As Kiara tried to help deal with one problem, another just popped up, now Vallus was fighting too. With Arctus and Luther to deal with, she didn't have time to also deal with Vallus as well, Aeira would have to handle it herself for now. She couldn't save everyone, not this time, and probably not ever. Just for a moment Kiara took her eyes off of those she was battling, a look to Lea, a plea for help. Why had he not stepped in already? Suddenly out of the corner of her eye she caught a flash of fire. While Kiara couldn't look to Lea again to see what he was doing, she had a suspicion that she was right about her guess earlier. It was the girl controlling them. Of course it was, because that made things her fault... again. It was always and would always be considered her fault and at this point Kiara started to believe that was inevitable, the really question was, how was she going to deal with the situation. And perhaps that was growth, maybe, though she often didn't see it, she was making progress on being more of the person she wanted and less of the person everyone hated.

Krista proceeded to go on about her plans, like all villains do, and call all the men over to her, except Koa for some reason. While she certainly tried to get him to bow to her whim, it didn't seem to be effecting the boy. Well at least that was one more person to help them. Still this was bad, very bad. Kiara needed to stall for time as she thought about what she needed to do next.
"You know, are you sure that your boyfriend committed suicide so you could live? I can't see anyone loving you that much. And how could they when you hide behind masks and people all the time. I told that Uniform guy that people weren't objects, but apparently I was talking to the wrong person. It was you who think that people are just dolls to be used and thrown away. I got news for you girly, you will never be the so called "queen bee" with that attitude." She had even Lea on her side here and that was not going to turn out well, no one of them stood a chance facing off head to head with Lea. There had to be a plan somewhere they could use... perhaps that power Koa had used to stop her and Arctus.

Just at Kiara thought that cages burst forth from the ground meanwhile Melus was already providing support. Alright Kiara had her plan.
"I will deal with the girl, Aeira, I need you to help protect Koa. He needs to be able to maintain the cages, meaning he will be a target. Do what you can without getting yourself killed. Melus if you find cover take it and provide me with cover fire. If the cages fail we retreat and regroup. No one is fit to fight Lea head on by themselves, and we might not be able to deal with them all safely. If the uniformed guy shows up again, and I know I am guilty of this lass time, but do not engage, he seemed interested in Krista more than anything, let him deal with her." Kiara rattled off her thoughts and orders quickly as she took up her position ready to fight. Perhaps it wasn't her place to try and play leader, but Lea had put some faith in her and it was better this than not having sufficient communication between them. Sure there was a little talking between them, but not enough in her opinion. Besides she had been in plenty of tough battles before and worked with others to overcome them, this was no different, just a different group of people to entrust her life with. While that made her a little nervous, Kiara pushed herself to ignore it. She knew that her time would be short in which she had a chance to do stuff, so she had to act now and not think about what others thought of her.

Taking the opportunity that Koa provided Kiara started moving, but not directly towards Krista. Instead she dodged around making a circle around the caged team members, keeping wide of the cages. She knew that they could still attack her through the cage if she got too close to them. They might also attempt to throw weapons at her, but that was a risk she had to take in order to get in close to Krista. She was after all a closer ranged fighter and couldn't do much from afar.
"Lets dance." Kiara echoed Melus' sentiment as she got closer to Krista.

Aaron let himself be dragged on deck, processing the words. Owners. So that was why he wasn't dead yet, there was other plans for him were there? Too bad that Thorvald had stopped taking so many precautions. Once on deck Aaron took note of how few men were still on deck, and how many less were paying attention to him. This was the point that he could use his witcher training. He might have been without his weapons now, but that didn't mean he couldn't do some damage. "You know I just might have something else to say...." Aaron started with a bit of a smirk before he lunged for the man, trying to head butt him in the gut followed by getting his manacles around the mans neck. If he could do all that, if he managed to pull this off, Aaron might be able to kill the man who kidnapped him before he was handed over to his new, so called owners. Being chained would make things more difficult, but nothing that he couldn't handle, not if he really tried and put his focus into it. He might still have been a new witcher but he had trained for a long time and survived the trials, he could survive this too.

