Right, by the way, when you get to finishing the story, read this: Okay, so, you probably all wanna know what happened to Xehanort's lookalike. Well everyone decided to ignore him for the moment so Kairi could have a good time with Sora, who knows, I might make a sequel.

    When The Last Hero Falls…

Authors note: This story is about Kairi and Sora, but I’m not saying anymore, I want you guys to read it… not a very long note… well… enjoy!

    Chapter One (1): Darkness Returns

Sora jumped up to slash his Key blade at this unknown enemy, this enemy had a slight resemblance to Xemnas, but he had more power, as Sora gripped his Key blade tight he swung it with incredible power to hit the enemy’s stomach, but the enemy blocked it. Sora landed on the ground and dodge rolled to catch his breath.

Now it was Riku’s time to shine, Riku had learnt from Sora’s attack that jumping directly did nothing, but if it was used properly, it might possibly come in handy, so he had to think of a little strategy before the enemy got to Kairi and Naminé, who were sitting a little distance away. Riku stared at the enemy in concentration, trying to see behind the attacks, he closed his eyes and thought of a strategy that might work.

Riku held his Key blade with both hands pointing in front of him, causing a bright light to appear, which blocked the enemy’s sight, as Xemnas’ lookalike rubbed his eyes trying to fix his vision, Riku jumped behind him, stabbing the enemy in the back. Xemnas’ lookalike let out a bloodcurdling yell of pain, Riku fell back and landed on the ground, he stared at Roxas, “Finish the guy off, Roxas.”

He said, trying to catch his breath. Roxas wielded two key blades, oblivion and oath keeper, “HERE YOU DIE, OLD MAN!” He yelled as he ran up to the lookalike, but before Roxas could attack, the old man looked up and smiled, the old man concentrated his energy on the power he had, making a big orb of electricity covering his fist, he punched Roxas in the stomach.

Roxas flew into the dusty ground, trying to sit up; he tried to catch his breath to get his energy back, “ROXAS!” Roxas heard a familiar voice scream, Naminé was running up to him as fast as she possibly could, she skidded down beside Roxas wiping the dust off his back. But Roxas didn’t look at her, his eyes were glued to something in horror, Naminé looked to where Roxas was facing, and in horror she couldn’t look away either…

The old man had the electricity around his fist but he was heading for Sora, and Sora didn’t notice because he was looking down trying to catch his breath, the man ran so quietly on the dirt, but when Sora looked up, it was too late, the lookalike had hit Sora with more power then he hit Roxas, as he hit Sora the dust flew up from the ground cracks and blocked everyone else’s sight.

They all blocked their eyes but they wanted to get to Sora as quickly as possible. Kairi had watched the whole thing, and she didn’t care if the dust got in her eyes, she jumped up and ran through the dust and dropped on the ground to feel if anyone was near, she felt a piece of metal shaped like a crown, and urgently she knew it was Sora, she also knew that the lookalike would have been beside Sora, so she used her fist to punch something near, but all she hit was thin air, the lookalike had gone.

Rubbing the dust away from their eyes, everyone looked around, when the ground had settled and the dust was gone, they heard a scream from far off, it was Kairi, they all got up to look around and when the fog from the dust cleared, they saw Kairi, drenched in Sora’s blood, crying and shaking.

Chapter two (2): Heartbreak and Pain

Everyone ran up to Kairi to comfort her as she was shaking her head and trying to speak over her blocked throat, as if she had dry swallowed a big pill. “No, no, no, no, NO!” She cried, staring at the blood that covered her hand, Kairi dropped down and put her head on Sora’s chest, trying to see if she could hear his heart, sadly, there was no beating, she tightly grabbed onto Sora’s shirt, her tears dripping onto the blue fabric, Naminé put her arm on Kairi’s shoulder to comfort her as Riku and Roxas bent down to check Sora’s injury.

They looked at each other with worried faces. They couldn’t just forget him, even though he was dead, they needed to take him back to the island, so as Naminé helped Kairi up, Riku put Sora’s arm around his shoulders and began walking, making sure Sora wasn’t dragging on the ground, “You helped me home, buddy. Now it’s time I help you.” Riku said as he began walking.

Naminé opened a portal to get back to the island, as the group walked back, they were figuring out what to do now. “Let’s have Sora’s funeral tomorrow, tonight at midnight we’ll build a memorial for him, and we’ll get everything from hollow bastion, Leon and Cloud have a lot of building tools to help us.” Said Riku,

“And the girls can help us pick some flowers for everyone to put on the memorial.” Added Naminé, “Then it’s settled, are you okay with that Kairi?” Asked Roxas, Kairi nodded, still crying. “We’ll go to my house now, we’ll write about the funeral on the paper I have at home, and put them at each front door on the island, also, everyone should wear black. You can all stay at my place for the night, my parent’s are on some business trip, they both started they’re own business.” Said Naminé.

Chapter Three (3): Distant Memories Never Leave You

As they got to Naminé’s house, the boys grabbed some paper and began writing ‘invites.’ Naminé knew Kairi was still upset so she went to make hot chocolates, and Kairi had gone off to the bathroom to wash off the blood from her hands. When she got back Naminé handed her a blanket and her hot chocolate, Kairi sat back on the couch, wiping the tears away from her face.

Riku got up to call Leon on the phone and tell him to come to Destiny Islands, when he walked back into the lounge room Kairi looked up and said quietly “W-Where’s Sora’s … Body…?” Riku looked down at her and smiled “He’s lying in the spare room on the bed right now.” Riku turned around and walked to the shelf with all the memorable pictures, he stared at one with Sora and Kairi, eating a Paopu fruit,

“I remember when you and Sora ate your first Paopu fruit Kairi, and Sora choked on his piece.” Laughed Riku,

“And we all had to help him swallow it so he wouldn’t ruin that night.” Kairi smiled a little, and then Roxas got up, walked over to the shelf as well and stared a different photo, of Sora standing behind a money raising stand. “And that time when you lost all your munny at sea, and Sora made a stand for you, ‘raise money for Kairi’ it was called, and everyone would come up and say ‘What’s wrong with Kairi? Is she okay?’” He said.

