A cartoon called The 99, which is coming to Hub (formerly Discovery Kids) in January is already getting protested by anti-Islamic dickheads.

From what I gather, it's about Muslim teenage superheroes.

I'm completely straight, but this bugs me.. why do so many people think homosexuality is a taboo subject? Lots of people won't tell their kids about it until they're old enough for "the talk", and in kids/family shows, people get angered when there's a moment on the border of homosexuality (i.e I saw a comment about an iCarly episode where two girls kiss lip-to-lip by some mother who was angered that the scene was there. And if it was a guy and a girl, she'd probably be fine with it.. bigot)

Why is this considered so taboo? It shouldn't be treated any different than heterosexuality is. Makes no sense.

During Nintendo's E3 conference, while discussing the 3DS just now, they were discussing third party companies that would be supporting the 3DS.

One of them was Square Enix. They said one of them would be a Kingdom Hearts game.

The logo wasn't really able to be seen, but it definitely wasn't Re:Coded.

Also, before anyone gripes about a third KH DS game, the 3DS is a completely new system. Not a remake like the DSi.

Maybe it'll be a 3DS Launch title that will be fully announced at E3 during the Nintendo conference?

[Probably the best place for this, dunno.]

With the Nintendo 3DS coming out in 2011, should one of the two upcoming KH games be for the 3DS? At the rate Nomura projected, it could be a 3DS launch title or a title to be released shortly after the 3DS's release (April 2011 or so)

It's going to be a DS that can do 3D effects (like movies) without glasses.

Now, technology, I want a hologram maker.

At this point, it is becoming illogical to keep it as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We have allies in the southern part of the world, such as Australia and New Zealand, and that's kind of excluding them.

So why not reinvent it as something like PETO (Planet Earth Treaty Organization... lame name, I know.), getting all current NATO members and adding new ones such as Australia, Japan, and possibly Russia, along with future members of NATO (which I believe include Israel and Ukraine)

As you probably know, a treaty between the USA and Japan some time ago stated that Japan could no longer have a military. Time has passed, and today, Japan and the United States get along wonderfully. There would be absolutely no threat of them attacking America. It'd be more likely for the moon to grow a giant horse head and fly into Jupiter.

Japan has a threat from being attacked by North Korea, and if such a horrible event were to happen, I don't think the USA needs to step in for Japan. Surely they could assist in getting revenge, but I am certain Japan could have a good military that could prove to be a wonderful asset.

Besides, Japanese cops apparently carry swords. Japanese soldiers would be ****ing awesome, then.

Also... it looks like Aqua's back has been uncensored. I guess that was one of the modifications.

This is 99% most likely real. Much too good of quality for it to be fanmade, and it has gameplay clips in English.

We all know about North Korea and how much of a problem they're being. They keep threatening to launch nuclear missiles at America, (mostly Hawaii) and Japan. Every time has been an epic fail, but what if they shot a missile at Honolulu and it made it?
[EDIT: Also, if they shot one at Japan, I'm certain that America and the rest of NATO would fight back.]
North Korea has no more allies. China is PO'ed at them, and Russia isn't exactly fond of them either.

If North Korea were to do a successful attack, look at all the allies America could have (excluding the USA for obvious reasons)

    -Canada
    -France
    -UK
    -Ireland
    -Australia
-Japan (give them a military again and they'd probably be really damn powerful)
    -New Zealand
    -South Korea
-China (if they sided against us, it would be a huge economic loss for them. We're a huge business partner.)
-Russia (thanks to Obama not being a dumbass like Bush and getting Russia angry, we're getting really close to an alliance.)
    -Albania
    -Belgium
    -Bulgaria
    -Croatia
    -Czech Republic
    -Denmark
    -Estonia
    -Germany
    -Greece
    -Hungary
    -Iceland
    -Italy
    -Latvia
    -Lithuania
    -Luxembourg
    -Netherlands
    -Norway
    -Poland
    -Portugal
    -Romania
    -Slovakia
    -Slovenia
    -Spain
    -Turkey
    -Israel
    -India
    -And possibly even more.

