So it's 2022, maybe later if you clicked on this after new years (which I mean I guess that's realistic for activity here these days), and I'm having fun just thinking how much this site had an impact on me.

I wasn't even here for any of the golden times. Unless you count me being around in 2008-2009 when I was roleplaying in threads in a script format badly. Badly. I didn't leave the RP section until I joined staff section, which was a choice.

But like, AMV editing got picked up because of this site. Enjoying FF was from this site. I'm asexual, didn't even know that was a thing until this site. Properly got mental health help because of this site (it could have done better but life is life).

I don't know why I'm dropping this **** in spamzone and I'm writing this like it's some sort of goodbye letter. I'm stuck here until the site goes down. Or Krowley's roleplay finishes (yes that's still going). But I guess I just wanted to thank any of you who still pop around here, since many of you had a huge impact on my life even if it's tiny things, And I hope you've all been well. All of you. Even the ones who probably would rather just forget I existed at this point. I've said some pretty ****** stuff, some bad in the moment, some terrible in hindsight.

If y'all ever wanna hit me up on discord, feel free, I'm probably there. And if any of you play FF14, I'm also pretty much always on that too.

I don't know if this has been discussed on any other forum at this rate but this topic has been driving me crazy when I think further about it.

So as far as what the public understanding of "norting" was. It was when someone (specifically Xehanort) put his heart inside another person and essentially seized control. We referred to the 13 darknesses having been norted respectively.

But... were they?

We got to see a lot of them operate and they had their own personalities, their own agendas. Some didn't even end up helping Xehanort in any form by the end of it. So it only begs the question "what did he actually do to them?"

Unless the whole system was essentially making people "half xehanort" (like what Xigbar implied happen to him), it seemed very odd to me that this plan would have worked at all if he managed to have gotten Sora. How did we know he wouldn't pull a Vexen?

Or would it have ended up working more like... what happened with Aqua?

You see we ended up with the scene where Ansem injected some sort of dark thing into Aqua and it ended up making her heart fall to darkness and despair. And I feel like in a situation where Sora was hit with Xehanort's heart something similar would happen. I don't think NORTING is the act of possessing someone. I think it's the act of influencing someone's heart to fall to darkness. He just used his own heart as the catalyst. Or possibly to make them more compliant.

The act of possessing someone's body is a different thing entirely with a different set of rules requiring someone to give up their old body in order for it to work. I've been referring to it as being "Luxu'd" now instead and I will whenever I bring it up further in this thread (but not in casual discussion because norted has become the common term). Named specifically after the fact Luxu has been doing the same thing which is how he's ended up in the body he calls Xigbar now.

Now I could have missed something completely with how the characters actually acted but considering they seemed to have their own agendas and emotional arcs I have a very hard time believing there wasn't more than just influence to fall to darkness. But if someone has something to point out please lmk.

Your homie asks you to come on in to this sketchy ass place and he's like "yeah there was this girl i hit up 10 years ago and she got stuck here and i wanna go find her again" and you're like cool. cool this is fine. you go to this beach that this guy saw her at a few years back and there's just huge ass mosquitos everywhere and you fight 'em off temporarily until they suddenly suck you in a vortex and you can't breathe and you hear yourself inner monologue and you finally wake up on the same beach and he's there wonderin if yer alright and you are except your weapon is broken and your hair suddenly changed.

no no wait. can you IMAGINE you're all excited to bring a friend back, that you probably have feels for cause he makes you feel like you have a heart, with some weird stuff that's probably necromancy but you've definitely dabbled in worse and you find out when you're called in from your training that he looks EXACTLY like this other guy. but it turns out you also met this guy 10 years ago. you've met them you just forgot completely cause you definitely would have mentioned this to the other guy before and they acknowledge you and you're like "wait christ okay i do know this guy cause he knows my name"

IMAGINE doing all the work and having everyone laugh at you for being inexperienced when you're the one literally getting everything done

This year was an interesting one for me since everyone was working this year so it wasn't like... only my dad and I buying presents. It was like every person in the house bought present. So I got a lot more this year than I usually do which was... admittedly odd since I was so used to it being a little more toned down but I ain't complaining.