Kairi swung the blanket off her and ran down the hallway to the spare room, and she bent down beside the bed on which Sora was lying on. She started to cry again, all those moments, all the memories, she would never experience them again, she sat up on the bed and pulled up Sora’s body to give him one last hug. Meanwhile back in the living room, everyone was curious, “do you think we made her upset?” Asked Riku, “No, she just misses those memories, let’s go check on her.”

Replied Naminé. Back in the spare room, Kairi put Sora back down onto the bed, she put her hand on the right side of his face gently, and a flashback of all the memories flew through Kairi’s mind, the one picture she couldn’t get rid of, was the one she feared most, Sora lying on the ground dead, she put her hands onto her head as she scrunched them up into fists,

as the other three saw Kairi kneeling down shaking they immediately had to figure out the problem, “the picture of Sora’s dead body, it’s Haunting me!” Kairi screamed, she couldn’t take it, she wanted the pain to go away, but that picture wouldn’t get out of her mind. “Kairi, calm down and take a deep breath,” said Naminé, “Just keep calm, its okay.” Kairi took her fists off her head and took a deep breath, “I’m… s-sorry, it’s just… seeing Sora… you know… it’s painful, even looking at him, it cut me apart.”

She stopped shaking and took another deep breath. “I share half of your heart Kairi, and I can feel the pain that you’re feeling, and I know I can’t exactly say I know how you feel, but… I know you’re strong and you can make it through this.” Naminé said quietly, “We have to go send out the invites, and Leon’s going to be here soon. Do you want to come?” She continued. Kairi nodded slowly.

Chapter Four (4): Building the Chapel Stand

Sending out the invitations and looking at Sora’s photo on each one while sliding them under each neighborhood door upset Kairi, but she knew it was the right thing to do, when everyone had finished, Leon, Cloud, Yuffie, Aerith and Cid walked up from the shore. “We heard about Sora’s death, we’re really sorry.” Said Yuffie, “Well, we’re hoping to build a memorial, you girls can help us pick some flowers, and you boys can help Riku and Roxas build the memorial for tomorrow’s funeral, and if you’re planning to come, you’ll need to wear all black.” Answered Naminé, “You’ve got our help.” Replied Leon.

    -()-

The girls decided to pick Sakura blossoms for the flowers, they made the stems perfect while watching the boys build the memorial stage, they had permission to build it in the church, so they did so, the girls put Sakura blossoms in a small golden brass bowl in the front of the isle so everyone could take one and place it beside Sora’s coffin. By the time the memorial stage was done and the flowers had been placed into the bowl, Yuffie, Cloud, Cid, Leon and Aerith had to go, so they parted back to Hollow Bastion.

The gang walked back to Naminé’s house and set up their clothes for tomorrow by their sleeping bags in the lounge. They were all going to wear black versions of their usual clothes, as Kairi sat down to place her clothes by her bed, she started to cry again, but not as long as last time. Roxas switched on the television to see what was on, Drama, news, and some sort of marathon of a show they liked. They all got into bed and began watching, not long later, everyone was asleep, and as usual, the boy’s were snoring.

    Chapter Five (5): The Funeral

Everyone woke up and took turns taking showers and getting changed in the bathroom, when they were all ready, Kairi grabbed a picture of Sora smiling and took it along with her to church.

When they got there, everyone was seated, some crying, some comforting, some completely broken down, everyone was devastated to lose such an important person of the island. As Kairi and the others sat down in front, a slideshow of Sora with his favorite song began to play. Looking at all the photos, Kairi missed Sora more and more by the minute.

When the slideshow was over, Kairi and the others got up and walked up to the stage to talk with a microphone, they began their speeches: Riku first.

“In a world none of you have visited, I was attacked by mysterious monsters and I couldn’t walk, Sora was the only one there to help me, I disagreed that we would get out of the place we were in, I was being so negative, but that didn’t stop Sora, he told me to think positive, and when he put my arm around his shoulders and began walking, we ended up in the dark side of destiny islands, and Sora and I decided to tell the truth to each other…”

Riku shed a tear and got a little angry.

“…I thought I was better then him, and Sora thought so too, but now I truly know whose better, I was jealous of Sora, and I know why, He was a better sport rival, a better friend, and overall, a better person.” Riku walked off the podium and sat back down in front, now it was Roxas’ go.

“I never really met Sora a lot, but when I fought with him in the world that never was, to finally meet a guy a strong as him, was quite an experience, but now that he’s gone, it’s not as happy in the world as it used to be. Sora was a great person and everyone knew that, he’d help people he had never even met, and defeat a monster he didn’t know the weaknesses of; no one could ever be as great as Sora, and that’s why we’ll never forget him.”

Roxas walked off, now it was Naminé’s go.

“I never knew Sora much, but giving him back his happy memories was one of the most memorable times of my life, because I knew how much he missed Kairi and Riku. After finally meeting him again and moving to this island, the group and I had a lot of great times together and Sora was the one keeping us all together.

I know he was a very important person on this island, and he never backed down on his word, so I know we’re all going to miss him, and he’s never going to be forgotten.” She walked back down off the podium and sat beside Roxas, giving Kairi a comforting look.

Kairi stepped up to the microphone and gulped, she was a little nervous about talking, but she tried to talk anyway. “Sora was… the one person in my life I could always lean on, before Riku was the talkative type… and he’d always be so strong for everyone, when we shared that Paopu fruit, it was one of the happiest moments of my life.”

    Kairi started crying again,

“And incase Sora, you never figured it out, I loved you, always have, always will.” Kairi rushed down to her seat trying to see clearly through her tears. She sat down pulling a tissue from the box under her seat.

    Chapter Six (6): Desperate Dream

When Sora’s funeral ended, everyone was outside in the church garden talking about how beautiful the Sakura blossoms were as the Boy’s talked about memories from Sora, but Kairi was nowhere to be found,

she had gone to Naminé’s house for some peace and quiet, she was sitting by the heater looking at her hands, remembering all the times Sora had held them, and a distance memory appeared in her mind:

“Kairi!” Sora said, five feet away from her.

“Sora!” Kairi tripped, Sora grabbed her arm to stop her fall.

“Kairi, remember what you said before? I’m always with you too. I’ll come back to you, I promise!” Sora was trying to grab Kairi’s hand tight so he wouldn’t let go.

“I know you will!” Kairi cried back.

And then, they’re hands tore apart, both reaching to grab the hand back, but too far apart.