Now, granted, only some of them would most likely participate. But still. Let's just say it was just America, Canada, The UK, Australia, France, Japan, China, Russia, and South Korea participating.
America, Russia, and France have the largest amount of nuclear weapons in the world. We could easily turn North Korea into a crater with the amount of power that we have with us.

So, let's say North Korea launches a missile to Honolulu. It makes it.
Obama would more than likely not hesitate to gather some allies and attack back. South Korea would definitely want to help, China can't risk losing the business from America (they have a threat from them as well), Russia has a threat from them, Japan could be given a military again and would definitely help us, and I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of NATO members would help us too.

What is wrong with Kim Jong-il? What is driving him to want to attack one of the biggest powers in the world?
He's close to death by old age, but who knows if his son knows the right stuff to do?

North Korea is a rather small, ally-less country. Something needs to be done to get them to knock their BS off before it ends up a ghost country. It just takes one attack from their end for them to get their asses handed to them.

The end result could end up in something that would make Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like a elementary school science fair project.

So, what do you think? What could be done to stop such a disaster?

THE taxi operator who is accused of abducting and raping a 12-year-old girl, then burying her after believing he had strangled her to death, has been slapped with five criminal charges including attempted murder.

The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse yesterday said the man, Garsha Wilson, a resident of St Andrew, was questioned in the presence of his lawyer on Monday and also charged with abduction, cruelty to a child and malicious destruction of property.

He is to face the court on Friday.

The police said Wilson was held last week after a report was made to the St Andrew North police.
The police alleged that Wilson, who is believed to be a friend of the youngster, had two weeks ago abducted her while she was at the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre.

They alleged that he took the little girl to a home in Smokey Vale, St Andrew, where he raped her and then later tried to strangle her until she became unconscious. Believing that she was dead, the man allegedly buried her in a shallow grave.

However, the little girl later recovered, clawed her way out of the grave and made a report to her family who then informed the police.

Officers investigating the case said they are examining the possibility of a link to other cases, including that of Ananda Dean -- the 11-year-old girl who was abducted in 2008 and her headless body dumped in Belvedere, St Andrew.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – A toddler in Oshkosh is OK after taking his mother's car out for short spin down the block. Police said the mother of the 3-year-old boy told officers her son was asleep in the 1985 Buick sedan when she left it running and ran into the house for a moment Wednesday morning.
When she returned, the car was gone. Police say the boy knelt on the seat, pulled down on the gear shift lever and started to roll down the block.
The car had traveled nearly two blocks before an officer was able to stop the vehicle.

First, I have no direct link to the trailer. I did not have any form of recording with me.

My friend goes to this club at school everyday at lunch. I sometimes go there out of boredom. It's pretty much a gaming, anime, etc. club.

So, yesterday, I walked in at the start and saw an adult hooking something up near the overhead projector. I asked my friend if he knew what was going on, and he said "Oh, (student's name removed)'s cousin works for the game company Square Enix, and he's showing us a trailer today."
Interested, I stayed. Thinking it could be Kingdom Hearts-related, I got out a notebook and a pen. My friend luckily knows Japanese, since he's going to Japan this summer.

The guy turns off the lights and says "I'm not supposed to be showing you this trailer. This is for Kingdom Hearts III. This has to remain a secret, otherwise I could get fired."

    He then began playing it.

The cutscene graphics looked about the same as they were in KH2.
It starts off with Japanese text, reading that infamous like "There is no coincidence in fate."

A brief clip of Ansem and Aqua in the Dark Realm plays.

The scene then cuts to Sora with Riku and Kairi at the shore of Destiny Islands.
Kairi says "You are positive about this?", to which Sora and Riku reply "Yes."
Kairi then says she's going with them.

A brief scene then flashes of Riku vanishing, and Kairi running off.

