The save glitch is still a thing, I believe, and highly problematic, so please be careful. There will be a patch soon, or it may be out in the eShop already and I may be late by a few days. Paris is absolutely wonderful, albeit expensive. Whenever you do have the time I recommend staying there for the five days to experience some of it at least, especially with friends who can share the experience. Contrary to stereotypes the people seemed nicer there than I expected but that may have just been because I tried making a rough effort in speaking French through my time there.

Fair point. This problem is one of the reasons why I am jostling around with which Pokemon I want on my team at the moment. At this rate, minus a few, I might just be sticking to the Kalos Pokemon if not simply to try something new, unless certain Pokemon are absolutely necessary to be on my little old team. Playing the game in French is certainly an experience. I learned a new idiom!
Currently in Illumis Lumiose trying to scrounge my way through all the French. I have my suspicions about Lysandre. About to reach Route 5. Team is currently in process with about three current mainstays.

I am actually playing the game in French because I want to develop my French skills with these little things. Also, it would be a new experience for my English-Canadian self as a person who hopes to one day be at least semi-bilingual because I have only played the Pokemon games in English in my childhood. I can read French well enough to be able to get through the text at a fine rate though I still need to stop from time to time to look up a few words or phrases, so it will take a bit longer for me. That being said, the game does start off with the Professor adding in some random French phrases. Très bien!
I knew the server change would continue to bring all of this incessant game lag.
