Garett heard Topaz introduce herself, and immediately got to his feet. "Nice to meet you, my name is Garett!" He returned her gesture and shook her hand. Torchic scaled the length of Garett's body an triumphantly perched on his head with a satisfactory chirp. "This is Torchic, although you probably already knew that." Garett said, referencing his earlier outburst. "Thanks for the welcome, I was a little caught up in the current happenings to really notice anyone else... Sorry about that." Garett blushed slightly at his Faux pas. Torchic leaned down and pecked at Garett's forehead, then gestured towards Eve. Garret realized what Torchic was wanting and introduced the duo to the Pokemon as well. Garett suddenly noticed the silver gleam of Eve's fur, and blushed again for failing to realize that Eve was shiny until now. "Wow," he said, "Eve is beautiful!" Torchic chirped in agreement and the two stepped aside to allow Equitas to speak to Topaz as well.

“Garett, how about you go first?"

After hearing this, Garett's heart nearly jumped out of his chest! He knew exactly what he wanted, and he hoped with everything he had that there was still one left.

"TORCHIC!!!" He found himself shouting. Garett lowered his voice and continued speaking. "Is there a Torchic?" He queried, with much more composure than before. The machine began to rumble and hum. A short burst of light appeared and dissolved in an instant. There in front of him was a Pokeball. He picked it up, cradled it in his palm, and pressed the button in the center. What followed was a burst of light and a high pitched chirping as Torchic burst from the Pokeball. "TORCHIC!" Garett screamed at the top of his lungs. The memories instantly began flowing into his mind like a flood of raging emotions. It was like reuniting with a long lost friend. He began to cry as he held the warm bird close in to his chest. The warmth of the flame inside the small Pokemon became too much, and Garett had to let go. He watched the torchic bounce around him, chirping and hopping. He was so excited to be outside of the Pokeball. As the memories subsideed, and Garett regained his composure, he stood up, and placed his new companion on his shoulder. "You're a fiery one aren't you?" Torchic's look of joy subsided for a moment as she gave Garett a look of disapproval for the terrible pun. "Sorry." He replied. Garett turned towards the professor ready to thank him. He approached the man, and wrapped him in a large bear hug. "Thank you so much!" he said, before taking off towards wherever he might find the gym. After smacking face first into the door a second time, he fell to the floor. Now that I think about it, I don't even know where the gym is... "I'll wait here until everyone is ready." Garett said, still lying on the floor.

Clay quickly chased after Kross. He had taken off so fast that Clay barely had any time to think. They began a full on race up the stairs, probably not the safest idea, but still fun nonetheless. After a few times around the spiral, the place opened up, literally. The stairs led int a door that was floating in midair in a vast, seemingly endless space!
"Woah! This is amazing!" They view had taken his breath away. "Do, you think it ever stops?" Clay asked, not entirely expecting an answer. As the two ascended further and reached the door, Clay stepped to the side and gestured towards it. "Ladies first." He teased. With a grin on his face, he opened the door for Kross.

He had been waiting so long, and he had finally made it. It seemed like the flight had taken forever, but it was only a few hours.

He had been around Pokemon his whole life, as had everyone else, and became a trainer when he turned ten. After five years of traveling with his Pokemon, Garett decided to retire from training, however, he had recently heard about the academy, and it re-lit the fire in his heart. He remembered how much he loved battling, and how much he loved his Pokemon, and he decided to start a new journey at the PokAcademy.

Garett approached the red-roofed building he had seen many times before. A Pokemon Center, he thought. Distracted by the memories of his previous escapades to such buildings, Garett began to approach the automatic doors. They didn't open right away, and he hit them with a loud "THUNK." They opened almost immediately afterward. Ouch! I really need to remember to watch my step here.

