As per what Nomura said about Riku's eyes are open and Sora's are closed, my speculation is that Sora is the one really dreaming and doesnt realize it and Riku is wide awake, but still has "dreams" that which is similiar to REM sleep.

It definitely is Tron Legacy thought because in the Jump Fiesta trailer you see Rinslor (sp?) the dude Sam fights
in the arena. And for the Fantasia land, thats just Yen Sid's tower "Land of Departure" not a new world.
