation that had happened when he was at the cafe, drinking his tea. They spoke of their next plan, and interestingly enough they spoke of summoning a demoness and bargaining lives...."how interesting" Darrius said never really thinking about it like that. A demon needed a catalyst...how interesting...
Hmm I'd say without since he can probably work towards regaining them later on
Altair could only smile as Zoey began to speak about the girls sleeping on one bed. With all the trouble Heidi has given him when it came to where she slept, Altair was grateful that he didn't have to say anything to convince the two ladies to sleep on a bed. "Alright then ladies have a good nap" Altair said as he glanced over at Casey and Marcus "You guys have whatever is left to sleep on" Altair said with a smile. Altair planned to keep a watch for a bit just in case of snakes entered the room. With a sigh Altair's attention was drawn to the ring of his own phone. Raising his eyebrow he glanced down at the phone and watched it ring. Nobody really called him except for the old man and from the number he could tell it wasn't him. Even if it was him, he had the problem of not being in his body. If he attempted to mimic his old voice then he was sure that it would come out totally fake. Despite all this Altair answered without a word. Hearing the request for Heidi, Altair glanced over at Heidi "Hey its for you" Altair said covering the receiver before tossing the phone over to Heidi. He could have replied with a simple yes but he felt Heidi should speak to the person herself.
Yeah I did~ Can I also claim Bryne from Spirit Tracks as well?
With a mere sigh, Altair closed the door immediately and let out a sigh as the two were safely inside the room "I figured you changed back, god praise our luck that I decided to open that door" Altair said as he walked back towards the bed and sat upon it "I never figured I would be using this for something like that, but I'm grateful I had it on me" Altair said with a sigh as he glanced back at the two "I'm glad to see you two are here, it puts my mind at ease" Altair said with a smile. It was odd to see some random guy speak like that to him, he definitely sounded like Altair but he looked totally different. Shifting his eyes over to the side he noticed Altair's body. It confused him at first but then he recalled the earlier situation and come up with the solution "Tarry is that you? and why is it so bloody cold in here?" Casey said shivering. Altair could only smiled as he glanced back "yup its me, we've gotta keep this room cold in order to drive away any snakes, there are extra clothing other there so bundle up and be carful. The more layers the more harder poison can reach the body" Altair explained to the two as he gripped his gun. WHo knew where these snakes could have been. Just because the place was cold didn't mean they were totally safe
Casey remained cautious on their way as they continued on their path. He noticed the elevator up ahead but he knew that it was an absolutely horrible idea. If only Tommy was here, then he would have felt much more safe. Tommy would have totally kicked all the snakes asses. You maybe be saying "But Snakes don't have asses" but Tommy's awesomeness made it possible. Glancing back at Heidi he immediately followed her toward the staircase. Alongside Heidi he climbed up the stairs. Upon reaching the hallway, Casey smiled as he glanced down it "Hey Heididy we are almost-" Casey began to say but immediately paused upon noticing her rush forward "Hey wait hold on!" Casey said as he rushed after her. Rushing like that was not safe but he needed to help Heidi if anything came up. He continued to run ahead and eventually reached Heidi. He let out a sigh but immediately froze upon realizing the situation they were in "s-s-snake!" Casey said in fear. Everything slowed down in the teens mind and he felt like this was the end, but a sound came from behind, a very quiet creak and... BANG The snake fell dead and from behind the two in the hallway were dragged into the cold room of Altair.
"D-D-Dye...my hair.." Casey said totally stunned by the realization. The thought absolutly never came up in his mind and in reality it was a brilliant idea. Sure the topic of why his hair dye didn't run out echoed through his mind, but this mere fact was far to stunning to care. Casey's eyes began to sparkle,he was giddy with excitement and wished to hug Heidi for the wonderful idea, but that had to come to a stop upon hearing her say that they should be quiet. Before the boy realized it he was suddenly pulled by Heidi and they continued on. The sudden sound of what sounded like snakes reached the teen's ears and he immediately began to sweat. Casey was nervous, but he had to remain tough since Heidi was with him. He told himself that he should be grateful that they weren't spiders and that they would get out without a problem. Hearing Heidi speak again calmed the teen's mind even more. He matched speeds with Heidi and looked up at her while she spoke. "Ah well my mommy like my hair long like this, she says it makes me handsome" Casey said closing his eyes with a smile. "though even though she likes to play around with my hair, I'm still glad she like it like this" Casey said. The time he spent with his mother and father were always the most precious times for the teen. Though they never saw each other much, they still knew they loved each other very much.