    -()-

Naminé, Roxas and Riku entered Naminé’s house, soon finding Kairi crying by the heater, Naminé sat on her knees and put her arm on Kairi’s shoulder,

“This is a little sudden for you, isn’t it?” She said, staring at the tears sliding down Kairi’s cheeks,

“Kai, please don’t cry anymore, it tears me up when I see you upset.” Riku sighed,

Kairi wiped the tears from her face and stared at the photo of Sora in her lap, “It is too sudden, but it’s just too painful to even bear. If I could see Sora once more, just… once… I’d be so happy, having another memory to cherish, even if it was just a spirit of him, it’d still be beautiful.”

Kairi put the photo down beside her and stared back at her three friends,

“is there any way to make that happen?”

Chapter Seven (7): A teachers true feelings.

It was Monday, and Kairi was walking off to school, still thinking about yesterday, and the question she asked Naminé, Roxas and Riku. She took the photo she had yesterday out of her school bag and stared at it while walking past the town to her school.

Kairi’s eyes were drawn to Sora’s smile in the photo, all she had was pictures to remember him, she started to worry, if someone were to happen to the photo’s, Kairi might forget all about Sora again. She placed the Photo back into her bag, turning back to face forwards, Kairi suddenly tripped, landing on the sand.

She dusted the sand off her skirt while kneeling, and she turned around to see what caused her fall, for a minute, Kairi swore she saw Sora standing there smiling, but his figure had faded when she blinked. “I must be imagining things.” Kairi hurried off to her school as she heard the bell ring.

    -()-

Kairi sat down at her desk, joined by Naminé with Roxas and Riku in front of the girls. She pulled out the picture of Sora from her bag and placed it on her desk, Kairi held her head in her hands and stared at the photo, she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder, and she turned to Naminé and stared at her in curiosity.

“Kairi, about, your question yesterday…” Naminé stopped and took a deep breath.

“The boys and I have been reading a lot about, spirits… and we thought we could try and bring Sora back to the island, to spend time with you, the night you imagined, we’re going to try and make it reality.”

Kairi remembered when she thought she saw Sora before school. “Now that you mention trying to bring Sora back, I think I saw him this morning, I tripped over and turned around, and there was Sora’s figure.” Overhearing the conversation, Roxas and Riku turned around.

“Well Kairi, I think this night we try to make real might work.” Riku laughed. “We’ll take a photo so you never forget it.”

The teacher walked in and dumped her things on her desk, the desk always looked so messy with scrunched up papers and apple cores everywhere. She grabbed pieces of paper with math sums on them and walked pass each desk, handing one to every student. Riku sighed and dropped onto his desk, “I HATE MATH! TOO MANY NUMBERS!” Riku got up and looked at the sheet the teacher handed him.

“Times tables, Divided by, FRACTIONS?! ANGLE WORK?!” Riku dropped his head onto the table again, this time, repeatedly hitting it onto the table.

The teacher walked up to Kairi and Naminé’s desk as she handed them both a sheet of paper, she stared at Sora’s photo on Kairi’s desk as if she wanted to break it with her bare hands, “If you ask me, I’m glad Sora’s dead, he was a troublesome student, a dreadful learner in this class.” The teacher said it loud and clear, so everyone in the class heard.

Kairi was devastated; she scrunched up her hands into fists and stood up. “Shut up.” Kairi mumbled, staring at the teacher. “What did you say?” The teacher asked, in a stern voice. “I said, SHUT UP!” Kairi grabbed her sheet of paper and ripped it up directly in front of the teacher’s face,

“Sora was a better student then everyone here, he learnt, he knew all the answers, he got his homework done in 15 minutes, and you’re calling him dreadful? If anyone’s dreadful, YOU ARE!” Kairi grabbed her bag tightly and rushed out of the classroom. The teacher just shook her head and walked back down to her desk, “If you can’t beat ‘em, leave ‘em.”

This time, Riku, stood up, ripped his sheet of paper and yelled at the teacher. “You do not talk like that to Kairi OR Sora, I’m never returning to school again until they fire you, and you get off this island, so good luck teaching me, because guess what toots? You ain’t ever goin’ to!” Riku grabbed Sora’s photo from Kairi’s desk because she forgot it, and rushed out of class following Kairi.

Naminé and Roxas got up, grabbed there stuff and walked off too, but they were stopped by the Teacher’s voice, “and where do you think you’re going?” Naminé turned around and gave the Teacher spear eyes. “Following our friends, because that’s what friends do, you wouldn’t know, you have none!” Naminé and Roxas continued to follow after Riku and Kairi, everyone else in the class started talking to the people beside them and started ignoring the teacher, the other four must have made an impact.

    Chapter Eight (8): Teacher’s Act.

Everyone walked off to the shore at the front of the island, all laughing about how they stuck it to the teacher, well, everyone was laughing but Kairi, she was mad at the teacher for talking about Sora so mean,

“Guys, we should really report what the teacher said, it was mean, and un-called for.” Kairi said, her voice sounding upset.

“Kairi’s right, let’s go to the principal and tell him.” Riku said, staring out at the ocean.

“We should tell the whole town!” Added Roxas.

Everyone got up and gripped their bags tightly as they all ran off to the principal’s office at the school, all the way over the other side of the island.
Everyone sat in the principal’s office staring at the principal,

“so what seems to be the problem?” The principal asked, taking a look at everyone in his office.

“The teacher, Miss Ali, she, said some awful things about Sora, saying he was a dreadful student and she was glad he was dead.” Kairi said, staring at the principal.

“Well, I’ll call her in and we’ll confirm this.” He said,

reaching for the PA to call her over to the office, as he did so, everyone looked at each other with the same looks on their faces, they knew the teacher was going to try and lie about what she had said. As Miss Ali walked into the office, she stared at the four children with a frown, sitting beside the principal; she stared at him, ready for the questions.

“Is it true you said these things to the class about Sora?” The principal asked.

“No, I would never say anything like that about such a wonderful student with a promising talent to work.” Miss Ali replied, feeling anxious to hear what she was asked next, but a little confident she could pass the ‘test’.

“These students said you did.” Replied the Principal, crossing his arms on his chest.