As Garett entered the building, he adjusted the strap of the bag on his shoulder. It wasn't too heavy, as it only carried a few changes of clothes, and a picture of his girlfriend and her Munchlax; Chubby. He figured he could get everything else he needed at the PokeMart. Well, he hoped there was a PokeMart. He noticed an unusually large group, at least for a Pokemon Center, gathered near the trading machines. He begain to approach and he heard the end of someone's sentence. "...udent here. Sorry for being a day late." As Garett examined the situation it appeared that Nurse Joy was helping to students trade while one was introducing himself to the tall, and rather handsome man at the center of the action. The man's intense brown eyes met Garett's own of the same color, and he could immediately tell who this was. Garett waved politely without a word, unsure of what to say to the dean of the academy that he had arrived a day late to.

I think that would be absolutely brilliant. I would love to see Ralph trying to convince Sora he was in a game, and have Ralph jump onto his health bar and say something like "You mean you've never noticed this before?" and Sora would believe that it was just an attribute of the world he was in. And certain cutscenes could have Sora getting smacked around a little and Ralph jumping onto Sora's health and just stretching it back out! Or maybe that's a limit effect, it would all just be too perfect!1kwahdgfkasdfcdfv

Clay winced as the light began to fade as quickly as it came into existence. When he looked up, he could see his and Kross' reflections in the mirror, but it was distorted somehow, like settling water. After Clay had watched the mirror settle, he tried to touch the now smooth looking surface. Solid, he thought. It didn't budge. Clay noticed something else as well however. They were no longer in the Castle! They were in a room filled with mirrors and a big staircase. There was only one door, but something about it seemed.... impenetrable, Clay thought. There was light coming from around the edges of the door, and it seemed to be glazed over somehow. "Kross, where are we? What's with the mirrors? How did we get here? Why does the door loo-" Clay stopped himself, he had just started spewing out questions without thinking. "Sorry." he said to Kross, who was probably just as confused as him. "Let's start small. Can you check that door, and figure out where we are maybe?"

Clay entered the throne room with Kross, and brandished his keyblade. The shiny metal gleamed in the beautiful light that leaked in through the windows. "Let's do this." Kross said with a grin on his face. Clay smiled, and set into his battle stance, both hands on his blade, held horizontally above his head, legs set wider than shoulder width, and knees slightly bent. Clay could feel the adrenaline pumping through him. He was ready. He was excited! Clay dropped his keyblade down and behind him, preparing for an uppercut, and started into a charge. He was closing in on Kross, and fast. Just as clay was about to bring his keyblade up, Kross quickly raised his and brought it back down to parry. In the ensuing struggle, Clay noticed a bright light out of the corner of his eye. He stepped to the side and let Kross' keyblade slide off of his and into the ground. "Hold on," Clay said, "what's that?" Clay was pointing towards the light, and he began walking towards it.

    "Relax, it's just a name."

lol n00bs are so lame, if you have less than 300 posts your totally a n00b and should stay home.

In all seriousness, I don't think n00biness has anything to do with time on the sight, as it does just Maturity in some cases, and knowing the community in others. I am quite obviously new to the site, but I feel welcome and right at home. I didn't have any trouble making posts or contributing to existing threads. And, while I do agree with Misty about the whole power structure deal...
I also believe that there are plenty of friendly people on this website that help the new kids feel welcome and that's a really good thing!

Below, I'm going to be honest, You didn't seem very welcoming at first, but after reading a few more of your posts across the site, I do appreciate your opinions, and I think your input is very constructive. That is one of the strongest aspects that you all have in my opinion. I have seen a miniscule amount of threads where people's posts were unhelpful, unconstructive, or just unfriendly in general. I know I probably do not speak for everyone when I say this, but I like what you guys are doing. I don't think you really need to change anything!

Clay smiled at Kross' compliment. He offered to spar with him in something called 'struggling'. "I'd love to spar!" Clay returned, "We don't get many good fights at home." he continued jokingly. He was looking forward to seeing just how competent he was with his keyblade, and also to seeing another wielder fight. "Maybe we can head outside now. I've eaten my fill, and I'm ready as ever!"