Spoiler: Three years Later
Casey could only sigh as they walked on and merely shrugged his shoulder "I guess I really need to work on my observation skills, they need a lot of work still I guess" Casey said. Casey could only walk on with a smile upon his face but the moment he heard those dreadful words he immediately stopped in his tracks. For a mere moment he just stood there and then suddenly began to pull on his hair in anguish "ITS BECAUSE OF FATE" Casey tearfully cried out. He just continued to weep and pull his hair. Letting out a roar of anguish, Casey began to weep once more "Lack of reaching puberty is one of the reasons....but all my sorrows....ALL OF IT I-IS BECAUSE OF THAT BASTARD ALTAIR" Casey yelled with a mix of tears and anger. Spoiler: Pursuit of Manliness "Tarrryyyyyyyyyy" "hm? whats up?" "everybody keeps picking on me about my hair!" "You try kicking their ass?" "hell yes but it doesn't work..." "hmmm I've got an idea...that blond hair of yours makes you look like a girl...lets try changing it colour" "great! can you do it for me?!" "I dunno..." "pleeeeease?!" "Oh alright fine. I have the perfect colour for you" "Great! I'll go get ready!" ".......................heheheheheheh" "TH-THE FRIGGIN BASTARD USED PERMANENT HAIR COLOURING ON ME AND TURNED MY HAIR PINK" Casey yelled as he wept. Of course there was one major thing Casey did not realize, that he could dye his hair again to a proper colour. Casey's parents knew this fact but kept it a mere secret. His mother loved the new look of Casey and abused it any chance she got while his father....well he was the nephew of the Damn Old Man, trolling was in his blood.
With arms and legs crossed, Casey watched the two converse and raised an eyebrow. The two seemed very close and well...the other guy kissed her. There was only one logical outcome and well he figured it out. Upon hearing Heidi's stuttering voice, Casey immediately lightened up upon realizing that they would get to see his bro again. "You bet I do" Casey said happily as he rose to his feet.Upon rising to his feet he immediately realized just what he was wearing at the moment and his eye began to twitch "He chose the forbidden clothes mom bought for me" Casey muttered quietly as he looked down at the girly clothes his mom bought. "Next time I see that ******* he is so getting his ass kicked" Casey said softly as he walked towards the door. His anger was great, but Casey decided to calm down due to the fact that Heidi was still with him. He needed a topic to get his mind off his attrocious clothes, and soon enough he recalled the topic he was thinking of earlier "So Heididy if your not Altair girlfriend does that mean that guy earlier was your boyfriend?" Casey asked as they walked out.
Night went by and Altair had fallen fast asleep on the chair that he sat upon. It was a relaxing rest and time moved on, but the time of rest would soon come to an end upon the notice of a single message. His eyes opened up and Altair merely shook his head with a sigh. "Killer snakes...how interesting" Altair said as he stood up on his feet and stretched as he glanced over at Heidi and Marcus "Well then if I've learned anything from my experience, it would be foolish to simply believe this a mere coincidence. Crestetia is up to her mischief again" Altair said with a calm smile as he walked over to the suitcases. Altair began to rummage through the suitcases and once he found what he was looking for he brought out a bunch of clothes. He brought out thick items like sweaters and jackets and immediately tossed them over to the two of them "As the announcer stated, it would be best to bundle up for such a situation in order to avoid snake bites" Altair said as he began to place a sweater and jacket on. "Snakes hate the cold, they are attempting to find warmth for their coldblooded selves. With this I shall be turning down the temperature so that a place like this will be undesirable for them" Altair said. The pain had vanished all too suddenly and Casey Heckles could finally relax in peace...which is what he wish he could have done. Still snoozing away Casey was soon awaken by the voice of the P.A "hmmm? snakes....okay" Casey mumbled as he went back to sleep. Time moved on for a good while until..."HOOOOOOLY SHIT S-S-S-SNAKES?!?! WHAT THE HELL? I-?!" Casey began to yell as suddenly he suddenly stopped and looked down at his body "NOOOOOOOOO MY BODY! ITS RETURNED! DESSSSSPAIRRRRRRRRR" Casey cried out tearfully. True the body he was given was weak before, but it still held far more potential then the current body. Casey could only weep until he noticed two people in the room. One was a familiar face while the other was a total stranger ".........u-um sorry for the loud outburst" Casey said quietly as he lowered his head in shame. Darrius had woken up early that very morning and left his room without care for whoever else was in it. Silently he walked down the streets of Brookridge with a calm smile upon his face. He entered a small cafe and sat down for a nice cup of tea. Everything was peaceful up until the radio put up a very interesting story "Snakes....ah I do love your style madame, you are a true inspiration" Darrius said as he took a sip of tea. Action would be needed, but not now, tea first.
