    A pic of Vexen. Yeah, Vexen, of all people.
    I felt like doing something, and I was experimenting with guidelines. First time I've ever used guidelines and it came out pretty good.
    And the writing says:
    "Simply Misunderstood
    Vexen"
    In case you can't read it.

    A/N: This story is FULL of out of character of the members of Organization XIII. If you don't like for the characters to be misrepresented, I suggest you not read this. But I don't think it'll be a problem.

    Also, the girl's name (Roxes) is pronounced Roh-zes, not like Roxas.

    Okay, on with the first part of the story.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A man with pale pink hair sprinkled water over a small patch of orchids. His dark sapphire eyes studied the darkening sky as he moved his hand gradually to give the plants their much-needed water. He had been too busy to make his way to his precious greenhouse since two weeks before, and the soil had begun to dry out.
    He was finishing his round when he heard a loud thump outside the greenhouse. The muffled sound attracted his attention. He looked to the door, where the sound had come from, and saw a girl leaning on the glass, her back to him. She slid down the side of the building and put her head in her hands, her dark brown hair pulled into a small ponytail. The man coiled the water hose onto the ground slowly, his eyes still on the girl. His shoulder-length hair streaked his vision as he looked to the side and bent over his task. Finally, he made his way to the door. When he opened it, the girl fell onto her back and into the moist atmosphere in the greenhouse. Her bloodshot eyes stared up at him from the ground. She stumbled from her place on her back and settled on her knees, her face to the ground.
    “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to intrude. Please forgive me,” the girl begged. The pink-haired man knelt in front of the girl and put a hand on her shoulder. She flinched back, debating on whether or not to flee. Her eyes stared up at him slowly with bloodshot hazel eyes.
    “My name is Marluxia,” was all the man said. His voice was deep and clear. At the sound, the girl shuddered. Marluxia wondered if he had done anything to offend her.
    “I’m Roxes,” she finally replied. Marluxia stood and held his hand out to her. She took it reluctantly and he pulled her from the ground. He put his arm around her shoulders and led her out of the greenhouse, closing the door behind them. The cool, crisp night air was a far cry from the moist warm air in the greenhouse. The pair walked down a dark set of stairs and into a brightly lit hallway. Out of the hall, they descended two more stories to the ground floor.
    “Hey, Marl--” another man began, but stopped when he was met with the sight of the young girl he had by the shoulders. “I never knew you were a cradle-robber,” he added, laughing. Marluxia ignored his insult and sat down on a leather couch in the living room area. The girl sat beside him, saying absolutely nothing. Her white tank top was splotched with dry blood, and her face was smudged with what appeared to be nothing but dirt.
    “That’s not funny, Axel. This girl is in trouble. I don’t know what happened to her, but she just appeared at the door of the greenhouse. She’s been crying,” Marluxia said. Axel stood in front of the two, his hands on his hips. His emerald eyes were bright with feigned concern.
    “How'd she get to the roof, I wonder?” he inquired sarcastically. He laughed and walked away, into the connected kitchen. The girl shifted to stand out of Marluxia’s grasp. Marluxia watched her carefully as she just stood in front of him. Her denim shorts were slightly loose and covered to her mid-thigh. Her hands balled into fists suddenly and she gasped, falling to her knees. Marluxia did nothing, he just watched her. He figured there was nothing he could do. She covered her face with her hands and her body began to shudder slightly. All at once, it seemed like the pressure on her body dissipated and she fell limply to the floor.
    “Who is that girl? Who brought her here?” asked a commanding voice. Marluxia stood from the couch and faced the man who had spoken. The Superior looked at him, his tawny eyes threatening.
    “Her name is Roxes. That’s all I know. That’s all she would tell me. I don’t know how she got here. I found her on the roof out by the greenhouse,” Marluxia replied. He was used to being intimidated by Xemnas, so speaking to him was no longer a challenge.
    “Why did you not leave her there? This is not an orphanage. She looks like she is old enough to care for herself,” Xemnas replied emotionlessly. Marluxia looked back at the crumpled form on the floor. She appeared to be asleep. Obviously she had gone through something terrible.
    “If you’ll just give me a chance, I’ll care for her. She can’t be older than sixteen. There’s no way she’d survive in The World That Never Was. It’s too dangerous,” the lower-ranked man begged. Xemnas just laughed.
    “Roxas is a mere fifteen years old, and he survives,” he pointed out. Marluxia sighed, again glancing at the broken girl on the floor.
    “Roxas also has training and us to protect him. She would have no one,” he said. Xemnas was silent, his golden brown eyes now averting from Marluxia to the girl. Everything he had been taught told him to let her be thrown into the world, but something stopped him. Perhaps it was the begging of his member, and perhaps it was something else. Whatever it was, he assented.