As Clay was cleaning up, Kross explained how the other wielders were on missions in other worlds, and that we might be able to use some crystal that belonged to Master Eraqus, who was apparently the master of this castle, as he had explained earlier, to see them. "No thanks, I think I'd rather just wait and meet them in person." Clay said with a smile. Kross then asked how he got here. "I don't really know," Clay responded, "there were instructions in my letter from Master Yen Sid, and I just followed them. From what I gathered in this conversation though, I guess what he was telling me to do was to use the Lanes Between and my keyblade glider. I just kind of did it, not exactly sure how. Maybe that is something I will be able to learn while I am here." Clay finished the drink from his glass, and walked back towards Kross, eager to learn from the man, and excited to spar!

I don't know what I am thinking of then, I always remember my component cables having like five different plugs.

The Component cables should still work, they already have the AV cables (white, red, yellow) on them, you just wont be able to plug in the green and whatever other color. I think its another red.

As Kross gave his response, Clay's smile grew. They had chosen completely opposite paths, yet, somehow, they were the same. All that they wanted to do was to be able to help people. They just had different strengths and ways of helping. "I say," Clay began, "That was a good choice. Who needs strength when you have magic?" His smile had grown, Clay found himself almost laughing. He knew, that even though Kross may not have valued strength of body, his heart and mind were strong.

After remembering that dream, his 'dive', and speaking with Kross, he was beginning to understand. Maybe, he thought, strength of heart is the first step in wielding a keyblade. Although he still wasn't sure exactly what a keyblade was, or what it meant to have one, he was almost certain he was right. After Clay had eaten his full and asked a few more questions, he began to wonder about the others that Kross had spoken of. "So, where exactly are the other keyblade weilders?" he asked. "I'd really like to meet them!"

'Mystic' the word rang in Clay's head like a gong. Something about it seemed so familiar. Then he remembered. It come flooding into his mind. Clay remembered where he was when he was passed out. He was in a dream. He was told in his dream that he had been chosen to defend the light, but he first needed to awaken the power that slept within him. He had this dream several times before, but he was always woken up. But not this time. While he was out, he was allowed to dream uninterrupted. "The path I chose," he began, "was that of the warrior. I want to be strong, in body and in heart, so I can help people." but he also remembered that this power came at a cost, you had to sacrifice a path as well. "I sacrificed the path of the Mystic." He said, hoping not to offend his new friend. "Not because I think it's unimportant, but because I want to help people with my own strength." He explained hoping that Kross would understand. "What about you? What did you sacrifice?"

Clavis was ecstatic at the thought of food. His mouth was watering already. "Come on!" He heard Kross shout, "The dinner hall is this way!" Clay excitedly chased after him, almost tripping on his way up the stairs. When Kross opened the large twin doors at the entrance of the castle, Clay could feel the warmth from inside. The Light, he thought, It's so warm. His home world of Dissident Valley was always dark and cold. Even during the day, there was always some sort of overcast preventing the light from truly coming through. Clay welcomed the warmth with outstretched arms. After a moment of embrace, he ran inside.

The castle was enormous! He was distracted from his hunger for a moment, thinking of how many rooms there must be, how much space there was, however, his stomach soon reminded him with a loud grumble. He grabbed his stomach and laughed. "Sorry." He said to Kross before running to catch up. He laughed with Kross as they walked. He really liked this guy. He welcomed me with such an open heart. No one back home would've done that. They were always to worried about themselves, making themselves stronger. Always leaving those who needed help to fend for themselves.... or die trying. Clay quickly tried to take his mind off of this. He wasn't there anymore, he was here. A new place, with new people. A fresh start. If what I've been told is true, then I can really help people. I'd choose that over home any day. Clay looked forward to meeting all of the keyblade wielders. If Kross was any indication of how the others were, then he really might enjoy this new journey. As the pair approached the door of the dinner hall, Clay asked his first question. "So, what exactly is a 'keyblade'?"