“Well, I’d never say that about Sora, he’s a perfect student.” Kairi stood up and pointed her finger at the lying teacher,

“Stop hiding behind that crap! We have the whole class as witnesses, they heard you, and they heard you perfectly!” Kairi sat back down, frowning at the teacher, Roxas, Riku and Naminé all nodded their heads in agreement.

“It is true, when she said it, and they all ignored her because they didn’t like what she said.” Assured Naminé, the principal frowned at the teacher and stared back at the four students, “you can go now; I’ll have a chat with Miss Ali.”

As everyone walked out of the office, they were worried the principal might believe the teacher’s story, and not theirs, everyone ran off to Naminé’s house to play video games and eat until it was noon.

Chapter Nine (9): Planning the night.

As Riku watched the other three play video games on television, a thought entered his mind,

“hey, we should plan the night Kairi wants now, and try and make it happen tonight!” Kairi’s heart was full of excitement; she knew Sora wouldn’t let her down… most of the time.

Roxas turned off the game console and turned around facing everyone,

“first of all, we need a Paopu fruit.”

Riku got a little confused, “can ghosts eat?”

Riku raised one eyebrow at Roxas, waiting for his answer,

    “well…. Sora will find a way… I guess.”

As everyone suggested ideas, Kairi listened in, but had an idea herself,

“just bring a Paopu fruit, I’ll get Sora there, don’t worry.”

The other three looked at each other concerned, but finally agreed on Kairi’s request. Now all that was left was to bring Sora to the island so share one more treasured moment with Kairi.

Chapter Ten (10): A Familiar Face.

Kairi sat down on the shores staring at the ocean, the moon reflecting its light onto the blue sea put a glow on Kairi's face. She sat down a plate and placed a Paopu fruit on it; the other three friends came down and walked towards her,

“are you ready Kairi?” Riku said, as he passed her a lucky charm Sora had kept on his journey

“use this; it should help you call Sora back down to the island.”

Kairi took the charm from Riku’s hand and clipped it to her dress. As she stood up and walked up to where the waves came in, she looked up to the sky and whispered; “Sora, come down to the island, for a final goodbye.”

Kairi closed her eyes, and remembered Sora’s smiling face, she opened her eyes again and concentrated on the sky, imagining Sora was there, a minute later, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing, Sora was right up there in the sky, she rubbed her eyes and looked up again. He was still there, he jumped and landed right in front of Kairi, she couldn’t help but jump into his arms, even though he was a little see through,

Kairi could still feel him there, she stopped hugging him, and smiled, “you’re really here, I want to share a Paopu again, come over and sit down.” She took Sora’s hand and ran him over to where the plate was, as they both sat down, Naminé and the boys ran off, to leave Kairi alone with Sora, but before they left they took a photo and went off to develop it. As Sora broke apart the Paopu fruit in equal pieces,

he and Kairi both grabbed a piece, when they grabbed at the same time, their hands touched, Kairi looked up and smiled at Sora again, as the both of them began to eat, Sora became easier to see, it was clear that if he ate more, everyone would see him better. Kairi put her piece back on the plate, as Sora did the same thing, since she had confessed before at church she loved Sora, she leaned over and pressed her lips to Sora’s, this time, she could feel him there completely.

Coming out from the bush, Naminé took another photo of Sora and Kairi kissing, and when Kairi came back to Naminé’s house, she’d see it on the shelf. Naminé got pulled away by Riku, to get the photo she just took developed.

Back down at the island, Kairi moved her lips away from Sora’s, as she turned around the other way to hide her face of embarrassment, Sora gently put her head on Kairi’s chin and gently pulled her over to kiss again. Kairi was squealing with excitement inside, Sora liked her as well, when Sora pulled his face away, he began to fade away, Kairi got a little upset, but Sora told her something that made her a little more happy,

“Kairi, meet me every Sunday and Saturday night for the rest of the time we know each other, which will be a long time since we just shared a Paopu fruit, I hope to see you again, and don’t worry, there’s plenty more kisses where that came from!” Sora smiled happily and faded into thin air, Kairi chuckled a little and smiled, she picked up the plate with small Paopu fruit bits on it and headed back to Naminé’s place.

    -()-

As she walked into the front door, Naminé, Riku and Roxas welcomed her with a smile,

“did you have a good time Kairi?” Naminé asked, secretly knowing what had happened.

“It was fantastic, I’m meeting him every Sunday and Saturday night until we forget each other.” The two girls sat down on the kitchen bench stools laughing, as Kairi had only just told Naminé she knew Naminé was in the bush.

Riku bent over Naminé’s shoulder with a cheeky little kissy face,

    “did you kiss?”

Kairi raised an eyebrow, “since when do you like details?”

Everyone laughed and prepared for bed, as they watched a couple of shows, they just kept talking about how cute Sora and Kairi were as a couple, and didn’t get to sleep until 2 in the morning.

As Kairi got up from setting up her bed, she passed the shelf, and looked at the photo’s there, she grabbed all 4 of them and put them beside her bed, taking looks at them all, she finally got to sleep.

Last Chapter; Chapter Eleven (11): Kairi’s happy ending.

Kairi woke up alone, she got up and got dressed in her school uniform, packed her school bag and took off for school, as she locked the door and put her shoes on, she felt a hand on her shoulder, she knew It was Sora, as she turned around, she saw him there,

“Kairi, the teacher that said bad things about me isn’t here anymore, you’ve got a new teacher, she’s a lot nicer.”

Kairi thanked Sora for the information and hurried off. As she walked down the familiar island path to school, she met up with Naminé, Roxas and Riku. As Kairi walked with her friends, she stopped and turned around, looking at the sky above.

Roxas called her over and she turned around and continued to walk along. As she caught up with the other three, thoughts filled her head of what the next weekend would be like with Sora.

I called it this title because it's a connection between two hearts, Naminè's and Riku's, Roxas has just passed away so Naminè decided to move to Destiny Islands so she wouldnt be lonely at Twilight Town, but when Xehanort returns Riku's life starts to change a little, while managing to keep control of Xehanort, he's dating Naminè.