Cerdic turned to Alder after Mora spoke. "The kid is right you know. As much as I don't want to just leave this place to its demise, we should secure another safe place. We don't have much luck left here, we can fight all we want, but what if we fail? If we fail here and it spreads, then what? Where would be safe? This might just be the best way to cut our losses." Cerdic pointed out. Meanwhile he tried not to pay attention to what Daeni was saying. He knew if he paid mind to it, that was going to get him worked up again. Chrono, or Aevum as it were, and his involvement in all of this, it still had Cerdic on edge and he didn't want to trust the boy at all. Perhaps he was wrong about the boy but he still wasn't sure. For now he wanted to deal with Ria and then Aevum would be dealt with after, however without any solid safe place or plan it was hard. "Can we just get going before hiding in here for too long ends up biting us in the butts and we are caught or killed."

Giving the Light Chaser a nod, Tinarah turned to the portal he opened. It was bright and at first she felt the need to shield her eyes from the bright light. She didn't remember the portals that Choma opened being so bright. After a moment her eyes adjusted enough that she thought that she could see through. With that she decided to walk forward and head into the portal, looking back at Aria, giving her a short wave goodbye. She was going to find her brother and then go back to find Aria and help her out. As the Light Chaser waved her off with his words Tinarah finally took a deep breath before stepping into the portal.

Reaching the other side Tinarah looked around expecting to see the beach or the city that they were in, but she wasn't there. From what Tinarah could tell, she was on a bridge, but not one like the one that brought them to the city. Looking around there really wasn't much to see, just grey. Nervously Tinarah took a step forward and looked around trying to see where the bridge lead to.
"H-hello!" Tinarah called out trying to figure out if anyone else was around, even if she didn't see anyone. Spinning around she turned back towards the portal hoping it was there and Light Chaser could help her out, but it was also gone. Taking another few steps forward she looked around again, hoping to figure out more of where she was and what was going on, but to no avail.

With nothing and no one around Tinarah was not left with many options. She started walking along the bridge, her arms crossed over her, hugging herself. Every now and then she would stop and look around trying to see if anything changed, and so far it didn't seem like it was.
"Where am I?" She whispered softly. "Where did you send me? Why am I here? I thought I was going back to my brother. Why did you do this to me?" She mumbled, blaming Light Chaser for making her go there. He said he was powerful, if he was that powerful he could get her back to her friends, but he didn't. Fear and confusion wrapped tight around her as she walked, bringing tears to her eyes. Tinarah always had problems with abandonment, leaving her there by herself instead of returning her to her friends only added to her abandonment issues.

Cerdic listened to Mora's theories about where the tunnels lead. He supposed that made enough sense, just a far place to run. And while getting away from the area was good if there was a quicker way out using their keyblade gliders, then there was no reason to go that way. Cerdic shrugged off his suggestion while the others talked, Daeni theorizing about slaves and Alder talked about possible weapons. "We have weapons and magic we knew how to use, weapons that are not in our comfort zone won't help." Cerdic pointed out. Weapons were only as good as the people who were using them.

Alder also didn't want to escape but stay and fight.
"Stop being so stupid. We aren't going to win this one, not now. This place has gone to hell, lets take the one person who survived somewhere safe and then maybe we can find a place where we have the advantage and fight there." Cerdic suggested looking at the exit that Mora pointed out that they should use. Perhaps he was being a coward again, but he would rather live than go into something with only hopes that he could win. Cerdic didn't have high hopes for them here, they had to do something or get out if they can.

It seemed that her attacks were enough to get her back on her feet. Kiara was thankful for that as she dodged and ducked back. This wasn't her first fight ever and it sure as hell wouldn't be her last. She knew that she shouldn't fight it though, not because she didn't think that she could win, Kiara knew that she could if she tried, but this was supposed to be a team mate and if she fought him, she might take it too far. It was his own fault of course but that didn't mean she should go all out and try to kill the man. He would be dealt with in time, like this girl would be. Kiara couldn't help but wonder if maybe it was a power of the girl that made them do this, perhaps she shouldn't have been brought along after all. It wasn't the time to focus on that though, not with a fight in front of her.