Then we're shown Sora reuniting with Donald and Goofy. No dialogue.

Ominous music plays, and we see someone in an Org.XIII coat emerge in Twilight Town, and they walk up to a character that looks a lot like Riku, and does that name-generator thing Xemnas did with Roxas at the end of the 358/2 Days intro.
Then we're introduced to a new character. Ixruk.

The hooded person then takes off the hood to reveal that they are Xion. She has those gold-ish eyes now, which I believe signify being evil. She then says "Come with me."

She is then seen with Ixruk, walking up to what looked like Braig, Dilan, Aeleus, and someone I couldn't identify. She then says "We can soon create the Organization anew."

"Be My Last" by Utada Hikaru then begins to play, with what appeared to be clips from the intro playing. One of which was a version of that scene from the KH1 intro with Kairi and Sora looking up at the sky at the shore of Destiny Islands, seeing a meteor shower or whatever, only this time it was Xion and Roxas.

Sora is seen walking in Twilight Town with Donald and Goofy, and they encounter Pence, Hayner, and Olette. Hayner then says "Rematch?"

Also in Twilight Town, someone who looks a lot like Demyx (I presume his "somebody") is shown sitting in the forest playing guitar briefly.

It then cuts to Sora and co. approaching a new building, and someone looking a lot like Larxene (Again, I presume it's her somebody) is then seen.

We're in Hollow Bastion all of a sudden. Even is seen talking to Sora. My friend could translate him as saying "They're trapped. You need to guide them to the door to light."

Cloud is then seen next to Neku and Shiki from The World Ends with You, and he says something about Zack. Tifa then puts her hand on his shoulder in sympathy.

A heartless is seen about to surprise-attack Sora, and a character that looks like Maka from Soul Eater then attacks the heartless.

An older Lea and Isa walk past Sora and co. Lea stops and says "I can't help but think I know that guy.."

Gameplay time! Most of it went by too fast for me to make a lot of it out. I know I noticed the graphics are pretty much the same (maybe slightly improved), and I noticed only these:
-What appeared to be standard Heartless fighting. It looked like it was in Agrabah.
-A Kraken boss battle, on a pirate ship, blatantly Port Royal. The reaction command button was a circle with an "A" in the middle, so it looks like SE and Disney took the wise path and put it on the Wii. The PS3 doesn't have a button like that, neither does the 360, but the Wii certainly does.
-Fighting the Omnidroid from The Incredibles. Oh hell yeah.

    Back to cutscenes.

Port Royal time. This time, Sora and co. have pirate costume changes. And let me tell you..THEY WERE AWESOME. Literally, they actually made Sora look badass.

..Dwayne Johnson? He says something like "We'll help you. After all, you've helped us." I can only presume this is a Witch Mountain world.

Hollow Bastion again. Guy that looks like Luxord, he says something about challenging Sora. Guy that looks like Marluxia, no dialogue.

Toy Story world. Buzz approaches Sora and asks him "Are you a hero as well?"

Ixruk is fighting Sora, seemingly in Land of Dragons. Ixruk says "You're as weak as I remember." Sora gets a look of confusion on his face.

Stitch jumps onto Sora's head in a friendly matter. Lilo then laughs. Hawaii world, it looks like.

Oh god, this one I loved when my friend translated it. Edna Mode, with Sora. This. line.
    "This is a HOBO KEYBLADE!"

We then cut to a scene that appears to be either in a new original world, or in TWTNW. Sora and Aqua confront each other. Aqua yells "VANITAS, YOU ARE GOING TO PAY." and attacks Sora. You think you've seen Sora get his ass kicked before? HA.
Mickey then runs up and says "Aqua. That is Sora."
Aqua has a look of surprise on her face.

Ansem's voice says some stuff my friend couldn't comprehend, with various clips, including an EXTREMELY brief one that appeared to be Sora and Aqua fighting Evil Xion.