This 16 year old couldn’t sleep. He was obviously disturbed by a not long ago memory. He tossed and turned until he swung up from his pillow with his eyes opened as if he’d seen a ghost. “Just a dream, it’s just a dream Riku, go back to sleep. Forget about it.†He said to himself. Riku rubbed his eyes and turned to his clock, “6 o’clock, Great.†he sighed sarcastically, as he had to get up and get ready for school. The teacher said that their would be a new student coming into the class yesterday, which meant he/she was coming today, Riku was curious and excited, so off he swung his blanket, and stood up lifting his arms and yawning. He walked off to the bathroom to have a shower.
Not long after Riku’s shower he discovered a note on the kitchen bench.
“Riku, honey, we’re going to work early, your lunch box is packed, but we want to see a tidy room when we get home! Stop reading all those stupid comic books!â€
It was Riku’s mother’s handwriting. Riku chuckled. His mother didn’t know about Fantasy.
Just then, Riku had a slight inside attack, his heart felt like it was being covered by darkness. He dropped to the ground and put his hand to his stomach, and then he heard a familiar voice inside his head.
“I’m still here Riku. The darkness is still inside you.â€
The pain had stopped. Riku remembered this familiar voice. It was Xehanort. The one inside his heart, Riku knew that he had to urgently go see King Mickey about this. As Mickey said he didn’t belong to the darkness anymore, but, was it true, or not?
School, Riku’s hated time-waster as he’d prefer to call it, he lifted his feet onto his desk, sat back, put his hands behind his head, and closed his eyes, thinking of his earlier dream, and Riku felt a silent pinch on his muscled arm. “Gee, Riku. Didn’t sleep well?â€
Riku opened one eye in curiosity, the first thing he saw were the brown spikes on this boys head, he was holding his books and sat down beside Riku. “How you been, man?†Asked the teenager. “I can’t wait! A new person in class! Ah, but, still a little down in sorrow, about my nobody, facing death, never knew it was even… possible.†Continued the upset yet excited teenager.
“Don’t sweat it Sora! He’s in a better place now.†Said a familiar voice.
A girl with red shiny hair stood in front of the two boys. This was Kairi. Their childhood friend.
She sat down beside Sora and pulled out her books from her bag. “I just feel a little upset for Naminè, y’know. She and Roxas were so close.†Sighed Kairi.
Interrupting the small conversation, the teacher walked into the classroom, Riku quickly got out of his relaxing mode and sat perfectly, while the teacher was examining all the students who were sitting politely.
“Class, as I mentioned yesterday. We have a new student, now she is a little shy, but I’m sure we can all welcome her with high spirits.â€
A nervous girl walked into the classroom, staring at the ground, her blonde hair covered her face, and it was all moved on her right shoulder. She looked up staring at the class, this girl wore a normal summer white dress, and blue sandals on her feet, and she then recognized the three, Sora, Riku and Kairi. She smiled sweetly and continued walking up to the teacher. “Class, this is Naminè, now she has just had a close friend pass away so I want you to be nice to her.â€
Riku gave Naminè a face meaning that she could come and sit next to him, as he knew that no one would offer. Naminè smiled and walked up to the desk. She felt a paper corner hit the back of her head as she sat down, she turned around, an unusual black haired girl threw it at her and laughed, Naminè picked up the paper airplane and spoke quietly. “You know, your paper airplanes need work, the corners are uneven, and as for the point, it’s more like flat pancake.†She gave the girl a look meaning that if she did it again, she would have to suffer. Sora, Riku and Kairi couldn’t help but laugh with Naminè at what she said, Naminè turned around and smiled. And then, the bell rang, so everyone walked out, and Sora, Riku, Kairi and Naminè began to talk while walking out, they put their books in their bags, rested them on the bag bench in the classroom and they walked out heading towards the island. They took their boats and off they went.
When they got there, they sat on the beach talking for 2 hours. And then Kairi and Sora’s mothers came to the island in their boats calling Kairi and Sora back for dinner. They left, leaving Naminè and Riku.
“Naminè, if you don’t mind me asking, where’s Roxas’ grave?†Riku began, trying to make conversation.
“The usual spot in Twilight Town.†Replied Naminè.
They were left with a couple of hours in silence, as they both got up and jumped in their boats and got back to their home. They said goodbye and split up to go to their island houses.
Riku couldn’t sleep again. So when he woke up at midnight, he got up, got dressed, and went outside to the edge of the island and sat down. The moonlight reflected onto the ocean waves as Riku began to think, about the voice he had heard yesterday. He looked up into the stars and began to whisper, “How did you cope with the signs Roxas?â€
Riku paused, he heard footsteps on the sand coming toward him, it was Naminè, and she sat down beside him. “Couldn’t sleep?†She asked.
    “Not at all.†Riku replied.
The teenager’s hands touched. Both their hearts stopped, and stared deep into each others eyes, Riku had a light feeling in his heart he hadn’t had for quite a long time. They both turned around and looked different ways while blushing, and Riku thought this would be his only chance to actually have a first kiss instead of being the lonely one in the group, but he knew Naminè would push him away. After all, Roxas WAS dead. Still, Riku didn’t let that stop him, he turned around and pressed his lips to Naminè’s in surprise, she had done the same thing, they both looked at each other while kissing, and it turned passionate, for a minute, Riku had felt the happiest he had ever felt. Naminè was still upset to Roxas’ death, but that didn’t stop her, she knew Roxas wouldn’t want her to live in sorrow all the time. They finished that passionate kiss and both smiled, And They both got up and to their surprise they looked down at their hands, surprising, their hands were clinging. As Naminè began to walk away, she said goodbye to Riku, and their hands disconnected, Naminè walked off smiling, she stopped, turned around and told Riku: “Riku, tomorrow, I’ll come to your house, would we be able to walk to school together? I’m afraid that black-haired girl will follow me.â€
“Yeah, sure, what time do you plan to come over?†Replied Riku.
    “Is 6:15 okay?†Naminè replied.
“Yeah, but you might need to sit in the lounge alone for a minute, might wake up late.†Laughed Riku.
    Naminè nodded. “It’s a promise.â€
Riku set his alarm just in case, and woke up at 6:00. He got up and got dressed, and heard the doorbell ring, he rushed down managing to get his school tie on and opened it up, it was Naminè, smiling sweetly.