Using one arm Kiara tried to cover her face as Arctus threw dirt up at her, Kiara got ready for an attack with the other. She was forced to jump back out of the way without attacking the first time, but she wasn't going to hide. As soon as she hit the ground she sent her whip flinging out at his legs, if she could make him collapse and disarm him then that would make her happy. She just wanted this over and done with, before she took it too far. However she wasn't allowed to take it too far as one of the other boys stood in her way, creating a wall of metal between them. Just as that happened, Kiara was also hit with a spell, but not a bad spell, but something to support her. Turning she saw Melus fighting Luther. So she was not the only one to be attacked. It seemed like Melus needed help, and Kiara wasn't about to leave her teammate alone. With Koa creating a wall between them, Kiara turned around and flung her whip towards Luther, hoping to catch him by surprise as she aimed for his arm to get him to drop his weapon.

Everyone chipped in a little bit on the explanation of what happened. Kiara took a step back in the mean time. Her emotions were too high and she was just annoyed enough that nothing she said would turn out well. The other team seemed to be a little more calm and level headed and dealt with the situation. The girl sat down as per the old mans suggestion, but Kiara made sure to keep close to the girl. It wasn't that she didn't think that Lea or the others could handle it if the girl acted out, but she was the one who brought the girl here. In some way she was her responsibility. Not her responsibility enough however for Kiara to be bothered to help Lea take notes, or ask any additional questions. She listened to the questions though, taking notes on the information. Part of her was with Melus however on not trusting the girl and took everything she said with a grain of salt.

As she listened there was suddenly a pain in her back followed by her knees buckling, Kiara fell forward but already had her hands ready to brace herself and counter. She didn't know what threat was behind her, but she didn't need to know in order to counter. As she hit the ground her hands braced herself as she swung her legs around to trip the person behind her in a sweeping motion. Turning over after she saw Arctus standing above her.
"So your fit is escalating is it? Nice try." With that she reached up and blasted fire giving herself a moment to grab her whip. She wished that she had her keyblade that she could summon instantly. Being new to her weapon was a disadvantage here but she would make it work. Taking any opening she could get she tried to get to her feet, hoping between trying to trip him and the fire ball there was time to get up.

Even though she was freaking out and leaving Aria, Aria didn't seem mad about it. The girl only looked at her with kind eyes as she knelt down in front of her and began to speak to her. While Aria seemed to talk to her as if she was younger than she actually was. However given how Tinarah was reacting, she couldn't really say anything about it. She deserved to be treated like that, and in the end it was actually helping her. Nodding Tinarah just listened to what Aria had to say. There was not much she could say back, or if there was she didn't know how to express it. So she stared for a moment until Aria asked for a hug.

Tinarah stepped closer to Aria and gave the girl a big hug. She managed to keep herself from crying this time at least. She held Aria for a good long moment before whispering in the girls ear
"I will return and bring the others to help you." She affirmed. Tinarah hoped that she was being quiet enough that Light Chaser wouldn't hear her. She still didn't know what to think of the man, so she figured that it was better safe than sorry. She wasn't ever planning to completely leave Aria. She didn't like the idea of leaving her behind, but she had to least she could get help by leaving. She couldn't say the same about staying here.

Finally she stepped away and looked to the other student and then back to the light chaser. Giving him the man a nod she hoped he would understand to take her back, without having to say a word. Tinarah wasn't in a talking mood and Aria managed to sum up everything that she was trying to say earlier with being overwhelmed and such. There really wasn't much else to say without embarrassing herself more.

While Aislinn was trying to be nice and be helpful and talk with Luna, she didn't seem to be that interested in talking. Luna admitted that she had a lot on her mind, and while Aislinn would be more than happy to sit down and listen, providing feedback where possible, instead Luna tried to encourage her to go back to the others. "Are you sure that there isn't something you want to talk about?" Aislinn asked a little concerned. It wasn't usual that people pushed others away without a reason, and Aislinn wanted to see if she could help the girl with it, but she wouldn't allow such things.