What I got (highlights, not EVERYTHING is here):

• I got a bunch of Kingdom Hearts figurines... I've never heard of this particular brand before but I basically have Sora, Mickey, and... Lea? I don't think it's Axel. But the faces are really odd (if you wanna see a pic lemme know)
• Three t-shirts, one was a KH shirt, one was a Soul Eater shirt (i don't know why) and one was like... a Brock Lesnar shirt? I really don't know about that one.
• A TV! (I didn't have one for my room so it was nice to have my own dedicated TV
• Headset (I needed a new one)
• A winter coat (yaaas)
• I got a crystal thing that was had a picture of my mom and I in it. I liked it I just wasn't sure how to react to it.
• Perfumes and colognes (they didn't know which one I preferred... I liked both)
• A paint by numbers thingy
• A $50 steam card
• SOCKS and a sports bra i haven't had one of these in years
• A mini assorted chocolates thing and a chocolate orange. The classics~

One of the fun things about this whole Kingdom Hearts III coming up is figuring out who will be the 7 lights and the 13 darknesses. And while I'm not really partial towards looking into the 13 lights, one of my personal favorite theories has been figuring out who will be the 13 Xehanorts.

In Dream Drop Distance we ended up with a plot line going through the whole thing where Lea wakes up in Radiant Garden with other organization members and notices that Braig and Isa are gone. He goes through trying to figure out how to wield a keyblade and ends up discovering that Isa has become one of Xehanort's thirteen.

It's been subtly established since back in 358/2 days that Lea and Isa were best friends that slowly broke apart due to their lack of emotions or perhaps Isa's drive to just keep up with the goal for Kingdom Hearts in KH2. But with a line such as "Which would you rather suffer the loss of: some make believe friendship, or a real one?" Lea and Isa at that point viewed their friendship pre-nobody as more "real" and as a result that connection kept the two in at the very least decent contact with one another until ultimately Isa had to dispatch Lea for trying to help Kairi rather than helping out the organization.

As a result, while I'm not sure what the current feelings for Isa are for Lea, Lea most certainly still is connected to him because... well at one point he was his friend despite their current circumstances. He's gonna want to help Isa. So... let's go in on a bit of setup.

"Which one will it be?"

Sewing the Seed​

While there is just the possibility he knew it would be easier to go with Isa because of his loyalty up until the end other than the others... I feel like there's another motive here. Knowing full well there's a connection between Isa and Lea. I think it's a backup plan, the man with backup plans. I don't think he was initially thinking "I want Lea as my 13th". He still wanted Sora, and Lea unexpectedly interrupted those plans. Xehanort had amusement out of it, smiling as Isa went to go and attack Lea. He did not do that with the intent to interrupt how the story had turned. He did that to get Lea to know he indeed had Isa.

This was the seed planted for Lea to try and save Isa from Xehanort.

He successfully saved Sora (and as a result saved Roxas), but he couldn't save Isa. And he always brings his friends back.

I think Xehanort now knew he had another piece he could go after. An unexpected one that had a deep attachment to friends. And now Lea's goal is going to be without a doubt to help get Isa back.

The Recusant's Sigil
​

Here's one of the things I think everyone's kind of reluctant to remember, but I have trouble forgetting now that it's a thing. The sigil is basically Xehanort's way of tracking something he desires to track. And one of the unfortunate things Lea has done is that... he had everyone memorize that his name was Axel.

Axel includes the sigil. As a result, no matter how much he keeps telling people his name is Lea, everyone associates him as Axel. Now that he's defeatedly allowed people to keep calling him Axel, he's unknowingly allowing himself to keep Xehanort's sigil. So Xehanort is going to be able to keep track of Lea through this whether he wants to or not.

This may seem like nothing, but it's also the reason they're probably still able to keep track of Sora, because of Roxas and his own sigil. It may not be the case, but it's odd that it's a little harder for them to find people like Mickey and Riku. But that's the problem with the sigil being a thing.