“Oh! Naminè, come straight in!†Said Riku
    Naminè nodded and smiled.
“I’ll be with you in a minute; I just have to go make my bed.†Replied Riku as he rushed up the stairs.
Five minutes later he came back down and sat beside Naminè on the couch.
“Did you have breakfast this morning? Because we have some time to at least make some toast.†Asked Riku,
“Yeah, I’ll have some toast please, just with strawberry jam.†Replied Naminè.
Riku got up, looked down at Naminè, and smiled. He walked around the back of the lounge to the kitchen, pulled out the toaster from a cupboard below the bench, plugged it in, walked around near the stove and got the bread; he put it in the toaster and set it to a timer, jumped up to the bench and sat on there, Naminè jumped off the couch and walked towards Riku, she sat on the bench beside him. “Naminè, do you know your way around the school yard?†Asked Riku, still trying to get the hang of starting conversations.
Naminè said nothing, and suddenly hugged Riku and didn’t plan to let go, Riku heard Naminè whisper:
Thank you for being the kind of guy I can lean on.
In class, Riku and Naminè were secretly holding hands under the desk; Naminè was worried that black-haired girl would come in and yell at her. The usual happened; Kairi and Sora came in and sat down beside Riku and Naminè. Kairi dropped her book and bent down under the desk to get it, she saw Riku and Naminè’s hands connecting, she thought it was sweet, and sat back up and gave Riku the kind of face that meant ‘I know you’re hands are connected.’
After class, the gang went out and ate lunch in the tranquility garden area where all the shade was.
“This tranquility garden is set up beautifully and it’s so, peaceful.†Commented Naminè
“You think so? The gang and I built it.†Replied Riku.
“You did a great job.†Answered Naminè, smiling sweetly.
Everyone smiled, when they finished, the boys decided to go for a swim at the beach, while the girls wanted to make seashell necklaces. They all went to their houses, gathered some fish wire to make necklaces, and bathers.
They met up at the island. “Hey, Sora, Race you to the water!†Laughed Riku.
    “YOU’RE ON!†Replied Sora.
The two boys were trying to jump over waves, and the girls were making the necklaces and chatting.
“So I saw Riku holding your hand in class, any connection there?†Smiled Kairi.
“Well since Roxas has passed, I know he wouldn’t want me in sorrow all the time, and Riku’s been the kind of guy, I can lean on…†Replied Naminè, “We kissed last night down here.†She continued.
Kairi was happy for the both of them. “You and Riku aren’t going to be lonely anymore, you have each other.â€
That night at Naminè’s house, she was having dinner with her mother and father, and getting a lecture. “Naminè you shouldn’t be hanging out with that Riku guy, he’s a bad influence, the way he acts, and he’s going to turn you into a biker.†Yelled Naminè’s mother, “mother, you don’t know how loving Riku can be.†Replied Naminè, getting a little angry, “Well I forbid you to see that child, I’ll write a note to your teacher, saying you’re not aloud to be anywhere near him, and you two dating is worse.†She yelled again.
Naminè slammed her fork and knife onto the table. “You know nothing about love!†She yelled, running up to her room and crying.
She dived onto her bed, her tears wetting the blanket, and then she stopped as there was a destiny islands newsflash on the radio. Naminè sat and listened.
Meanwhile, on the beach, Riku had finished his dinner and had the same argument with his parents, except he ran out the door and took his boat from the beach to destiny islands. He used the doors to get to the other side, the one not facing the other island, and then he heard that same voice again.
    Your time is up, Riku.
Riku turned around, Xehanort stood before him, Riku wielded his way to dawn to get ready to fight, and Xehanort clicked his fingers and heartless appeared, Riku defeated them, no sweat, though Riku was quite exhausted now, but when he looked up, Xehanort wasn’t there, and he turned around, but Riku couldn’t defend himself now, Xehanort clicked his fingers once more and more heartless came, Riku was exhausted and wasn’t as fast as the heartless’ speed, so when the heartless pounced, Riku was left for dead, he yelled as loud as he could, but sadly, no one heard him. It seemed that when Xehanort said Riku’s time was up, he might have been right, if someone didn’t find Riku soon, he’d be dead too.
On the radio, the interviewer began to talk, not only was Naminè listening, but Sora and Kairi were as well, “We just have a new subject in, a teenage boy, age 16 has been missing, and the boy’s name is Riku.†Then his parent’s voices were on the radio. “We had an argument and Riku would usually be home by now.â€
Naminè turned off the radio, grabbed a coat and torch, opened her balcony door, walked out onto the balcony and jumped off the edge, landing on her feet. She ran to Sora’s house, and Kairi was there too. “Riku’s missing, we have to find him.â€
Sora and Kairi already knew so they grabbed their coats and torches and ran off with Naminè.
Naminè had one hand holding her torch, and the other doing up the button on her coat, but altogether she was shaking, Kairi told Sora about Riku and Naminè’s relationship, he wasn’t mad but he watched Naminè shake and he didn’t want her to go through this as well as cope with Roxas dying.
They checked every dark alley on the island, asked every house if they knew anything, and ran around looking for clues. They went to check the island but they didn’t see Riku anywhere on the side that was facing the other island.
“I’ll go check the other side.†Said Naminè,
“Okay, yell if you find anything.†Replied Kairi.
Naminè used the doors to get around the other side, there she found Riku lying on the ground, she screamed and Sora and Kairi came running, Naminè checked Riku’s pulse, and he had none, so she lifted him up and put his arm around her shoulder, she walked him to the boat then walked him to his house, she rang the doorbell, and gave Riku to his parents, and she then walked home and went into her room and went to bed, crying herself to sleep.
The next day Riku was fine, and he came up to Naminè, Sora and Kairi and thanked them, he wanted to talk with Naminè and said that his parents are letting him hang out with her, Naminè’s parents said the same, Naminè and Riku walked off to the tranquility garden because Riku wanted to say something else, he took Naminè’s hand gently and kissed her on the cheek softly, and then they walked to class together chatting happily, but what they didn’t know, Roxas was standing in front of the school gates, smiling, he was happy that Naminè was happy again, he turned away and walked off, soon disappeared.
Wow, never knew how much my fingers would hurt after typing, anyway, I hope you liked my story!:D

