Club Nintendo and online IDs are cumbersome and really weird as the Wii U doesn't integrate as a console online very well.
Yet, Mario Kart 8 is a great and simple online multiplayer, everything just works and i've had no issues.

Two different companies worked on the hardware and the software. Too much of a disconnect. No wonder people hate deving for Nintendo. It's not got the ease of Sony and MS.

Quick run down of the game. It's Assassin's Creed and the Arkham games playstyle and mechanics, mixed with a dynamic mission and foe system in an open world environment set in Tolkien's Mordor. The writer is one of the guys who worked on Red Dead Redemption,

    CGI Trailer

    First gameplay trailer (very scripted)

    Overview of the nemesis system

Out of everything I saw at E3, this was the one I most wanted to see more from. And I did, and I'm more and more interested in this game. The Nemesis system which allows a fairly deep interaction between the player, the enemies and the world around them. You kill someone's boss, they'll be scared of you. You throw them into a fire and escape, they'll plan revenge. You use their minions to send a death threat to them, they'll train themselves up and get elite bodyguards, making a harder fight but one that drops better loot.

All the enemies are randomly generated and unique enough to always have someone to fight that'll be distinct. And a maniac mechanic, but I love the idea, is that when you get killed you're always revived BUT the enemy that killed you gets stronger doing such. Effectively, dying is not a simple time sink, but an actual long term issue since the fights get harder each time. One does not simply walk into battle over and over till you get lucky, you actually have to plan and prepare how to take an enemy down, otherwise you could just make it even harder or near impossible for you in the future.

The biggest worry I have is that since it seems so much like an AC game, I'll feel like I've played most of this sort of game before. And that the open world might not be that big or various as i'd want. Hopefully the combat, Nemesis system and the dynamic missions mean I'll have enough choice to vary things up.

Apart from that, this is one of the few games this year I'm really looking forward to.

And I told my mum as such.

"I don't know if I should get it, I think it's still a bit too much for me. Maybe I should hold off. But there's this deal with buying Mario Kart and getting a agem free, it's tempting at that price."

    She replies.
    "You only live once, dear."

Yeah, Mum, the Wii U's obviously representing my ****ing rebellious stage in life.

in my Gothic and Fantasy Literature essay! A 78, which is unbelievable considering i've never seen a lecturer give anything above a 74. It means, I believe, i've got a first for my whole module. Unbelievable, i've rechecked the grade about four times now.

For those who don't know, a first is basically the best achievable grade in a degree over here in GB. 70 is the lowest score to get a first, and 80+ is the higher first, and practically genius level for an English literature course and means The person should probably be published. So i'm well frickin happy at this outcome, I may actually do better overall this year than i thought. Just gotta wait for my other grades to come through.

I never dreamed i'd get a 1st in anything, let alone this high. ****in ace! I'm on a Freakin high right now, so high I want to dance.

Please, I implore you as modern people looking for cultural, social and general advancement.
Please, please, do not vote for UKIP or BNP EVER.

I like some of their policies, admittedly, but voting is never about the policies anymore, because I don't think any party has ever followed their own word.
It's about the people, and neither party has good or forward thinking people. They're rich, bigoted, misogynistic, racist, elitist pricks who wish to bring back policies from over 150 years ago, thinking that'll help us. I'd like to say I'm exaggerating, but the amount of journalistic and video evidence of it all is... overwhelming.

So please, never vote for them. Vote for anyone but them.
    Thank you.

    P.S.
Dear foreigners to these isles. And uniformed islanders.
These are a few examples of the parties and their followers that i'm ashamed even attempt to speak for my country:

Never ever take an arts based course.
You'll kill yourself trying to get it, and you'll never get it. You'll never do it. You can't.

Ugh, I've just submitted some work in I know is good, but I wanted it to be great. I'll get a 2:1 but I wanted a 1st so badly I've spent over a week on this work. Three more left for next Wednesday deadline.

I'll die doing it, so this is a farewell broiled in self pity.
    All the best.

But seriously, i've been putting on a cockney accent when talking so much recently. The amount of swearing!

    Happiness

A lot of people think they can tell you what your happiness is.

It's getting a good job, a family with kids, a good house in a good neighbourhood. The reality of that varies differently. A good job where you're an abusive boss. A family where you cheat on your spouse, where you're overworked to see your kids much. Where your house bills are racking up with the inflation, and the neighbourhood is full of elitist bigots. One of many sorts of dystopian examples. Of course, it could always turn out perfect, but there are 7 billion people in the world, 2 billion in Western society, not all of them can fit into the mould.

So they have to find happiness elsewhere. Most of the time, it's a quick fix, drugs, prostitutes, affairs, gambling, domestic abuse, something to feel comforted or in control of their life again, like they can fight against the nature of the society they live in. It's a self destructive happiness, its moreish stuff that you keep coming back to, with diminishing returns always looking for that same sort of buzz.

The question is, what is happiness? The definition is obvious, the feeling as well, we all have felt it briefly.
Without going into too much detail, there is great wisdom in the monks of Asia. People living simple lives, pushing their minds and bodies to the limits and further. And they are happy. For decades they are content. Surrounded by like minded friends in poverty, they can smile. This hectic modern life rushes fast so damn fast, nothing stays, everything moves and trying to keep up with it all, everything that is thrown in your way, it is hard to feel in control. Yet if you can focus on something, work, relationships, family, making them and yourself better, achieving your dreams then you can take control.

I am a writer. I write, duh. I write a lot and I work to make my stuff better. It's still crap, but I have to keep going and working. Some days after working I sit back and realise the stuff i've done. It comes out of a sort of need to feel like i've done something with my life, credit to it almost. Without work, i'm a lazy slob like so many, like I use to be. I could list a lot of stuff and be content to die tomorrow knowing it. But not happy. I have aims to be happy, or at least what I think will make me happy. And if it doesn't? Then I'll keep looking till I die for more, but that's for latter. And I think knowing I don't fear death, or at least fear being forgotten never to walk this world again in this form, gives me some willingness to go ahead with my stupid dreams, ha. Whether i achieve them or are crippled by them, we'll see.

Another rambling thought process that I needed to put somewhere. Maybe this will give you something, maybe not. But you've read it, thank you.

    As I thought

I really enjoyed DMC: Devil May Cry reboot.

Arguably more then Revengance but purely because I loved the art style of DmC. The club level reminded me off a darker Psychonauts level. Also, the simple but deep combat was something I could get my teeth into.

I've realised I'm not a fan of 'Character Actions games' much though. Poor writing and no good reason on why this person is fighting these enemies most of the time. Fun but never any real depth.

Aveline is amazing. I finally got her.
    Anders is mentally troubled.
Fenris is the troubled brooding free slave.
Isabela is a savvy, tongue lashing, sexual innuendo, anti hero.
    Merril is tragically sweet.
Sebastian is a bad boy turned good looking for the best in the world.

Varric is still a sexy, hairy chested beardless hunk of a dwarf.

Man, it is addictive, all that power over the audience, making them laugh. I kind of want to do it again.
It went well, mostly. Forgot one of my jokes by accident, and even put a heckler down. Sweated buckets, and was blinded by the spotlight.
The most offensive jokes made them laugh, obviously, pfft.

It was a great night though, cheering each other on and everything.
Recommend stand up to the brave and bold though.