Now He Has The Makings
​

Lea is now able to wield a keyblade, which already puts him a step above someone like Isa or Braig. It was the reason he was going after Sora in the first place was because an ordinary boy was able to wield a keyblade. Well, here's Lea. He's not necessarily ordinary, nor really is Sora, but he's now a wielder. Some people say this puts him in the Lights category but I'm hesitant to include Lea or Kairi in that equation yet.

He's now going through some pretty nice training in order to use the keyblade and be able to fight, which Xehanort might as well let happen. Heck, maybe Xehanort could sense it when he barged in to save Sora.

What I think is going to happen in KH3

I think most of the plot is going to be dedicated more towards Riku and Sora's ends with occasional pans towards Kairi and Lea training. I think Lea is going to get antsy about saving Isa. And when they're reaching the final war...

I think at that rate the lights are going to have the following: Sora, Riku, Mickey, Aqua, Ven, Roxas, and Xion (possibly Terra).

In this theory, I'm going under the assumption that Xion has become her own person and become their 7th light. Only because I don't think Terra can escape Xehanort until the end of this fight. It could very well be that he got another for the 13th and lost Terra and as a result he ended up with another empty 13th slot. Either way this opens near the final showdown and while the rest of the group is fighting the heartless, Lea is going to try and get Isa out of there before big fight in some sort of behind-the-scenes way. Maybe he's stealthy going in while the others are distracted and trying to get Lea away from the fight. Xehanort at this rate would probably be able to speak through Isa at this point in order to try and tell Lea that he'll "let Isa go" but only if he "gives himself up instead".

I think Lea is the sacrificial type and would take a moment of hestiation before eventually going for it, and releases Isa briefly to ease Lea into a false sense of security, before Master Xehanort gets over there and puts a piece of his heart into Lea and takes back Isa. And that completes the 13 that Xehanort otherwise would not have had after losing Terra. Making it a last minute "wait really? we thought we kept him from getting his 13" and instead Lea is lost.

I don't know what the fate would befall Lea and Isa afterwards. And the events may not play out this way. But I feel pretty confident this is how he gets his 13th.

This was written out at @Heart ❤ 's request but this is a theory I've had for a couple of years. If other people have written out a theory like this I promise you I have not seen them. It might be more concretely written if others have had it.

How Payment Works:
First purchase requires a 50/50 contract, you post the request and I give you a nifty little "like" and a spot on my "status/customer" board below. That is acknowledging that I have seen your request and have no problems with it and will begin working on it as soon as I receive half of the cost of the request.

Once the request is completed, I will give it over to you and you will give the other half of the payment. This process is to ensure no one skips out on paying. Once you've become a "returning customer" (this requires three requests), you will be able to just pay after the request is completed in full.

This can either be done through "Transfer Money" on the Bank tab above on KHV (please have the reason be "Gallery in the Cstars", or you can like my posts until I get the amount needed. Keep in mind each like on a post gives 2 munny.

Refunds on 50/50s:
I will take 2 weeks maximum to complete a request (exceptions for AMVs and roleplay graphics which will be discussed in private messages with the person dealt with). If it passes that date, I will return your half of the money and the request is yours free. If there is a technical problem on my end that makes me unable to complete your project sooner than the two week period you will be alerted immediately and a refund will also be processed.

I make great strides to make sure everyone's request is exactly to their liking. As a result, once the final product and your payment is finalized, there will be no refunds after that.

If a person pays through likes, I understand that in itself is just a mind-numbing waste of time, so if someone pays the 50% in that method, I will go back and like the equivalent sent to me.

This is inspired by Tale's "ask me about my DND bard" thread.

I'm currently having problems where I think of too broad concepts and the world building and don't think much about basic kinds of questions that should be on the simpler end of things. Or even just questions that may be irrelevant when thinking about what kind of a person they are.

I'm also gonna try and answer the questions in character as if talking to a very trusted friend with some of these deeper questions. Since realistically the character might not answer them but I wanna get a hang on realistic dialogue writing too.