    “Fine, you may care for her, on one condition. No one else in the Organization is to know she is here,” he explained to Marluxia. Marluxia nodded, but then stopped Xemnas before he left.
    “Axel already knows, sir,” he remembered. Xemnas nodded.
    “I will inform Axel right away that he is to tell no one of her presence, then,” he replied. Marluxia nodded. Xemnas walked away, his silvery gray hair falling just below his shoulders in the back. Finally, Marluxia’s azure eyes averted his Superior and he looked back at Roxes.
    “Looks like it’s just you and me then,” he muttered to the sleeping figure. He gently picked her up, careful not to wake her. Her slow breathing was the only thing that even signified that she was alive.
    Yep, I've had CS2 for a while, and this is my best wallpaper (in my opinion).
    It's Gackt WAY back when he was in Malice Mizer.
    And if you don't know who Gackt is, I guess just have fun looking at the wallpaper.
    CnC please. I want to get better. I've been doing the same patterns and using the same methods for too long. I want advice. XD
    I'm BACK!
    Well, for a short time at least. I may not be on a lot in the next week, because of final exams before Christmas break, but during the break I'll be on a LOT more. I miss this place. A lot. So, I'll be on a lot during the break, which is only about two and a half weeks, but then I'll disappear again for the second semester of school. Then during the summer, I'll be an avidly active member again. My activity will go on like this. But at least I have some time on my hands now.
    So, I'm back, peoples I talk to!
    ... Saix fangirls. I think I'm the only one on earth that likes Saix better than Axel and Marluxia and Zexion and all those other Organization members that have fangirls coming out of their ears.
    Okay, I'm done with my rant now.
    But Saix is so freaking cool! He deserves fangirls!
    Okay, so I just got Photoshop CS2, and I have no idea how to use it. I looked up some tuts, and used what I already knew. But people, I'm begging for CnC. I really want to get better. And some tips on how to use brushes more effectively. But please, CnC. And don't just say: "It sucks you can do better." I don't appreciate that.
    And I'm HORRIBLE at using brushes, or I would have.
    I'm just gonna copy and paste what I typed earlier in the Count to a Million thread. I just wanna tell you all about my day yesterday and so far today.
    So, I had a pretty bad day yesterday. And now I have to miss band practice today because of it.
    Let's start at the beginning. I had to get my bottom wisdom teeth taken out. For once in my life, they got the IV in on one poke. Thank God. Then the doctor put me under the anesthesia. When I woke up, my vision was blurry and my mouth was packed with gauze pads. From my lower lip to my chin was completely numb. I slept for three hours after that. Then I had to eat lukewarm soup for dinner, which was particularly not filling. This morning, I woke up with the worst pain in my life. I can only open my mouth a few inches. And I had to drink a yogurt smoothie and eat some applesauce for breakfast. I'm on that kind of restricted diet for three days.
    Kudos to anyone who cares to read that. lol.
    Here it is, at last! I got enough replies from the people in the family that I think I can go ahead and open this. Now, let's start with some rules.
    Rules
    1. You must be in the Final Fantasy Coconuts Family to join the RP. A link to the thread is in my sig.
    2. No killing, or excessive use of blood. I think that's in the forum rules anyway.
    3. Absolutely no sexual content. I will not tolerate it, and you will be warned only once.
    4. Keep the cursing to a minimum. I would prefer none, but I know that's not going to happen. Use stars to censor, no going around the rules to type it by formatting one letter.
    5. No two-people RPs. Give everyone else a chance to reply. If I see this excessively, I'll get a mod over here to delete the whole thread. Again, you get one warning.
    6. Proper RPing is a must. Proper grammar is a must. Even if it takes you longer to reply, take the time to type out words, and use proper punctuation and capitalization. If you fail to do so, I'll ask you to edit your post. If you fail to do that, you're out. I want to be able to read what you're RPing. If you need help with RPing skills, go to the help section.
    7. Using OOC and BIC is a must as well. If you want to say something, out of character, use OOC. And, excessive chatting while RPing will not be accepted, either. That's what the family thread is for.
    ***VIP*** If you want to join the RP, and you're already in the family, PM me. Do not, I repeat do not interrupt the RP by posting that you want to join. It's not necessary.
    If you want a different picture under the "Character pic" category, PM it to me, and I'll put it up. Just keep in mind that in order for me to put it up, it must be one from Square Enix. No fan-made material will be posted.
    Oh, and one more thing. Any RPing done previously in the family thread is completely void. Just pretend none of it happened.
    Now have fun RPing! And I'll start this off. Take this as an example, and a first post. This is our setting, and then we'll take it from here.