Kel came over to join them and Aislinn was relieved. Perhaps Luna wouldn't feel bad for keeping her from the others if more people were here. However Aislinn noticed how that also was responded to with vague answers and more being pushed away. Aislinn started to look seriously worried. "If there is anything-" Aislinn was cut off however by seeing Ignis. It was confusing what was going on, why the girl was destroying the furniture. Given that there was others around Ignis to help however, Aislinn tried to turn her attention back to Luna. "You aren't the only one who saw weird copies of people you know, I saw Xara. I think they are just doing this to get to us though, a test of will and wit. I am sure it is fine." Aislinn tried to encourage the girl.

Again her encouragement only went so far as what ever was going on with Ignis got worse and eventually lead to her on the floor crying. Luna left then to go help the girl and Aislinn looked to Kel a bit worried and confused. She shrugged at the boy and took off her cloak and laid it on a clear area of the ground. "Come, lay down here and try to calm down." Aislinn told Ignis not sure what else to do in the situation. Chances were people who knew her better would be trying to help more, so once the cloak was on the ground Aislinn stepped back to give everyone space, just observing the small group instead joining them.

    Original Song | Karaoke

Welcome to the sign up for our first KHVC. For those of you who don't know, how this will work is that I there will be lines with numbers beside them. The numbers indicate a part. You can select a number and sing all lines with that same number. When recording it is asked that you sing to the Karaoke track and not the original, due to the two not always lining up. If you want to participate but all lines are claimed, you may speak to me and I will make a place for you, all you have to do is ask.

A few notes on this particular song with the instrumental compared to the voiced track. The instrumental ends the song earlier than the voiced track, and because of that we will be ending the song around the 2:00 mark of the original version. The instrumental also has the "oooh oooh" part included in it, so there is no need to sing it if you don't wish to.

You have until Sunday, October 15th to claim your lines. The lines must be in by Sunday, October 22nd

For some reason Tinarah didn't trust that she was just brought there to be healed. While she had to admit that it was rather impressive that he was able to get rid of a scar that not even Choma was able to help her get rid of, it still didn't sit right. There was no point behind it, no gain for him, and from what Tinarah knew of humans they didn't do things that didn't prove beneficial to them. Perhaps she had a lack of faith in humanity, but in her eyes it was justified. In the end she didn't see a reason to trust anyone, even her own brother had left her and went off on his own, leaving her in her own pit of darkness.

The Light Chaser started talking about his cloak and while it was unsettling, it wasn't at the top of her priority list. Whatever he was talking about, that power, it was interesting, but didn't make sense why he had so much power, or what the power actually was. It could be information that helped her decide whether or not to trust the man. However Tinarah had a good feeling that asking about it wouldn't get her anywhere. So instead she just listened to whatever else he had to say, answering their questions. Trying to explain why Aria couldn't go back didn't help much. To some extent it was understandable, she got the basic concept, but it was still weird and hard to grasp what this "Princess of Heart" thing actually was or meant. There was a suspicion though that no matter how many times she asked, the answer would never get anymore clear.

Finally it came back to her and returning her home. He offered her time to speak with Aria... but Tinarah was just confused and frightened. She knew she needed to tell her brother what had happened here and didn't particularly want to wait around. She looked up at Aria, but then looked back to The Light Chaser.
"Please I just want to go back to my brother." Her eyes were slightly glazed over, once more looking like she was about to cry. "I-I just want to go back and see my brother. Please." Tinarah then looked back at Aria. "I am sorry... I don't mean to leave you like this. It isn't that I don't want to help. I just don't know. I am sorry. I just need to go back to something familiar. I just.... I..." Tinarah tried to justify her reasoning but it turned into a bunch of upset rambling that didn't seem to make much sense. She didn't want to leave Aria behind, and she did like the girl, but talking with Chrono would help her clear her mind and certainly he would know how to handle this better than her. Currently she was out of her element and wasn't sure how to handle it.