Welcome! Welcome my friend! Well, you might not be my friend. I don't know who you are in this moment. You are meerly a hypothetical. As I imagine the door slowly creak open and watch your nonexistent face peer in. Possibly out of concern. Possibly not. Perhaps this is exactly what you expected. Perhaps you didn't know what to expect. But welcome! I don't exactly have anything planned today. I don't normally get visitors. Well, that's not true. My brother constantly has people over. But no visitors here for me. So I don't plan anything in advance. Or cook. Or anything like that. As far as I am aware you just kind of walked over and into the door without permission. Actually that isn't true either. You may have thought I gave permission. I didn't. I simply welcomed the stranger into my hypothetical since you were otherwise curious enough to keep going.

It's fine. It's all fine really. We'll all be fine. Well, maybe not. Some of us might not be fine. It's hard to create strawmen that are accurate, it's why you shouldn't use strawmen for anything other than chasing away crows. And I don't even know if that works. It may. It might be the same reason why they used to leave fake coyotes out on the baseball fields in my hometown to keep birds from eating seeds or staying away from the grass.

Aiight so lemme get this straight...

you're in a thread that's on a "controversial" topic that's more focused on well, calling staff members out. And you're sitting there, seeing Llave post like, his opinion on the subject and you become more focused on his offhand comment where he referred to someone as an indian?

I mean, I get your attempt at virtue here. You've got a group of people who were mislabeled for centuries because someone was bad at math. But is this really the time to police people on that particular thing.

I mean, if we wanna really get dirty here, putting all "native americans" as a collective is bad, as each tribe is really it's own nation. We really should be looking at it more along the lines of the way Europeans classify each and every part "italian" or "german" or "scottish" or "irish" or "polish" or "sheeping ****ing welshmen" but ya know.

Anywho. My subscribers have told me that we do this with Africans as well. Ya know, we aren't referring to people by each tribe. That's ridiculous, isn't it? I mean we're gonna be correctly labeling everyone because labels are super ****ing important. I wanna know what's up with that.

Anyway going back most people don't even refer to "native americans" as "indians" anymore unless we're specifically talking about THE STEREOTYPE. Ya know, the thing people want to get out of people's minds cause of how culturally appropriating it is. It's more of the idea of the indian. The turns of phrase, of the indian. It's kind of like what people do with gypsies. Oh wait I'm sorry that's romani. But ya know khajiit are just stereotypical romani and we love those guys cause cats are awesome.

I've lost my train of thought. Uh. Right. Are we gonna call out every tom, dick, and harry who calls someone an indian? We've got a whole generation of people who still refer to asians as orientals for ****ssake.

So I was having a back and forth convo with my dad on the phone when he brings up randomly "Oh I know I'm behind but I finally decided to watch Spectre" and I have absolutely no idea what he's talking about and responds, "Ya know, that James Bond movie that came out a couple years ago? I think that Sam Smith song won an oscar?"

Now I'm sitting there wondering who the hell Sam Smith is so I go and look it up and yeah, he's right on that account. But I clicked on the the James Bond films page on wikipedia. And there are a **** ton of these movies.

I don't understand how in god's name people keep track of series like this. Like, they aren't titled "Bond: Spectre" or something like that, so I don't know it's a james bond film. But there must be a really dedicated fanbase because these movies rank in a LOT of money. But I've like... never watched a james bond movie before?

Like, if I say "Oh I've never watched Back to the Future" or "Oh I've only seen the third Rocky movie" I usually get someone out there who goes "WHAT?" but if I say "I've never watched a James Bond movie" I don't think I've met a single person who throws recommendations out to me.

Not that I really want to, it's not my genre or anything. Spy stuff is a cool "idea" but the only movies I really like in this genre are either parodies or... well, does Spy Kids count? No, probably not. They don't seem to be into the espionage type stuff as much as "look at our super cool gadgets" they just couldn't call it "Assassin Kids" or anything, but if they could you know they would.