    Kadaj, an innocent villain, seemed to be alone. But, noise surrounded him. Obviously, he wasn't afraid. What kind of villain was afraid of a little noise in a rural forest? Not Kadaj. He strutted confidently forward, but every now and again, his blue-green eyes would glance around, prepared with his double-bladed sword in hand. A wild animal was no match for him, and no one would be in a place this rural, would they?
    Render Baralai from this one:
    And if anyone can find a decent CG picture of Nooj (that doesn't have the freaking microphone in front of him) a render of him would be appreciated as well.
    Fragrance by Gackt. And don't just go on Google and look it up. I want to know the lyrics that are muttered in the background near the end of the song, the last time the chorus is repeated. It doesn't matter if it's in Japanese, I can translate it. The words are really hard to hear, and I'm not good at spelling words in Japanese anyway, much less decipher them from behind other Japanese lyrics. I will be forever in your debt.
    Thank you.
    Deep Dive
    This is in Roxas's POV, and I wrote a little paragraph to go with each of the little "random word things" that showed up on the screen during the "Another Side, Another Story - Deep Dive" special ending video. You know, like these:
    http://www.geocities.com/flutist1723/natural.jpg
    Utter Silence
    I never thought silence would be so sweet, until my thoughts were so loud that if anything else was making sound, my eardrums may explode. I didn’t know what kind of world surrounded me, except that it was completely black. I couldn’t see anything, and all I could hear was my thoughts. Either that or I couldn’t hear anything over the noise in my mind. Some kind of serenity engulfed me, but I couldn’t place its source. There was strange warmth inside me, as if everything was okay amidst this darkness. Nothing could be okay, yet it was. Nothing could explain it.
    Something So Natural
    Existence, although so simple, is oddly complex. There are many ways to live. It is something so natural, yet so unnatural no one can place it in a category. Life has its own category. I live in nothingness. There are light, dark, and nothing. Beings of light accept the dark, and beings of dark accept the light. Nothing is shunned by both spectrums. I live in that oblivion that is labeled as nothing. I live, but I do not exist. I was never meant to exist. Complexity yet simplicity shroud the mystery of life that challenges us every day.
    The Memory Beyond
    My past is an enigma. My memories were swept away with each day I live. The more I experience, the less I remember. The new memories planted in my mind with every new friend I make, and every person who tries to remind me of my past, just reminds me of the memory beyond. There was something so important that I couldn’t forget, but now I can’t place it. This place I was put in is too perfect, much too harmonious. There was some kind of pain in my past, but I don’t remember. It killed my being, and I was put in this place, the only place I remember now. My home; that’s what I call it, but it can’t be true. There’s something more to me than just a teenage boy carrying on a normal life.
    Something So Simple
    The thing I was searching for was too easy to forget. Other things keep pushing it to the back of my mind where I can’t reach it anymore. It was so simple, and so obvious. I don’t know what happened, but I don’t belong here. These people I’m with aren’t my real friends. I’m not sure who I’m looking for, but I’ll find them eventually. I remember a promise, too, but I don’t remember what I promised. It must have been important. It’s all I can think about lately. I guess I can count my promise broken. A promise not remembered might as well be a promise not kept.
    He Looks Just Like You
    Who is that boy? Everyone keeps telling me that he looks like me, but I don’t know who it even is. Maybe it’s the person I’m looking for. There’s no telling anything for sure anymore. My mind is so clouded that I don’t know why I even bother thinking. I never remember anything, except all the things that they want me to remember. Who looks just like me? They never say a name, or why he is important, but I hear often that he is like me in so many ways. He’s looking for his friends. Maybe he’s looking for the same person I am. I don’t know, and I have a feeling I never will.
    Everything Is Coming Back To Me, The True...
    My true friends, I remember them now. That boy is me. They’re looking at the other part of me, the part that doomed me to exist in nothing. When he saved her life, he never thought that he may just cause more trouble. He was always thinking of his friends. The one I’m looking for is that girl, the one he saved. She was robbed of her heart, and there’s another one like me out there. There is another nothing being, a Nobody. I was looking for her. I promised her that I would see her again. She told me we might not recognize each other, but I know her. I could never forget now. So many memories that I need to store deep in my mind, so I can never lose them again. No one can take away my past.
    My FIRST fanfic! Well, that's been worth posting. I'm posting it as I write, so some updates may be delayed if I'm too busy to write or whatnot.
    P.S. When you get to that part, her name is pronounced Roh-zes (with a long o, and the x is pronounces like a z). NOT like Roxas.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    A man with pale pink hair sprinkled water over a small patch of orchids. His dark sapphire eyes studied the darkening sky as he moved his hand gradually to give the plants their much-needed water. He had been too busy to make his way to his precious greenhouse since two weeks before, and the soil had begun to dry out.