Let me recount a story for you about the Canadian and the Texmexican:

    Night has fallen
Boredom, accompanied by the cold of the black sky, has settled in
The small Canadian child, packing her room, pauses to listen
Distantly, she can hear the sounds of gunshots and burgers frying
Fear begins to set in, for she has experienced this monster before.
Quickly running to her closet, she pulls out a box labeled "Liberal legislature"
Opening the box and pulling out the glowing scroll, she pins it to her door just as the sounds draw closer
Amidst the chaotic sounds of oil spilling and shots being fired, she can hear the sound of Pokémon theme music drifting up the stairs
Quickly, she opens the false bottom in the box, pulling out her secret weapon. "Pikachu, I choose you." she whispers, tossing the small Pokeball towards the door
Out emerges the yellow mouse, squeaking with rage
He charges his attack as the Canadian child hides under the bed. The house explodes into a ball of light as the mouse screams its battle cry before charging the monster at the door
And thusly, the Canadian child bested the Pokémon thieving, conservative, gun toting *******

Auburn was sitting quietly when the attention was brought back to her and her fighting. Of course it would, not that it was a bad thing. Besides the fact she was a bit nervous with people, she was rather proud of her fighting and all that her father had taught her. She was proud to be her fathers daughter after all, even if they weren't actually related. She didn't remember enough of her real father to know if she took after him or not, so she was happy just talking as though her adopted father was her father and letting people believe that if they so chose.

Glancing up only slightly Auburn rallied the nerves to actually speak to her teammate that was talking to her. She had remained quiet for so long now that it was odd to even think of speaking to them, or how to speak to them. She was happy being back in the corner, nearly invisible... Or at least somewhat happy, when everyone was talking among themselves before the battle started she remembered that she was feeling upset about that, but in the end part of her also believed that she preferred that, as she was now faced with two people and wasn't really sure what to say to them.

"Well... You see...." Auburn hesitated trying to figure out how to explain her "education" on fighting. "My father is a huntsman, a really good one at that. He has been training me most of my life to fight while raising me since he couldn't go out in the field again until recent years." Auburn knew that her father got restless sometimes not being able to go out and do jobs during the time he raised her. In the end he simply had no one else to come care for her if he did go out, so instead he taught her how to fight and put his skills to use that way until she was old enough to be left home alone for several days at a time, only then did he start working slowly once more.

Not long after the conversation ended they were landing in their next location, somewhere safer so it seemed. Stepping from the plane they were introduced to a woman, another story of her fathers come to life. It was weird being here now, seeing everything that was spoken to her about coming true in front of her eyes. There was no words to describe how she felt about it as she stared at the woman, another friend of her fathers. Auburn had always known her father had lots of important friends but she hadn't expected to meet so many of them on her first day at the academy.

From the landing pad they were lead to an inn where the woman started to explain things. Again why was this all being put on them. There were so many great huntsmen out there, why was a group of children being asked to deal with this. Why did lady Brisa believe they could do it? It didn't make any sense to her, surely there was at least older students that could help with this. Auburn wanted to bring that up, wanted to say something, but she was too shy. She was worried about speaking up. She thought perhaps she could ask privately later, but as soon as Glynda finished speaking they were dismissed and the innkeeper was called to escort them out. Auburn didn't try to argue as she once again made herself seem small and shuffled along to her room.

Arriving back Kiara was clearly not in a good mood as Lea asked about their "New Friend." "She is a pawn of Nequa's don't know if we should trust her or not." Kiara stated jerking her chin to Melus to hand her over to Lea. "And since everyone seems to think it is so damn important to bring up. We ran into another army dude who knows my father, also trapped here. So that was fun." She stated giving a pointed glare to Arctus. "Now moving on. What now? I am not ready to just sit around." She stated, knowing that she was worked up enough to keep going and hopefully fighting. There was enough anger worked in her veins, and she wanted to change enough that she needed an outlet that was not her teammates.

Arriving back at Game Central Station, Aislinn looked around at everyone who was back. Not everyone was there but a good portion of them had come back and began to talk among themselves. Taking a step back she smiled at the group, how well they were interacting with each other. They were all good friends and they all seemed to look forward to sharing their stories with each other. This was the kind of closeness that Aislinn liked to see. It was almost like this small group of friends found a family in among each other.