At the very end, I heard him say something like "Sloof Lirpa.." with a shot of Ixruk's face, and it cut to the logo, then "2011". I have no idea what "Sloof Lirpa" means. If anyone knows Japanese well enough to be able to translate romanized Japanese, that'd be awesome.

The guy then just answered a couple brief questions.

Q: Are those all the worlds?
A: No, there are several more, both old and new, including a world based off of Princess and the Frog.

Q: How long has it been being made?
A: Square Enix Japan began production sometime in 2008. We at Square Enix North America just recently were given this trailer.

He then said he had to go and once again told us not to spread this... but screw him. He can't tell me what to do, this is America.

If somehow you haven't figured it out, this is indeed an April Fools topic. If you do not know what April Fools is, I believe you have either been living under a rock or you recently quit being amish.

JACKSON, Miss. – An 18-year-old Mississippi lesbian student whose school district canceled her senior prom rather than allow her to escort her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo said she got some unfriendly looks from classmates when she reluctantly returned to campus Thursday.
Constance McMillen said she didn't want to go back the day after the Itawamba County school board's decision, but her father told her she needed to face her classmates, teachers and school officials.
"My daddy told me that I needed to show them that I'm still proud of who I am," McMillen told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "The fact that this will help people later on, that's what's helping me to go on."
The district announced Wednesday it wouldn't host the April 2 prom. The decision came after the American Civil Liberties Union told officials a policy banning same-sex prom dates violated students' rights. The ACLU said the district not letting McMillen wear a tuxedo violated her free expression rights.
McMillen said she felt some hostility toward her on the Itawamba County Agricultural High School campus.
"Somebody said, 'Thanks for ruining my senior year.'" McMillen said.
The school board issued a statement announcing it wouldn't host the event in Fulton, "due to the distractions to the educational process caused by recent events."
The statement didn't mention McMillen or the ACLU. When asked by the AP if McMillen's demand led to the cancellation, school board attorney Michele Floyd said she could only reference the statement.
"I guess they would rather do that than what's right, what's constitutionally correct," McMillen said.
Same-sex prom dates and cross-dressing are new issues for many high schools around the country, said Daryl Presgraves, a spokesman for GLSEN: Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, a Washington-based advocacy group.
"A lot of schools actually react rather than do the research and find out what the rights of these students are," said Presgraves, who was preparing to facilitate a discussion about anti-gay bullying at a National Association of Secondary School Principals meeting.
The school district had said it hoped a privately sponsored prom could be held. McMillen said if that happens, she's sure she'll be excluded.
"It's a small town in Mississippi, and it's run by an older generation with money. Most of them are more conservative and they don't agree with it," she said.
Fulton Mayor Paul Walker said he supports the school district's decision and knew of no private efforts to host the prom.
"I think the community as a whole is probably in support of the school district," Walker said of the town of about 4,000.
Itawamba County is a rural area of about 23,000 people in north Mississippi near the Alabama state line. It's near Pontotoc County, Miss., where more than a decade ago school officials were sued in federal court over their practice of student-led intercom prayer and Bible classes.
A couple of students had different reactions to the decision.
Anna Watson, a 17-year-old junior at the high school, was looking forward to the prom, especially since the town's only hotspot is the bowling alley, she said.
"I am a little bummed out about it. I guess it's a decision that had to be made. Either way someone was going to get disappointed — either Constance was or we were," Watson said. "I don't agree with homosexuality, but I can't change what another person thinks or does."
McKenzie Chaney, 16, said she wasn't planning to attend the prom, but "it's kind of ridiculous that they can't let her wear the tuxedo and it all be over with."
A Feb. 5 memo to students laid out the criteria for bringing a date to the prom, and one requirement was that the person must be of the opposite sex.
Presgraves said his organization hears about school districts that prohibit same-sex prom dates and gay-straight alliance clubs at schools. He said those kind of policies are detrimental to gay students.
"It sends a message that these students shouldn't be treated the same," Presgraves said.