    He was finishing his round when he heard a loud thump outside the greenhouse. The muffled sound attracted his attention. He looked over to the door, where the sound had come from, and saw a girl leaning on the door, her back to him. She slid down the side of the glass and put her head in her hands, her dark brown hair pulled into a small ponytail. The man coiled the water hose onto the ground slowly, his eyes still on the girl. His shoulder-length carnation hair streaked his vision as he looked to the side and bent over his task. Finally, he made his way to the door. When he opened it, the girl fell into the moist atmosphere in the greenhouse, having been leaning on the door. Her bloodshot eyes stared up at him from the ground. She stumbled from her place on her back and settled on her knees, her face to the ground.
    “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to intrude. Please forgive me,†the girl begged. The pink-haired man knelt in front of the girl and put a hand on her shoulder. He knew she had to be scared to death. Her eyes stared up at him slowly. She had obviously been crying as well.
    “My name is Marluxia,†was all the man said. His voice was deep and clear. At his voice, the girl shuddered. Marluxia wondered if he had done anything to offend her.
    “I’m Roxes,†she finally replied. Marluxia stood and held his hand out to her. She took it and he pulled her from the ground. He put his arm around her shoulders and led her out of the greenhouse, closing the door behind them. The cool, crisp night air was a far cry from the moist warm air in the greenhouse. The pair walked down a dark set of stairs and into a brightly lit hallway. Out of the hall, they descended two more stories to the ground floor.
    “Hey, Marl--†another man began, but stopped when he was met with the sight of the young girl he had by the shoulders. “I never knew you were a cradle-robber,†he added, laughing. Marluxia ignored his insult and sat down on a leather couch in the living room area. The girl sat beside him, saying absolutely nothing. Her white tank top was splotched with dry blood, and her face was smudged with what appeared to be nothing but dirt.
    “That’s not funny, Axel. This girl is in trouble. I don’t know what happened to her, but she just appeared at the door of the greenhouse. She’s been crying,†Marluxia said. Axel stood in front of the two, his hands on his hips. His emerald eyes were bright with feigned concern.
    “How did she get to the roof, I wonder,†he said sarcastically. He laughed and walked away, into the connected kitchen. The girl shifted to stand out of Marluxia’s grasp. Marluxia watched her carefully as she just stood in front of him. Her denim shorts were slightly loose and covered to her mid-thigh. Her hands balled into fists suddenly and she gasped, falling to her knees. Marluxia did nothing, he just watched her. She covered her face with her hands and her body began to shudder slightly. All at once, it seemed like the pressure on her body dissipated and she fell limply to the floor.
    “Who is that girl? Who brought her here?†asked a commanding voice. Marluxia stood from the couch and faced the man who had spoken. The Superior looked at him, his tawny eyes threatening.
    “Her name is Roxes. That’s all I know. That’s all she would tell me. I don’t know how she got here. I found her on the roof out by the greenhouse,†Marluxia replied. He was used to being intimidated by Xemnas, so speaking to him was no longer a challenge.
    “Why did you not leave her there? This is not an orphanage. She looks like she is old enough to care for herself,†Xemnas replied emotionlessly. Marluxia looked back at the crumpled form on the floor. She appeared to be asleep. Obviously she had gone through something terrible.
    “If you’ll just give me a chance, I’ll care for her. She can’t be older than sixteen. There’s no way she’d survive in The World That Never Was. It’s too dangerous,†the lower-ranked man begged. Xemnas just laughed.
    “Roxas is a mere fifteen years old, and he survives,†he pointed out. Marluxia sighed, again glancing at the broken girl on the floor.
    “Roxas also has training and us to protect him. She would have no one,†he said. Xemnas was silent, his golden brown eyes now averting from Marluxia to the girl. Everything he had been taught told him to let her be thrown into the world, but something stopped him. Perhaps it was the begging of his member, and perhaps it was something else. Whatever it was, he assented.
    “Fine, you may care for her, on one condition. No one else in the Organization is to know she is here,†he explained to Marluxia. Marluxia nodded, but then stopped Xemnas before he left.
    “Axel already knows, sir,†he remembered. Xemnas nodded.
    “I’ll inform Axel right away that he is to tell no one of her presence, then,†he replied. Marluxia nodded. Xemnas walked away, his silvery gray hair falling just below his shoulders in the back. Finally, Marluxia’s azure eyes averted his Superior and he looked back at Roxes.
    “Looks like it’s just you and me then,†he muttered to the sleeping figure. He gently picked her up, careful not to wake her. Her slow breathing was the only thing that even signified that she was alive.
    Okay, if this part is too short and you want me to write more per update, just tell me. In Microsoft Word, that's a little bit more than a page. (I type in 10 pt. font. I don't know why, I just like it better.) So, it'll be easy to change how much I post each time.
    Hope you guys like it!