Author's Note: This is a story about Naminè who seems to know about other people's hearts and connections and things, but she still wonders about her herself, why was she put on this earth? Is it a dream she's having or is it Reality? With her close friends from the Organization who secretly want to quit, Zexion and Axel, they tell Naminè about every color of the world, as she doesnt know many except the ones she sees when she's trapped in the white room such as yellow, white and blue. The story is based on the song 'Kremlin Dusk' By Utada Hikaru, the start sort of explains most of it, so don't stop reading yet!

The blonde silky hair brushed along the side of her face, she gently brushed it away as she was trying to draw, her pencil snapped, no wonder, she was pressing too hard, a thought on her young mind bothered her as she tried to mark the rough texture of the page, she put her pencil on the ground below her and picked up another, the girl’s name was Naminè, and she was called, a somewhat, Nobody.
Interrupting the silent sound in the white room Naminè was in, the door opened, drawing Naminè’s eyes to who stood on the other side of the door, the boy had large yellow shoes, he wore red shorts, a red top covered with a white and black jacket but his main attraction of people’s eyes was his giant brown spiky hair, the boy looked around, and then he spotted Naminè. Naminè put her drawing onto the ground below and stared at the boy for a moment in silence, the boy walked up slowly whispering quietly, “Naminè?â€
Before the boy came any closer, he was swollen up by a pod, he stared at Naminè in shock, and Naminè spoke quietly, “Sleep now, Sora.â€
Naminè opened her eyes, she woke up lying on the ground of a white room, and it was just a dream, a memory, that she once had about that boy, she knew him as a hero, but she hadn’t seen him for a while now, she hadn’t seen… anyone or anything but heartless and guys in black, in a while.
Naminè dreamed that someday, she would be able to get out and see the true colors of the earth, there was a mirror in the white room, and she only knew three colors, blonde, blue, and white, the only three colors that reflected on the mirror. She never lost hope that she would be taken away from the white room, the only thing she could do to entertain herself was draw, and she loved drawing heroes and battles, but the thought that she would never see a real hero for a long time made her heart ache. Naminè only had two friends in life; the two were part of an organization by the name of ‘Organization XIII’ her two friends went by the names of ‘Axel’ and ‘Zexion.’ The rest of the organization thought Naminè was useless.
At night Naminè would stare out the window, but what she didn’t see were colors, it was all white, but it was beside the point, she didn’t focus on the color, what really attracted her were the sparkles in the sky above, Zexion called them Stars, every time Zexion came to Naminè’s room, he’d be smiling like she had never seen him before, every day his smile would have more happiness in it. A white bird Zexion would call a Raven always came by Naminè’s window every night, it wasn’t black, but as the rest of the scene outside her window, it was white. Naminè would call for a hero now and then, she thought if she drew something to do with it, the miracle would happen and she and her two best friends would be rescued from the horror known as the darkness.
All alone, I was searching for,
My Lenore, and the words of Mr. Edgar Allen Poe,
    Now I’m Sober and, Nevermore,
Will The Raven Come To Bother Me At Home.
    Calling You, Calling You,
    You, Calling You, Calling You.