Anywho, James Bond movies. I hear they are good movies. I like some of the songs from them (honestly I'd pay good money to hear Adele sing Skyfall live, even if all I heard was her sing Skyfall). But I don't know anyone who really... talks about them? I mean, I'm not expecting Star Wars levels of frothing fanboys but I expect a presence in overall discussions about movies and I really... don't...

My main bother with this is that I don't look at a title to a film and go "Oh that's GOTTA be a bond movie" and maybe it's because I don't look for them but I never see trailers in advance or people talking about the latest buzz around the next Bond movie. So when I see a movie name like "Spectre" I sit there and say "That sounds like the name of some really dramatic film involving someone working with a ghost to topple a society or something"

If any of you read that and thought "uh cstar, that's not what I think of at all" then well, congratulations you don't have my thought patterns I suppose.

So what was the end point of this? Idr now. I got my energy out. Maybe make it so bond films have titles like "Die Another Day" or "You Only Live Twice" cause I'll definitely look at those and go "ah yes, the pretentious title of a Bond film"

Today I am going to initiate a rant about the keyblade inheritance ceremony, and why everything about it is wrong. Or rather, a better way to explain the ceremony and pretend that official explanations as to why people obtained the keyblades are wrong.

Today, we are going to mostly talk about Kairi:


This little picture here is the official explanation for why Kairi is able to wield the keyblade. But I have a few problems with this being the exact reason why Kairi can in fact wield it.

For example, do any of you remember this?


This was a little scene where Sora kind of handed off the keyblade to Jack Sparrow. Possibly as a joke, but the fact of the matter is that if anyone who touches the keyblade initiates the ceremony, are we going to end up with Jack Sparrow jumping in from the sky keyblade in hand to save the day?

Or perhaps people'll say "well, Kairi had the makings, Jack didn't." but the fact of the matter is... anyone who has the makings through the simple act of the taking can get the keyblade? I think this is a little bit of a problem .

Now, if we were talking about this particular moment being where Kairi got the keyblade:


THAT would make more sense to me. But even still... I never got the impression Kairi could actively wield the keyblade. She could just temporarily use it. I was never under the impression she could do anything other than hit people with it. Like a magically imbued stick or something. But if we're going to make it so the passing of the keyblade is a thing... shouldn't it be something more formal?

I was under the impression Riku accidentally performed the inheritance ceremony.

And maybe someone out there is yelling, "But for the inheritance ceremony to work, they have be a keyblade master!"



Terra wasn't a keyblade master. And still isn't a keyblade master (no matter what Arch says, he's not a keyblade master)

So therefore... this logic doesn't work. So, why would just someone touching the keyblade passing on inheritance be a thing?

Does this mean every single heartless that Sora hit, that turned out to be worthy, is going to come back with a keyblade in hand led by Jack Sparrow to save the day in Kingdom Hearts III?

This just doesn't make sense to me. And I just don't like the idea that touching a keyblade ever so slightly means that scared little girls can end up keyblade wielders.

Ya know...

So in February of this year, we opened up the Official KHV Server to everyone on KHV. So long as they let us know what their username was, they were whitelisted and messaged a little code to gain entry (since it wasn't exactly open access at the time) and for a little while there was a huge burst in activity, now it's kind of, well....

Actually, it's still active. Just not a lot of people. There's been a bit of a takeover by a lot of the RPA and some projects have been popping up depending on the will of the creator then. Sometimes there's dead spots, but overall there's generally about 2-3 people on a day with the server.

Now, when we first began, there were many more on the server, so this little thread has been created to ask everyone a few questions about it, so we can get a gauge in interest.

1. Were you aware there was in fact a KHV minecraft server? Have you used it?
2. If you used it, do you still actively use it?
3. What were some of your favorite experiences on the server?
4. If you are no longer active, is there a particular reason why you found yourself being deterred?
5. Is there anything you would like to see changed about the Minecraft server?
6. Extra comments you may have that do not fit in the other areas?

Overall, I've love to be able to see if we can make it so more people jump on in with all the fun. Currently, a few members have been working on making a HUGE city. And some of the more active members really like running around and showing all of our older projects to returning or new players!
