Okay, a lot of people have never heard of Jack Darren Reginald Jr. Those who have seem to enjoy telling me I give myself away too much, but whatever. Not the point. The point is, while I would love to stay here and continue writing stories and meeting new people, the problem is, I have a life ahead of me that requires my participation, and there's no real alternative. I can't stay here because my life is what it is: A life worth leaving the internet for. Let's look at the facts: I have a girlfriend. I have several friends who I would die for. I travel a lot. I'm never at home for more than a couple of weeks before I leave the States again for another trip. I'm a motocross junkie. I have to keep my house intact. The people who care about me and who I care about hate seeing me waste my life in front of a computer, because they all believe I'll become what my father's become: A once-was War Veteran Veggie. It's gotten that bad since he's come home from Afghanistan. He's gotten paralysis in his lower body, and a stray fragmentation grenade shard got lodged in his head, and the doctors are scared of the consequences of pulling it out, so he's literally become a rag doll who can barely hold himself upright. I can't stay here and deal with my real life at the same time, I have to choose which is more important. And I have chosen. I like how this is developing so far. Since I've never actually seen this story, because I was off writing Hero, this is the first I've heard of Pact of the Brotherhood. And I'm liking it so far.