One morning, Zexion came into Naminè’s room; Naminè was facing her window and silently crying, she didn’t notice Zexion come in. He walked up to her and leaned on the windowsill next to her, “Don’t tell me you’ve lost all hope.†He said looking down at her, “I am only half a heart; no one has me in their heart, and no one thinks about me, if they ever do, they can’t remember who they’re referring me to, like Sora with Kairi. I’m of no importance, so what makes everyone think a hero will come? Plus, most of the organization adores darkness, heroes are on the light side, and I am standing on that line, I’m not joining the organization, but it’s the only family I’ll ever have, but to do dark deeds, is just wrong.†She said quietly, wiping the tears from her light blue eyes. “I’ll let you in on a little secret; I’m not to keen in being in the organization, but we all know how mad Xemnas gets when someone quits, like when Roxas did.†“Naminè, Axel and I have nothing against you, you are important to us, don’t listen to the rest of the organization, they don’t know who you really are, you’re not a witch, you have a special gift.†Zexion continued. “I wasn’t born like other Nobodies, I don’t know who my somebody is, and I’ll never get to meet her, the terrible things that the organization says about me, it cuts through me like a knife.†Naminè said, about to start crying again. Zexion put his hand on her shoulder, “You are in people’s hearts, Axel and I, we’ll do anything to protect you, the rest of the organization are wrong, they don’t know the meaning of your abilities, you chain people’s memories together to make them remember the happy memories they had once forgotten, I wouldn’t call that evil, you’re doing them a favor.â€
Interrupting the conversation, Axel appeared from a dark portal. “Zexion, the organization has decided to have a meeting here, we have to stand by Naminè, and they’re going to say things about her aga-.†Naminè interrupted Axel “Sorry for interrupting, but before the meeting takes place, I just want to tell the both of you, that you’re both now my older brothers.†She turned around, and asked Zexion nicely if he could lift her up onto the windowsill, he did so, and he sat there with her, and just then, 10 dark portals appeared opposite side to Axel, Zexion and Naminè, Axel ran over to the other side of Naminè preparing for Xemnas to speak, and Xemnas began, “What have we here? Two useless members of the organization and a useless nobody.†The 10 members laughed. Larxene took off her hood “As for the nobody, I say dispose of her, she’s useless, she breaks apart memories and sets them wrong, and as for a hero coming, there is no such PERSON as a hero. Behind that cute little face she does some awful things.†The 10 members laughed again. Zexion jumped off the windowsill “Larxene, Shut up.†He stared at her with a threatening look, “You know nothing about how light sided Naminè is, your stupid dark heart is too dull to accept it, you don’t believe in heroes because you’ve been defeated by so many.†Zexion stood up in a courageous way, if it’s the last thing he wanted, it was that someone calling Naminè dark. “This meeting is over.†He declared. The organization left, everyone, including Axel and Zexion. Naminè pushed her back to the side of the wall near the window, sitting on the windowsill, she turned her head to the window and thought of the outside world and what it was like, but she also had a thought that shivered down her spine once she thought of it. Why was she alive? Was there any meaning? And just then, a dark portal came back into the white room, Naminè turned her head in happiness, “Zexion!?†But she wasn’t happy when she saw who it was. “Larxene…†Larxene laughed, “That’s my name, don’t wear it out.†Naminè wanted to be courageous like Zexion; he was her role-model, as well as Axel. “I wouldn’t wear your name anyway.†Naminè didn’t know this would make Larxene mad. “Oh, you’ve done it this time.†Larxene made her knives appear in her hand, she threw one at Naminè and Naminè couldn’t defend herself, the knife cut into Naminè’s arm and she let out a bloodcurdling scream. Zexion and Axel heard her from the room next door, they rushed in from the door and ran up to Naminè, and Axel turned around and saw Larxene. She laughed “You need to work on your defense.†She cackled loudly and disappeared with a dark portal. Zexion and Axel turned back to Naminè, the blood rushing down her arm, she had lost so much, she fainted and her back hit onto the wall, Zexion pulled out a bandage from his pocket and wrapped it around Naminè’s wound. He used a cloth to wipe off the blood from her arm, Axel and Zexion sat down on the chairs near by, they had to keep guard until Naminè woke up, then they would have to leave for duty, but they’d tell Naminè that if she was in trouble she’d yell and they’d be right there.
When Naminè woke up, she found herself lying on the windowsill with a different color blanket laid on her, towards the corner of the room where she looked, Axel and Zexion were sleeping, Naminè walked up to them and shook them a little, they both woke up a little startled. “Zexion, Axel, what’s this color?†Naminè pointed to the blanket she found. “It’s called Purple, and there’s a lot more colors where that came from.†Zexion said happily, “Like Axel’s hair, the color’s called Red.†Axel walked over to where Naminè’s pencils were placed; he picked them up tightly and walked back over to the table. “We’ll tell you the names of all these colors, but then we have to go, duty calls.†Naminè’s smile disappeared, “You’re joining the organization in doing bad deeds?!†“Nope, we’re stopping them.†Axel said happily. “Besides, I have to go see a friend of mine, maybe I’ll introduce him to you sometime.†Naminè smiled sweetly. Axel and Zexion were like family to her. “So anyway, what’s this color?†Naminè pointed to a color sort of like a different shade of red. “It’s called Orange, usually the color of a sunset.†Suddenly, Axel had an
Idea, “hey Zexion, lets take Naminè to twilight town, and she can meet Roxas, they’re both a lot alike.â€
“But Axel, Xemnas wouldn’t allow it.†Sighed Zexion
“Yeah well, it isn’t like he’s gonna miss us anyway.â€
    “You have a point.â€
“Then let’s go and never come back!†Interrupted Naminè, “I’ll grab my sketchbook and pencils, and we’ll go.â€
Zexion clicked his fingers and called both of them to the portal, they arrived in the most colorful place Naminè had ever seen, but something was wrong.
    *Twilight Town*
Zexion and Axel walked Naminè up to sunset hill, to get the best view, but when Naminè got there she didn’t smile, she walked straight to the bench; sat down and hung her head low. “Naminè, what’s the matter? I thought you’d be happy to be here.â€
“I am, it’s just, how do I know this is even real, after all, nobodies aren’t supposed to exist, I was born on the line between darkness and light, and I’m being called from the light side, but I’m being called from the dark side too. It’s too much pain to handle, this is just a fake memory in a dream, and I need proof to show that I exist, and this scene exists.â€
“But this does exist and so do you, if you didn’t, you wouldn’t have met Zexion or me.â€
“But you are both nobodies too. I’m still trying to understand the meaning of us nobodies, we can’t become some bodies, and so what’s the point of trying? We’re on the light side now but the organization will come and drag us back to the white room.â€
“She’s got a point Axel, but we my as well just defend ourselves and push the organization away.â€
“But we won’t win, you and Axel have abilities, all I do is break peoples memories apart, we need three people to defeat the organization all at once, more like four.â€
“That’s easy, Axel, Sora, Roxas and I.â€
“But Sora and Roxas are both part of one heart, they can’t both appear.â€
“Once again, she has a point.â€
Born in a war of opposite attraction it isn’t or is it a natural conception,
Torn by the arms in opposite directions it isn’t or is it a modernist reaction.

Interrupting the conversation, 10 dark portals appeared the organization.
“Traitors, why are you protecting her? I should summon up some water clones on you.â€
“Go ahead and try Demyx, my fire can attack you BEFORE you can say ‘dance water dance.’â€
“Now now now boys, why don’t we just settle this with a little 10 vs. 2 combat?â€
Interrupting once more, the same boy Naminè saw in her dream ran up to sunset hill, stood in front of the organization and wielded the key blade.
“I’ll vs. you if you play fair, if I win another organization member battles, if I win again same thing happens until you’re all gone.â€
Sora ran up to Larxene, “You’re first.â€
----I can’t write battles, but Sora got attacked a few times and dodged even more----
    The organization was gone.
    “Sora, thank you.â€
“You saved us from fighting all of them against two people.â€
“Hey no problem, but I wanna ask, why are you two Organization members protecting Naminè?â€
“Well we’re sick of doing bad stuff this and bad stuff that, it really never changes.â€
“So we’re on the good side now.â€
“Sora, how can I thank you?â€
“You don’t need to do anything Naminè.â€
“What if I send you and Riku back to the islands?â€
“You can do that?! Why didn’t you do it in the first place?â€
“I wanted to make your visit all around the world’s one to remember.â€
“But Riku’s still in on the dark side.â€
“No he isn’t, he left, now he’s just searching for you.â€
“But what about Donald and Goofy here?â€
“They have the gummi ship to get back, and I can send the king home as well.â€
    “Okay, but I can’t just forget you.â€
“You won’t, you made a promise, and you will meet Kairi, my original self, she will get an image of me now and then.†Naminè put her hand to her neck gently. “I just found out who my somebody was…â€
    “Okay, send us back.â€
----Not good at writing miracles and we’re heading towards the end of our story anyway. ----
When Naminè got back to the white room, she sat on the window sill and stared out her window, she was happy that she finally knew who her somebody was, every now and then she would shine a smile to the pale white sun, Naminè knew she had done the right thing for the world, everyone was happy, the organizatio been destroyed, meaning there would be no more heartless or dusks. But she still couldn’t smile all the time, she didn’t get to meet Roxas, and she still has to stay in the white room most of the time, Zexion and Axel had quit the organization, so they didn’t belong to the darkness anymore, but Naminè still had no proof she existed, this could all just be a never-ending dream. Zexion and Axel walked into the white room and walked up to Naminè.