Aislinn did however notice that one person was off by herself. Aislinn remembered her from the last set of exam. Walking over to Luna she smiled. "Hey, how was your test. It seems like everyone is talking about it, having a good time. You clearly succeeded so, congratulations." Aislinn gave her a warm smile trying to encourage the girl who didn't seem as excited as the rest. "Something else on your mind?" She also asked out of curiosity.

Down in the tunnels Mora started to explain what they were and how the darkness couldn't get into them. That was a certainly interesting little bit of knowledge that he could see in action as Ria hasn't been able to follow him, but he still wondered how it worked. What exactly was it preventing Ria from getting down here? How did this thing stop the darkness. He supposed that it wasn't worth the questions though and he should just be grateful that it existed. Mora also mentioned how she didn't need the lamp but they might. He looked at her quizzically as he took a seat. "So... you can see in the dark then? That is interesting." He mused taking in the details, studying her eyes in particular rather closely. He wondered how long the people had been living in that underground city for them to have evolved to the point that they could see in the darkness well. He thought that would take a very long time and hadn't expected that to actually happen, but apparently it did.

Mora then started to explain about the different paths that were down there and he glanced at them as they spoke. Two of the passages didn't seem to matter much, but the other two. One seemed like an easy escape, while the other they weren't sure where it lead, but if they were told to go there in case anything happened to the town... well maybe there was something there to help.
"Mora I know you said that you never made it to the end of the western mountains tunnel. But do you know if there is anything on the other side. If you were supposed to head there if there was trouble, maybe something was anticipated and maybe someone prepared for it." Cerdic suggested sounding somewhat hopeful. Maybe they had an easy out, or a place of safety to work with. He could only hope that was the case.

It still didn't make sense. Tinarah still didn't really understand this talk about people with pure hearts, no darkness at all. Princesses of Hearts as he called them. He also claimed that Aria was one of these and what she could gather, he needed Aria there for whatever he was working on. Tinarah started to wonder if Aria was being kept there willingly or if she even knew what he had planned for her. Sure he might have saved her from the darkness, or something along those lines, but that didn't mean Aria would help him with his goal, would it? She didn't really know what this Kingdom Hearts, thing was but it didn't sound good to her, as he talked of it's power. This was all just starting to hurt her head, too much information, too fast. It was too confusing.

Tinarah took another step back from the man, for what she had started to trust him with and talking more freely, she wasn't feeling as confident with. It wasn't that he seemed to be lying, but he was talking about all this stuff that she didn't quite understand it was making her nervous. More than that she had caught what the man said, or more so how he had said it. He had specified that he wouldn't hurt Aria, but what about her? Did he not specify because he planned to return her to her friends soon enough anyways, or did he not say that to both of them because he had had something else planned for her?

Rubbing her eyes seeming a little tired but more confused than anything she looked up at the Light Chaser from under her eyelashes. Her head was still tilted down looking at her feet but she brought her eyes up a little so she could see him somewhat.
"Are you going to take me back to my brother then?" She asked sounding rather hopeful. She knew he wouldn't let her take Aria with her, but if she could get back to Chrono, she could tell him all that happened and then they as a group could come and get Aria back. She hoped it wouldn't be too hard to do. She would get Aria back with them, but first she needed to make sure that she herself was going to be okay.

Instinctively she grabbed at her wrist at the scar that was usually there, but when she felt no pain from gripping at it Tinarah seemed confused for a moment before remembering how the man had healed it for her. The scars were never all that painful, but there was some damage to the tissue around it and it would often hurt like any bruise would when you pushed on it. To be without it, should have been a relief, but it felt weird. Almost like the fear she let it bring was a comfort of its own. If she was afraid she was more careful, so it was a reminder to be careful in a sense. It was a stupid sentiment she knew, barely even made sense, but still she found herself switching what hand was holding what wrist just to have that feeling again. And perhaps it not being there was pushing her to believe the man more when something deep down told her to doubt. He had healed her, so she should trust her, but he only healed her part way, so she tried to remind herself to trust him only part way. He wasn't like Chrono, he wasn't like Choma. He hadn't known him long enough to know what he was like but it was only his actions that gave her comfort, not his words, unlike Chrono or Choma. In the end the man just confused her until the point she gave up trying to question it.
